The next morning, Logan woke in a nice comfortable bed that he realized did not belong in his cramped uncomfortable apartment. He also realized that he slept with his eyes opened. How odd. He has never done that before. Or so he thought. He pushed his blankets away from him, instantly feeling the loss of warmth. The feeling was short lived as he crawled out of bed and moved his thoughts to the next aspect about getting up in the morning. He moved over to where his bags were. He briefly noted his terrible aim last night and pulled some clean clothes from his bag. He changed swiftly into plain, baggy black pants, a dark red shirt and his well worn black hoodie from the day before. Ready for the day, but not willing to let himself be lost in this strange new place, he sat down on the edge of the bed and waited.

After a few moments, Logan fidgeted. He began twisting the comforter on the bed beside him. Thoughts eventually began to slip into his mind unbidden. Logan threw himself back on the bed, and let his mind overtake him. He was worried and uncomfortable. He did not understand this world, though he has only been here a short time since he could remember. ‘There I go again,’ Logan thought. ‘I’m starting to believe what they said was true. It makes sense, but how can I ever be sure unless I remember everything myself?’

His wait lasted about a half an hour before there was a knock upon his door. Eager to escape his thoughts, he leapt from the bed and flung his door open. Then he grasped onto it desperately as the blood rushed to his head.

"Are you well?" Erestor reached out to steady him.

"Yes, I just stood up too fast," Logan replied, hoping that was all that made him dizzy.

"Very well. We will be dining away from the main room until we are able to properly reintroduce you to your previous life," Erestor explained as he led Logan from his room.

“How can you all be so sure that I’m this Legolas guy? Cuz even if I am, I’m too different to just fall back into a previous mode. If I remember anything, that is.” Logan really did not care for the way everyone spoke as if this was just an odd moment and that when he remembers he'll back to his normal self, whatever that meant. He truly wanted to know what happened before the fateful day when he woke up but he did not like how everyone else knew about his life but him. The strain was building steadily in the back of his mind ever since he woke, though he was attempting to hide it well in front of others. The thought of finally knowing who he was became a terrifying and wonderful reality.

Erestor stopped and turned to him, Logan copied his actions, slightly puzzled. “You are Legolas Greenleaf, prince of Mirkwood, betrothed to Elladan and Elrohir Peredhel, sons of Lord Elrond, lord of Imladris. I know who you are because I have known you since you were a child,” Erestor opened his mouth to say more but he was cut off by Logan’s startled cry.

“First I’m a prince, then I’m betrothed to not one but too guys? What else about my life do I not know? Let me guess. I become furry on the night of the full moon. No? Maybe I’m not human. Well maybe I’m a couple thousand years old. Or maybe—” Logon saw the look in Erestor’s eyes. “Okay, which one was right? With my luck it was the furry one… I think I’m going to pass out…” His voice rose to hysterical heights before plummeting to a near whisper during the last few words.

His loud words echoed down the long corridor and drew attention to the two. Logan wavered on his feet before collapsing. Arms slid down his waist and held him upright. He stayed slumped against the warm chest with his eyes closed. He worked on his breathing for a few moments then opened his eyes. He looked up to meet pure grey eyes. He was being held by one of the twins. Elladan came to mind first, though he did not know why. He blinked up at him and the grey eyes softened.

He turned back to Erestor and said, “I think I would like to go back to the room.”

“Perhaps it would be best if you returned to your rooms until we are able to speak more. I will have food sent up to your rooms,” Erestor replied, gazing with hidden concern.

“No food, thanks. Not hungry,” Logan replied absentmindedly as he attempted to huddle until the warmth in the embrace without being obvious.

“Glorfindel spoke of how you have not eaten much lately. Even if you are not hungry, you need to eat.”

“Send the tray to Leg—Logan’s rooms. We shall escort him there,” the twin, who he thought was Elladan, said. He looked just to the side to realize that the ‘we’ included his brother, who stood just to the right of him.

Erestor turned and continued purposely down the hallway. Logan gently pushed himself to a standing position away from the dark haired elf. Slowly, he turned to the elves that were among those to inadvertently cause and witness his minor breakdown.

“Thanks for catching me… I can’t believe I practically fainted. I’m usually more levelheaded, you know, when I’m not being told about my life from someone else,” Logan said, blushing.

“It is alright. Your reaction was understandable. The emotional turmoil was most likely a delayed result from yesterday.” Logan decided to go with his instincts. If the one who caught him was Elladan, then this was Elrohir.

“I suppose. Do you know which way my room is? I don’t think it’s far… I hope it’s not far…I’m lost,” Logan began peering down both directions that the corridor leads. It did not help that he could see cross sections down one way and could not for the life of him remember if he ever took a turn.

“Of course. Your rooms are this way.” Logan was gently lead back to the place he spent the night.
