Chapter Six: No Repercussions?
"Did you hear that?"
"Hear what?"
"It sounded like Viggo." What was Viggo doing there?
"Orli, I think you've lost your mind." Elijah slid off the bed and pulled his boxers back on. "What would Viggo be doing here?"
"I don't know. Hang on." Orlando stood and walked over to the bedroom doorway. "Vig? Is that you?"
"Yeah," called Viggo from the loungeroom. "Your door was unlocked."
--Fuck me seven ways from Sunday.-- "Eh, I'll be right there. Lij, stay in here for a minute, yeah?"
Elijah looked at Orli and nodded. "Sure, Orli. I'll keep out of sight."
"That's not what I meant, and you know it. I just don't know what's going on. I'm a bit mixed up about all this, to be honest with you." Orlando kissed Elijah softly on the lips, pulled his denims on, and went into the lounge.
*~*~*~*
Viggo was sitting on Orlando's couch when Orli walked into the room. He looked a bit tense; as though he had something on his mind.
"Hey, Viggo."
"Hey." Viggo stood and pulled Orli into a rather deep kiss, which Orlando returned without thinking.
When the kiss ended, Orlando stood dumbfounded, staring into Viggo's eyes. "What the bloody hell was that?"
"I'll tell you what it was," came a voice that wasn't Viggo's. "It was proof that I'm a fucking idiot!"
--Shit. Shit, shit, shit.-- "Lij, it's not- "
"What the hell's going on here, Orlando?" Viggo was looking at Elijah, who was clad only in his boxers and t-shirt. It was more than obvious what was going on, but that was the only thing Viggo could think of to say.
"Orlando's a fucking liar, that's what. I bet he told you he loved you, too."
"Elijah, don't be daft," Orlando started to say, but Viggo cut him off.
"So telling me you love me would be daft?" Viggo could not believe what he was saying. Love? Orlando?
"No, of course not! But I don't- at least not *love* love."
"Right. Because *that* would be daft, as you put it. I'll see you on set. Elijah, nothing personal." Viggo nodded toward Elijah before turning and leaving Orlando's flat.
"Yeah, nothing personal." Elijah went back into the bedroom to finish getting dressed. Orlando was right behind him.
"Lij, I really do love you. I do."
"Me and everyone else."
"No! Fuck!" Orlando moved to stand directly in front of Elijah. "I never told Viggo I loved him, and I never made him believe that I did. We had one night together. *One night.* He's a great guy, but we're only mates. I swear."
"Orli, please, I need to leave. I need to get away from you right now. I know a lovers' kiss when I see one. And I saw one." Elijah pushed past Orlando and headed for the front door. "And don't say it was one-sided, because you kissed him back."
Elijah was right. Orlando *had* kissed Viggo just as much as Viggo kissed him. But he wasn't in love with Viggo; he was in love with Elijah. And Elijah was in love with him. Weren't they supposed to be together if they were in love?
Before Elijah could leave, Orlando grabbed him by the shoulders and pushed him up against the wall. Using the weight of his body to hold Elijah where he wanted him, Orlando moved one of his hands up to cup Elijah's chin. "*This* is a lovers' kiss," he said, covering Elijah's mouth with his and kissing him with a rough passion the likes of which Elijah had never experienced. "I suggest you learn the difference."
