SUMMARY: Casey wanted to be rid of her old life in Britain and start again in the USA with the guys. But could she.

The plane landed on time, Casey was expecting not be met by anyone as she didn't ring Annie back, after the trick she used on her a week ago.
She came through customs and was heading towards the taxi rank with all her gear when a voice behind her said,
"Isn't my car good enough?"
She turned to see Annie and Elijah looking at her, She came over and hugged her,
"Did you do it, are you here for good?"
Casey nodded.
"And free to love again?" she asked. looking into her friends eyes.
"Nothing left in England anymore." she replied.
Annie hugged her again.
Elijah stood next to them, when Annie let go of her, he didn't say anything just silently walked.
The drive was long and quiet. Annie and Casey sat in the first car, and Elijah and Will followed in the second car, both were loaded with her gear.
"You know it's gonna take a while for Elijah to come back to you?" Annie broke the silence.
"I'm expecting him not to come back at all." Casey replied.
"Oh he'll be back, that's for sure."
"I don't deserve him even though I love him more than any other man in the world." and with that they fell silent for the rest of the journey.
Annie, Elijah and Will helped her get the stuff from the cars and into the house. They stayed for a while and then Annie said.
"We're going now, I think you and Lij need to have a good long talk. I'll come and see you tomorrow, call me if you need me."
"Thanks for everything Annie, I mean that," she said hugging her.

He stood looking through Caseys big music box she had brought back with her, he didn't say a word.
"Are you ok?" she asked trying to spur something from him.
"Yeah," he replied.
"Everytime she spoke all she got was one word replies.
"For christ sakes Elijah, say something, I can't stand this, yell at me, shout, shake me, do something, get it off your chest!" she shouted at him.
He looked at her, came over, caught both her arms, and kissed her roughly.
"Is that what you want?" he snarled, " because that's all I got right now."
Well at least I got a reaction she thought, staring at him.
"I want you to talk to me, I want to get this out into the open, ask me anything."
"All I want to know is why did you not tell me, did you think you'd have some fun while you were here, and I was the prat you'd laugh at while you were doing it?"
"It wasn't like that," she said shaking his hands off her arms.
"What was it like then, you tell me, because I can't see it any other way."
"I didn't come over here with the intention on doing this, I didn't ask to love you, it just happened. I had intended to stay faithful to my husband."
"Ah, your husband, and just when was you going to tell me about him, or wasn't you?"
I would have told you eventually, I didn't know where or when to. I went back to end things, so I could make a life over here, hopefully with you as part of it. I love you Elijah."
"You didn't look like you were ending things on camera." he said sarcastically.
"I wouldn't make anyone look silly on camera, and you know it." she snapped.
He went silent and thought for a while.
"I'm sorry Lij, I didn't mean to hurt you, it's the last thing I ever wanted to do." she said slowly and sadly.
"Well you did a cracking job of that one." He picked up his car keys, looked at Casey with tearful eyes, "I don't know if I can come back from this one, I need to think, need to think about us, I'll be seeing you." and he left.

was all she wrote and put it in an envelope with his address on it, stamped it and stuck it in the mailbox, her suitcase was packed and she drove over to Annies place.
"Hi Casey," she said as she opened the door.
"I'm gonna have a holiday, just thought I'd let you know," she said over a cup of coffee.
"Where are you going?"
"Oh I don't know, one of those driving across the country ones."
"Can I come with you?" she asked
"What about Will?"
"He left yesturday to go to Hong Kong, he'll be gone for a good month or so, doing a film, all my courses are finished, so a holiday would be good."
"Yeah you can come, how long will it take for you to be ready?"
"Give me a couple of hours." she replied.
"Ok I've got a couple of things to sort out, I'll see you soon, look can I borrow your car to do them, it'll be easier than using Old Bill."
Sure, keys are up on the rack."
"Thanks, see you in a couple."

She needed to drop her signed divorce papers into her solicitors, left her instructions and popped home, Seeing as Annie was going with her she had to put on the detailed security, and tell the police that she wouldn't be around. She gave them phone details and the security number and then locked the house.
Casey sauntered back to Annies car hopped in and jumped out of her skin when a voice said.
"Going somewhere?" she turned and Elijah was looking at her.
"Annie and I are going on a touring holiday." she said with gasping breath, "Jesus Elijah, you made me jump."
"So I saw, how long are you going for?"
"I don't know, how long's a piece of string?" she answered.
"Still uptight I see." he said
"What do you expect, I don't hear a squeak from you and it's been nearly a month now since you walked out my door." she snapped.
"Well I had alot of thinking to do." he replied, lighting up a cigarette.
Casey lent over and took one from his packet and lit it.
"I thought you gave up." he said.
"Yeah well I just started again" she snarled and gulped as the smoke went down into her lungs and then proceeded to cough her guts up.
"Shit, I never liked these cigarettes of yours." she coughed out.
He gave her a swift few slaps on the back and she stopped.
"Better!" he laughed.
"Thanks!" she took another draw on the cigarette and her body remembered.
she looked at him, "Anyway what are you doing here, you turn up out of the blue, shit me out of my skin and I don't know why."
"Do you still love me?" he asked.
She choked on the cigarette again and tossed it out the window. "Well I did give up everything, for you in particular, but that was over a month now, so...e lee left it at that, (sod it why should I give him the pleasure of knowing about the endless nights with no sleep, the endless tears I cried), she looked at him, hopefully with stubborn eyes, but she knew she was failing miserably, Casey could feel tears stinging, "I've got to go, Annie will think I'm not coming."
He put his hand on her arm and she shivered to his touch.
"I can feel you come alive with my touch," he murmured as he lent towards her and ran his tongue down her neck and kissed her bare shoulders, she let out a groan which she fought so hard to keep contained, "Do you still love me, want me, do you still need to feel me filling you?" he said as he made his way round to her mouth, kissing her tenderly, she couldn't help but respond, her mobile rang and broke the spell, she jumped again, pulled from his grasp and fumbled for her phone, putting it on hands free.
"H.h.hello!" Casey said.
"Ah, it's Antonio mam, are you sure about the bit of not getting anything from Mr Duchovny?"
"Oh yes, I just want to get out of the marriage, I don't want anything from him, we made agreements while I was over there and I don't go back on my promises."
"Fair enough, so it's an easy divorce then, I like these ones, ok, I'll call when I hear from his solicitors, bye for now, I'll be in touch mam." and the line went dead.
Casey sighed and looked forward, she searched in Annies dropdown and found a packet of cigarettes, "that's more like it," as she drew the smoke into her lungs.
Elijah didn't say anything, just sat there looking forward,
"Well look, I've really got to go." she said at last. He looked at her,
"You didn't answer my question."
"No I didn't did I, I would have thought that was obvious just now," she replied. "Nould uld you please leave, I've really got to."
He gave her a smile that reached the bottom of her stomach and she stared at his inviting lips, she was unconsciously licking hers.
"Yeah that is so obvious," he said opening the door. "Call me..SOON!"
"Do you still love me?" she shouted at him, he stopped, turned and looked, came over, lent in through the window, the kiss was powerful, it set her on f it it made her whole body ache with need for him.
"Remember that feeling for when you return," he said softly, "and yes I do, I never stopped."
He was gone again, leaving her sat in the car staring at the spot where his car was parked. Casey didn't know how long she was sat there, but the message tune on her mobile brought her back to life.
"I love you, I need you, I want you, E. XXX it read.
she sent a reply. "DITTO!"
