Part 6
Part 6…
Lórien walked softly, a smile gracing his face as the black mist swirled about him and drifted upwards as the movement of feet disturbed its rest, caressing first his ankle, then upwards to his calf before performing a graceful dance away from him to gently trail behind, eventually settling back upon the ground and returning to its previous motion of rolling sideways, creating the look and feel of a giant black cloud.
Halting he waited until the mist had completely settled, disturbed now only slightly as it rolled about his feet in black waves, passing silently by. Closing his eyes Lórien focused on his destination, breathing steadily and deep. Finding what he was looking for he concentratardearder, mentally pulling his target closer. Opening his eyes his smile turned into a smirk of satisfaction at the thin crack of silver light that lay directly in front of him puncturing the endless black that continued to roll steadily by.
Reaching forward with on hand he hooked three fingers into the silver tear and, ever so cautiously, pulled it apart until he could peer through to the other side. Finding his quiet intrusion had gone unnoticed he gently widened the gap unti cou could slip through. With his back facing the newly created hole he directed his attention at the scene before him, rakhis his gaze across that large assembly of elves that danced joyfully in a fire lit clearing. Finding the fair haired elf he sought Lórien narrowed his eyes. After a few moments thus he raised his arm up and then let it fall back down to his side, the subtle alterations to the dream occurring without a hitch.
Continuing to watch Lórien smiled in satisfaction as the first step of his machinations fell perfectly into place. Content that the dream was now playing out as he wished he ghosted back through the small tear and tenderly closed it again, letting it disappear and drift within the black mist once more.
Closing his eyes again he focused on his second target and began to mentally pull that dream towards him, intent on convincing the Lord of Imladris that an impromptu gathering in a clearing with a bonfire would be a brilliant idea.
Completing his short visitation with Elrond he softly closed the second tear and contemplated a visitation to the Lords dark haired advisor, after all having another influential elf wanting an impromptu bonfire might be beneficial to his scheme.
Deciding a brief visit to Erestor was in order Lórien closed his eyes once more and pulled the third dream towards him. Gently parting the silver tear leading to Erestors dream he peered inside and froze in shock. Well this was unexpected! Closing the tear he stood in contemplation for several minutes. It would appear that his plans would have to be altered somewhat as Erestor had just been assigned a new role in his scheme. With a rueful shake of his head Lórien departed from the dream realm, knowing he had further plotting to do before the new day arrived. Apparently a matchmaker’s job was never done.

Response to Reviews (long long over due - sorry about the delay)
Janina - Thank you, and I'm working on it when ever I have the time.
Sheeijan - I've got a certain fondness for Lorieselfself (the little brat won't stop being a brat). And stop reading my mind with your mental images - how are you doing that?
Hyperbole - No worries, there will be no bashing of Varda (have't made up my mind on how that little detail is going to be handled yet... but I won't bash her I promise).
Anita - Glad I could cheer you up *hugs* And as for recognizing the Vala there might be something along those lines with Namo, but not Manwe or Lorien *has just had a wonderfully devious idea...Oooooo can't wait to write it (although it'll be awhile till I reach the part where it'll fit in nicely) - bounces*
Lada - I know and I'm sorry the chapters are so short - but they just kinda end where they do (mainly because I don't know what's going to happen next so st pst put a TBC and start fresh with a new chappie). As for the discovery of the Valar in their midsts... we shall see what happens...
Sheeijan (again *grins*) - I know - honestly what was Manwe thinking, not assigning a sitter for Lorien *giggles over it all and goes back to writing*
Thank you all so much for the feedback, I'm so happy/excited that you are enjoying the story *hugs to all*
