After many weeks..........

On their way to the kitchens, Vel and Ron paused mid step, closed their
eyes, then slowly opened them......

"Tis getting easier for me to push them away, what of you Ron"

"Aye, tis easier...I only wish Daeradar would explain what they are
doing"

"Agreed, perhaps we could ask Adar"

"I want a snack before we go back to our chamber"

"Alright Ron"

Arriving in the kitchen, Crabanwen quickly leapt in front of the
dessert table "Nay, you will ruin your appetite, there is fruit over
there" then pointed to another table.

Vel and Ron walked forward, gave her a serious look, then arched their
brows ""But we want desert""

The young elleth tried as hard as she could not to burst into laughter.
Instead, she just crossed her arms "Oh I see, you mean to use your
Brows to frighten me"

Both releasing a sigh, Vel turned to his brother "That is the seventh
time we have tried with no success. Perhaps it will work better when we
are older"

Arriving at their chamber, Vel and Ron stopped dead in their tracks
when they noticed their parents standing side by side waiting for them
""We didn't do it!""

Rumil tilted his head "You did not do...what"

Vel: "Whatever it is that...uh...we have been good"

Ron: "Aye, what Vel said"

Elladan smirked, then crossed his arms over his chest "We have been
getting reports that the two of you have been walking around arching
your brows at others. That you have been trying to gain entry to places
you are to young to be, trying to use your Brows as influence...trying
to frighten others to give you what you want...is this true?"

Vel and Ron slowly reached for each others hands, then lowered their
heads ""Aye Adar""

Rumil sighed, then pointed to their room "Go and get ready for bed.
Your Adar and I have much to discuss"

As they sat by the fire, Elladan shook his head "And you want more"

"Someday I would. When they are grown more. Though I think I will have
to demand that your Adar lock up his ring first"

Three months had passed.............

Vel and Ron jolted awake from their reverie, then scrambled to their
parents bed and hopped on ""Ada! Adar!""

Elladan groaned and rolled over "What"

"We see something!"

"You should get Daeradar!"

"Tis uncle Mel!"

"Get Daeradar!"

Elladan leapt from the bed, knocking Ron onto the floor in the process
"Ru! Get up!"

After dropping the twins off at the nanny's chamber next door, Elladan
and Rumil made their way to Elrond and Thranduils chamber and burst in
"Adar! Vel and Ron say Mel is ready!"

Elrond sat up, rubbed the sleep from his eyes, then tilted his head
"Aye, they are right!"

When they arrived at Melpomaen and Haldirs chamber, they found the
March warden standing by the door with his arms crossed as he shook his
head. Finally looking over to Rumil, he tilted his head "Remember how
you kept screaming for Elladan to kill you?"

Rumil slowly approached his brother with concern, Haldir was way to
calm "Aye Hal, I remember"

Haldir looked back into the room and sighed "Well, he is not begging to
be killed...he is threatening to poison me, kill me in my sleep, and
set me on fire...and by his words, I have now humped just about every
creature that roams Arda"

Rumil tried not to smile as he squeezed his brothers shoulder "You know
he does not mean those things"

"I know. Ru, would you go and get Phin...and Lirmaen?"

"Aye Hal and I will get everyone else"

Haldir slowly turned to follow Elrond into the chamber, then glanced at
Thranduil "Tis a good thing prince Legolas and Gildor are in Mirkwood,
I am not the only target of his verbal bashing...I should warn you, I
have discovered that Mel is quite jealous of Legolas's hair and has
threatened to sheer it off and make a wig"

Thranduil snorted "Tul Haldir, let us enter. Just keep reminding
yourself that it will be over soon"

Elrond took a deep breath as he walked next to the bed "Melpomaen?"

Mel narrowed his eyes "Get that ring away from my elfling"

Elrond smiled as he began to prepare "You are not having twins Mel,
there is no need for me to use it...relax now"

Mel looked over at Haldir, then stated in an eerily calm voice "You
will pay for this you dwarf licking leaf...mmmph..."

Elrond looked over at Thranduil as he clamped his hand over Mels mouth
"Thran, I have a mission for you during all this"

Thranduil nodded and stepped forward "Aye Elrond what would you like
for me to do"

Removing his hand from Mels mouth..."And you can forget about ever
having sex with me again do you know how much pain I am in right now
you tree molesting  flet whack...Mmmph..." then replaced it and
shook his head "Thran, I need for you to find a gag, I can not
concentrate with him like this"

Lirmaen slowly entered the room and sighed as he looked at Haldir "At
least he will stop once he has the elfling"

Haldir looked over with hopeful eyes "Are you sure of this?"

"Aye as soon as the elfling is out Ada will be back to normal I can not
explain why he gets this way but according to my Adar he was like this
when he was carrying me and then again with the other that he lost"

Haldir sighed "Hannon le...tis reassuring to know that"

Glorfindel, Erestor, Elladan, Elrohir, Cirdan, Orophin, Lindir, Miradel
and Huradel quickly stood as the door to the receiving room opened.
Rumil slowly walked out and closed the door behind him "The birth was a
success"

Orophin grabbed and hugged his little brother, then slowly pulled back
"What is wrong"

Rumil moved further away from the door and whispered "After the birth,
Thranduil took the elfling to clean it...I quickly left so not to be in
the room when she is handed to Hal"

Orophins eyes widened "He...he had a elleth?"

Rumil nodded "Aye"

Haldir gave his love a kiss "I am so very proud of you Mel...I love you"

"I love you to Haly saes forgive my words I do not know what comes over
me when I...mmmph!"

Silencing him with a kiss, Haldir then shook his head "There is nothing
to forgive my sweet"

Thranduil slowly walked over and handed Haldir the little wrapped
elfling "Congratulations Haldir"

Taking the elfling with care, Haldir smiled proudly "Hannon le" then
lifted the cloth to reveal its face "Dark hair and blue eyes...oh
Mel...he is beautiful"

"She"

"Hmm?"

"She is beautiful"

Haldir looked over and furrowed his brow "What? Mel you are not making
any sense"

Melpomaen sighed and shook his head "We had an elleth Haldir"

Confused look remaining, Haldir looked down at his elfling "Nay...tis a
ellon"

Elrond rolled his eyes, strolled over, then opened the cloth completely
and pointed to the lower half of the elfling "Elleth"

Mel looked on with concern as Haldirs eyes widened fearfully "H...Haly?"

Walking as though he was barefoot on glass, Haldir tried to hand the
elfling to Mel "I...I know nothing of Ellith...ta...take her...saes,
take her before I hurt her!"

Melpomaen looked over to Elrond for help and Elrond walked back over
"Haldir calm down" then placed his hands behind his back as Haldir
tried to hand the elfling to him "I...I...I know nothing of how to care
for ellith...I know ellyn"

Thranduil crossed his arms "You will learn. Now calm yourself, you are
frightening Mel"

Haldir looked back over to his love and noticed tears in Mels eyes.
Looking down, Mel whispered "Do you not want her?"

"Nay! I mean aye I do but...aye Mel I want her, of course I want
her...but..."

Mel looked up and took a deep breath "But what Haly"

"Well, she...she is a she...she is..."

Haldir looked back down as the elfling squirmed...then hiccuped.

At that very moment, Haldir pulled her closer and smiled as he lost his
heart "She is my...my daughter"
