Chapter Five
//Elladan waved a hand over his nose to get rid of the tickle that seemed to be plaguing him in his sleep. It had roused him and he was most aggravated as he tried to get lost in sleep once more. Just as he was about to drift off, he was tickled again, but this time it was accompanied by soft snickers. Instead of waving his hand at the tickle he grabbed the wrist holding the feather and pulled the owner of the wrist down in the bed and straddled them.
“I thought it might be you,” he said, holding his prisoner by the wrists above his head. “Do you have something against me sleeping, ernilen?”
Legolas gave him a bright smile and shook his head. “No, not usually, but this is my last day here and I did not want you to sleep it away. There are things to be done, pranks to be pulled and Elrohir to be teased.”
“What has he done now? Has some angry father come to speak to mine about his daughter’s lost virtue at my brother’s hands,” he asked, smirking.
“No, nothing like that, but isn’t there always something to tease him about,” the prince asked, his eyes sparkling with mirth. “Do you think you could get off me now? You are heavier than you look.”
Elladan slid off Legolas and settled next to him in the bed, facing him. “You are right, my twin gives us many reasons to tease him relentlessly. What else would you like to do today?”
“I don’t know, I will think of something while you dress,” he said, trying to push his friend out of the bed. “Get up, it is time for the breakfast bells!”
“You woke me before the breakfast bells,” the elf warrior asked incredulously. He was never up before the breakfast bells, they rang at 7:00. “You will definitely pay for this wood elf!”
They began wrestling on the bed and, before long, fell in the floor in a heap, laughing. Something changed, though, as they looked in one another’s eyes. The laughing stopped and Elladan leaned down to place a soft kiss against Legolas’ lips. He would remember its charm, the softness of the prince’s lips and his shock that it was returned.
The twin was unsure whether he or Legolas closed the distance, but their next kiss was more heated and he tasted the sweetness of his friends mouth. Minutes passed and his room was filled with gasps and moans as they explored each other’s bodies. Their straining erections were ground between them and he…//
Elladan woke with a growl and let out a string of curses as he felt the wetness spread in his sleeping pants. He tossed his sheet off and staggered to the bathing chamber to clean himself. “You torment me still,” he said, fingering the necklace around his neck. He had put it on after waking on the day Thranduil had given it to him and hadn’t slept well since. Memories of Legolas assaulted him even more than before, but he would die before he would take it off.
He fell into the chair by his bed with a loud sigh and thought about the dream. He remembered the morning and cursed Elrohir as he had done on that day, as well.
//Their straining erections were ground between them and he thought he would spend any moment.
“Elladan,” Elrohir called as he entered the room without knocking. “Elladan?” His twin wasn’t in his bed, but that didn’t stop the younger twin from coming on into the room.
Elladan growled and pulled away from Legolas, placing a finger over his mouth, silently telling him to be quiet. Valar, he looked so good, flushed with desire and for him, no one else. “What do you want, Elrohir,” he said, looking over the top of the bed and not even trying to hide his annoyance.
“I was…what are you doing in the floor? Did you fall out of bed,” he asked, chuckling.
“Actually, I did,” telling the truth, but running out of patience. “What is it you want?”
“Do you have a fever? You look flushed and you are breathing heavily,” the younger twin asked concerned.
“I am fine Elrohir,” he said, fighting the urge to kill his twin. “What do you want, will you just tell me and leave me in peace?”
“I was looking for Legolas, it is his last day here and I thought we should do something special. Have you seen him?”
“I am sure he is close by,” again being honest. “Did you check the gardens?”
Elrohir rolled his eyes. “Of course I did, I have looked everywhere and I can’t find him.”
“Check again, you probably just missed him,” Elladan said, ready to choke his brother if he didn’t leave and soon.
“I will, maybe you should try to get in a better mood, brother,” he said, turning to go. “You are so grumpy in the mornings.”
With his brother gone, he turned back to Legolas, but he could tell the mood was ruined. “I am sorry, Legolas…I tried to get him to leave sooner.”
“Let me up, Elladan,” he said softly, blushing. “Maybe it was good that he interrupted us, I don’t know what came over me.”
He moved off of him but grabbed the prince’s hand as he started to rise. “Please don’t hold this against me.”
“It was both of us and do not worry,” he said, rearranging his clothes. “I will find Elrohir and we will meet you at the stables.”
He nodded and watched Legolas leave his chambers.//
The Mirkwood prince had been true to his word, he treated Elladan the same as he had always done and the prince left the next day, with promises to return, on his way to Mirkwood and his home.
Elladan rubbed his eyes and moved back to his bed. He didn’t know it was the last time he would ever see Legolas. If he had, he would have held him here, away from his home, but out of danger. The sun was rising by the time he finally went back to sleep, his hand clasped tightly around the pendant of the necklace.
