Chapter 5.

Enelya felt as if it had been years since she had any time to herself. If it had not been her mother asking her to help with something then it was her own duties that kept her occupied. She longed for some peace and quiet, perhaps a refreshing swim. Knowing she would get neither one this day only served to darken her mood.
What had really was bothering Enelya was the messenger that had brought news to her mother from Lorien. It appears that her cousins were planning a visit to Imladris in the near future. Enleya cherished her cousins dearly, The few times she had been to Lorien they had spent a great deal of time together.
Knowing she should be happy to once again see them yet she worried to see them as well. Perhaps more so with Haldir then the rest.
Haldir had taken on the role of her protector, this is what had her worried. She could not help but wonder how he would react to how she spent her time with both Elrohir and Elladan.
"Lovely Enelya." Her worries some what forgotten at the sound of a familiar voice " What has you so troubled?"
" Can you not guess?" She sighed as she turned away,Elladan stopped her. She almost laughed when she saw Elrohir not far behind his twin. It was rare you would see one and not see the other close by.
" The gift of reading ones mind is that of Lady Galadriel, my grandmother not mine." Elladan replied. She felt the guilt when she saw the concerned look in his eyes.
" I am sorry Elladan I did not intend to worry you." She smiled up at him. " I was only thinking of some things."
" Did your mother tell you who was planning a visit?" Elrohir asked. Elladan was the one who saw how Enelya suddenly tensed at his brothers question
" This bothers you?"Elladan places has hands gently on her hips
" No" She tried to sound convincing and failed " Yes"
" Why is that?" Elrohir now stood behind her and placed a soft kiss on her shoulder
" I guess it is just the fact that I have not seen then in so long." She did not know why she held back the real reason, perhaps she wished that if she just ignored her worry then it would go away.
Elladan sensed there was more to it then just that but would not push it further. He felt that Enelya would tell him when she was ready to.
"If we do not hurry Elladan we will be late."Elrohir said after a few minutes
"Aye you are right." Elladan sighed with obvious disappointment. Placing a soft kiss to her forehead he headed in the same direction as Elrohir.
Enelya gave a startled laugh when he appeared again before her. She placed her hands on his chest once his arms were around her waist.
"Do not wander far" Elladan smiled " I will be searching for you later"
He was gone before Enelya could reply. She could not help but smile as she continued her duties.

It was many days gone since they had been told of Haldir and his brother's visit. Enelya soon forgot about any worries she may have had since that day. She had been kept busy helping her mother and spending time with the twins.
It amused her now how easily she considered them her twins. At first she had been worried what others would think but no one seemed to mind. Lord Elrond himself seemed also to agree, although he never said anything to her about it but he seemed a little more friendly towards her, Greeting her openly instead of a slight nod of his head as she walked by.
Enelya soon found herself some free time. She would of preferred a little more but even the few minutes she could spare herself was welcomed. Sitting herself under the shade of a tree she noticed she could see the practice range. It was not surprising to find a group of young elves watching as Glorfindel released an arrow hitting the target dead center. She could not blame the young ones as they admired the legendary balrog slayer. She also had admired him.. in many ways she still did.
She laughed softly as she again thought of how she on occasion had fantasized of the Elf Lord. This of course was long before her time with the twins. Since spending time with them she felt no need for other fantasies. Elrohir and Elladan have both managed to keep her occupied. As of later she seems to have spent more tiith ith Elladan then with his twin. Although Elrohir did not seem bothered by this she wondered if there was reason behind this.
"Must you always day dream?" Enelya turned and saw her mother watching her
"I was merely enjoying a few minutes rest."
" By staring openly at Glorfindel?"
Enelya laughed despite the sudden blush she felt in her cheeks. She had been lost in her thoughts of the twins she had not realized she had been still watching Glorfindel.
" Enough of this," Her mother gave a quick wave of her hand. Enleya was sure she saw her mother quickly look over towards the Elf lord. " Come we must prepare for our guests."
"Guests?"
'Really child where is your head lately"He mother gave her a look " Were you not there when we learned of your cousins..."
"They are here? " Enelya stopped and turned back towards the practice range. It had never accured to her till now that Glorfindel and been gone for some time, Elladan had told her he left to visit some friends....in Lorien.
" I swear child had you head not been attached..."He mother continued to speak even after Enelya had tuned her out. How could she have forgotten? Had she wanted to forget?.
"Do not be long..."He mothers voice again sounding in her ears. She wondered what her mother had meant. It was not until she saw Elladan did she realize that he had requested to talk with her.
" You seem troubled again."He tucked her hair behind her ear. " will you not tell me?"
" I promise it is nothing." She noticed the lock of conviction in her own voice " Just in need of some rest."
" I know it is more then that." He kissed her forehead " I can only hope that you soon tell me."
Enelya wanted nothing more then to tell him, have him tell her that there was nothing to worry about. Yet she still held back.
"When you are ready." Elladan had seen her hesitation. He believed it to do something with her cousins, perhaps Haldir himself.
" I must go"Enelya sighed yet made no move to leave.
"Aye you should, it would do no good to be late." Elladan chuckled as he took a step towards her.
" I agree." Her reply soft yet still she did not move. She could not hold back a smile as he pulled her into his arms. Her eyes met with his briefly as he capd hed her mouth with his. A brief wonder as to why he had such an effect on her entered her mind just as she parted her lips for him, giving his tongue full access to her mouth.

Neither Elladan or Enelya realized how much time had passed, both lost in each other as their kisses deepened passionately. Enelya tilted her head to the side when Elladan moved his kiss to her neck. It was only the sound of someone clearing their throat did they stop.
"Haldir!" Elladan felt Enelya tense instantly. Her eyes widened with..fear?
"Mae Govannen Elladan" (Well Met) "Nae saian luume'." (It has been too long)
" Indeed it has my friend" Elladan replied. His eyes again falling towards Enelya who still had not moved.
" I see you still have a way with the fair maidens of Imladris" Haldir chuckled softly.
Enelya could not even look at Elladan. Her eyes closed in hopes that she could just disappear. She had not heard Elladan's reply nor was she sure there had been one.
" Does she have a name Elladan or shall she remain a mystery?"
"She is a mystery indeed My friend" Elladan chuckled " Yet I do believe you do already know her"
Haldir was slightly confused yet hid it well. It was a trait he learned long ago.
Enelya knew she had no choice now, turning to face him proved to be harder then she had first thought.
"Enelya!" Haldir eyebrow raised slightly. This was not who had expected yet the hair color should have been some sort of clue. Enelya had her fathers hair and he had been a Lorien elf.
" I will leave you both to catch up" Elladan broke the silence. " I shall see you both later"
Enelya turned to face Elladan. She fought the urge to beg him to stay. Instead she accepted s soft kiss
" Tenna' telwan san'." (until later then) Haldir gave a slight nod in Elladan's direction
" Tenna' san'." (Until then) Elladan agreed. Giving Enelya one last kiss before leaving them both alone.
Enelya looked back to Haldir and waited. She opened her moth to say something only to change her mind.
"Come" Haldir finally spoke " Your mother is waiting" He turned and walked away without saying anything else. Enelya knew by the look he had given her that she had not heard the last of this.
" I was beginning to wonder if you would at all make it back" Her mother gave her a look " Perhaps you spend too much time with the twin sons of Elrond"
Haldir stopped and looked over at Enelya. He remained silent yet his look spoke volumes to her. Not wishing to be lectured she quickly stepped inside.
" Where are your brothers?" She heard her mother asking
" They shall be here soon"
"we are here now" Enelya smiled as she instantly recognized the voice to be that of Rumil. " I have brought a long time friend.. I hope you do not mind?"
"Nay it is fine" He mothers suddenly cheery voice should of alerted her. " Come lets step inside"
Enelya had just finished pouring some drinks when they all walked in.
" ahh if it is not my favorite cousin" Rumil smiled as he hugged her. She could always count on him to make her feel better.
"Oio naa elealla alasse'." ( ever is thy sight a joy) She replied, wondering who his long time friend was. Haldir stood in front of who ever it was blocking her view.
" Enelya you remember..."
Enelya suddenly dropped the drink she had been holding. She had thought Haldir visiting would cause problems for her and the twins. This was much worse... Now standing but a few feet from her was the one who she once held deep feelings for, who she had willingly given herself to, the one who had in turn broken her heart...Legolas!!
