Chapter 44
*Four Months to a Wedding*
"Dammit." I scribbled out my writing and tried again. Sighing I looked around me and saw the crumpled balls of paper that littered the table. I picked up the pad of paper, now completely empty, and went looking for a fresh one. The cycle began again. Dom walked into the kitchen for food and saw the paper balls around.
"What are you doing?" He laughed. He grabbed one off the floor and opened it up. "Mrs. Elijah Wood? Are you practicing your signature?"
I grabbed the paper and threw it away. "I'm trying to decide how to write it." I motioned for him to come and sit. "Should I do it this way...?” I demonstrated. "Or this way and make the 'E' curve a bit more?"
"I think you're nuts." Dom said laughing.
After a few hours of us doodling on the pad of paper Elijah came home. Together we then sat down to make out the guest list and who we wanted to be in the wedding with us. After a few hours we decided on a rough draft.
Groomsmen: Dominic Monaghan, Sean Astin, Orlando Bloom, Jack Osbourne
Best Man: Billy Boyd
Bridesmaids: Heather Bucurel, Kelly Osbourne, Audrey Nitz, Emma Nitz
Maids of Honor: Emily Lewis and Hannah Wood
Ring bearer: Garrett Nitz (to be pulled in a wagon by Kelly)
It was hard for us to decide who to ask to be the Best Man. It was a clear draw Dom and Billy, and we had to use the crude method of a coin toss. That decided, we chose to have both of our sisters as Maids of Honor, to be escorted by Billy...a girl on each arm. My baby cousin will serve as the ring bearer, and we decided to pair him with Kelly. Then as far as the others paired up...Dom with Heather, Sean with Audrey, Jack with Emma, and Orlando walking with Kelly and Garrett.
"I think that's about it." Elijah said over his coffee mug.
"Except for one thing hon." I said. At his confused look I continued, "Where are we having it?"
"Oh, I thought I had already asked you about that." At my nod no, "Well...I wanted to have it where I first realized that I loved you."
I blushed. "So where is this then?"
"At your grandmothers’ house. I've talked to them already, your grandfather built a small gazebo under the tree we climbed, the one next to the hill."
I couldn't help but gape at him. "When did you do all this?"
"When I called him and your father to ask their permission." He smiled smugly.
