The old ways 43

"Come my dear elf. I have grown tired and would like to rest my bones. Will you join me and we'll go back to the campsite?"

"Would you mind staying here with me? The fire is warm and you are all the protection I need."

"You feel better here?" Gimli asked.

"Yes,"

"Let me go and fetch some blankets and bedrolls then. I will tell the others that we are here and that they should call on us in the morning." The dwarf stood and moved downhill to the campsite to fetch all they needed for the night.

When he returned, Legolas had not moved at all, but was still sitting there staring into the fire and the dwarf could make out fresh moist trails in the pale face. He said nothing and instead laid out their bedding and when he had finished he snuggled up close to the fire and closed his eyes. After some time he heard the faint rustle of cloth and blankets and sighed knowing that the elf had at last decided to lay down.

Legolas felt cold for the first time in his life and wished there was something he could do to get warmer. He tried desperately to get his mind off Haldir, but peace wouldn't come to his troubled soul. He even tried closing his eyes, but that was even worse, for now he could clearly see Haldir's face before his inner eyes. After a while he concentrated on Gimli's snores and to his utter surprise that did the magic trick. Slowly sleep crept up on him and without noticing he slipped into the elven dreamscape.

Elrond stared intently at the pair opposite of him. Haldir looked taken aback and the look on the younger elf's face was near to shock. "He has to do what?"

"Haldir will have to check if your body is responding to your sexual release as it should do. If we cannot be certain that everything is in order, we will not know if you will get pregnant at all in the future."

"But surely there are other ways, other than that what you just suggested. How do you know it will fit in there anyway, this is outrageous. I can't believe it." Legolas fumed and his face had taken a had dark shade of red.

"Legolas, believe me. First of all it does fit, second there is not other way and maybe you will even enjoy it a little. Haldir will have to bring you to an orgasm anyway and as far as I know that is an enjoyable thing."

"Melme," Haldir turned to Legolas and put a gentle hand on his thigh "we will only do what you want. Nobody is pushing you, but if we need to do it to be certain, then maybe we can at least try. I will not hurt you, never. You know that."

Elrond rose from his seat and looked at the pair. "Maybe you should retire for today, and if any questions should arise, don't hesitate to call me." With that he exited their talan and made his way down the long winding stairs.

Haldir and Legolas sat in silence and stared at the walls surrounding them.

The next days after their discussion with Elrond, Legolas feared his next sexual encounter with Haldir. Elrond's instruction was burned in his mind and it was impossible for him to relax. Many days later, in which Haldir had not made a single attempt to make love to Legolas or at least touch him, Legolas was becoming frustrated and he made up his mind to talk to Haldir the next day.

He was lying in their bed, Haldir at his side curled up around him and obviously in deep slumber. The young elf groaned in frustration and tried to take his mind off his burning sexual desires. He had grown hard, for no apparent reason, some time ago and Haldir possessive legs, that were tangled with his own, gave him no space to move nor the chance to touch himself. With small humping movements, Legolas tried to achieve some friction, that might give him release. But it only made matters worse. He still didn't want Haldir to follow Elrond's orders, but maybe his husband was willing to share a simple night of passion with him.
