"Semar where are you hiding?" Huor called for his lover and he opened the doo his his room, hoping he would find Semar there. Semar opened the door of the bathing room, holding a towel around his waist, raising his eyebrows at the other elf.

"I am here Huor. You't h't have to be that loud." Semar said coldly and he reached for his leggings, packing some other clothes in his bag, while he searched for the clean tunic he could wear.

"Why are those things packed. Where are you going?" Huor asked as he approached his lover.

"I found out today that my room is free and I am going back to it. I don't want to be a burden. I know you would rather share it with some other elf tonight. I saw how you were eyeing those guards from Lorien yesterday." Semar said, almost quietly while he tried to cover the jealousy from his voice.

"You are not going anywhere, Semar. I do not want you to leave. And that is not true. I lost my appetite for the other elves since I slept with you. Don't leave."

Huor said softly pulling his lover toward him and kissing him passionately.

"Huor you cannot change. It's in your blood and you have this, this craving to be with others. I know you and you will not stand being with me for a long time. It is better to stop this now before you break my heart." Semar whispered bitterly and he pushed Huor away, moving into a bathroom to change himself.

"Give me a chance, Semar. I know I can change. Let's have a little wager, you and me."

Semar looked at him questioningly.

"What kind of wager?"

"If I make it three months without taking any other lover to my bed and if I keep courting you at that time, without no attempt to have sexual relations with you, will you come and live with me then. I know I don't need anyone in my bed except you and I know that I can, and I will change for you." Huor came closer to Semar and he gazed upon his eyes, hoping the other one would accept his proposition.

"And how will I know you are being sincere. I cannot observe you all the time to make sure you are sticking to our wager." Semar said and he reverted his eyes, picking up his bags from the floor.

"You will know that I am being sincere. The people will talk about my sudden change and my unusual celibacy. So do we have a deal." Huor asked him while depositing one more kiss upon the Semar's cheek.

"I guess you are right. I will know. Aye we have a deal." Semar smiled fondly at the other one and he wondered why did Huor wanted to change for him. Why was he doing this, he asked himself and he wondered if he should question the other one about it?

"Do you need a help with moving these things to your room." Hour asked softly, while he stroked Semar's hair. Semar blushed and he responded with the wavering voice.

"No thank you. I'll be fine."
He picked up his bag and he smiled at Huor, moving very slowly tos ths the door as the other's voice stopped him.

"If you have nothing to do tonight maybe we can have a little dinner. I can persuade the cook to make something special for us.

Semar blushed again and he nodded, before he reached for a door knob.

"Aye that will be fine. See you tonight then." He said and he closed the door behind him, his heart bursting from the unknown happiness he felt for a first time in his life.

On the other side of the river shore Haldir and Stinah also discovered a meaning of a word friend. They were walking beside each other and they talked very softly, occasionally laughing at what another one said.

They realized they had a lots catching up to do and to start from the beginning was the best way to discover themselves once again.

Stinah was amazed at how much his ex-lover had changed. He didn't seem so arrogant as he was when they were together and it was much easier to get along with him now. He himself was not the same weakling Haldir used to know and he was more cheerful nowadays, taking a life once step at the time.

Haldir respected Stinah's decision to be just his friend for now and he knew tthisthis was the best way to go. There was a lot of hurt in the past and starting fresh would erase everything he had done wrongly so many years ago. He knew that Stinah had suffered because of his mistakes, and he swore to himself if the other one would give him a chance to be his lover again, that he would never do it again.

He still loved Stinah and would do anything the other asked of him, just to be by his side

"I saw your brothers today Haldir. They didn't change much. They are still the same Marchwarden's I knew back in Lorien. Still trouble makers, huh." Haldir was pulled back from his musings and he responded to Stinah's words.

"Yes, they are, but lately they don't give me much trouble. Finally, they seem to have grown up." Haldir chuckled and he looked upon the other one, gazing at his eyes.

"I have missed you Stinah. A lot. I was a fool back then and I wish I haven't done what I had done in the past" Haldir stopped walking as he said that, sounding sincere in his confession.

Stinah smiled softly at Haldir and he shrugged.

"Past is past Haldir. I have forgiven you for hurting me, and although many times I have tried to deny it; the fact remained that I have missed you too. Very much." Stinah reverted his eyes and he smiled again.

"But we shouldn't talk about the past right now. Let's look forward to future and see where it will bring us. "

Haldir nodded in agreement and he started walking again, wondering if there was any chance for them to rekindle what they had lost so many years ago.

"Stop fidgeting,Minan. He'll be here in a moment and you are loosing your nerves." Elrohir laughed at Minan and he looked at the other one curiously. Minan seemed nervous as a young maiden waiting for her lover to arrive and he patted his shoulder gently, giving him some comfort. They were in courtyard waiting for Thranduil's party to arrive and on the left side of him stood his father and his future step father, quietly brooding in their dark moods.

He wondered why was his father so quiet this morning and he decided to ask him about it after this meeting.

In the distance they could hear a horse footsteps, riding with the fast speed.
Elrohir's eyes traveled a little further and he smiled when he saw his brother escorting the party. His brother was finally coming home and he felt like the big weight was lifted of his shoulders.

Elrond's attention was moved toward the Elrohir and he saw that his son's face became lit at the sight of his brother. He still wasn't sure if he should let this be, or if he should talk to his youngest son, telling him that this kind of love was wrong. But he knew that he couldn't do it. Elrohir loved Elladan too much and no matter what he said, nothing could stop this.

The party met their hosts and they exchanged a pleasantries between them, neither side willing to offer a heartfelt conversation right now. Elrohir didn't notice anything around him anymore as he reached for his brother, pulling him toward the bushes, intending to have a little talk with him.

"Elladan where were you all this time. Why didn't you come home last night?"
Elrohir's voice sounded concerned and he stroked his brothers cheek softly, knowing well enough that Elladan would push him away. And so he did.

"I do not need to explain my actions to you, brother. Didn't I tell you to leave me alone? Why do you always have to bother me?" Elladan removed the others hand from his face and he began walking toward the house.

"I bother you. I bother you." Elrohir yelled. "Well, excuse me but you are my brother and it's my job to worry about you. Why are you pushing me away, Elladan? What did I do to deserve this?" Elrohir pulled his twin by the shoulder; making him face him.

"I don't want to talk about it Elrohir. Why don't you leave this be? When I am ready I will talk about it, but not today. I need some time to think." Elladan yelled at his brother and he began walking again. Elrohir sighed and he crossed his arms over his chest, wondering what to do about this. His brother was not willing to talk about his feelings and he knew he had to pressure him to do it. But not tonight. He would let him rest but tomorrow he would find out why his brother was acting this way.
