Black Robes

Ch4

Dismounting her master’s horse, Jenda handed the pheasant to the waiting elleth. “All of the already cleaned ones had been bought. Do you want me to help you pluck it?”

The cook’s assistant shook her head, and then frowned. “Where is the young lord?”

Jenda lowered her head some and sighed. “Master Glorfindel sent me back with the bird…He is walking back.”

The cook blinked, then shook her head in shock. “Walking?!”

“Aye, the other young lords were dragging him along to the Pet market. He knew we needed the bird for his Adar, so he sent me back.”

The assistant giggled as she smirked. “Somehow Jenda, I can not see anyone “dragging” our young lord anywhere!”

“Agreed!” Jenda replied, then sighed “You'd best get working on that bird now or evening meal will be late.”

After the young assistant ran out of the stables, Jenda stilled when she heard someone clear their throat…

“Well well, you have had an exciting morning now haven’t you? And you say my ion is walking back?”

Jenda spun and dropped to her knees, her forehead pressed to the dirt floor. “My Lord.”

Glorfindel’s father smirked, and then waved his hand. The entire stable was suddenly void of any workers.

“Get up. Pet.”

As Jenda stood, Lord Delereth pulled her close. “You look lovely today,” and then cupped his hand over her breast. “Tis a shame that my ion does not use you as he should. Had I known his preference ran to other ellon when I purchased you for him, I would have kept you for myself. So lovely…has he at least had you once?” he asked with a wicked smirk.

Jenda bit her lower lip to keep her tongue in check, and then released a relived sigh when she heard a low rumbling growl.

“Adar, release my Pet.” It was not a request.

Her gaze to the ground, Jenda lightly smirked when the offending hand practically leaped from her chest. “Ion, you have returned.”

Lanthir remained silent as Glorfindel set him down on a bench, then thought. ‘So this is my Masters Adar. Ayah, he looks frightened of…he…he ceases his actions because of my new Master?’

Glorfindel crossed his arms over his chest, “Tul Jenda.”

As she drew close, Glorfindel reached out and touched her jaw. “You are alright?”

“Aye my lord, I am fine.” She then glanced over. “I see you have purchased a new Pet?”

“Aye, his name is Lanthir. Take him inside, tend to him and put him in my bedchamber. The bottoms of his feet are cut, so take him slowly.”

Lanthir watched there interaction closely, then swallowed nervously as he thought. ‘Oh…oh she is a well established Pet. She…She has been here for a while’

Jenda smiled kindly at him. “Tul Lanthir, let us get you cleaned up.”

Once they were gone from the stables, Glorfindel walked over to his father. “I do not understand why you insist on harassing my Pets, Adar. I do not bother yours.”

“I was not harassing your Pet.”

“Adar, you waved away the stable help. You then made yourself alone with my Pet, and you had your hand upon her body. How is that not harassing my Pet?”

Lord Delereth looked into his son's blue eyes, then pulled him into a hug. “I do love you ion. Someday, I am going to find out why you are so distant. You never were when you were an elfling.”

Glorfindel blinked at the sudden subject change and stood stiffly in his father’s arms. He then slowly put his face in the crook of his father’s neck and whispered, “I love you to Adar, but leave my Pets alone.”

~*~*~

Jenda slowly led Lanthir through the house and to the bathing chamber.

When he entered, Lanthir looked around with wide eyes, “This…” he then shut his mouth quickly.

Jenda began the water, then turned. “'This', what? Lanthir, you are allowed to speak. We are both Pets after all.”

Lanthir nodded. “It is just such a…large and beautiful chamber.”

Jenda looked around and smiled. “Aye, it is. Tis our Masters private bathing chamber.”

Lanthir blinked in shock. “This is Master's Chamber? I can not bathe here! Wh…where are the pet baths! Saes, do not get me in trouble! I have only just arrived!”

Jenda sighed as she pulled him forward. “Relax Lanthir, you are not going to get in trouble. Now remove your clothing and get into the…”

Lanthir quickly dropped to his knees. “Saes I, I had heard during my initial training that sometimes Pets that are well established feel…feel threatened by new…new arrivals and…”

Jenda gasped and she pulled him to standing. “Get off the floor! Do not ever kneel to me! We are both Pets Lanthir, it is bad enough that we were slotted for such a life. We should not have to supplicate to one another as well!”

She took a deep breath and let it out slowly. “Listen to me Lanthir, I know you have heard the stories about how some Pets will trip up others in the household to make themselves the top Pet, and how some masters beat their pets and starved them and…and let their friends and guests have at them. You have no idea how lucky you are that Lord Glorfindel purchased you.”

Jenda looked around to make sure no one was near the chamber. “I have been master Glorfindel’s Pet for twenty-two years now and he has only used a crop on me once and spanked me a few times. He is a fair and kind Master. You should hear the screams from the House of the Fountain next door. They openly whip their Pets in the back yard!”

Lanthir wrung his hands and whispered. “But he is so…chilling. All the way here he was stoic, emotionless. It was rather disturbing. I am untouched and he will be the one to…I…I am so frightened. Will he be gentle?”

Jenda blinked “You are…”

Lanthir nodded “My training is not complete. I have yet to receive instructions regarding the art of pleasure and…and master seemed quite pleased about this.”

Jenda suddenly jumped and grabbed her chest as Lanthir spun and dropped to his knees.

Glorfindel leaned against the door frame of the bathing chamber. “Be glad that you did not catch the eye of Lord Salgant before I bought you. The House of the Harp actually has a chamber designated for the disciplining of Pets. The House of the Fountain and its whipping post is nothing in comparison.”

Glorfindel then tilted his head and looked at Jenda. “Now, is there some reason as to why my new Pet is not bathed and placed where he belongs?”
