They had been driving for about half an hour and Billy still hadn’t said a word.
“You’re very quiet, Bills. But I guess you never have been very talkative.”, Ben mocked and laughed. “But, well, I didn’t pick you up to have some small talk with you. It’s serious business that led us to you. The fact is, we need your help.”
Billy had been staring out of the window, watching people and houses passing by, and still was when he finally began to speak: “Ah thought so.” He paused. “What d’ye want?”
“Everyone knows you’re the best when it comes to computers and hacking. We want you to hack into a bank. Not any bank. The bank. You know what I mean?”
Billy nodded. “Ah’ve read about it in the newspaper.”
“Good, so you know that 5 Million Dollars in cash are waiting for us to get them. This will be our greatest and biggest and hugest coup ever!”, Ben answered enthusiastically.
“What makes ye think Ah will…”, Billy began and stopped. He knew they had a lever that would work on Billy.
“I guess from your sudden silence that you saw through our plan, huh?”
“When did ye find him?”, Billy asked.
“About a year ago, or so. We were very surprised that he was still alive. I’ve lost a bet, you know. I thought he really would kill himself, end his lousy and pitiful life.”
Billy’s head turned around and furious eyes glanced at Ben. “Don’t ye talk about him like that!”
“Aww, isn’t that cute? Still feelin’ guilty, aren’t we?” Ben put on a teasing sad face. And it worked. Billy’s eyes became wet and he turned away to look out of the window again.
“Okay, you don’t wanna talk about, fine. I change the subject then. Heard you still miss your sweet-Heart!” Ben and the driver laughed about the joke. “See, even Liam understood that! Everyone takes it easy, except for you. How could we know that you had an affair with him, fag! I can’t believe that was the reason for you to quit the gang.”
“It wasn’t just an affair.”, Billy answered through clenched teeth.
“Ooohh, didn’t mean to insult you, missy.”
Ben grinned. None of them said anything for a while, the car’s little space filled itself with heavy silence.
“Can Ah visit him?”, Billy suddenly asked. “Ah will do anything ye want from meh, just let meh…visit him.”
Ben patted Billy on his shoulder. “I knew you would return to your senses. Liam, to the cemetery!”

Dominic still lay on his bed; eyes numb, hair untidy, motionless. Turned to stone. Ben’s words wouldn’t leave his mind.
“But if you wanna know what your oh so beloved, gay Scotsman really did in his past life, then just stop taking those pills. You will get the answer by yourself.
Stop taking the pills. What the hell? Was he about to trust some stranger that had just kidnapped Billy? And, anyway, he couldn’t do that! He was not allowed to! It was too dangerous. God knew what would happen to him if he didn’t take the pills for more than 24 hours. His doctor had warned him so many times that it would have terrible consequences if he suddenly didn’t take his medicine.
Dom’s head was aching again. His hand reached for the drawer, the first movement for two hours, he opened it and took out three little orange and transparent plastic flasks. He watched them, inspected them. He tried to imagine what his brother looked like. Tears filled his eyes again. He couldn’t remember anything. It seemed that the first 17 years of his life were erased. No memories. But he wanted to have them back. He wanted to remember so badly.
He sat up and threw the three flasks away. They hit the wall and broke apart. White and blue pills spilled themselves over the wooden floor. He knew that those dreams were a part of his life, a forgotten and hidden part he had never wanted to enter. But that was then. He needed his memories back now. He had to know why everyone kept him away from his past, why everyone seemed to know what was going on except for him. And maybe this was the only way to save Billy after all.
He stood up, left the mess he had created behind, grabbed his rucksack, already packed with some clothes, and his jacket and turned his back on his present life. He meant it. This time he would find out, this time he was not afraid of his past. And there was only one person who could help him.

“Hi Heart.”
Billy stood in front of the grave. Ben and Liam stood some meters away, letting him have a bit of privacy, though always keeping an eye on him. But Billy didn’t intend to run away. There was no escape anyway.
“It’s me, Billy.”
He fell silent. He read the inscription.

Billy put on his sunglasses. He was supposed to lie there and not Heart.
“It’s my fault…”, he whispered. “My fault…”
