Part 1: Have you melted a cold heart before?
4.
2 Days later…
On the set…
Peter walked nervously, as he didn’t know where Orlando was, and he knew that the others couldn’t play serious attention to their scenes, because of Orlando.
“Pete?” Elijah came closer over the producer.
“What is it Lij?”
“We have to do something, maybe we need to look in other places…” Elijah suggested but was cut off.
“We looked everywhere, and yet we still can’t find him. Where else can we look? In jail or perhaps in the hospital or would you prefer if we look in the morgue?” Peter asked in despair.
Elijah and the others sighed heavily.
Viggo came closer and said softly, “We have to find him either way. He needs us.”
“If he needed us, then he should let us come closer to him,” Peter said as if attacking Viggo.
“Maybe he just didn’t know where to start, maybe he didn’t know how,” Viggo said softly.
“But until then, we have to work, we have work to do!” Peter raised his voice, and took the unused script from his director’s chair.
“How can we work without Orli? How can you work without Orli?” Viggo asked as he turned to the cast. “I can’t work like this, I feel worried about him not being here, and I’m sure that everyone of you can’t work like this either.”
Peter scanned Viggo’s face, then the others and sighed heavily.
“Then tell me what am I supposed to do? I have a deadline on this film, I have a missing actor, and now I have you, worrying my conscience, so what am I supposed to do?” Peter asked Viggo and the others.
Viggo didn’t mean for it to come to this, but it had.
“I am asking you to give us more time to find where Orli could be, that is all I ask,” Viggo said.
Peter looked at them; then he said, “Dave Wenham, come here!”
“Dave?” Viggo asked Peter.
“Until Orli is found, Dave will replace him,” Peter answered him.
“But why? Why replace Orli?” Viggo asked because he didn’t understand why Peter was doing it.
“The film must go on, and I just can’t stop everything cause of Orli,” Peter answered.
Dave came closer, and saw the look on Viggo’s face; his eyes were filled with agony.
“Dave, go to Orli’s trailer, and change into Legolas’s costume, as we already have lost a lot of precious time,” Peter said to him.
Dave turned to Viggo and the others, as he didn’t know what to do. He too felt worried for Orli, and didn’t want to take his place as Legolas. Dave took a deep breath before he turned to Peter and managed to speak.
“I am not going to take it, Pete. It is Orli’s place, and this is his job as Legolas, and I… I just can’t take his job, I do not want to be the one that takes it from his hands,” Dave said, not knowing what the director would say.
Peter looked as if he were a volcano that lava was coming out of; his face was red, his veins stood out, and he looked like he wanted to blow. Dave thought Peter looked as though something bad was going to happen.
“Dave, I will only say it once. Go to Orli’s trailer and change into Legolas’s costume. NOW!” Peter raised his voice.
Dave looked at Viggo; Viggo looked at Dave, and nodded to him in defeat. Dave walked slowly over to Orli’s trailer and opened the door. He turned around to look at the others before he entered. He didn’t want to do it, he didn’t want to take Orli’s job away from him. He wanted to find Orli, but Peter seemed not to want to.
They saw him enter, but the door was still open. He didn’t seem to wish to close it.
Shortly after, Dave let a scream come out from his mouth. The cast heard it and came over.
“Dave?” Viggo called.
The other man left the trailer; his body seemed too pale to Viggo. The others came closer to Dave, as he seemed as though he were about to faint.
“Dave, what happen to you?” Peter asked, as he now became concerned.
“I… he…” Dave stuttered, and sank to the cold ground.
“What do you wish to say?” Peter asked, and knelt beside him as the others joined him too.
“Look… inside… I…” Dave pointed at the trailer with his hand, and let the tears fall down.
Viggo stood up, walked quickly over to the trailer, and entered it. The others joined Viggo, and felt the blood drain from their heads, as they saw what Dave had seen.
Peter came behind them, and only three words left his mouth, “Oh… my… God…”
