Chapter 4
Orlando was doing well. He'd been in the hospital for two days and
would be released the next morning. It was eleven o'clock and the
door ahd just burst open to reveal Beanie and the hobbits.
"Okay, Viggo, time to go," Elijah stated.
Viggo looked at him in confusion. "What...?"
"You haven't left here since Orlando was brought in. You look
terrible. We realize that we would be hard pressed to get you out of
the hospital, but we are going to get you out of this room."
"But-"
"No buts, Vig," Bean said firmly, pulling him out of his seat and
toward the door. "You're coming with me and the hobbits are staying
with Orlando."
Orlando laughed at the look of indignation on Viggo's face. He
didn't really want Viggo to go, but he had to agree with Elijah. He
looked terrible. "You better go, Vig. You know how stubborn they
can be."
Viggo smiled softly at the sound of Orlando's laugh and was promptly
pushed out the door.
"Finally! He's gone! Now we can have our evil way with you!" Elijah
cackled. Dom smacked him upside the head.
"So how are you, Orli?" Sean asked. "And don't say fine."
Orlando sighed. "I'm better." At the dubious looks on their faces,
he added, "Really. I don't have one foot in the the mental ward if
that's what you want to know."
"Well that's good because we have enough crazy people around," Sean
said, looking at the other three hobbits pointedly.
"Hey!" was the response, and good-natured teasing broke out among
them.

"Viggo, what's wrong?" Sean asked after a few minutes of just sitting
at the cafeteria table. The news of the attack on Orlando had hit
everybody hard, but Sean knew that Viggo's pain was ten times worse,
partly because he had been the one to find him, but mostly because of
his deep love for the younger man.
Viggo sighed. "I'm afraid, Sean," he admitted. "Afraid that the
attacker will come back and I won't be there to protect him like I
wasn't last time."
"What makes you think he'll come back?" Sean asked, confused.
Viggo's hands clenched into fists. "Because the bastard said he
would, and I will not-can not allow him to get Orli again."
Just then, Billy came running up to them. "Vig...Vig...Viggo!" he
panted. "Orli..."
That's all it took to send Viggo running towards Orlando's room, all
the while his stomach twisting into anxious knots. When he arrived,
Orlando was sitting in bed, staring in horror at a note clutched in
his hand. He was shaking horribly and tear were streaming down his
cheeks. Viggo went straight to the bed and enveloped him in his
arms. Looking down at the note, he nearly cried out in anger at the
woods.
//I hope you had fun, Orlando. I know I did. We will definitely get
together some other time. Remember, YOU ARE MIND!//
