Chapter Four
CHAPTER FOUR
It was the night before her marriage before Tamara managed to sneak off alone for a walk, so much had been happening recently that she just had to be alone for a while and think. It was without thnking that she headed towards the wood.
Haldir was restless, he did not know what was wrong but he could not settle this evening. He left his talan and decided to join the patrol as he would get no sleep this night, he may as well work than sit alone brooding.
Tamara came out of her thoughts with a start as she realised that she was standing on the outskirts of the forest. She hesitated for only a split second before heading in to the darkness of the forest. The forest was a different world at night it was dark and gloomy and Tamara could barely make out any sign of a visible path, and so it was that she stumbled on a root and once again before she hit the floor of the forest she felt two strong arms grab her.
“Do you make a habit of falling over, or is it just for my benefit” said Haldir, Tamara looked into Haldirs piercing blue eyes and felt her heart leap, it was then that she admitted to herself that she had always known she would travel to the forest that night.
