first big fight
Legolas was waiting patiently for Haldir to return. He knew he owed him a big thank you and knew exactly how he would give him that.
Haldir came back and sat down next to his beloved.
Legolas smiled warmly at him and said, “Love? Can you come with me for a second, to get the water?”
Haldir smiled and said, “Sure, let’s go then” and got up and reached out his hand for Legolas to take.
Legolas took his hand and the both of them walked back to the river, when they were away from the other guards Legolave Hve Haldir a most passionate kiss.
Haldir was startled but soon recovered and returned the kiss with equal passion.
Legolas then broke the kiss and said, “Thanks for sticking up for me”
Haldir smiled and said, “It was nothing”
Legolas looked at him, looking Haldir straight in the eyes and said, “Haldir? What did you do to him?”
Haldir looked down and didn’t speak.
Legolas looked at Haldir, he could read it in his face and said, “You killed him?! Why?!”
Haldir looked at him and said, “He tried to take you”
Legolas sighed and looked at a tree, trying to hold control over his anger and said, “That’s no reason to kill him, did you gave him an honourable death?”
Again Haldir did not answer. This got Legolas even more angry, he sighed when Haldir moved to wrap his arms around him and said, “Do not come near me, definitely not till we get in Lothlorien.”
Legolas threw the water bottles on the ground, turning around he went back to the guards and said, “We’re moving again” and mounted his horse, followed by the guards.
Haldir looked at the water bottles, picking them up he went to the river and filled them with water. A tear rolled down his cheek as he thought /I don’t understand, what have I done wrong? I only wanted to avenge my beloved, how can that be wrong?/ He took a few deep breaths and wiped away the tears that had now emerged from his eyes.
When he was sure all signs that he had been crying were gone he went back and gave everybody their water bottle and gave Legolas his, since they shared everything. He also decided to take Arminas’ horse instead of going with Legolas again, he didn’t want to cry with others around so it was best if he stayed away from Legolas as long as he was angry.
After a long trip they finally entered the woods of Lothlorien, the city where absolute darkness doesn’t exist, where the trees reach high, almost touching the cloudless sky.
Legolas still refused to talk or even look at Haldir though he knew he had to sooner or later when they were to share a talan*
Haldir felt his world and heart fall apart in a million pieces, slowly but surely. He still didn’t understand why it was wrong that he did it, merely to avenge the one he loved most only to lose the one because he did.
Haldir brought the stuff to his talan and placed them in the hall. He waited till Legolas entered and said, “Use anything you want, you can sleep wherever you like” and then left to get himself another talan, this was unbearable for him.
Legolas sat down in a corner of the master bedroom and pulled his knees up and wrapped his arms around them and started crying. It was very hard for him to act like this, especially to Haldir but he had to show him that he wasn’t tolerating what Haldir had done, how hard it all was. He wished none of it happened, that everything was just back as normal a.

There were no talans left where Haldir could be staying in; so he had no choice but to turn back and see what would happen. He heard cries and immediately recognized them as Legolas’.
He didn’t hesitate a minute and ran up the stairs of the talan and entered, he scanned the room and followed the sounds to where it came from. It was there that he saw Legolas all curled up, rocking himself, crying in the corner of the bedroom.
Haldir wasn’t sure what to do and said, “Legolas?”
