"Ah there you are." Huor's voice was heard and Glorfindel hastened toward the two raven haired figures; his eyes only observing the one who was sitting on the chair.
He saw the lost eyes, and the pale face in front of him and he knew that Erestor was under some kind of the emotional pain; realizing that this situation might be serious.
Glorfindel noticed that Erestor was shivering, and he realized that the same chill was going thh hih his own body, as his fingers touched the other's face. A hot face he had felt beneath his fingers and he knew that Erestor was having some strange fever.
Erestor's eyes were lifeless and he knew that their bond had been weakened, and although all of his wounds were healed during those two weeks, he could feel the pain spreading through his closed scars.
Erestor's shivering had increased and Glorfindel had felt that switch inside of himself, and he knew he had to do something to mend their bond.
"Erestor, what is the matter." Glorfindel asked and he glanced up at Huor, seeing the scared expression on the advisor's face.
"He's been like that for about fifteen minutes. Where were you Glorfindel?"
Huor's accusing voice sounded the room and Glorfindel ignored the other elf as his mind tried to reach his bonded.
But, he only found a closed line between them and he knew that Erestor's condition was becoming very threatening.
"I need to take him to my room. I think he is under a deep distress. Can you tell me what happened to him?"
Glorfindel's hands were shaking as he started massaging Erestor's arms, hoping that action could keep his husband warm.
"Arthon had told him about your *acquaintance* with the Prince of Rohan and since then he was lost to us.
I think he loves you too much that he fears to loose you so soon. Do you think that he might be under some kind of shock. Look at him. He's shaking."
Huor's voice was panicky, but Glorfindel stood up from the floor, and with one move he picked up the shaking figure from the chair.
"Go find Elrond and tell him to come to my room. And pick up a few blankets from the storage room. I think we will need it."
Glorfindel's eyes carried a fear, as the Erestor's body vibrated in his arms, and shivering himself, he made his way to the room.
The elves passing them, kept staring at those two with curiosity in their eyes and whispers were spreading around as Glorfindel's eyes kindly observed an elf in his arms.
He knew that this was his fault, as much as the Arthon's and he knew that by lingering away from his husband, hd cad caused this ordeal.
His room was not so far from the library and bolting the closed door, he took the shaky elf inside.
He knew that this room had belonged to him for all of those centuries he had lived in it, but during these past few days when Erestor had moved in, he had felt that this was a way it was supposed to be.
He had never imagined that sharing a walls with someone could feel so good and instantly he knew that Erestor had meant more to him than he had ever imagined.
But the confusion overtook him when Theodred, his former lover, had showed up in Imladris this morning, and all of that attraction was focused on the young human instead on his bonded.
He knew that he felt only an attraction toward the human child, but he had discovered something this morning which he was blind to do so far.
He had discovered that something was missing by his side, and although his eyes had turned to his former lover, he knew that the piece which was missing within him, was somehow connected to his husband's presence.
He had denied it for years, but still he couldn't figure out his own feelings toward Erestor. He was confused about his own feelings, sometimes feeling lust and sometimes considering that it may be love beating within him.
But too many times his heart was being played with, so he wasn't sure how to express his feelings on the outside anymore.
He lowered his husband upon the bed and he went searching for the couple of blankets, as he felt that chill was taking over his bodily functions.
With the known haste he lowered his body beside the Erestor's, and he covered both of them with the two blankets; his arms slowly moving to embrace a raven haired elf.
The chill was still working over both of them, but Erestor was the one who had felt it the most, and desperately he was relishing a heat Glorfindel's body offered.
Glorfindel pressed closer to thakyhaky elf and his hand sneaked gently toward the Erestor's hair, inhaling the alluring scent other one was possessing.
Glorfindel wished he knew what real feelings he held for him. From time to time he thought that it was a love he was feeling, but his mind told him to stray away from that thought.
He couldn't remember when it was, that his feelings had changed toward Erestor. He only knew that hundred years ago, his regard for this elf has changed into a something different.
But what it was he wasn't sure at all. Even now when they were married, he was lost in finding the answer and he still wondered what feeling was hidden deeply inside of his heart.
Glorfindel heard some noise at the door, and he raised his head, realizing that Elrond was coming inside.
Behind him was Arthon, as his face was carrying the same anger he had experienced a few moments ago.
Erestor's eyes were closed but Glorfindel could feel that his husband was getting better and that his body was recovering from those strong shivers.
He only trembled in Glorfindel's arms and Elrond came closer to the bed, lowering his hand upon the advisor's brow.
"Strange, he has a fever but yet I could see him cooling before my eyes." Elrond bit his lip in a confusion and he knew that this was something very unfamiliar to him.
"Erestor, can you hear me. Open your eyes." Elrond tried to get some response from the trembling figure, but the other one's eyes were still closed.
"Glorfindel, are you all right." Elrond asked as he noticed that the other elf in a bed was suddenly shivering, and he wondered if this was affecting both of them the same.
"Yes, I'll be all right. First check on him." Glorfindel's eyes were lowered upon his half-conscious husband, and he knew that this was all his fault. He shouldn't have lingered away from Erestor for too long.
Arthon's eyes were also observing his cousin and his form was restless, as he held hope that his cousin would be all right.
His eyes turned cold as he lowered them upon the Glorfindel's body, and his voice was a threatening one while he uttered these warnings.
"When you stop shaking, I will kill you Glorfindel." Glorfindel's head snapped forward and he met his former tutor's eyes; realizing that Arthon was trying to cover his fear with showing his anger on the outside.
"Arthon, would you please be quiet." Elrond growled and he glared a daggers at his fiance.
"I need you to go to my healing quarters and fetch me a fever remedy, and also to ask of my servant to go to my room, and bring me a book with a blue cover." Elrond's orders were meant for Arthon, and the other elf was gaping at the irritated Lord.
"Do I look like a servant to you?" His icy words broke through, and Elrond's head turned toward the other Lord, while his angry voice chided the other elf.
"I don't have a time to fight with you Arthon, because this is a very serious matter. Go and fetch me those things, this instant." Elrond glared at the other one with challenge and Arthon couldn't deny that the other one was right.
"Okay I am going. I am going." Arthon passed quickly through the room, and with mumbling voice he had disappeared.
Glorfindel snickered and he quickly turned to his husband, raising his hand to check if Erestor's temperature was getting normal.
"You handled him well, Elrond, but I must warn you my friend. Know that somehow he make you pay for ordering him around."
Glorfindel's eyes met Elrond's and he saw that small trail of mirth was dancing in them.
"I do not fear him, but I'll be heeding your warning. Maybe I should expect some revenge from his side, because I snapped at him in front of you."
Glorfindel pulled the blankets closer, and tightly he sealed them over their forms.
"Heed my advice, Elrond. Sleep, but be conscious on your wedding night." Glorfindel's voice was almost playful, but fear inside of him for his bonded was visible upon his eyes.
Glorfindel felt that a piece of the Erestor's soul was hidden within him, and that stubborn part of him was not accepting this bond so easily.
He knew that their bond would seal itself the night when they would make love, and he realized to preserve it, they would have to do it soon.
The soft humming inside of his body and the feeling that something was awaking, had told him that Erestor's conscience was returning.
"He's awaking." Glorfindel said and he saw that Elrond was puzzled, because Erestor's eyes were still closed.
"How do you kn..." Elrond was surprised as he saw that the dark brown eyes had snapped open and instantly he knew that Glorfindel was feeling a bond he shared with his husband.
Erestor's eyes came upon his husband and he closed them again with a long sigh.
Elrond's hand touched the other's face and he didn't see any traces of the fever on the other elf.
"Erestor, I am so glad you are awake," Elrond said with the relieved tone, but soon he addressed the two elves with the more authority in his voice.
"How long have you two been separated today. I know that somehow you didn't heed my warnings and that you had went separate ways." Elrond's accusing voice rang over those two and Erestor's eyes were closed once again as he tried to erase Arthon's words deep inside of him.
"We were separated for three hours." Glorfindel said and his eyes were lowered on the blankets as his hands pulled Erestor against his body.
"Foolish thing to do, Glorfindel, very foolish. Listen to me, you two. You are not to do that again, because this bond is not a strong one, and it vaguely differs from the consummated one. One hour of you separation would be enough to destroy it, but three would have given you a deathly path of no return. Now promise me you will never do anything foolish like that again." Elrond's eyes switched from the one to another elf, and both of them nodded at the same time.
"Good." Elrond nodded back.
Erestor sighed again and finally he started speaking.
"Elrond could you please leave us alone for a second. I need to discuss something with Glorfindel." Erestor's pleading voice broke through and Elrond shook his head in understanding.
"Sure, I will come back in ten minutes. Do you need something while I am away."
"Nay we are fine." Glorfindel said and he wondered what bothered Erestor.
They both heard a door closing behind Elrond, and Glorfindel released the advisor from his grip, so he could deeply gaze at his eyes.
"What troubles you, Erestor." Erestor sighed and he averted his eyes while the blush slowly crept upon his cheeks.
"Glorfindel ... I want to consummate our marriage tonight." Glorfindel's lips were opened in a deep shock and uttering a reply to this was the hardest thing he had to do in his entire lifetime.
"What brought this on, Erestor. We said we would wait for the right moment to do it, and I don't think that opportunity is now." Glorfindel's hand played with the raven strand of hair he found upon his pillow.
"No, it is the right time. I don't want to feel you fading away from me and I don't think our bond will get stronger if we delay this." Erestor's determined voice was audible and Glorfindel knew that the other one was stubborn in his quest.
"I don't know what to say." Glorfindel's eyes gazed at the ceiling and he deeply sighed as he pondered what to do about this. Sure, he wanted this elf and he had wanted to bed him for a long time, but the doubt was gnawing at him.
What if he took this elf and in a passing year he would want someone else who he couldn't have, because he was legally married before the Valar's eyes. The breaking of this bond would mean a death, and surrendering to it was a scary thing to do.
"Say you agree, unless you sights are taken with your old lover." Erestor couldn't help but feel this jealousy within him and he knew he would loose Glorfindel if they didn't do this.
"That Arthon can be a real jerk sometimes." Glorfindel grumbled but then he saw the insecure eyes of his husband and he knew he had to utter a right answer today.
"Nothing would make me happier than consummating this marriage with you. If your strength is back by tonight, that is." Erestor's head slowly turned back to his husband and the small smile had graced his face.
"Very well, I am glad to hear that." His response was a meek one and embarrassingly he covered his head with his raven tre.
.
"And don't listen to you cousin too much. I am bonded to you, and to be taken with some other person would bring me only a death. I am sorry if I had caused you a pain this morning and I promise I shall never stay away from you for that long."
Glorfindel's hand moved over those dark tresses and he was relieved that the tremors in the other's body had finally ce.
.
He gave him a small smile and with one predatory grin he lowered a kiss upon those pink lips. Glorfindel knew his feelings were a things of mystery but every time he was close to this being, he would get a closer insight of himself, and what he found in there was a safe path from any confusion.
