Chapter sixty A visit to Dale
Thranduil roared with laughter when Makaik entered the dining hall, his hair the brightest red he’s ever seen.
The elf sat down and glared. “Daiz is impossible! Why does he pick on me?”
Thranduil’s eyes glistened with mirth and he stood when Daiz entered, talking amicably with Rumil. “Where have you been?”
Rumil blushed and hastily sat down. “Daiz showed me the market.”
Makaik groaned. “No more! Daiz, I swear I will hunt you down if you pull another prank on me. Where do you get them anyway?”
Thranduil rolled his eyes. “I guess it is too much to hope you will grow up?” He shrugged. “Oh, well, Legolas and Joreb did, so two out of four is something.”
Daiz gave some mock shock sounds and smiled. “I am only making Rumil feel at home, adar. You know that. And I’d rather pull pranks with him than become his victim.”
Makaik glared at them both and Rumil backed away.
Thranduil sighed. “Enough! Makaik, if you cannot behave, I will send you away.”
“But adar, they make it impossible for me to carry out your duties. Look at me: my hair is red and yesterday I had to walk home naked for someone…” and he glared at Daiz “…had stolen my clothes and towels.”
Joreb widened his eyes. “But Daiz was with me the entire day.” He gasped, realising what had happened, knowing full well he had just risked his father’s wrath.
He knew only one way to avoid that. “Tell me, adar. Did you suffer as well?”
Thranduil’s eyes sparkled as he nodded. “I walked around with blue and purple hair, got drenched in ice-water, had to walk around naked, found itching powder in my clothes and everything else that has happened to your brother happened to me.”
Makaik’s eyes widened and he looked at Rumil as if he were an apparition. “And father didn’t kill you?”
Thranduil once more roared with laughter. “As you see. Have you replied your brother’s letter yet?”
Makaik nodded, his eyes turning warm and happy. “Now that is one aspect of your job I -do- like. Our Legolas sounds happy.”
Silince smiled. “Of course he is. He gets to teach and thus improve his own skills. How long has he been there?”
Joreb put down his utensils and shrugged. “A few years. He’ll visit on the way to Rohan and he thinks that’ll be in about eight years.”
Thranduil cocked his head. “There’s worry in your eyes. What is it?”
Joreb sighed and shrugged again. “I just find it odd he never goes to Imladris anymore. According to Elrond he always thanks them for inviting him but he always declines. Elrond asked me if it is true and Legolas really is too busy.”
Thranduil narrowed his eyes. “I wonder why? I know Legolas can go if he desires so…. Why doesn’t he? He adored the little one.” He closed his eyes. “Keep me informed and we shall see what we can wiggle out of him when he visits. Come, Rumil, we are riding to Dale today.”
Rumil jumped up, looking forward to being on a horse again.
Makaik grinned. “Hé, Rumil?” He smiled and forced his face to be innocent. “Could you manage to dye adar’s hair again? I would love to see that!” He ducked to avoid the pillow his father threw his way and laughed.
Rumil hastily followed the ruler out.
Joreb cocked his head and studied his brothers. “Shouldn’t you go with them, Daiz?”
Daiz shook his head. “Nay. I’d only be the third wheel. We’ll talk and hair dye later. Come, Makaik, let me help you wash your hair for real.”
Makaik nodded; he did want to get rid of the red.

Elvil sighed and tightened his hold on his lover’s hand.
Elladan hissed and wormed, trying to get his hand some level of freedom. “Elvil, you’re breaking it.” Elvil’s eyes settled on him and he could see the trepidation in them and he pulled him closer. “I am here and I am sure there’s nothing wrong.”
“But then why doesn’t adar come back? He never lasts that long?”
Elladan shrugged. “Perhaps Melpomean transported him? I never knew your medallion was that powerful.”
Elvil laughed. “It connects to all magic, Elladan. But Melpomean must be magical of his own in order to tap into it so easily. Did you see what he did to the Bruinen yesterday?”
Elladan nodded, resting his head on Elvil’s shoulder. “And what about last week… We were in a meeting with Dwarves when he suddenly appeared. Some thought he was a Vala.” He laughed warmly.
Elrond shook his head as he walked back in. “I am sorry it took a little longer, Elvil, but I have news for you. Your body has now fully matured and you are fifty five years old. I do not expect more boosts, but you never know.”
Elvil jumped up and screamed.
Elladan groaned. “Can’t you tell him anything else?”
Elrond laughed. “You have to confirm your love sooner or later, ion, and Elvil is the best for you.”
Elvil raced out, intent on sharing the news with Elnihir, but suddenly stopped and turned. “What’s wrong with Elnihir? He’s so silent lately. Is it because of me?”
Elrond shook his head. “Nay. His birthday is coming up and…”
Elladan growled, standing. “Don’t tell me he declined? Again?”
Elrond shrugged and nodded, his eyes sad. “I am grateful Melpomean and Onardodya keep him occupied, but around his birthday nothing works.” He walked to the window. “Thranduil wrote they’ll keep an eye on Legolas, but that it might be best if they don’t come for the festivities. Given the circumstances he fears their presence might be adding to Elnihir’s pain.” He smiled. Things between the two realms have completely changed and he was grateful. He turned and marched out.
Elladan shrugged and pulled Elvil close. “Do you want to find him?”
Elvil shook his head. “Nay. He’ll be riding his horse now. He spends every free minute with his mare.”
Elladan nodded. “She adores him for it. I doubt she will allow anyone else to even walk her later.”
Together they walked through the corridors.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Onardodya cocked her head and smiled. Even though Elnihir carried a great pain he never showed it and every year his birthday didn’t pain him as much as the year before.
She waved at him and he screamed happy, motioning his mare to go faster.
He loved riding swift and fast. He wished he would be able to ride the valley but his grandfather had forbidden him to ride alone for some more years. So instead he had found a way to be on his horse often without leaving the paddock.
He had created another practising area and was now daily working with her, learning how to shoot from her back just as accurately as he does on the ground.
At first everyone looked at him with funny eyes but Elrond himself had encouraged it and Glorfindel and Ecthelion were now working on learning as well, a movement that inspired all archers to do the same.
Elnihir stopped his practise and made his mare walk towards Onardodya.
She frowned when she noticed he hadn’t uttered a word, nor had he moved his legs.
His smile grew when he saw Elrond walking towards him. “Ata’da! Did you see? I can shoot repeatedly now. I only have to hit the centre now.”
Elrond laughed and shook his head. “I am sorry I missed it.” He rubbed the mare’s nose. “Do not practise tomorrow, Elnihir. I want to take you for a wild, wild ride.”
Elnihir jumped off and into his grandfather’s arms, releasing his joyous sounds.
Elrond laughed. His eyebrows went up at noticing Onardodya’s expression.
She shrugged. “I was just wondering how it’s possible to manoeuvre a horse without speaking. I know you can communicate with them, but still this seems odd.”
Elrond laughed warmly and hugged Elnihir close. “He and Anta communicate on a different level. When he’s on her their minds become linked and so they move as one. I’ve not seen someone do that in a long time though.”
Elnihir shrugged. “We like it and it’s not like we’re going to see war, is it?” He knew being linked with your horse had a downside as well as an upside and it battle the downside: feeling each other’s pains and fears, often outweighed the speed and flexibility.
Elrond shook his head. “Nay. You’re not. Come, take your mare inside and then go to the library. Melpomean wants to continue his lessons. If you’re not there within half an hour he’ll find you.”
Elnihir grinned and his wicked expression already told them he would dally on purpose. But Melpomean always made a spectacle out of finding the little hide-away, making it funny for both of them, especially now that he had discovered and fully mastered his powers.
Galadriel smiled as she stared out over the trees. She closed her eyes and allowed the peaceful sounds sooth and caress her. She heard her love enter but didn’t respond.
Celeborn remained silent, seeing her reconnect to their realm. He sat down on the bed and stretched. He felt strained, physically, emotionally and mentally strained. Last week awful crimes had taken place and he had to lead the investigation and punish the culprits. It had taken its toll on his mind and soul.
Galadriel frowned when she sensed his tiredness and opened her eyes as she turned to take a good look at him. She swiftly crossed the distance to join him on the bed. “Beloved? What has strained you?”
He shook his head. “I do not wish to talk about it. I just need to rest a while. Watch over me?”
The vulnerability in his eyes took her aback and the trust in his words and actions made her heart pound faster. /How is it possible to love him more than I already do? And yet that is what’s happening./ Smiling she placed a kiss on his cheek. “Always.”
He smiled as she assisted him to lay down. With her caressing his hair he fell tightly asleep.
After a few moment his peaceful sleep was disturbed as a nightmare assaulted him and Galadriel grew worried. She knew he only suffered them after battles, when he had ended lives. Soothing him didn’t work and she ran out the door.
The soldier on duty startled but hid it well and she inwardly smiled at his skill. “I want my herbs and fetch our chief counsellor. Now!” She briskly turned and sat on the bedside, continuing soothing him. She knew from experience it wouldn’t help much, but she refused to leave his side.
Within minutes the soldier had returned and handed her the herbs. She smiled and selected the ones she needed. She told the soldier to have the counsellor wait. After turning the herbs into dust she blew it at her sleeping husband and waited for him to calm down.
Only then did she stand and address the warrior, who had taken up position near the door, worry evident on his face. She smiled at seeing it. “Watch him well and let me know the moment he either wakes or suffers another nightmare.” The soldier nodded and she felt relieved enough to leave the room and talk to the counsellor. What she learned wasn’t pleasant.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Celeborn groaned as he woke up and frowned at seeing the clammy sheets and clothes. His hair felt extremely damp as well. “Driel?”
“Sssss, I am here. Come.” Galadriel had only just returned. Her anger had needed a way out first and now she felt balanced enough to assist him. The soldier was under strict orders not to disturb them.
Celeborn sighed contented when Galadriel forced him to leave the bed and settle in the fluffy corner. He grinned. It was a collection of pillows that rested together in one corner of their room. His favourite resting place. And even though Galadriel had expressed a great dislike towards it, she never demanded it removed or loved him less. In fact, whenever he was upset or unbalanced she always steered him there.
He sighed when he felt the many pillows around him and he looked at her. Without words she peeled off her robe and settled beside him. Only now did Celeborn realise she had already removed his clothes and he smiled giddily.
“You are too soft at heart and at times like these it shows.” He looked at her stunned and she smiled. “Aye, I know. You know I cannot sit and do nothing when you suffer. You did what you had to do. None will blame you for taking this action. Do not blame yourself.” Her eyes became determined. “I will not let this one haunt your sleep.”
Celeborn was rendered speechless when she kissed him demandingly and possessively. Under her skilled hands he soon was achingly hard and needy. He rested his head on her shoulder, caressing her closeness and her love.
He moaned when she guided him inside her and dictated the pace.
Galadriel smiled at the effects her control had on him. Even though she loved it when he was driving her mad at some times Celeborn needed to give up control. Suddenly she smirked and her hand travelled downwards. She grinned when he gasped in disbelief when she used her finger to enter him. Sounds of delighted pleasure soon erupted from him as she made her movements mirror the trusts.
The rapture in his movements and eyes took even her aback when she found his gland and rubbed it. She had never known a male could be pleased in such a way. But what surprised her more was his obvious thrill and feeling him pushing back, begging for more. /Perhaps he would love this side of lovemaking? Should I bring another to our bed? But who would be able to pleasure him and keep silent? And not get hurt?/ If this was what he sometimes needed to really let go and it seemed he did need it, she would make sure he had it. But she knew his love for her was too strong to allow a third and she didn’t want this third elf to be injured in heart, soul or mind.
He soon came but the name on his lips wasn’t hers, giving her the answer she needed.
Celeborn came round from this sensory overload and he enjoyed inhaling his wife’s scent, allowing him to find reverie sooner. He hadn’t even realised his mistake.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Thranduil kept a close eye on his charge as they walked through the streets of Dale. Even though this village wasn’t hostile it was best to keep your guard up.
Rumil had enjoyed the fast ride and was now goggling at the people of Dale. He remained close to the king. He could see the mortals laughing at his doubt, but he had never walked on water before and suspected to fall through the wood any given moment. With every wave that passed beneath he held his breath.
Thranduil slowly steered him through the streets and smiled when he saw some cloth he knew Silinde would love. “Just a moment, Rumil.” He entered the seamstress’ house and smiled warmly, feasting his eyes on her skill. “I’ve been away too long.”
The female smiled and curtsied, recognizing the elven king. “Greetings, Thranduil King. Thank you for your kind compliment. Elven company is always a joy.”
Thranduil smiled and pointed to the cloth. “How much do you ask for that?” He nodded when he heard the price. In his opinion it was too low but he would rectify that by giving her a large tip.
His eyes now caught more cloth and he narrowed his eyes as he approached. How was it possible to get it to shine like that in the shade?
The female rushed to assist him and held it out, stunning him further.
“You show elven skills, lady. And your prices are too low.”
She blushed at the compliment. “Thank you, sire. And I cannot ask more for they would not pay it and I cannot afford to sell nothing.”
He rubbed his nose. “Do you desire to remain?”
She widened her eyes, not sure she understood. “Sire?”
He grinned, realising he had overwhelmed her. “I would like for you to teach Mirkwood’s seamstresses your skills. And perhaps you can set up shop there?”
Her eyes glistened. She had always wanted to be amongst the elves and there was nothing keeping her here. “How much would I have to pay for rent? And food?”
Thranduil shook his head. “If you eat at the common place it is free, provided you do your share of cooking, cleaning and so on. And as you would be a teacher you would receive lodgings in the weaver’s house.”
She waved her hand around. “I do want to bring all this.”
He nodded in understanding. “Including your machines, I suppose. I shall send elves to help you move and make sure you don’t get lost. There are still some dangerous parts in the forest.”
She smiled and felt herself extremely lucky. “I am honoured, sire. I can be ready in two days.”
He nodded. “They will be here. And here, for your present expenses.”
She blushed and curtsied again as he left with his purchases.
He widened his eyes when he saw Rumil clutching a pole. He swiftly approached. “Rumil? What is wrong?”
The elf locked eyes and Thranduil could read the panic and fear in them.
An old male pushed him aside and kneeled beside the frightened Rumil. “Here, suck.” His voice sounded as though comforting a child. “Do not be afraid. It was just water. The village isn’t going down. Suck, it will help you relax. You do not want to stay here the rest of the day, do you?”
That did it and Rumil sucked.
Thranduil cocked his head. “What happened?”
The mortal turned and blushed, realising he had just shoved the elven king aside. “Sometimes the water comes through those holes. We collect it in the barrels beside it. Your friend didn’t expect it and got frightened. I guess he’s not one for water.”
He stood and smiled. “I am the old healer, only on duty when the other one can’t handle it. I happened to be standing next to him. The root will soothe him and help him relax, but I advice you to take him to solid ground.”
Thranduil nodded. “How’s the fishing going?”
The male shrugged. “Not very well. If we hadn’t been growing seeds on the land we’d starve this winter. Some say we’ve emptied the lake.”
Thranduil shook his head. “Impossible. You respect nature and don’t take more than you need and I’ve seen you throw the young ones back. Nay, they are here. Perhaps you need new bait?”
The man grinned and left, waving.
Rumil struggled up and nearly fell down again as another wave made the street shake. “How can they walk like this?”
Thranduil laughed and supported him. “Come, to the horses. And I think they are unsteady on the legs on dry land, Rumil. They’re used to this. I am sorry I took so long.”
Rumil shook his head, feeling better now that Thranduil was there, making sure he remained on his feet. He couldn’t help screaming in joy when he stood on solid ground again. “Never again will I set foot in Dale. Ever!”
Thranduil whistled and the horses ran towards them. “Come, help me pack this. We’ll go home and deliver this and then we might go for another wild ride.”
Rumil’s eyes lit up and nodded eagerly. “It’s different riding here than in Lothlórien. There are true paths here where you can go real fast. I like that.”
Thranduil smiled warmly and mounted. “I am glad Mirkwood pleases you this much.” His eyes took on a mischievous glance. “I think I just found a new prank.” Rumil looked at him but he shook his head. “I am not telling you. That’s like giving an orc a bow and arrow.”
Rumil laughed warmly. “I will find out.”
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Elrond stood beside his son with a concerned and worried expression. Elrohir’s body language showed despair as he leaned against his lover, who held him tight.
Galadriel silently came to stand beside the Peredhel. “Do you want me to fetch him?”
Despite himself and the situation Elrond laughed at the image. He could vividly image Galadriel doing just that. He shook his head. “Nay. This is something he has to work through himself.” His voice was sad, for he didn’t want to see his grandson in pain, and heartache was the worst pain.
Galadriel sighed. “Well, for his sake I hope our blond realises soon. He might not have the luxury of waiting.” Elrond turned to her with wide eyes and she shrugged. “There are many that desire him, Elrond. You know that.”
He nodded. “But I also know his heart. I just don’t see why it’s too much to come to his birthday. Every year the same lame excuses. And don’t you tell the truth to Elnihir, it will break his heart even further.”
Galadriel nodded and she sighed. “Still, I think a little detour might be called for. See if he isn’t hurting him without cause.” Her eyes were determined and Elrond held his tongue. “But stay in contact. And…” She grinned. “You have a mate capable of teleportation. I do believe even Legolas would fear him now. Do not worry.” She looked around. “Where is he? He seems to be missing.”
Elrond’s look turned lovingly and he sighed. “He’s cleaning the study. I made a mess.” Galadriel raised her eyebrows in silent question and he shrugged, blushing. “He’s found a new way to materialize and I was too lost in reverie.” He sighed. “I told him to let it wait, but he insisted. I can deny him nothing.”
Galadriel nodded. “Love can do that.”
Elrond turned and his look was sad. “And why have you come alone? Where’s Celeborn?”
She laughed warmly and uncontrollably. “He is petrified of Onardodya. I tell you I am grateful she is mortal or my husband would never leave the realm again.” She looked at the woman who was doing her best to keep Elnihir occupied. “But I can understand why he feels like that. She’s extremely fiery.”
Elrond nodded. “Aye. But not fiery enough.” He shook his head. “Nay, that’s not fair. She does her best, but even she is doomed to fail today.”
Galadriel nodded. “Perhaps we should call it an early night and drug him? Suffer his ache.”
Elrond shrugged. “I don’t know.”
He looked at her and decided he had to know why her eyes were so mischievous. He just knew she had an hidden agenda. “All right, why are you really here?”
Galadriel cocked her head, smiling warmly. “It’s my great grandchild’s birthday.”
Elrond nodded but narrowed his eyes. “What other reason?”
Galadriel sighed but nodded, realising she’s been found out. “I was hoping I could convince your chief minstrel to abandon this fear realm for a while and offer his skills to myself and Celeborn.”
Elrond’s frown deepened, wondering if there was something behind this, but he decided she wouldn’t tell him if there was. And if it would be dangerous she would have told him without delay. He nodded and signalled the minstrel close.
Lindir bowed before his lord. “My Lord Elrond?”
Elrond smiled. “Galadriel has just asked if you could be spared for a while. It seems your skills are needed in Lothlórien.”
Lindir smirked and nodded. “Aye, I’ve heard their poor attempts at singing. I shall gladly accompany you, my lady.”
Chapter sixty one Unexpected mating
Thranduil growled and threw his cloak on the bed. Why couldn’t he get something that would be perfect? Hearing a chuckle from the door he turned and his eyes spat fire, but he mellowed when Rumil stood there with shining eyes.
The years in Mirkwood had really changed the elf and a warm, gentle person who had a great sense of humour had emerged. And also someone not at the least concerned of shouting at him in the same manner Thranduil could shout. He had grown to like him a lot and cherished his company and the king already regretted the day the other would depart for his own realm again.
He sighed. “Don’t tell me my growling disturbed your slumber.”
Rumil smiled and shook his head, entering the room. Besides Daiz and Legolas no one else walked in without permission and he smiled warmly at the king. “I do not think Legolas will mind. Come, on. His visit will not be long, you should make the best of it and fully enjoy it while it lasts. He’ll be journeying back to Gondor in three days time.”
Thranduil nodded. “I know. It’s just…”
Rumil ensnared him from behind and smiled warmly at his reflection. “I understand. But growling and throwing one cloak after the other at your bed isn’t helping much, is it?” He let go and walked to the bed. “Here, wear this one. It matches your outfit and really brings out your eyes.”
He didn’t give Thranduil time to protest and clasped the item in place before steering the King outside.
Thranduil laughed. “Why, Rumil, since when are you dictating the actions of your host?”
Rumil smiled. “Since your children asked me to.”
They hurried down and were just in time to see Legolas come into view. The elf had changed completely and now mirrored the elf he had raised instead of the shell he had known for so long after the Ring had been destroyed.
“Legolas, ion-nin.”
Legolas jumped off and hugged his father. “I missed you too, adar. Why is Rumil here?”
Thranduil smiled but before he could answer Daiz spoke, hugging his brother. “Because he accompanied adar when he returned and hasn’t left since. He’s great company and definitely a positive influence on our father.”
Joreb laughed. “Though not on Makaik’s humour.”
Daiz snorted. “What humour? He has none.”
Thranduil shook his head and Legolas laughed. He was happy to have made the journey. He leaned in close. “I am happy to be home, if only for a little while.” He smirked. “And I bring messages from Gondor. They wish to set up trade with you.”
Joreb nodded. “I hope you do not expect a return message when you go back? I simply refuse to do anything while you are here and I will not allow adar doing anything either. Mirkwood will have to exists without us for three days.”
Thranduil frowned, but held his mouth. “Come, Legolas, your rooms await you. You can do with a bath.”
Legolas nodded and smiled at Rumil. “You look better. It seems Mirkwood has a positive influence on you as well.” He cocked his head, wondering if he was seeing things. He would have to talk with his siblings about this possibility.

Elnihir dismounted, feeling as strained as Anta did, but they both had loved the extremely wild ride Elrond had taken them on. He loved spending time with his grandfather.
“Ata’da? It seems you are more relaxed since Mel got those powers.”
Elrond nodded. “Aye. I am. Knowing he can easily transport us does help me feel more at ease.”
He laid down on the riverbank and signalled for his grandson to settle down next to him. He smiled when Elnihir snuggled close. “I also find I tremendously enjoy this. The wind in your hair. Feeling the lands around you as you pass by. It’s energizing.”
Elnihir nodded and closed his eyes, liking this quality time. “Can I sleep? I am tired.”
Elrond nodded and caressed his hair. At some times he forget how young he really was. “Of course. I shall wake you when it is time to go.”
He mentally reached out and smiled when Melpomean instantly entered his mind. `I miss your presence too. But Elnihir needs you, meleth. I shall make you forget tonight.`
Elrond smiled warmly. `I love you. Do you have time?`
`Give me five minutes.`
Elrond nodded and yawned, closing his eyes. He trusted the horses to alert him should there be danger.
He opened his eyes when he felt his hair being caressed. Upon seeing his lover a huge smile adorned his face.
Melpomean had settled beside him and was holding him close. “You should sleep as well. Sometimes I worry about our nightly activities. I drain you.”
Elrond shook his head and stole a kiss. “I wouldn’t have it any other way. But you are right. I do need to rest.” He had long given up trying to match this elf to the shy and insecure secretary of before. Ever since Melpomean’s suicide attempt the elf had completely changed and had taken charge of their relationship and Elrond enjoyed it.

Celeborn smiled but couldn’t help worry. Why was Lindir here? Why had Galadriel arranged for his company?
Lindir smiled warmly and finished his play. He stood. “I should retire to my quarters now. It was an honour to play for you this eve.”
Celeborn stood and inclined his head. “Aye, you must be tired. And the honour is mine. You are truly talented.”
Lindir blushed and left.
Celeborn turned and prevented his wife from following the minstrel out. “Driel? I know that look. You are planning something.” He steered her inside. “If he has a potential lover here -I- should be done the scheming.”
Galadriel laughed and shook her head, her eyes shining with mirth. “Not in this case, my love.” She swiftly left and left him confused.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Legolas inhaled the smells of his realm and smiled. He stepped closer and spoke up. “Don’t you miss your brothers, Rumil?”
If Rumil was surprised to hear his voice he didn’t show it. Instead he elegantly walked to stand beside him, a smile gracing his features. “With your brothers around?”
Seeing Legolas look at him seriously he sighed and nodded. “Aye, I miss them. And Galadriel and Celeborn. How can I not? But this realm hardly gives me time to feel homesick or melancholic.”
Legolas smiled. “I am glad to hear it.” He cocked his head. “Any ideas when you are returning?”
Rumil widened his eyes. “That eager to get rid of me?”
Legolas shook his head and his posture became even more serious. “Nay. I just know your departure will cause heartache.”
Rumil’s eyes misted over and a hopeful look entered them. He sighed. “I could never stay away long. My heart wouldn’t let me.”
Hearing these words made Legolas smile. Perhaps there was hope? “So someone captured your heart? Who? Just don’t say it’s Joreb or Silinde. They are hopelessly in love with each other and there’s no room for a third person.”
Rumil laughed warmly and shook his head. “Nay. Not them.”
He sat down, still smirking. “Do you know Thranduil walked in on them last month?” He laughed, seeing the ruler’s flustered face before him again. “He entered his study and found them at it.” He shook his head. “You should have seen his eyes, Legolas. And I only saw them minutes afterwards. He didn’t look where he was going and knocked me to the ground again.”
Legolas raised his eyebrows. “Again?”
Rumil shrugged. “He did that often in Imladris. And it still happens here from time to time.”
Legolas noticed his tone and narrowed his eyes. /How come my siblings don’t notice?/ He smiled. “You seem extremely fond of my father.” Seeing the eyes become guarded he knew he had struck gold. “Tell me, does he hold your heart?”
Rumil blushed and desperately looked for a way out. He shook his head, but couldn’t look Legolas in the eyes.
Legolas laughed and stood. “See you later.” He ran away and didn’t knock as he entered the study.
Joreb and Thranduil looked up, blushing. “See, I told you so.”
Joreb shook his head. “Really, Legolas. How can we throw you a surprise party if you keep interrupting our talks?”
Thranduil laughed and stood, embracing his son. “And once more you entered because of something else, didn’t you?”
Legolas nodded. “I am sorry. I shall pretend to know nothing.”
Joreb snorted but held his tongue.
Legolas leaned against his father. “Perhaps you should invite Celeborn for a visit?”
Thranduil cocked his head and looked at Joreb who nodded. He too had heard that undercurrent that usually meant his little brother had an ulterior motive for asking this. “Legolas, why would we? Rumil isn’t feeling homesick and Celeborn and Galadriel are coming to celebrate the solstice.”
Legolas sighed. “It’s just that Rumil is in love and I thought Celeborn would welcome the change to meddle.”
Joreb yelped as he fell of his chair in shock. That he hadn’t expected to hear. Because of his antics both he and Legolas failed to notice Thranduil’s temporal pale complexion.
Joreb stood and smirked. “Who with? Silinde can help bring them together.”
Legolas shook his head but Joreb was having none of that. He needed to know and he wiggled his eyebrows before he launched a tickle attack on his youngest brother.
Legolas’ laughter sounded through the room along with his pleas for help.
Thranduil crossed his arms and remained at a safe distance. He wouldn’t aid his son now, for he yearned to hear the answer too.
Joreb wondered why his father didn’t intervene but smirked, seeing the green eyes carry hope and jealousy. /How could I have been so blind? But what if Rumil’s in love with another? But who? He spends most of his time with adar./ That gave him the security to continue his attack.
The door opened and Thranduil’s other children looked on in amazement. Daiz was about to mix in but held back when he saw his father’s glare. “What’s going on here?”
Makaik shrugged but also kept a safe distance from both his siblings and his father.
Joreb held Legolas to the floor with his knee and pinned the arms above their heads. “Well, I can go on forever. Who is it? A name, Legolas.” The denial was hard to hear through the laughter and Joreb shrugged. “Suit yourself.” He doubled the assault easily and Legolas’ squirming didn’t aid the young prince to get away.
“All right. Adar. It’s adar. Stop it. stop it.”
Joreb stopped, but not because he had won. Surprise and shock, that’s what he felt. Even though he had half expected and hoped to hear this, it didn’t prevent the blow from hitting home when he actually heard it. He sat back stabbed.
Daiz and Makaik looked at each other, at their father, noticing his surprised, shocked and pleased look, and at their siblings. “Can someone please tell us what is going on here? Legolas, what’s the matter with adar?”
Makaik screamed in shock when he was suddenly roughly pushed aside. “Adar?” He shook his head and stood, hanging on to his dignity. “What in Varda’s name is happening?”
Joreb’s uncontrolled laughter made him jump and shake his head again. “Daiz, they’re beginning to scare me.”
Daiz nodded. “Aye. Legolas?”
Legolas sat up and shook his head. “Rumil.” He was still catching his breath.
Daiz and Makaik looked at each other and their faces cleared when they realised the truth simultaneously. “Adar and Rumil. Who would have thought?” They hugged each other and danced around. “This we need to celebrate.”
Thranduil was surprised to find Rumil packing hurriedly. “Rumil?”
The elf twirled round and smiled. “I have to go to Lothlórien. They need me.”
Thranduil shook his head. “We’ve received word only yesterday. And they are coming here for the solstice. Why are you running away?”
Rumil ignored him and continued packing. “Please don’t ask me. I have to go.”
Thranduil nodded. “If you must. I shall lead your escort myself.” Seeing Rumil’s shocked look his eyes and posture became one of authority. “I am king here, Rumil. And I will not allow you to travel alone. I need to know you safe.”
Rumil shook his head and did his best not to shudder. “Nay. You cannot leave your realm. Some soldiers are more than enough. I can travel swifter that way.”
Thranduil narrowed his eyes. “You are running away from me than. Did I offend you? If so, I apologize.”
Rumil smiled. He couldn’t help looking at the other with affection. “Nay. You did nothing.”
He turned and grabbed some more clothes. The material felt smooth and he smiled. Thranduil had it made for him a year ago and he cherished it. Although many more had followed this one remained special.
Thranduil walked forward, cornering the other. “I did nothing? I must apologize then. And rectify the mistake.”
Hearing this and feeling Thranduil’s body behind him made Rumil twirl around and his eyes widened.
Thranduil smiled. “Joreb is extremely skilled in making his brothers tell him things. Legolas is still catching his breath.” He reached out and caressed the other’s hair. “I never realised until then.”
Rumil narrowed his eyes. He wasn’t sure what the other was saying but he wouldn’t hear a rejection. “Do not worry. Would you let me continue packing? I can be on my way in an hour.”
Thranduil shook his head and closed the distance further, pressing his body to Rumil’s. He smiled at the other’s response to his closeness. “I realised I don’t want to lose you to anything.” He moved his hips forward. “And you love me back. All this time you loved me back.” He ignored Rumil’s puzzled look and claimed his lips, showing him how he felt.
Rumil dropped the clothes he was holding and responded as soon as he could see the honesty in the other’s eyes. This was real, this wasn’t to make him feel better, this was real, very real. His body was humming and responding to the kiss. He needed and wanted more than this, much, much more.
Thranduil felt it too. He pulled back and wanted to walk to the bed, but he remained motionless. Rumil’s flustered face kept him captivated.
Rumil started removing their clothes and that fired him up. But rational thought hadn’t left him yet. “No. We should move to the bed.”
Rumil shook his head. “Now. I need you now.”
Thranduil kissed him again and trembled against his new lover, who was eagerly working on their clothes. When they were finally naked Thranduil pulled back and devoured the elf before him with his eyes, knowing Rumil did the same.
He looked around for some sort of oil but Rumil’s hand suddenly locked around his member and he fell forward, not at all prepared for that movement and the sensation it produced. Feeling Rumil lick his fingers he grinned and complied.
When Rumil stopped he started preparing his lover and he felt Rumil spread his precome over his flesh, preparing him.
Rumil briefly wondered if he should tell Thranduil he was untouched, but he was too enraptured to care and he knew any pain he might feel would be nice. After all, his brother Orophin couldn’t get enough of it with his lover.
He locked his legs around Thranduil and clung to the other. His body demanded more. He nodded when Thranduil asked him if he was ready.
But instead of extreme joy he only felt extreme pain. It was like he was being ripped apart. How could his brother yearn for this? Or did Orophin enjoy pain?
Thranduil slowly entered his lover but stilled when he felt the body tense. He saw the expression of great pain and the tears well up in his lovers eyes. /A virgin./ He stilled the growl that wanted to escape him. what was it with him and virgins?
He pulled his love close and kissed him, trying to make up for the pain. He hated himself for not insisting they move to the bed, where he could have made it less painful.
“Rumil, you need to relax. Why didn’t you tell me? This is not the best position for a first timer.” He caressed him and fired up his kisses. “Oh, Rumil.”
The pain and guilt in Thranduil’s voice touched Rumil. It made him realise it wasn’t supposed to hurt this much. He closed his eyes and tried to focus on the caresses and the kisses.
Thranduil noticed and intensified them. He would do everything to make this as pleasurable for Rumil as possible and he really hated himself for being so blind to the signs. Signs he now, in retrospect, could clearly read.
Feeling Rumil relax he smiled but didn’t move yet. Rumil still had to get used to the invasive feeling.
Rumil now felt good enough to claim the other’s lips and he involuntarily pulled the other closer, needing to feel his body to his own. In doing so he also forced Thranduil to push inside, more than the king had intended and pain washed over him again.
Thranduil kept soothing and kissing him. “Just a little more. Focus on the kiss, Rumil. Please.”
Rumil did so but didn’t close his eyes. If he did the pain in his abdomen would take control and he didn’t want to be the reason for them to stop. But he still didn’t see how Orophin could enjoy this? But perhaps his brother had Thranduil’s role and had never realised he was hurting Elrohir. But on the other hand, Elrohir wouldn’t allow anyone to hurt him in any way. And certainly not repeatedly. This seriously confused him.
Thranduil could see his mind wandering of, but he didn’t ask Rumil to concentrate. He was glad he did, for it aided the elf in relaxing his body. Rumil was so engrossed in his thoughts he didn’t feel Thranduil pull out and thrust again. Knowing he had to bring ecstasy to the younger elf he aimed different and instantly hit target.
Rumil was jolted back to reality as stars erupted from the inside. “What?”
Thranduil smiled and kissed him. “Enjoy it, Rumil.” He thrust again, keeping his pace slow.
When Rumil realised what was happening he screamed. Every time Thranduil entered him the pain subsided and slowly be began to realise why it was so great.
Thranduil complied when Rumil told him to speed up and hit him harder. He pressed his love to the wall, almost crushing him between it and his own body. He was so close and still Rumil screamed for more. He knew what needed to be done, but he couldn’t move his arms or they would tumble to the ground. And with Rumil being new at it he didn’t dare risking an unexpected pull out. “Touch yourself, Rumil. Pump yourself for me.”
Rumil whimpered. Thranduil’s words fuelled his fire and his arms shuddered and shook as he moved to do so. The double assault of pleasuring himself and feeling Thranduil inside him undid him and he came hard.
Thranduil held him close and followed instantly, claiming the blond elf as his own. Rumil hang limp in his hold and he carefully pulled out.
Rumil’s eyes flashed open and Thranduil read the silent accusation in them.
He lifted him and managed to make the bed where he placed his lover between the many items. His eyes drifted lower and he was extremely pleased to see the absence of blood.
Rumil grabbed him and pulled him close, the hold on his wrist was crushing and he hissed. “Rumil…” His voice was begging and Rumil understood. The elf released his hold. But the eyes still flared with silent accusation and Thranduil swallowed.
“Rumil. Please? I didn’t realise you were a virgin. I would never have agreed to that position if I had. Please don’t be mad?” Rumil’s laughter was the last he expected.
The young elf snuggled close and kissed him. “I’m not mad. I should have told you, but it didn’t cross my mind.”
Thranduil sighed in relieve. “But why are your eyes mad? If not for that, than what?”
Rumil blushed. “I didn’t want to lose that feeling. You…”
Understanding dawned on Thranduil and he smiled affectionately. “Pulled out? I had to. We could hardly stay that way and I needed to make sure you weren’t hurt and I thought you had fallen asleep.”
Rumil nodded but he couldn’t prevent his tears from leaving. “But I feel so empty now.”
Thranduil snorted. “Wait until you try walking. You won’t feel empty then, but sore.”
He pulled his lover close. “Do you still want to leave me?”
Rumil’s eyes widened and he frantically shook his head. “Nay. I never wanted to leave you, but I never thought…. I mean….”
Thranduil smiled and nodded, understanding him. “We’ve been blind. And now we’re mated.”
Rumil smiled. “Really? This really was more… permanent?”
Thranduil nodded. “I claimed you as my own and when you claim me we’ll be together. Forever. I’ll never let you go, Rumil. Ever again.”
Rumil snuggled closer. “Good. For you’re stuck with me regardless.” He sighed and couldn’t help sadness from seeping in.
“And that makes you sad, because?”
Rumil smiled at Thranduil’s concern, but he didn’t speak. He didn’t want the other to laugh at him or lecture him.
Suddenly Thranduil understood. /He loves me that much? And I never knew… Thranduil, you are an old blind fool./
He smiled and kissed his lover. “I can deny you nothing. Turn around then.”
Rumil frowned but did as he was bid. He sighed contented when he felt Thranduil spoon behind him and pull him close. Feeling the other’s flesh served to remind him of the sensations that had coursed through him but they made him feel empty again. Suddenly he sat up and turned, his eyes determined. “There are some things I clearly do not know. Answer them?”
Thranduil seemed stunned by the movement but didn’t protest and merely nodded, caressing his arm.
Chapter sixty two Love, dum, dum, dum
Legolas turned and waved before he fully moved out of their view. He would miss them. He smiled when he had seen Rumil standing so close to his father. He hoped their talk had helped. He still wondered why the other had come to him instead of going to his father with his questions. But he wouldn’t pry in their affairs.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Thranduil sighed and walked into his room. He had three hours before dinner and he had decided to take a nice long bath. One filled with images of his love.
Ever since that first time Rumil had kept his distance and Thranduil realised the other needed some time and didn’t pressure him to spend it with him, although he yearned to have him close.
He still wondered what Rumil had wanted to know, but for some reason the elf had turned silent and hadn’t spoken after asking him to answer his questions. /Rumil, don’t you know I will never think less of you?/
He disrobed and moved to his private pool, but twirled round when he heard the door being locked behind him.
His eyes and posture relaxed when he noticed it was Rumil. Realising he was naked made him blush. “I missed your company, Rumil.”
Rumil smiled and walked closer. “Are you taking a bath? So soon?”
Thranduil shrugged. “I do not often have the luxury to soak in the tub for three hours. But if you want to go somewhere I’ll forgo it.”
Rumil shook his head. “Nay. But I would like to do something else before bathing.”
Thranduil nodded and reached for his tunic though he frowned when Rumil grabbed his wrist. Seeing the other’s eyes he swallowed. He could see the need burning and it made him hard instantly.
Within seconds Rumil’s clothes were discarded and Thranduil watched in amazement as Rumil pushed him on the bed. “Legolas and I talked.” He kissed him, possessively. “I hope you’ve got some stamina. We do have about two hours…”
Thranduil bucked and moaned, liking what Rumil was saying. “What do you have in mind?”
Rumil’s eyes glistened and he straddled his lover. He didn’t know he could enjoy this dominance so much. But he realised Legolas had been right. Thranduil was in control all day, he had to be as a ruler. So sexually he would enjoy to give it up. And saying and doing the things he had planned didn’t freak him out as he had feared.
He locked eyes and caressed the body beneath him. “Well, we have to complete the circle before anything else.”
He smiled at the happy look on Thranduil’s face. “Else?”
Rumil nodded. “Aye. I refuse to fall asleep without being one with you, preferable feeling you. So tonight you better take me again. As we will be tired it will have to be swift and short.”
Thranduil shook his head. “Nay. I refuse to hurt you.” Rumil’s smirk made him widen his eyes. What did this imp have in mind?
Rumil leaned in closer. “Thranduil. As pleasurable as I think you’ll be, I do not think I can make you squirm for two hours long. Now, where’s your oil?”

Elladan locked the door and jumped when he saw Erestor. “What are you doing here?”
Erestor merely cocked his head, taking the twin in. “These are my rooms, Elladan. Care to tell me what -you- are doing here?”
He smiled when he heard noises from the bathroom. “Stay there, meleth. I don’t want Elladan to see you naked.” Shocked noises now sounded and Elladan blushed.
“Erestor please. You have to hide me. Elvil’s extremely horny. I… I… I am not ready.”
Erestor mellowed instantly and approached him. “Oh, Elladan. It is nothing to fear. I enjoy it tremendously.” A sniff from the door made him smile.
Thrilmaldur walked closer, having adorned his body with a large towel. “You had better, troublemaker.”
Elladan looked up, sensing a way to make Erestor blush. “Troublemaker? What did he do?”
Thrilmaldur smiled and was about to answer when he saw his lover’s look. He shrugged. “What didn’t he do?”
He sat down and looked at Elladan. “Why are you afraid to become intimate with your love? It is only natural. And he is mature now.”
Elladan nodded. “I’ve never…”
Erestor widened his eyes but Thrilmaldur smiled and kneeled before him. “You’ve never been with a male before and neither has Elvil. And that is what spooks you most. You two know the basics but that is it. Am I right?”
Elladan nodded. “Aye. I would love to be with him in that way, but what if I make a mistake? Or what if I can’t do some things?”
Erestor smiled and embraced him. “Don’t you think Elvil will be worried about those things as well?”
Elladan shrugged. “If he is, he hides it well.”
Thrilmaldur smiled and looked up. “Come in, Elvil. But I forbid you to jump your love.”
Elvil walked in and almost glared at Erestor, who was still embracing the twin.
Thrilmaldur smiled. “Let’s get things cleared here. Elvil, you need to take a step down. Elladan just isn’t ready yet.”
Seeing the counsellor’s eyes made Elvil realise he’s been rather determined and blind to Elladan’s needs. He hung his head. “I am sorry. Perhaps adar’s wrong and I am still an elfling.”
Erestor laughed and stood, pulling Elladan up. “Why don’t you two talk, really talk, about this. And you can always come to us. The both of you.”
Thrilmaldur nodded. “And if we’re in ‘Lórien, Elrond and Melpomean will gladly take our place.”
Elladan wriggled his nose, not really liking that thought, but he left, understanding they were right. They had to talk about this. Perhaps he could talk to his twin as well?

Lindir smiled as he watched the play. It was really kind of Galadriel to invite him here. He hadn’t known Lothlórien was this beautiful.
He blushed when his musings were interrupted by none other than the lady of his latest thought. “My lady?” He stood and bowed.
She smiled and waved his respect away. “Would you walk with me, Lindir? I would like to talk to you. Or does the play please you too much?”
Lindir shook his head. “I know it by heart already, lady Galadriel. It will be my pleasure. But…” He hesitated but asked anyway. “I was wondering if I would be singing for you and your husband tonight? Since this feast will last long, I wondered if my skills were required.” Could that have been any more tactless?
Galadriel smiled. “Well, I shall have to attend the dance, but Celeborn always makes himself scares long before that time. And I know he enjoys your company, Lindir. Do not bereft him your talents tonight.”
He nodded and smiled. The aspect of singing for Celeborn only made his smile last.
Galadriel stopped and smiled, her eyes determined. “Every year the border-families invite me over. I am accepting them this time.”
Lindir frowned. He wondered why she would tell him that.
“I do not wish for Celeborn to spend his time alone. He broods too easily.”
Lindir smiled, glad he understood so swiftly. “Do you desire for me to keep him company, my lady?”
She nodded, wondering if she did or didn’t have to elaborate. Lindir smiled warmly. “It would be my pleasure. I shall continue singing for him at night and during the day I will keep an eye on him, my lady.”
Galadriel stilled a growl. Was this because Lindir was from Imladris or was he really this dense? How did Celeborn do this all the time?
She sighed and grabbed his arm, steering him closer. “I have one question for you Lindir and please know I will not tolerate a lie.” She locked their eyes and prevented him from looking away. “Do you have any feelings for Celeborn? Other than friendship?”
Something about her look made Lindir feel forced to nod and tell the truth. “I desire him.” As soon as he had spoken he blushed and backed away. “Forgive me. Nothing will pass, I assure you. It brings me joy and pleasure just to sing for him, no matter the amount of people in the room. Please…”
Galadriel laughed and stilled his flow of words. “Lindir. Be silent. I brought you here and I am leaving for the borders for one reason only. And that does not include nothing.” She smiled. “Aye, sing for him, but do something more.”
She stepped closer and grabbed his wrist. “Lindir. I shall be back in two weeks. Fourteen days. And when I return I had better find him shining more than he does now.”
Lindir smiled. “Of course he will. You will be back.” He yelped when she tightened her grip. “My lady, I do not understand. What do you wish from me? I shall not act on my desire. I know his heart belongs to you. I would never dare….”
Galadriel hissed and he stopped speaking. She growled. “Are you being this dense on purpose? Do I really have to spell everything out? Fine! You have fourteen days to court him, Lindir. Do it fast, do it slow. It matters not to me. There are certain things I just cannot give him, but that doesn’t mean I will be there to watch. Plain and simple, Lindir. I want you to bed him. The speed with which you move decides the times you do so, for it will stop once I am back. Am I making myself clear?”
Lindir looked at her, briefly considering her crazy but her look told enough. She was serious. “Why me? I am just a minstrel. From Imladris.”
She smiled. “There are many reasons why I picked you, Lindir. But you understand the situation and what is required from you better than any other could because you are a minstrel and I would not do this to someone who resides here, bringing possible heartache.” She placed her hands on his shoulders. “Lindir, I might desire for you to bed him, but if you feel such an act would bring you heartache, than tell me now and I shall not leave.”
Lindir blinked at her, having trouble taking all this in. “Why?”
She smiled. “Because, Lindir, no matter how much I love my husband and wish him happy, I will not see that pain another. Especially if that other is you.”
Lindir felt himself warm at her words. “Forgive me if I am bold, but I do think I deserve to ask these questions.” He swallowed. “Would this be a one time thing or would you require me to do repeat it?”
She smiled, knowing he’d accepted the challenge. “I truly do not know, Lindir. It depends on Celeborn. If he is to miss it than aye, you would find yourself in this position again.”
She sighed and shook her head. “Nay, that is not true. Even if he doesn’t miss it, I know there will be times when he needs it. When not even my love can stop the pain and darkness from distorting his dreams.”
Lindir gasped. “He suffers nightmares?”
Galadriel nodded and her eyes warmed at hearing his tone. “Aye. Usually after battles when he was forced to end a life. He’s a kind and gentle soul, Lindir, and bringing such destruction hurt him.”
Lindir gasped. “But he rules a realm. How does he do that? Even Elrond has to use violence sometimes.”
Galadriel nodded. “That is why I need to know you will there for him. But I can also look for one closer for those nights. But I would prefer for you to be it now, regardless of the future.”
Lindir sighed and narrowed his eyes. “Let me get this straight. You want me to seduce and bed him during the coming two weeks, but there’s no guarantee for the future. Even should he suffer a nightmare I will probably not be close and you will turn to another. Am I understanding this correctly?”
She nodded. “It is up to you. If you do not feel up to it…”
He shook his head. “I will do it.” He had to admit he yearned to take the lord and now he was given permission by the other half.
Galadriel smiled and left. “I shall pack then. And you do not necessarily have to be subtle. He can take a lot.”
Lindir laughed. “My lady, if I am not subtle I will bed him no later than the day after tomorrow.” He couldn’t help licking his lips. Twelve nights… Now that was a prospect.
She could see it in his eyes and left smiling.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Thranduil lay passive but growled when his love remained out of his reach. Now that he had found his release and had enjoyed feeling the other come inside him he wanted nothing more than to hold him close, but it seemed Rumil had other plans.
Rumil reached for the oil again and smelled it once more. “It’s a lovely smell.”
Thranduil did release a growl now. “You smell better. Please?”
Rumil smiled. “Not unless you’re thinking of preparing me.”
Thranduil moaned, reaching his arm to grasp Rumil, who backed away at the last moment. “Too tired. Come here.”
Rumil smirked. “Well, if you are too tired, I suppose you will have to watch.”
He turned on the bed, settling beside the other and smiled when Thranduil instantly grabbed his ankle. He coated his finger and raised his hips, preparing himself.
Thranduil widened his eyes as he saw it happening. As if it wasn’t sexual enough Rumil increased the torture by speaking to him, telling him how great it felt. His grip on the other’s ankle involuntarily tightened and at the same time he tried to move it out of his view.
Rumil smiled, seeing his manipulations worked. He sat up and smiled warmly before easily swinging one leg over his lover and sitting on Thranduil chest. He now returned with three fingers and continued preparing himself. He wondered how he could stretch himself more, for he remembered the pain.
Thranduil was growing hard and he yanked the other closer. The movement surprised Rumil and he fell backwards, his hair fanning over Thranduil’s lower regions. As a result the king bucked and Rumil felt his member move beside his ear, forcing him to buck as well.
Thranduil smirked. “You’re an imp. How do you desire to be taken?” For he would not allow it if it was too much.
Rumil shrugged. “Don’t know. But I want to see your eyes.”
Thranduil nodded. “And I take it you want to be on top?”
Rumil smirked and nodded. “Aye. You need to let go and not make any decisions. At all!”
Thranduil smiled and released his lover’s legs. “I will love that. But I will not give up control to you just yet. I don’t want you to get hurt when it isn’t necessary. Get on your hands and knees, you need to be stretched some more.”
Rumil complied but he locked eyes before Thranduil could move away. “Not like this.”
Thranduil nodded. “I know. You cannot see my eyes, like this. But I would love for you to take me like that once.”
Rumil blushed and was glad the other could not see it. “I suppose you prefer the desk in your study to this comfortable bed?”
Thranduil’s member twitched in anticipation and he moaned. “Where others can walk in on us? See me at your absolute mercy?” He planted a kiss on his lover’s lower back and smiled. “Don’t suggest this unless you intend to do it.”
Rumil cocked his head and surprise lay in his eyes. Suddenly he completely understood. “The knowledge other might enter heightens your pleasure.”
Thranduil nodded. “Aye, Rumil. I am yours, to do with as you please. -When- you please.” Rumil moaned deliriously at that and pushed back.
Thranduil had already inserted three fingers, pleased Rumil could so easily accept them, but now he coated three fingers from his other hand and slowly made them join the others. Rumil tensed beneath him but he kept up the dirty talk, knowing it relaxed him.
He smirked. “I never would have thought you to be like this, meleth.”
Rumil frowned. “Like what? Tight?”
Thranduil laughed. “Well, yes, that too. But I was referring to your sensuality, Rumil, your need and desire. I never thought I would have a lover to meet mine and now I have one that not only does so, but that demands more. I like it.”
Rumil moaned as Thranduil stretched him. “You are making me come with your words and fingers only. How can I ride you for long if you do that?” He looked over his shoulder. “And you don’t even last as long as I do!”
Thranduil smirked. “Well, we shall have to come first than and I might know of a way to make sure you get the long ride you desire. But tell me, would you really take me in my study? Push me on it and take what you want? Hard, rough and thorough?”
Rumil whimpered and pushed back, nodding. “I would take you on the council floor if it pleases you.”
Thranduil could already see it and moaned. “During a meeting? What would they say?”
Rumil licked his lips. “That I’m one horny elf that clearly stakes his claim. Do you mean it?”
“Mean what?”
“That I shouldn’t say this unless I intend to carry it out?” He looked over his shoulder and smiled. “Do you really want me to walk in on a council one day and claim you before all eyes? Do you really wish me to grab you in a corridor and take you as you did me the other day? Would you really enjoy it if I tasted you when we are having a large banquet?”
Rumil’s words were too much and Thranduil came, pushed Rumil down. “You undo me one day, imp.” He kissed him and nodded. “And aye, I would. All that and more. But never expect me to taste you during a banquet.”
Rumil smiled lazily and turned. “Any other forbidden areas? You won’t get a second time to tell me.”
Thranduil smiled and kissed him. “I love you.” He sat up and frowned, thinking. He knew Rumil was serious but that meant he had to give it some serious thought as well. “I am not into pain, Rumil. So never bring out whips and such. If that turns you on please seek another to see to your needs.”
Rumil’s face contorted and he shook his head. “Same goes for you. Yagh! Next?”
Thranduil nodded. “Never during battle or when I need to be alert.”
Rumil pouted. “Nice. First you get me all wound up and fantasising about claiming you in front of your counsellors and then you say I can’t. That’s not fair.”
Thranduil frowned and stood. “Why is that not fair?” He wondered why he didn’t feel exhausted as he had already come twice, but he knew the prospect of being in Rumil had a lot to do with that, not to mention their conversation. If it was enough to make him come, it could certainly keep him aroused.
Rumil smiled and cocked his head, following his lover. “You need to be alert at those meetings.”
Thranduil laughed. “What’s to stop you from temporarily stopping the meeting?” He shrugged. “Besides. Do you really think they will be talking much if you are staking your claim before their eyes? And would you have me crawling on the floor or abuse my thrown?”
Rumil smiled, finally fully realising the other was completely sincere and did want him to take him whenever and wherever he felt like it. He crossed his legs. “Don’t know yet. I shall have to give the matter some thought. Or take you several times.”
Thranduil inhaled deeply as his body reacted to the words. “Are you referring to the amount of meetings you’ll interrupt or that you’ll take me more than once at the interruption?”
Rumil shrugged. “Don’t know. Both?” He wiggled his eyebrows and saw his lover sway.
He cocked his head. “What are you doing? You’re not planning on getting dressed, are you? I still want to ride you. And ride you long.”
Thranduil nodded. “I know. Nay, do you see this woodwork?” Rumil nodded. “It’s a hidden drawer, a large one.” As he spoke he opened it. “I would have had what I need by now, but your dirty words distract me.”
Rumil snorted. “You didn’t mind continuing. What’s in it?” He sat up so he could see and saw many things he hadn’t seen before.
Thranduil smirked. “Toys to play with. Oh, another forbidden for you to remember extremely well. We will not use any of this outside the bedroom.”
Rumil nodded. “If you tell me what that stuff is?” He left the bed, feeling curious.
Thranduil pulled him close and kissed him. “I don’t feel like telling you everything now. But this ointment will heighten your pleasure if you take me, this being the only thing you may use outside the bedroom. And this…” He grabbed a small beltlike object. “This will prevent me from coming too soon.”
He wiggled his eyebrows and stood, closing the drawer. “Come on, I believe you wanted to ride me longer than I was capable of.” Seeing Rumil’s dazzled expression he smiled. “My wife gifted me with most of these things. Come, don’t tell me you no longer find me desirable?”
Thranduil twirled twice and Rumil smiled, his eyes regaining their lust. “Stop that or I’ll paunch you.”
Thranduil laughed and continued. “That’ll be a treat, not a threat.”
Rumil laughed as well and leaped forward, effectively flinging both himself and Thranduil on the bed, where he swiftly straddled him.
“Will you enter?” He didn’t feel comfortable enough to take himself yet and he watched in awe when Thranduil first placed the belt on before he entered him.
“Rumil, as I get closer you have to make it tighter. Do you understand?”
Rumil nodded. “But you won’t get hurt? Pass out?”
Thranduil shook his head. “If you don’t plan to ride for hours I will be fine. And if you let me come.”
Rumil nodded and slowly started moving. He was surprised about the speed he was able to set real soon, riding his lover like mad. Every time he felt the other rub his gland but the pleasure wasn’t enough to make him come. It was a feast for his eyes to see Thranduil buck wantonly. Every touch or caress seemed to lift the other higher and Rumil fully enjoyed the ride.
At some point Thranduil’s pleas became different and he wondered if he should tighten the belt again. There were two more holes, but he was afraid to hurt him. And yet he couldn’t stop this delicious ride. Before he knew it Thranduil came and came hard, shouting his name.
Rumil almost fell of, but remained. Feeling Thranduil’s essence inside him pleased him and made his member twitch as he continued to ride his lover. He didn’t want it to stop yet.
In a daze Thranduil saw and felt Rumil still moving. He was still riding him when he came round enough to be coherent. “I am going to take that bath, whether you are done or not.”
Rumil laughed and fell forward. “I can’t seem to come. You feel so good in me.”
Thranduil smiled. “Well, you need to come, and you need to come now.” He curled his hand over Rumil’s member smiling when the elf trembled and instantly neared his peak. “Now that is interesting to know. You will do a lot of taking, meleth. Being taken just doesn’t make you come.”
He stood, cursing his trembling legs and staggered to the bathroom, though he frowned when Rumil didn’t join him. Seeing the other stand indecisive near the bed, looking at the discarded clothes deepened his frown. “Rumil? Are you joining me or do you merely desire to fuck me and then go separate ways?” The smile that was born on Rumil’s face could rival the sun and Thranduil adored his lover for being his.
Chapter sixty three Boys who love…
Elrond frowned when he saw Thrilmaldur and Erestor whisper. That was not their wont. “Meldir?”
Erestor blushed. “Elrond. We didn’t notice you.”
Elrond nodded. “Obviously. What were you two chatting about? Somehow I doubt it is work.”
Erestor nodded. “You are right. It isn’t. But we can’t tell you.”
Elrond cocked his head, smelling a secret. “Why not? Does it involve my family?” He could read the answer in their eyes and narrowed his own. Who was keeping secrets from him? “Are things going wrong with Elrohir and Orophin? Or Elladan and Elvil? Or has something happened to Elnihir?”
He saw their eyes at the mention of Elladan’s name and he growled. “I do not like secrets, Erestor. Especially in my realm. Now speak! What is wrong? Do not make me go to them. Or wait. I can ask Mel to go.”
Erestor stopped him. “Nay. It’s personal.” He sighed. “Elrond. They want to get intimate.”
Elrond nodded. “Of course they do. And it’s about bloody time. They’re frustrated enough to frustrate my lover. And a frustrated Melpomean isn’t a pleasant Melpomean.” Despite themselves the other two laughed.
Thrilmaldur smiled and spoke next, knowing the other to feel awkward about this. “We told them they could talk to us. They are insecure and both new at it.”
Erestor nodded and his eyes flamed up again. “And no matter what we say they remain afraid to hurt each other.”
Thrilmaldur nodded. “If things go on like this, they won’t be intimate for centuries to come.” He stifled a laugh at Elrond’s horrid look. “So we’ve figured out a solution, but we don’t know how to suggest it to them.”
Elrond narrowed his eyes. “Suggest what?”
Erestor shrugged. “We think it might be best if they watch others make love. Not only would they see the basic skills are more than adequate to fulfil their needs, they would also see there’s no pain involved.”
Elrond blinked but he could understand. “But it will be best to have them watch separately.” He smirked. “You might have to perform twice, my friends.”
Thrilmaldur shook his head and ignored his lover’s look. “Not necessarily, my lord.” He sighed. “Elladan will have no troubles watching us, but Elvil is another matter. He doesn’t know me enough to feel comfortable around me. We suspect he would be sitting there with his eyes closed, feeling like an intruder.”
Elrond had to agree they were right. “And having only Elladan watch in on others isn’t enough?”
Erestor shook his head. “Nay. It wouldn’t take away Elvil’s fear.” He suddenly blushed. How could they have thought of this? They couldn’t be asking him this?
Elrond cocked his head. “Then what pair do you have in mind? You will have to get them to agree? Glorfindel and Ecthelion?”
Thrilmaldur shook his head. “Nay. Ecthelion is his hero now. It wouldn’t be wise. I was thinking of you and Melpomean. If you wouldn’t mind?”
Elrond gasped and staggered back. He instantly felt Melpomean’s concern and he reached out to his love, soothing him as well as soothing himself. Not long after Melpomean materialised. “They suggest what?”
Erestor nodded and looked at Melpomean. “It would be best if Elladan watches us and Elvil you two. We would… ehm… educate them both but….”
Melpomean closed his eyes, knowing they were right. He looked at Elrond. “But Elvil sees Elrond as his father.”
Erestor nodded. “But you have to agree Elvil is a special case. Elladan would be freaked out just by the idea but Elvil will be soothed by it. The two of you he trust unconditionally.”
Melpomean looked at Elrond and smiled. He wouldn’t mind, but in the end it was Elrond’s decision.
Elrond nodded. “He may watch you take me.” He looked at Erestor. “But you are the ones who thought of this so you will be the ones making the suggestion.” He stood and groaned. “When did my life get so complicated?”
Melpomean held him close and smiled. “Since you allowed me to enter your realm. Now come, Elnihir is waiting for you.”
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Celeborn smiled as he saw Lindir walk inside. “You’re early today.”
Lindir shrugged. “As we’d both be sitting alone otherwise I didn’t see the point in waiting.”
Celeborn nodded and poured them both a drink. “And with what will you please me tonight? A ballad, a history, a weave of enchantment or a love song perhaps?”
Lindir smiled and allowed his eyes to roam the other’s body. Celeborn smiled as he felt it.
`Galadriel, hear me.` He instantly sensed her presence in his mind. `Tell me. Have you set me up?`
`Whatever makes you say that?` But he could sense her joy and hope.
He smiled. `Only the fact you never accept their invitation and now you do, while making sure Lindir keeps me company. I saw the looks he’s been giving me, haven’t you?` He sensed her surprise and smiled, realising she hadn’t. `Then why?`
`Because I want to see you happy. There are things not even I can give you. Do not worry and enjoy it. He will take good care of you.`
`But you do not wish to see it.`
Sadness entered his mind and she reached out to soothe him. `I would come by watching you alone, but I want you to fully enjoy it and that will only happen if he isn’t hindered by my presence.`
He smiled, realising she had left out of love. `I love you, Driel. How did you know?`
`You called for him once. And you know me.`
Celeborn laughed and nodded. “Aye, Driel, I know you.”
He turned and smiled at Lindir’s puzzled look. “Galadriel and I can always communicate over fast distances.” He cocked his head. “She left three days ago. Did you reconsidered her request since then?”
Lindir goggled at him. How could Celeborn know?
He smiled and started to undress. “I know my wife very well, Lindir, as well as she knows me. There are no secrets between us.” Now he was naked and stood before the other, seeing the arousal Lindir was desperate trying to hide. “Do you really desire to possess this, Lindir? Or will you be content by singing for me?”
He took a step closer and smiled. “Am I throwing you of balance, Lindir?” He nodded. “Aye, I am, aren’t I? You never expected for me to know or to make this move. But you see, Lindir. I never was one for waiting too long.”
Lindir crawled backwards. “My lord. You cannot, I mean…. There’s no….”
Celeborn laughed and touched his body, forcing Lindir’s breathing to speed up. “If you really do not desire this, Lindir, I will not hold it against you if you leave my talan. That would be perfectly understandable and I shall keep my distance from you for the duration of your stay.” He smiled and turned, took a few steps before he looked over his shoulder. “My bedroom is that way.”
He waited but Lindir never showed. /What is wrong with him? What is wrong with me? I can get everyone together but I can’t get an elf into my bed?/
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Lindir was thoroughly confused. He had agreed to Galadriel’s offer and he had wanted it, he still wanted it, but now… After seeing Celeborn naked for that first time, standing before him he realised it was indeed nothing. His tears came freely. /I am nothing to him./
He heard someone approach and swiftly hid between the bushes. His eyes widened when he saw Celeborn walk past, carrying a towel.
Suddenly the ruler released a small growl and turned. “That’s far enough Haldir. Return to your duties. Nay, I do not wish to bathe under the scrutiny of your eyes.” Celeborn waited for the other to be gone before he continued his road.
Lindir couldn’t stop himself. he followed. Once more he saw Celeborn undress himself, but this time without any seduction on mind. He hardened instantly and cursed himself again. /How could I have said no to that?/
/Because you want more than one wild fling./
/But he belongs to Galadriel in heart and soul./
/But they could also belong to you, if you’d share him./
He shook his head and focused on the bathing lord.
Celeborn was done rather swift and exited the lake. He didn’t get dressed but started pleasuring himself. He could smell Lindir’s arousal and hoped the other was tempted enough to join him. But that wasn’t the case. They came simultaneously, but separated by the bushes.
Celeborn glared but lowered his temper before standing. “I know you’re there, Lindir. I smelled you. I smelled your arousal and I smelled you coming. Stop hiding!” He could hear the breathing and knew Lindir would have bolted had he had the breath to do so. “Lindir, please tell me what is wrong? You desire me, yet you stay at bay. Please tell me why? Do you really wish to spend your time here admiring me when you can do so much more? Please?”
Lindir stood, knowing he couldn’t leave now.
Celeborn’s look was one of genuine interest. “Lindir, how do I manage to push you away? It is clear you want this to happen as much as I do.”
Lindir’s eyes suddenly filled with fire and he looked at him. “Oh, yeah?” The fire suddenly left and he shook his head. “Not as much as you do, but more.” He turned and walked away, allowing his tears to fall.
He was so absorbed in his pain he didn’t hear Celeborn closing in, but before he had reached the first trees the other had a tight hold on his wrist, forcing him to turn and face him. “Lindir? What are you trying to say? If you desire this even more than why don’t you act upon it? Why deny yourself, us, this pleasure?”
Lindir sighed and wiped angrily at his tears. “Because I want it to be more. Because I cannot do this, go home and forget it.”
Celeborn frowned. “I am not asking you to forget it. Neither will I.”
Lindir snorted. “But that’s all it’ll be. A memory. Never more. How can it?”
Celeborn gasped as he understood. “You love me?” Galadriel hadn’t mentioned that and he quickly reached out to make sure.
Miles away Galadriel was as shocked as he was. `But I told him to back out should he not be able to do this. I do not wish for his heart to ache.`
Celeborn forced his tears inside and applied small force to pull Lindir towards the lake. `What do we do? I cannot take him in our bed if it will hurt him.`
She didn’t reply and he grew worried. “Driel?” Lindir looked at him in shock and he realised he had spoken. “Come, sit down and gather your strength.”
He gasped when he felt Galadriel in his mind again. `I think I have a solution to this problem, if you agree. If he agrees.`
`Driel!`
`Make him your permanent lover. I am secure in your love for me, but as I said there are things I cannot give you. He can. He loves you and you can make him happy.`
Celeborn sighed. `Galadriel, my wife. I do not think I can bed him, even if it were to become a relationship. You know what happens when one makes love. A bond is created.`
`But that only happens… … … oh. You mean….`
`Yes, I do. For a long time.`
`I never realised.`
`Because I didn’t want you to worry and I didn’t want us to become mad over nothing.`
`Nothing!` Celeborn flinched, feeling her hatred. `Perhaps I need to cut this visit short, come home and knock some sense into you. I do not see the problem here. He loves you and you just tell me you love. And I suggested… And… and….`
She was furious and Celeborn shivered. `Driel, I didn’t mean to fall in love with him, but I did. And aye, I desire what he can give me, but I will not….`
`Shut up! And don’t tell me you love him. Tell him! Celeborn, you oaf. Don’t you know I shall never love you less. I can share you with him.`
After a while she entered his mind again. `Look, don’t feel so shocked. Turn the tables around. Suppose it were me and another woman. What would you do?`
`I would welcome her. If she brings you happiness. But Driel, you make me happy, extremely happy, and..`
`And I know that. But your happiness can grow through him. And thus my happiness. Just think about it, my love.`
Haldir wondered how to do his lady’s bidding and he went to his best friend, knowing she would know what to do. And she did.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Celeborn leaned back and smiled, finally having accepted his life was about to change and willing to accept those changes. Lindir didn’t move and relaxed more with each minute.
Suddenly Celeborn opened his eyes and Lindir’s high-pitched scream sounded. He flared up instantly, seeing Lindir’s head disappear under water. He twirled round and his eyes narrowed seeing Haldir swiftly run away.
The warrior turned and looked apologetic. “Your lady made me.”
Celeborn released a growl but was pulled back to Lindir’s predicament when he heard the water being splashed. “Help. My foot is stuck.” Celeborn didn’t waste time and instantly dove beneath the surfaces, swiftly freeing Lindir’s foot.
He assisted Lindir in getting on dry land again and then proceeded to remove the wet clothes. He didn’t dwell on the other’s body but wrapped him in one of his towels. “Are you all right? Is it strained?”
Lindir smiled at the care and concern and almost whished he had been injured. “Nay. I am fine. Thank you, lord Celeborn.”
Celeborn smiled. “Just Celeborn. You’d never have to call me lord again.” He took Lindir’s face between his hands and closed the distance, delivering a soft kiss on his lips. “I am sorry for rushing you like that. We should take things slow. After all, we have all the time in the world to get intimate.” He was unprepared for the slap and watched in surprise, shock and fear as Lindir ran away, clutching the towel close to his body. “Lindir!”
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Elrond growled. “I still do not know if this is wise. And what is happening in Lórien? I can practically feel Galadriel’s anger.”
Melpomean embraced his lover, knowing from personal experience the ruler needed to vent his frustration before he could distance himself. “I know not. But they will tell us if it’s bad, wouldn’t they?”
Elrond sighed and nodded, turning in the embrace to face his lover. “Aye. You are right.” He smiled adoringly at him. “I love you.”
Melpomean grinned and tightened his embrace rubbing his abdomen at Elrond’s. “Will you take me? Make me yours again?”
Elrond moaned and nodded. “Take yourself?”
Melpomean shook his head. “Nay. I want you to be on top. Soon you will have to suffer as I lecture Elvil. You know I am thorough in my lectures.”
Elrond swayed and started panting. “Ai, what will you teach him, I wonder.”
Melpomean smiled. “Only one thing. How to give his lover extreme bliss repeatedly.”
Elrond pulled back. “I have no intentions of having a voyeur more than once!”
Melpomean nodded. “Me neither but I do need to tell him something about the number of positions at his disposal. And that he can take his lover but can also be taken, and what about blowjobs?”
Elrond cocked his head. “Just how many times do you expect me to come with my son watching?”
“Your foster son. I don’t know. Depends.”
For some reason that answer made Elrond tremble. “On what?”
Melpomean smiled and declined on the bed. “On Elvil’s desire to learn and on you. If you cannot forget his presence I will not do what I have in mind.”
Elrond cocked his head. “And what would that be?” He sat up and crossed his arms. “If you desire to be taken now, you answer me. I am still your lord.”
Melpomean laughed and pulled Elrond closer. “I intend to show Elvil precisely how to please a Peredhel and how long they’ll last.”
Elrond growled. “I last longer than Elladan. I’ve got experience.”
Melpomean smiled. “You’re also a lot older and it is a common fact youngsters have more stamina.”
Elrond opened his mouth to counter him but closed it instantly. “This is not working, meleth.”
Melpomean shrugged. “Pity. But you’ll enjoy it. I promise you that. If you don’t…” He kissed him. “Well, then he will have to leave.”
Thranduil roared with laughter when Makaik entered the dining hall, his hair the brightest red he’s ever seen.
The elf sat down and glared. “Daiz is impossible! Why does he pick on me?”
Thranduil’s eyes glistened with mirth and he stood when Daiz entered, talking amicably with Rumil. “Where have you been?”
Rumil blushed and hastily sat down. “Daiz showed me the market.”
Makaik groaned. “No more! Daiz, I swear I will hunt you down if you pull another prank on me. Where do you get them anyway?”
Thranduil rolled his eyes. “I guess it is too much to hope you will grow up?” He shrugged. “Oh, well, Legolas and Joreb did, so two out of four is something.”
Daiz gave some mock shock sounds and smiled. “I am only making Rumil feel at home, adar. You know that. And I’d rather pull pranks with him than become his victim.”
Makaik glared at them both and Rumil backed away.
Thranduil sighed. “Enough! Makaik, if you cannot behave, I will send you away.”
“But adar, they make it impossible for me to carry out your duties. Look at me: my hair is red and yesterday I had to walk home naked for someone…” and he glared at Daiz “…had stolen my clothes and towels.”
Joreb widened his eyes. “But Daiz was with me the entire day.” He gasped, realising what had happened, knowing full well he had just risked his father’s wrath.
He knew only one way to avoid that. “Tell me, adar. Did you suffer as well?”
Thranduil’s eyes sparkled as he nodded. “I walked around with blue and purple hair, got drenched in ice-water, had to walk around naked, found itching powder in my clothes and everything else that has happened to your brother happened to me.”
Makaik’s eyes widened and he looked at Rumil as if he were an apparition. “And father didn’t kill you?”
Thranduil once more roared with laughter. “As you see. Have you replied your brother’s letter yet?”
Makaik nodded, his eyes turning warm and happy. “Now that is one aspect of your job I -do- like. Our Legolas sounds happy.”
Silince smiled. “Of course he is. He gets to teach and thus improve his own skills. How long has he been there?”
Joreb put down his utensils and shrugged. “A few years. He’ll visit on the way to Rohan and he thinks that’ll be in about eight years.”
Thranduil cocked his head. “There’s worry in your eyes. What is it?”
Joreb sighed and shrugged again. “I just find it odd he never goes to Imladris anymore. According to Elrond he always thanks them for inviting him but he always declines. Elrond asked me if it is true and Legolas really is too busy.”
Thranduil narrowed his eyes. “I wonder why? I know Legolas can go if he desires so…. Why doesn’t he? He adored the little one.” He closed his eyes. “Keep me informed and we shall see what we can wiggle out of him when he visits. Come, Rumil, we are riding to Dale today.”
Rumil jumped up, looking forward to being on a horse again.
Makaik grinned. “Hé, Rumil?” He smiled and forced his face to be innocent. “Could you manage to dye adar’s hair again? I would love to see that!” He ducked to avoid the pillow his father threw his way and laughed.
Rumil hastily followed the ruler out.
Joreb cocked his head and studied his brothers. “Shouldn’t you go with them, Daiz?”
Daiz shook his head. “Nay. I’d only be the third wheel. We’ll talk and hair dye later. Come, Makaik, let me help you wash your hair for real.”
Makaik nodded; he did want to get rid of the red.
Elvil sighed and tightened his hold on his lover’s hand.
Elladan hissed and wormed, trying to get his hand some level of freedom. “Elvil, you’re breaking it.” Elvil’s eyes settled on him and he could see the trepidation in them and he pulled him closer. “I am here and I am sure there’s nothing wrong.”
“But then why doesn’t adar come back? He never lasts that long?”
Elladan shrugged. “Perhaps Melpomean transported him? I never knew your medallion was that powerful.”
Elvil laughed. “It connects to all magic, Elladan. But Melpomean must be magical of his own in order to tap into it so easily. Did you see what he did to the Bruinen yesterday?”
Elladan nodded, resting his head on Elvil’s shoulder. “And what about last week… We were in a meeting with Dwarves when he suddenly appeared. Some thought he was a Vala.” He laughed warmly.
Elrond shook his head as he walked back in. “I am sorry it took a little longer, Elvil, but I have news for you. Your body has now fully matured and you are fifty five years old. I do not expect more boosts, but you never know.”
Elvil jumped up and screamed.
Elladan groaned. “Can’t you tell him anything else?”
Elrond laughed. “You have to confirm your love sooner or later, ion, and Elvil is the best for you.”
Elvil raced out, intent on sharing the news with Elnihir, but suddenly stopped and turned. “What’s wrong with Elnihir? He’s so silent lately. Is it because of me?”
Elrond shook his head. “Nay. His birthday is coming up and…”
Elladan growled, standing. “Don’t tell me he declined? Again?”
Elrond shrugged and nodded, his eyes sad. “I am grateful Melpomean and Onardodya keep him occupied, but around his birthday nothing works.” He walked to the window. “Thranduil wrote they’ll keep an eye on Legolas, but that it might be best if they don’t come for the festivities. Given the circumstances he fears their presence might be adding to Elnihir’s pain.” He smiled. Things between the two realms have completely changed and he was grateful. He turned and marched out.
Elladan shrugged and pulled Elvil close. “Do you want to find him?”
Elvil shook his head. “Nay. He’ll be riding his horse now. He spends every free minute with his mare.”
Elladan nodded. “She adores him for it. I doubt she will allow anyone else to even walk her later.”
Together they walked through the corridors.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Onardodya cocked her head and smiled. Even though Elnihir carried a great pain he never showed it and every year his birthday didn’t pain him as much as the year before.
She waved at him and he screamed happy, motioning his mare to go faster.
He loved riding swift and fast. He wished he would be able to ride the valley but his grandfather had forbidden him to ride alone for some more years. So instead he had found a way to be on his horse often without leaving the paddock.
He had created another practising area and was now daily working with her, learning how to shoot from her back just as accurately as he does on the ground.
At first everyone looked at him with funny eyes but Elrond himself had encouraged it and Glorfindel and Ecthelion were now working on learning as well, a movement that inspired all archers to do the same.
Elnihir stopped his practise and made his mare walk towards Onardodya.
She frowned when she noticed he hadn’t uttered a word, nor had he moved his legs.
His smile grew when he saw Elrond walking towards him. “Ata’da! Did you see? I can shoot repeatedly now. I only have to hit the centre now.”
Elrond laughed and shook his head. “I am sorry I missed it.” He rubbed the mare’s nose. “Do not practise tomorrow, Elnihir. I want to take you for a wild, wild ride.”
Elnihir jumped off and into his grandfather’s arms, releasing his joyous sounds.
Elrond laughed. His eyebrows went up at noticing Onardodya’s expression.
She shrugged. “I was just wondering how it’s possible to manoeuvre a horse without speaking. I know you can communicate with them, but still this seems odd.”
Elrond laughed warmly and hugged Elnihir close. “He and Anta communicate on a different level. When he’s on her their minds become linked and so they move as one. I’ve not seen someone do that in a long time though.”
Elnihir shrugged. “We like it and it’s not like we’re going to see war, is it?” He knew being linked with your horse had a downside as well as an upside and it battle the downside: feeling each other’s pains and fears, often outweighed the speed and flexibility.
Elrond shook his head. “Nay. You’re not. Come, take your mare inside and then go to the library. Melpomean wants to continue his lessons. If you’re not there within half an hour he’ll find you.”
Elnihir grinned and his wicked expression already told them he would dally on purpose. But Melpomean always made a spectacle out of finding the little hide-away, making it funny for both of them, especially now that he had discovered and fully mastered his powers.

Galadriel smiled as she stared out over the trees. She closed her eyes and allowed the peaceful sounds sooth and caress her. She heard her love enter but didn’t respond.
Celeborn remained silent, seeing her reconnect to their realm. He sat down on the bed and stretched. He felt strained, physically, emotionally and mentally strained. Last week awful crimes had taken place and he had to lead the investigation and punish the culprits. It had taken its toll on his mind and soul.
Galadriel frowned when she sensed his tiredness and opened her eyes as she turned to take a good look at him. She swiftly crossed the distance to join him on the bed. “Beloved? What has strained you?”
He shook his head. “I do not wish to talk about it. I just need to rest a while. Watch over me?”
The vulnerability in his eyes took her aback and the trust in his words and actions made her heart pound faster. /How is it possible to love him more than I already do? And yet that is what’s happening./ Smiling she placed a kiss on his cheek. “Always.”
He smiled as she assisted him to lay down. With her caressing his hair he fell tightly asleep.
After a few moment his peaceful sleep was disturbed as a nightmare assaulted him and Galadriel grew worried. She knew he only suffered them after battles, when he had ended lives. Soothing him didn’t work and she ran out the door.
The soldier on duty startled but hid it well and she inwardly smiled at his skill. “I want my herbs and fetch our chief counsellor. Now!” She briskly turned and sat on the bedside, continuing soothing him. She knew from experience it wouldn’t help much, but she refused to leave his side.
Within minutes the soldier had returned and handed her the herbs. She smiled and selected the ones she needed. She told the soldier to have the counsellor wait. After turning the herbs into dust she blew it at her sleeping husband and waited for him to calm down.
Only then did she stand and address the warrior, who had taken up position near the door, worry evident on his face. She smiled at seeing it. “Watch him well and let me know the moment he either wakes or suffers another nightmare.” The soldier nodded and she felt relieved enough to leave the room and talk to the counsellor. What she learned wasn’t pleasant.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Celeborn groaned as he woke up and frowned at seeing the clammy sheets and clothes. His hair felt extremely damp as well. “Driel?”
“Sssss, I am here. Come.” Galadriel had only just returned. Her anger had needed a way out first and now she felt balanced enough to assist him. The soldier was under strict orders not to disturb them.
Celeborn sighed contented when Galadriel forced him to leave the bed and settle in the fluffy corner. He grinned. It was a collection of pillows that rested together in one corner of their room. His favourite resting place. And even though Galadriel had expressed a great dislike towards it, she never demanded it removed or loved him less. In fact, whenever he was upset or unbalanced she always steered him there.
He sighed when he felt the many pillows around him and he looked at her. Without words she peeled off her robe and settled beside him. Only now did Celeborn realise she had already removed his clothes and he smiled giddily.
“You are too soft at heart and at times like these it shows.” He looked at her stunned and she smiled. “Aye, I know. You know I cannot sit and do nothing when you suffer. You did what you had to do. None will blame you for taking this action. Do not blame yourself.” Her eyes became determined. “I will not let this one haunt your sleep.”
Celeborn was rendered speechless when she kissed him demandingly and possessively. Under her skilled hands he soon was achingly hard and needy. He rested his head on her shoulder, caressing her closeness and her love.
He moaned when she guided him inside her and dictated the pace.
Galadriel smiled at the effects her control had on him. Even though she loved it when he was driving her mad at some times Celeborn needed to give up control. Suddenly she smirked and her hand travelled downwards. She grinned when he gasped in disbelief when she used her finger to enter him. Sounds of delighted pleasure soon erupted from him as she made her movements mirror the trusts.
The rapture in his movements and eyes took even her aback when she found his gland and rubbed it. She had never known a male could be pleased in such a way. But what surprised her more was his obvious thrill and feeling him pushing back, begging for more. /Perhaps he would love this side of lovemaking? Should I bring another to our bed? But who would be able to pleasure him and keep silent? And not get hurt?/ If this was what he sometimes needed to really let go and it seemed he did need it, she would make sure he had it. But she knew his love for her was too strong to allow a third and she didn’t want this third elf to be injured in heart, soul or mind.
He soon came but the name on his lips wasn’t hers, giving her the answer she needed.
Celeborn came round from this sensory overload and he enjoyed inhaling his wife’s scent, allowing him to find reverie sooner. He hadn’t even realised his mistake.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Thranduil kept a close eye on his charge as they walked through the streets of Dale. Even though this village wasn’t hostile it was best to keep your guard up.
Rumil had enjoyed the fast ride and was now goggling at the people of Dale. He remained close to the king. He could see the mortals laughing at his doubt, but he had never walked on water before and suspected to fall through the wood any given moment. With every wave that passed beneath he held his breath.
Thranduil slowly steered him through the streets and smiled when he saw some cloth he knew Silinde would love. “Just a moment, Rumil.” He entered the seamstress’ house and smiled warmly, feasting his eyes on her skill. “I’ve been away too long.”
The female smiled and curtsied, recognizing the elven king. “Greetings, Thranduil King. Thank you for your kind compliment. Elven company is always a joy.”
Thranduil smiled and pointed to the cloth. “How much do you ask for that?” He nodded when he heard the price. In his opinion it was too low but he would rectify that by giving her a large tip.
His eyes now caught more cloth and he narrowed his eyes as he approached. How was it possible to get it to shine like that in the shade?
The female rushed to assist him and held it out, stunning him further.
“You show elven skills, lady. And your prices are too low.”
She blushed at the compliment. “Thank you, sire. And I cannot ask more for they would not pay it and I cannot afford to sell nothing.”
He rubbed his nose. “Do you desire to remain?”
She widened her eyes, not sure she understood. “Sire?”
He grinned, realising he had overwhelmed her. “I would like for you to teach Mirkwood’s seamstresses your skills. And perhaps you can set up shop there?”
Her eyes glistened. She had always wanted to be amongst the elves and there was nothing keeping her here. “How much would I have to pay for rent? And food?”
Thranduil shook his head. “If you eat at the common place it is free, provided you do your share of cooking, cleaning and so on. And as you would be a teacher you would receive lodgings in the weaver’s house.”
She waved her hand around. “I do want to bring all this.”
He nodded in understanding. “Including your machines, I suppose. I shall send elves to help you move and make sure you don’t get lost. There are still some dangerous parts in the forest.”
She smiled and felt herself extremely lucky. “I am honoured, sire. I can be ready in two days.”
He nodded. “They will be here. And here, for your present expenses.”
She blushed and curtsied again as he left with his purchases.
He widened his eyes when he saw Rumil clutching a pole. He swiftly approached. “Rumil? What is wrong?”
The elf locked eyes and Thranduil could read the panic and fear in them.
An old male pushed him aside and kneeled beside the frightened Rumil. “Here, suck.” His voice sounded as though comforting a child. “Do not be afraid. It was just water. The village isn’t going down. Suck, it will help you relax. You do not want to stay here the rest of the day, do you?”
That did it and Rumil sucked.
Thranduil cocked his head. “What happened?”
The mortal turned and blushed, realising he had just shoved the elven king aside. “Sometimes the water comes through those holes. We collect it in the barrels beside it. Your friend didn’t expect it and got frightened. I guess he’s not one for water.”
He stood and smiled. “I am the old healer, only on duty when the other one can’t handle it. I happened to be standing next to him. The root will soothe him and help him relax, but I advice you to take him to solid ground.”
Thranduil nodded. “How’s the fishing going?”
The male shrugged. “Not very well. If we hadn’t been growing seeds on the land we’d starve this winter. Some say we’ve emptied the lake.”
Thranduil shook his head. “Impossible. You respect nature and don’t take more than you need and I’ve seen you throw the young ones back. Nay, they are here. Perhaps you need new bait?”
The man grinned and left, waving.
Rumil struggled up and nearly fell down again as another wave made the street shake. “How can they walk like this?”
Thranduil laughed and supported him. “Come, to the horses. And I think they are unsteady on the legs on dry land, Rumil. They’re used to this. I am sorry I took so long.”
Rumil shook his head, feeling better now that Thranduil was there, making sure he remained on his feet. He couldn’t help screaming in joy when he stood on solid ground again. “Never again will I set foot in Dale. Ever!”
Thranduil whistled and the horses ran towards them. “Come, help me pack this. We’ll go home and deliver this and then we might go for another wild ride.”
Rumil’s eyes lit up and nodded eagerly. “It’s different riding here than in Lothlórien. There are true paths here where you can go real fast. I like that.”
Thranduil smiled warmly and mounted. “I am glad Mirkwood pleases you this much.” His eyes took on a mischievous glance. “I think I just found a new prank.” Rumil looked at him but he shook his head. “I am not telling you. That’s like giving an orc a bow and arrow.”
Rumil laughed warmly. “I will find out.”

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Legolas inhaled the smells of his realm and smiled. He stepped closer and spoke up. “Don’t you miss your brothers, Rumil?”
If Rumil was surprised to hear his voice he didn’t show it. Instead he elegantly walked to stand beside him, a smile gracing his features. “With your brothers around?”
Seeing Legolas look at him seriously he sighed and nodded. “Aye, I miss them. And Galadriel and Celeborn. How can I not? But this realm hardly gives me time to feel homesick or melancholic.”
Legolas smiled. “I am glad to hear it.” He cocked his head. “Any ideas when you are returning?”
Rumil widened his eyes. “That eager to get rid of me?”
Legolas shook his head and his posture became even more serious. “Nay. I just know your departure will cause heartache.”
Rumil’s eyes misted over and a hopeful look entered them. He sighed. “I could never stay away long. My heart wouldn’t let me.”
Hearing these words made Legolas smile. Perhaps there was hope? “So someone captured your heart? Who? Just don’t say it’s Joreb or Silinde. They are hopelessly in love with each other and there’s no room for a third person.”
Rumil laughed warmly and shook his head. “Nay. Not them.”
He sat down, still smirking. “Do you know Thranduil walked in on them last month?” He laughed, seeing the ruler’s flustered face before him again. “He entered his study and found them at it.” He shook his head. “You should have seen his eyes, Legolas. And I only saw them minutes afterwards. He didn’t look where he was going and knocked me to the ground again.”
Legolas raised his eyebrows. “Again?”
Rumil shrugged. “He did that often in Imladris. And it still happens here from time to time.”
Legolas noticed his tone and narrowed his eyes. /How come my siblings don’t notice?/ He smiled. “You seem extremely fond of my father.” Seeing the eyes become guarded he knew he had struck gold. “Tell me, does he hold your heart?”
Rumil blushed and desperately looked for a way out. He shook his head, but couldn’t look Legolas in the eyes.
Legolas laughed and stood. “See you later.” He ran away and didn’t knock as he entered the study.
Joreb and Thranduil looked up, blushing. “See, I told you so.”
Joreb shook his head. “Really, Legolas. How can we throw you a surprise party if you keep interrupting our talks?”
Thranduil laughed and stood, embracing his son. “And once more you entered because of something else, didn’t you?”
Legolas nodded. “I am sorry. I shall pretend to know nothing.”
Joreb snorted but held his tongue.
Legolas leaned against his father. “Perhaps you should invite Celeborn for a visit?”
Thranduil cocked his head and looked at Joreb who nodded. He too had heard that undercurrent that usually meant his little brother had an ulterior motive for asking this. “Legolas, why would we? Rumil isn’t feeling homesick and Celeborn and Galadriel are coming to celebrate the solstice.”
Legolas sighed. “It’s just that Rumil is in love and I thought Celeborn would welcome the change to meddle.”
Joreb yelped as he fell of his chair in shock. That he hadn’t expected to hear. Because of his antics both he and Legolas failed to notice Thranduil’s temporal pale complexion.
Joreb stood and smirked. “Who with? Silinde can help bring them together.”
Legolas shook his head but Joreb was having none of that. He needed to know and he wiggled his eyebrows before he launched a tickle attack on his youngest brother.
Legolas’ laughter sounded through the room along with his pleas for help.
Thranduil crossed his arms and remained at a safe distance. He wouldn’t aid his son now, for he yearned to hear the answer too.
Joreb wondered why his father didn’t intervene but smirked, seeing the green eyes carry hope and jealousy. /How could I have been so blind? But what if Rumil’s in love with another? But who? He spends most of his time with adar./ That gave him the security to continue his attack.
The door opened and Thranduil’s other children looked on in amazement. Daiz was about to mix in but held back when he saw his father’s glare. “What’s going on here?”
Makaik shrugged but also kept a safe distance from both his siblings and his father.
Joreb held Legolas to the floor with his knee and pinned the arms above their heads. “Well, I can go on forever. Who is it? A name, Legolas.” The denial was hard to hear through the laughter and Joreb shrugged. “Suit yourself.” He doubled the assault easily and Legolas’ squirming didn’t aid the young prince to get away.
“All right. Adar. It’s adar. Stop it. stop it.”
Joreb stopped, but not because he had won. Surprise and shock, that’s what he felt. Even though he had half expected and hoped to hear this, it didn’t prevent the blow from hitting home when he actually heard it. He sat back stabbed.
Daiz and Makaik looked at each other, at their father, noticing his surprised, shocked and pleased look, and at their siblings. “Can someone please tell us what is going on here? Legolas, what’s the matter with adar?”
Makaik screamed in shock when he was suddenly roughly pushed aside. “Adar?” He shook his head and stood, hanging on to his dignity. “What in Varda’s name is happening?”
Joreb’s uncontrolled laughter made him jump and shake his head again. “Daiz, they’re beginning to scare me.”
Daiz nodded. “Aye. Legolas?”
Legolas sat up and shook his head. “Rumil.” He was still catching his breath.
Daiz and Makaik looked at each other and their faces cleared when they realised the truth simultaneously. “Adar and Rumil. Who would have thought?” They hugged each other and danced around. “This we need to celebrate.”
Thranduil was surprised to find Rumil packing hurriedly. “Rumil?”
The elf twirled round and smiled. “I have to go to Lothlórien. They need me.”
Thranduil shook his head. “We’ve received word only yesterday. And they are coming here for the solstice. Why are you running away?”
Rumil ignored him and continued packing. “Please don’t ask me. I have to go.”
Thranduil nodded. “If you must. I shall lead your escort myself.” Seeing Rumil’s shocked look his eyes and posture became one of authority. “I am king here, Rumil. And I will not allow you to travel alone. I need to know you safe.”
Rumil shook his head and did his best not to shudder. “Nay. You cannot leave your realm. Some soldiers are more than enough. I can travel swifter that way.”
Thranduil narrowed his eyes. “You are running away from me than. Did I offend you? If so, I apologize.”
Rumil smiled. He couldn’t help looking at the other with affection. “Nay. You did nothing.”
He turned and grabbed some more clothes. The material felt smooth and he smiled. Thranduil had it made for him a year ago and he cherished it. Although many more had followed this one remained special.
Thranduil walked forward, cornering the other. “I did nothing? I must apologize then. And rectify the mistake.”
Hearing this and feeling Thranduil’s body behind him made Rumil twirl around and his eyes widened.
Thranduil smiled. “Joreb is extremely skilled in making his brothers tell him things. Legolas is still catching his breath.” He reached out and caressed the other’s hair. “I never realised until then.”
Rumil narrowed his eyes. He wasn’t sure what the other was saying but he wouldn’t hear a rejection. “Do not worry. Would you let me continue packing? I can be on my way in an hour.”
Thranduil shook his head and closed the distance further, pressing his body to Rumil’s. He smiled at the other’s response to his closeness. “I realised I don’t want to lose you to anything.” He moved his hips forward. “And you love me back. All this time you loved me back.” He ignored Rumil’s puzzled look and claimed his lips, showing him how he felt.
Rumil dropped the clothes he was holding and responded as soon as he could see the honesty in the other’s eyes. This was real, this wasn’t to make him feel better, this was real, very real. His body was humming and responding to the kiss. He needed and wanted more than this, much, much more.
Thranduil felt it too. He pulled back and wanted to walk to the bed, but he remained motionless. Rumil’s flustered face kept him captivated.
Rumil started removing their clothes and that fired him up. But rational thought hadn’t left him yet. “No. We should move to the bed.”
Rumil shook his head. “Now. I need you now.”
Thranduil kissed him again and trembled against his new lover, who was eagerly working on their clothes. When they were finally naked Thranduil pulled back and devoured the elf before him with his eyes, knowing Rumil did the same.
He looked around for some sort of oil but Rumil’s hand suddenly locked around his member and he fell forward, not at all prepared for that movement and the sensation it produced. Feeling Rumil lick his fingers he grinned and complied.
When Rumil stopped he started preparing his lover and he felt Rumil spread his precome over his flesh, preparing him.
Rumil briefly wondered if he should tell Thranduil he was untouched, but he was too enraptured to care and he knew any pain he might feel would be nice. After all, his brother Orophin couldn’t get enough of it with his lover.
He locked his legs around Thranduil and clung to the other. His body demanded more. He nodded when Thranduil asked him if he was ready.
But instead of extreme joy he only felt extreme pain. It was like he was being ripped apart. How could his brother yearn for this? Or did Orophin enjoy pain?
Thranduil slowly entered his lover but stilled when he felt the body tense. He saw the expression of great pain and the tears well up in his lovers eyes. /A virgin./ He stilled the growl that wanted to escape him. what was it with him and virgins?
He pulled his love close and kissed him, trying to make up for the pain. He hated himself for not insisting they move to the bed, where he could have made it less painful.
“Rumil, you need to relax. Why didn’t you tell me? This is not the best position for a first timer.” He caressed him and fired up his kisses. “Oh, Rumil.”
The pain and guilt in Thranduil’s voice touched Rumil. It made him realise it wasn’t supposed to hurt this much. He closed his eyes and tried to focus on the caresses and the kisses.
Thranduil noticed and intensified them. He would do everything to make this as pleasurable for Rumil as possible and he really hated himself for being so blind to the signs. Signs he now, in retrospect, could clearly read.
Feeling Rumil relax he smiled but didn’t move yet. Rumil still had to get used to the invasive feeling.
Rumil now felt good enough to claim the other’s lips and he involuntarily pulled the other closer, needing to feel his body to his own. In doing so he also forced Thranduil to push inside, more than the king had intended and pain washed over him again.
Thranduil kept soothing and kissing him. “Just a little more. Focus on the kiss, Rumil. Please.”
Rumil did so but didn’t close his eyes. If he did the pain in his abdomen would take control and he didn’t want to be the reason for them to stop. But he still didn’t see how Orophin could enjoy this? But perhaps his brother had Thranduil’s role and had never realised he was hurting Elrohir. But on the other hand, Elrohir wouldn’t allow anyone to hurt him in any way. And certainly not repeatedly. This seriously confused him.
Thranduil could see his mind wandering of, but he didn’t ask Rumil to concentrate. He was glad he did, for it aided the elf in relaxing his body. Rumil was so engrossed in his thoughts he didn’t feel Thranduil pull out and thrust again. Knowing he had to bring ecstasy to the younger elf he aimed different and instantly hit target.
Rumil was jolted back to reality as stars erupted from the inside. “What?”
Thranduil smiled and kissed him. “Enjoy it, Rumil.” He thrust again, keeping his pace slow.
When Rumil realised what was happening he screamed. Every time Thranduil entered him the pain subsided and slowly be began to realise why it was so great.
Thranduil complied when Rumil told him to speed up and hit him harder. He pressed his love to the wall, almost crushing him between it and his own body. He was so close and still Rumil screamed for more. He knew what needed to be done, but he couldn’t move his arms or they would tumble to the ground. And with Rumil being new at it he didn’t dare risking an unexpected pull out. “Touch yourself, Rumil. Pump yourself for me.”
Rumil whimpered. Thranduil’s words fuelled his fire and his arms shuddered and shook as he moved to do so. The double assault of pleasuring himself and feeling Thranduil inside him undid him and he came hard.
Thranduil held him close and followed instantly, claiming the blond elf as his own. Rumil hang limp in his hold and he carefully pulled out.
Rumil’s eyes flashed open and Thranduil read the silent accusation in them.
He lifted him and managed to make the bed where he placed his lover between the many items. His eyes drifted lower and he was extremely pleased to see the absence of blood.
Rumil grabbed him and pulled him close, the hold on his wrist was crushing and he hissed. “Rumil…” His voice was begging and Rumil understood. The elf released his hold. But the eyes still flared with silent accusation and Thranduil swallowed.
“Rumil. Please? I didn’t realise you were a virgin. I would never have agreed to that position if I had. Please don’t be mad?” Rumil’s laughter was the last he expected.
The young elf snuggled close and kissed him. “I’m not mad. I should have told you, but it didn’t cross my mind.”
Thranduil sighed in relieve. “But why are your eyes mad? If not for that, than what?”
Rumil blushed. “I didn’t want to lose that feeling. You…”
Understanding dawned on Thranduil and he smiled affectionately. “Pulled out? I had to. We could hardly stay that way and I needed to make sure you weren’t hurt and I thought you had fallen asleep.”
Rumil nodded but he couldn’t prevent his tears from leaving. “But I feel so empty now.”
Thranduil snorted. “Wait until you try walking. You won’t feel empty then, but sore.”
He pulled his lover close. “Do you still want to leave me?”
Rumil’s eyes widened and he frantically shook his head. “Nay. I never wanted to leave you, but I never thought…. I mean….”
Thranduil smiled and nodded, understanding him. “We’ve been blind. And now we’re mated.”
Rumil smiled. “Really? This really was more… permanent?”
Thranduil nodded. “I claimed you as my own and when you claim me we’ll be together. Forever. I’ll never let you go, Rumil. Ever again.”
Rumil snuggled closer. “Good. For you’re stuck with me regardless.” He sighed and couldn’t help sadness from seeping in.
“And that makes you sad, because?”
Rumil smiled at Thranduil’s concern, but he didn’t speak. He didn’t want the other to laugh at him or lecture him.
Suddenly Thranduil understood. /He loves me that much? And I never knew… Thranduil, you are an old blind fool./
He smiled and kissed his lover. “I can deny you nothing. Turn around then.”
Rumil frowned but did as he was bid. He sighed contented when he felt Thranduil spoon behind him and pull him close. Feeling the other’s flesh served to remind him of the sensations that had coursed through him but they made him feel empty again. Suddenly he sat up and turned, his eyes determined. “There are some things I clearly do not know. Answer them?”
Thranduil seemed stunned by the movement but didn’t protest and merely nodded, caressing his arm.
Chapter sixty two Love, dum, dum, dum
Legolas turned and waved before he fully moved out of their view. He would miss them. He smiled when he had seen Rumil standing so close to his father. He hoped their talk had helped. He still wondered why the other had come to him instead of going to his father with his questions. But he wouldn’t pry in their affairs.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Thranduil lay passive but growled when his love remained out of his reach. Now that he had found his release and had enjoyed feeling the other come inside him he wanted nothing more than to hold him close, but it seemed Rumil had other plans.
Rumil reached for the oil again and smelled it once more. “It’s a lovely smell.”
Thranduil did release a growl now. “You smell better. Please?”
Rumil smiled. “Not unless you’re thinking of preparing me.”
Thranduil moaned, reaching his arm to grasp Rumil, who backed away at the last moment. “Too tired. Come here.”
Rumil smirked. “Well, if you are too tired, I suppose you will have to watch.”
He turned on the bed, settling beside the other and smiled when Thranduil instantly grabbed his ankle. He coated his finger and raised his hips, preparing himself.
Thranduil widened his eyes as he saw it happening. As if it wasn’t sexual enough Rumil increased the torture by speaking to him, telling him how great it felt. His grip on the other’s ankle involuntarily tightened and at the same time he tried to move it out of his view.
Rumil smiled, seeing his manipulations worked. He sat up and smiled warmly before easily swinging one leg over his lover and sitting on Thranduil chest. He now returned with three fingers and continued preparing himself. He wondered how he could stretch himself more, for he remembered the pain.
Thranduil was growing hard and he yanked the other closer. The movement surprised Rumil and he fell backwards, his hair fanning over Thranduil’s lower regions. As a result the king bucked and Rumil felt his member move beside his ear, forcing him to buck as well.
Thranduil smirked. “You’re an imp. How do you desire to be taken?” For he would not allow it if it was too much.
Rumil shrugged. “Don’t know. But I want to see your eyes.”
Thranduil nodded. “And I take it you want to be on top?”
Rumil smirked and nodded. “Aye. You need to let go and not make any decisions. At all!”
Thranduil smiled and released his lover’s legs. “I will love that. But I will not give up control to you just yet. I don’t want you to get hurt when it isn’t necessary. Get on your hands and knees, you need to be stretched some more.”
Rumil complied but he locked eyes before Thranduil could move away. “Not like this.”
Thranduil nodded. “I know. You cannot see my eyes, like this. But I would love for you to take me like that once.”
Rumil blushed and was glad the other could not see it. “I suppose you prefer the desk in your study to this comfortable bed?”
Thranduil’s member twitched in anticipation and he moaned. “Where others can walk in on us? See me at your absolute mercy?” He planted a kiss on his lover’s lower back and smiled. “Don’t suggest this unless you intend to do it.”
Rumil cocked his head and surprise lay in his eyes. Suddenly he completely understood. “The knowledge other might enter heightens your pleasure.”
Thranduil nodded. “Aye, Rumil. I am yours, to do with as you please. -When- you please.” Rumil moaned deliriously at that and pushed back.
Thranduil had already inserted three fingers, pleased Rumil could so easily accept them, but now he coated three fingers from his other hand and slowly made them join the others. Rumil tensed beneath him but he kept up the dirty talk, knowing it relaxed him.
He smirked. “I never would have thought you to be like this, meleth.”
Rumil frowned. “Like what? Tight?”
Thranduil laughed. “Well, yes, that too. But I was referring to your sensuality, Rumil, your need and desire. I never thought I would have a lover to meet mine and now I have one that not only does so, but that demands more. I like it.”
Rumil moaned as Thranduil stretched him. “You are making me come with your words and fingers only. How can I ride you for long if you do that?” He looked over his shoulder. “And you don’t even last as long as I do!”
Thranduil smirked. “Well, we shall have to come first than and I might know of a way to make sure you get the long ride you desire. But tell me, would you really take me in my study? Push me on it and take what you want? Hard, rough and thorough?”
Rumil whimpered and pushed back, nodding. “I would take you on the council floor if it pleases you.”
Thranduil could already see it and moaned. “During a meeting? What would they say?”
Rumil licked his lips. “That I’m one horny elf that clearly stakes his claim. Do you mean it?”
“Mean what?”
“That I shouldn’t say this unless I intend to carry it out?” He looked over his shoulder and smiled. “Do you really want me to walk in on a council one day and claim you before all eyes? Do you really wish me to grab you in a corridor and take you as you did me the other day? Would you really enjoy it if I tasted you when we are having a large banquet?”
Rumil’s words were too much and Thranduil came, pushed Rumil down. “You undo me one day, imp.” He kissed him and nodded. “And aye, I would. All that and more. But never expect me to taste you during a banquet.”
Rumil smiled lazily and turned. “Any other forbidden areas? You won’t get a second time to tell me.”
Thranduil smiled and kissed him. “I love you.” He sat up and frowned, thinking. He knew Rumil was serious but that meant he had to give it some serious thought as well. “I am not into pain, Rumil. So never bring out whips and such. If that turns you on please seek another to see to your needs.”
Rumil’s face contorted and he shook his head. “Same goes for you. Yagh! Next?”
Thranduil nodded. “Never during battle or when I need to be alert.”
Rumil pouted. “Nice. First you get me all wound up and fantasising about claiming you in front of your counsellors and then you say I can’t. That’s not fair.”
Thranduil frowned and stood. “Why is that not fair?” He wondered why he didn’t feel exhausted as he had already come twice, but he knew the prospect of being in Rumil had a lot to do with that, not to mention their conversation. If it was enough to make him come, it could certainly keep him aroused.
Rumil smiled and cocked his head, following his lover. “You need to be alert at those meetings.”
Thranduil laughed. “What’s to stop you from temporarily stopping the meeting?” He shrugged. “Besides. Do you really think they will be talking much if you are staking your claim before their eyes? And would you have me crawling on the floor or abuse my thrown?”
Rumil smiled, finally fully realising the other was completely sincere and did want him to take him whenever and wherever he felt like it. He crossed his legs. “Don’t know yet. I shall have to give the matter some thought. Or take you several times.”
Thranduil inhaled deeply as his body reacted to the words. “Are you referring to the amount of meetings you’ll interrupt or that you’ll take me more than once at the interruption?”
Rumil shrugged. “Don’t know. Both?” He wiggled his eyebrows and saw his lover sway.
He cocked his head. “What are you doing? You’re not planning on getting dressed, are you? I still want to ride you. And ride you long.”
Thranduil nodded. “I know. Nay, do you see this woodwork?” Rumil nodded. “It’s a hidden drawer, a large one.” As he spoke he opened it. “I would have had what I need by now, but your dirty words distract me.”
Rumil snorted. “You didn’t mind continuing. What’s in it?” He sat up so he could see and saw many things he hadn’t seen before.
Thranduil smirked. “Toys to play with. Oh, another forbidden for you to remember extremely well. We will not use any of this outside the bedroom.”
Rumil nodded. “If you tell me what that stuff is?” He left the bed, feeling curious.
Thranduil pulled him close and kissed him. “I don’t feel like telling you everything now. But this ointment will heighten your pleasure if you take me, this being the only thing you may use outside the bedroom. And this…” He grabbed a small beltlike object. “This will prevent me from coming too soon.”
He wiggled his eyebrows and stood, closing the drawer. “Come on, I believe you wanted to ride me longer than I was capable of.” Seeing Rumil’s dazzled expression he smiled. “My wife gifted me with most of these things. Come, don’t tell me you no longer find me desirable?”
Thranduil twirled twice and Rumil smiled, his eyes regaining their lust. “Stop that or I’ll paunch you.”
Thranduil laughed and continued. “That’ll be a treat, not a threat.”
Rumil laughed as well and leaped forward, effectively flinging both himself and Thranduil on the bed, where he swiftly straddled him.
“Will you enter?” He didn’t feel comfortable enough to take himself yet and he watched in awe when Thranduil first placed the belt on before he entered him.
“Rumil, as I get closer you have to make it tighter. Do you understand?”
Rumil nodded. “But you won’t get hurt? Pass out?”
Thranduil shook his head. “If you don’t plan to ride for hours I will be fine. And if you let me come.”
Rumil nodded and slowly started moving. He was surprised about the speed he was able to set real soon, riding his lover like mad. Every time he felt the other rub his gland but the pleasure wasn’t enough to make him come. It was a feast for his eyes to see Thranduil buck wantonly. Every touch or caress seemed to lift the other higher and Rumil fully enjoyed the ride.
At some point Thranduil’s pleas became different and he wondered if he should tighten the belt again. There were two more holes, but he was afraid to hurt him. And yet he couldn’t stop this delicious ride. Before he knew it Thranduil came and came hard, shouting his name.
Rumil almost fell of, but remained. Feeling Thranduil’s essence inside him pleased him and made his member twitch as he continued to ride his lover. He didn’t want it to stop yet.
In a daze Thranduil saw and felt Rumil still moving. He was still riding him when he came round enough to be coherent. “I am going to take that bath, whether you are done or not.”
Rumil laughed and fell forward. “I can’t seem to come. You feel so good in me.”
Thranduil smiled. “Well, you need to come, and you need to come now.” He curled his hand over Rumil’s member smiling when the elf trembled and instantly neared his peak. “Now that is interesting to know. You will do a lot of taking, meleth. Being taken just doesn’t make you come.”
He stood, cursing his trembling legs and staggered to the bathroom, though he frowned when Rumil didn’t join him. Seeing the other stand indecisive near the bed, looking at the discarded clothes deepened his frown. “Rumil? Are you joining me or do you merely desire to fuck me and then go separate ways?” The smile that was born on Rumil’s face could rival the sun and Thranduil adored his lover for being his.
Chapter sixty three Boys who love…
Elrond frowned when he saw Thrilmaldur and Erestor whisper. That was not their wont. “Meldir?”
Erestor blushed. “Elrond. We didn’t notice you.”
Elrond nodded. “Obviously. What were you two chatting about? Somehow I doubt it is work.”
Erestor nodded. “You are right. It isn’t. But we can’t tell you.”
Elrond cocked his head, smelling a secret. “Why not? Does it involve my family?” He could read the answer in their eyes and narrowed his own. Who was keeping secrets from him? “Are things going wrong with Elrohir and Orophin? Or Elladan and Elvil? Or has something happened to Elnihir?”
He saw their eyes at the mention of Elladan’s name and he growled. “I do not like secrets, Erestor. Especially in my realm. Now speak! What is wrong? Do not make me go to them. Or wait. I can ask Mel to go.”
Erestor stopped him. “Nay. It’s personal.” He sighed. “Elrond. They want to get intimate.”
Elrond nodded. “Of course they do. And it’s about bloody time. They’re frustrated enough to frustrate my lover. And a frustrated Melpomean isn’t a pleasant Melpomean.” Despite themselves the other two laughed.
Thrilmaldur smiled and spoke next, knowing the other to feel awkward about this. “We told them they could talk to us. They are insecure and both new at it.”
Erestor nodded and his eyes flamed up again. “And no matter what we say they remain afraid to hurt each other.”
Thrilmaldur nodded. “If things go on like this, they won’t be intimate for centuries to come.” He stifled a laugh at Elrond’s horrid look. “So we’ve figured out a solution, but we don’t know how to suggest it to them.”
Elrond narrowed his eyes. “Suggest what?”
Erestor shrugged. “We think it might be best if they watch others make love. Not only would they see the basic skills are more than adequate to fulfil their needs, they would also see there’s no pain involved.”
Elrond blinked but he could understand. “But it will be best to have them watch separately.” He smirked. “You might have to perform twice, my friends.”
Thrilmaldur shook his head and ignored his lover’s look. “Not necessarily, my lord.” He sighed. “Elladan will have no troubles watching us, but Elvil is another matter. He doesn’t know me enough to feel comfortable around me. We suspect he would be sitting there with his eyes closed, feeling like an intruder.”
Elrond had to agree they were right. “And having only Elladan watch in on others isn’t enough?”
Erestor shook his head. “Nay. It wouldn’t take away Elvil’s fear.” He suddenly blushed. How could they have thought of this? They couldn’t be asking him this?
Elrond cocked his head. “Then what pair do you have in mind? You will have to get them to agree? Glorfindel and Ecthelion?”
Thrilmaldur shook his head. “Nay. Ecthelion is his hero now. It wouldn’t be wise. I was thinking of you and Melpomean. If you wouldn’t mind?”
Elrond gasped and staggered back. He instantly felt Melpomean’s concern and he reached out to his love, soothing him as well as soothing himself. Not long after Melpomean materialised. “They suggest what?”
Erestor nodded and looked at Melpomean. “It would be best if Elladan watches us and Elvil you two. We would… ehm… educate them both but….”
Melpomean closed his eyes, knowing they were right. He looked at Elrond. “But Elvil sees Elrond as his father.”
Erestor nodded. “But you have to agree Elvil is a special case. Elladan would be freaked out just by the idea but Elvil will be soothed by it. The two of you he trust unconditionally.”
Melpomean looked at Elrond and smiled. He wouldn’t mind, but in the end it was Elrond’s decision.
Elrond nodded. “He may watch you take me.” He looked at Erestor. “But you are the ones who thought of this so you will be the ones making the suggestion.” He stood and groaned. “When did my life get so complicated?”
Melpomean held him close and smiled. “Since you allowed me to enter your realm. Now come, Elnihir is waiting for you.”
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Celeborn smiled as he saw Lindir walk inside. “You’re early today.”
Lindir shrugged. “As we’d both be sitting alone otherwise I didn’t see the point in waiting.”
Celeborn nodded and poured them both a drink. “And with what will you please me tonight? A ballad, a history, a weave of enchantment or a love song perhaps?”
Lindir smiled and allowed his eyes to roam the other’s body. Celeborn smiled as he felt it.
`Galadriel, hear me.` He instantly sensed her presence in his mind. `Tell me. Have you set me up?`
`Whatever makes you say that?` But he could sense her joy and hope.
He smiled. `Only the fact you never accept their invitation and now you do, while making sure Lindir keeps me company. I saw the looks he’s been giving me, haven’t you?` He sensed her surprise and smiled, realising she hadn’t. `Then why?`
`Because I want to see you happy. There are things not even I can give you. Do not worry and enjoy it. He will take good care of you.`
`But you do not wish to see it.`
Sadness entered his mind and she reached out to soothe him. `I would come by watching you alone, but I want you to fully enjoy it and that will only happen if he isn’t hindered by my presence.`
He smiled, realising she had left out of love. `I love you, Driel. How did you know?`
`You called for him once. And you know me.`
Celeborn laughed and nodded. “Aye, Driel, I know you.”
He turned and smiled at Lindir’s puzzled look. “Galadriel and I can always communicate over fast distances.” He cocked his head. “She left three days ago. Did you reconsidered her request since then?”
Lindir goggled at him. How could Celeborn know?
He smiled and started to undress. “I know my wife very well, Lindir, as well as she knows me. There are no secrets between us.” Now he was naked and stood before the other, seeing the arousal Lindir was desperate trying to hide. “Do you really desire to possess this, Lindir? Or will you be content by singing for me?”
He took a step closer and smiled. “Am I throwing you of balance, Lindir?” He nodded. “Aye, I am, aren’t I? You never expected for me to know or to make this move. But you see, Lindir. I never was one for waiting too long.”
Lindir crawled backwards. “My lord. You cannot, I mean…. There’s no….”
Celeborn laughed and touched his body, forcing Lindir’s breathing to speed up. “If you really do not desire this, Lindir, I will not hold it against you if you leave my talan. That would be perfectly understandable and I shall keep my distance from you for the duration of your stay.” He smiled and turned, took a few steps before he looked over his shoulder. “My bedroom is that way.”
He waited but Lindir never showed. /What is wrong with him? What is wrong with me? I can get everyone together but I can’t get an elf into my bed?/
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Lindir was thoroughly confused. He had agreed to Galadriel’s offer and he had wanted it, he still wanted it, but now… After seeing Celeborn naked for that first time, standing before him he realised it was indeed nothing. His tears came freely. /I am nothing to him./
He heard someone approach and swiftly hid between the bushes. His eyes widened when he saw Celeborn walk past, carrying a towel.
Suddenly the ruler released a small growl and turned. “That’s far enough Haldir. Return to your duties. Nay, I do not wish to bathe under the scrutiny of your eyes.” Celeborn waited for the other to be gone before he continued his road.
Lindir couldn’t stop himself. he followed. Once more he saw Celeborn undress himself, but this time without any seduction on mind. He hardened instantly and cursed himself again. /How could I have said no to that?/
/Because you want more than one wild fling./
/But he belongs to Galadriel in heart and soul./
/But they could also belong to you, if you’d share him./
He shook his head and focused on the bathing lord.
Celeborn was done rather swift and exited the lake. He didn’t get dressed but started pleasuring himself. He could smell Lindir’s arousal and hoped the other was tempted enough to join him. But that wasn’t the case. They came simultaneously, but separated by the bushes.
Celeborn glared but lowered his temper before standing. “I know you’re there, Lindir. I smelled you. I smelled your arousal and I smelled you coming. Stop hiding!” He could hear the breathing and knew Lindir would have bolted had he had the breath to do so. “Lindir, please tell me what is wrong? You desire me, yet you stay at bay. Please tell me why? Do you really wish to spend your time here admiring me when you can do so much more? Please?”
Lindir stood, knowing he couldn’t leave now.
Celeborn’s look was one of genuine interest. “Lindir, how do I manage to push you away? It is clear you want this to happen as much as I do.”
Lindir’s eyes suddenly filled with fire and he looked at him. “Oh, yeah?” The fire suddenly left and he shook his head. “Not as much as you do, but more.” He turned and walked away, allowing his tears to fall.
He was so absorbed in his pain he didn’t hear Celeborn closing in, but before he had reached the first trees the other had a tight hold on his wrist, forcing him to turn and face him. “Lindir? What are you trying to say? If you desire this even more than why don’t you act upon it? Why deny yourself, us, this pleasure?”
Lindir sighed and wiped angrily at his tears. “Because I want it to be more. Because I cannot do this, go home and forget it.”
Celeborn frowned. “I am not asking you to forget it. Neither will I.”
Lindir snorted. “But that’s all it’ll be. A memory. Never more. How can it?”
Celeborn gasped as he understood. “You love me?” Galadriel hadn’t mentioned that and he quickly reached out to make sure.
Miles away Galadriel was as shocked as he was. `But I told him to back out should he not be able to do this. I do not wish for his heart to ache.`
Celeborn forced his tears inside and applied small force to pull Lindir towards the lake. `What do we do? I cannot take him in our bed if it will hurt him.`
She didn’t reply and he grew worried. “Driel?” Lindir looked at him in shock and he realised he had spoken. “Come, sit down and gather your strength.”
He gasped when he felt Galadriel in his mind again. `I think I have a solution to this problem, if you agree. If he agrees.`
`Driel!`
`Make him your permanent lover. I am secure in your love for me, but as I said there are things I cannot give you. He can. He loves you and you can make him happy.`
Celeborn sighed. `Galadriel, my wife. I do not think I can bed him, even if it were to become a relationship. You know what happens when one makes love. A bond is created.`
`But that only happens… … … oh. You mean….`
`Yes, I do. For a long time.`
`I never realised.`
`Because I didn’t want you to worry and I didn’t want us to become mad over nothing.`
`Nothing!` Celeborn flinched, feeling her hatred. `Perhaps I need to cut this visit short, come home and knock some sense into you. I do not see the problem here. He loves you and you just tell me you love. And I suggested… And… and….`
She was furious and Celeborn shivered. `Driel, I didn’t mean to fall in love with him, but I did. And aye, I desire what he can give me, but I will not….`
`Shut up! And don’t tell me you love him. Tell him! Celeborn, you oaf. Don’t you know I shall never love you less. I can share you with him.`
After a while she entered his mind again. `Look, don’t feel so shocked. Turn the tables around. Suppose it were me and another woman. What would you do?`
`I would welcome her. If she brings you happiness. But Driel, you make me happy, extremely happy, and..`
`And I know that. But your happiness can grow through him. And thus my happiness. Just think about it, my love.`

Haldir wondered how to do his lady’s bidding and he went to his best friend, knowing she would know what to do. And she did.

“Lindir!”

Elrond growled. “I still do not know if this is wise. And what is happening in Lórien? I can practically feel Galadriel’s anger.”
Melpomean embraced his lover, knowing from personal experience the ruler needed to vent his frustration before he could distance himself. “I know not. But they will tell us if it’s bad, wouldn’t they?”
Elrond sighed and nodded, turning in the embrace to face his lover. “Aye. You are right.” He smiled adoringly at him. “I love you.”
Melpomean grinned and tightened his embrace rubbing his abdomen at Elrond’s. “Will you take me? Make me yours again?”
Elrond moaned and nodded. “Take yourself?”
Melpomean shook his head. “Nay. I want you to be on top. Soon you will have to suffer as I lecture Elvil. You know I am thorough in my lectures.”
Elrond swayed and started panting. “Ai, what will you teach him, I wonder.”
Melpomean smiled. “Only one thing. How to give his lover extreme bliss repeatedly.”
Elrond pulled back. “I have no intentions of having a voyeur more than once!”
Melpomean nodded. “Me neither but I do need to tell him something about the number of positions at his disposal. And that he can take his lover but can also be taken, and what about blowjobs?”
Elrond cocked his head. “Just how many times do you expect me to come with my son watching?”
“Your foster son. I don’t know. Depends.”
For some reason that answer made Elrond tremble. “On what?”
Melpomean smiled and declined on the bed. “On Elvil’s desire to learn and on you. If you cannot forget his presence I will not do what I have in mind.”
Elrond cocked his head. “And what would that be?” He sat up and crossed his arms. “If you desire to be taken now, you answer me. I am still your lord.”
Melpomean laughed and pulled Elrond closer. “I intend to show Elvil precisely how to please a Peredhel and how long they’ll last.”
Elrond growled. “I last longer than Elladan. I’ve got experience.”
Melpomean smiled. “You’re also a lot older and it is a common fact youngsters have more stamina.”
Elrond opened his mouth to counter him but closed it instantly. “This is not working, meleth.”
Melpomean shrugged. “Pity. But you’ll enjoy it. I promise you that. If you don’t…” He kissed him. “Well, then he will have to leave.”
