Chapter 33--Abducted
Erestor regained consciousness with a foul taste in his mouth and a throbbing headache. His condition was worsened by the fact he was slung across a horse like a sack of flour. He could feel that his hands were bound with coarse rope and he was gagged as well.
"So what are we going to do with him?" a man asked.
"She told us to make him disappear, so that is what we are going to do. We will take him to Myrna. She will pay a fortune for him," another man said from behind and above him.
"Maybe we will have some time for ourselves. Myrna runs a fine brothel," the first man said.
Erestor forced back a shudder of disgust. So that was to be his fate. He had to escape, but he had to plan it just right.
They had said she wanted him to disappear. He hoped his suspicions were wrong. He did not want to believe Lady Celebrian would do this. He wondered what she had told them.
Erestor cautiously opened his eyes s little. They were out of Imladris and it was getting dark. They had been traveling for hours. Another hour passed before the horse stopped. "That is far enough, we will stop for the night here. Take him," the man ordered.
Rough hands dragged Erestor from the horse then a sharp slap to his face made him cry out.
The men laughed. "That woke him up!" someone sneered.
"Easy, do not mar the merchandise, men. We do not want the pretty thing to be all bruised," the leader smirked. He walked over to stand in front of Erestor. He looked him over like someone would study a horse they were considering buying.
"Looks more like a woman then a man, right, Faril?" one man remarked.Chapter 33--Abducted

"Indeed, a shame really, if he was a woman he'd get triple the gold for him," Faril remarked.
Erestor glared at him, wishing he could voice the several scathing retorts that came to mind.
Faril obviously noticed. "That' is right, Elf. Hate mw and you might live longer,” he sneered then shoved Erestor backwards.
Erestor could have easily maintained his balance, his training had taught him that, but he figured it would be wiser to hide it. He allowed himself to fall awkwardly to the ground.
The men laughed and then seemed to lose interest in taunting their captive. They went to work tending the horses, setting up camp and fixing a meal.
Erestor watched and waited for a chance to escape, sooner or later one would come. Several hours later it did. The men settled down to sleep except for a lone sentry. Another lesson Erestor had learned was how to free himself from bonds. If they had used shackles he would have been unable to free himself, thankfully they hadn’t. Keeping a wary eye on the sentry, he began working on the ropes.
