"Let me go, Haldir." Stinah growled, but still he was being roughly handled by Haldir as the other elf dragged him through the Imladris' halls.
Haldir came to the door of his room and he bolted it open, pulling his current captured charge with him.
"Haldir, release me now." Stinah hissed and he was beginning to struggle against Haldir's hold, but with no success.
The other elf refused to release him just yet and he glared at his ex-lover angrily, showing his displeased emotion in his eyes.
Haldir wanted to punch something or better yet kill or hurt somebody, but just then he realized he had done that a few moments ago.
He remembered how he attacked that elfling Stinah was being with and he sighed, clearing his mind from the memory of that kiss, those two intimately shared.
"I shall release you, but you must promise me you won't escape or try to slaughter me. Do you promise." Haldir demanded and Stinah sighed in exasperation, nodding with his head in the silent agreement.
"Yes, damn it. Now release me, you are breaking my arm with that grip of yours, Haldir. What is your damage, Marchwarden? Who told you can touch me like thus, Huh?"
Stinah mocked and Haldir released his arms, shaking his head in a disagreement, because the other elf was being an unarguable subject.
"Oh and I suppose you would like to be touched by that scrawny elfling back there. What age is he? He could be your child, for Elbereth's sake."
Haldir chuckled and Stinah clenched his fists, wanting to use all of his anger upon the other's face. Stinah was very cross with Haldir because his ex-lover had hurt youngling earlier, by punching him in the face.
He wanted to do same to Haldir, but his response couldn't wait no more as he turned to his ex-lover and he started to yell at him.
"He is seven hundred of age, you incompetent cretin. And don't you dare to jest about his appearance, because he is more to me than you will ever be, traitor.
He is my friend, my comforting arm, my companion and I swear to you if you ever hurt him in any way again, you will pay Haldir. I should bestow a revenge upon you for hitting him earlier, but first I am giving you a fair warning."
Haldir laughed darkly at that and it was enough for Stinah to loose his control. His hand went flying and in a second it ended u the the Haldir's face, delivering a mean punch upon the Haldir's nose.
Haldir was surprised when he realized that his nose was bleeding and the pain that punch delivered, woke up his confused mind.
"Oi, What was that for?" Haldir grumbled and he grabbed the towel that lay near the basin, placing it upon his broken nose. He bent his head in the higher position and he stared at the ceiling, waiting for the bleeding to cease in time.
He shook his head, not believing that Stinah could be so fierce and that he could really respond in violence. He knew he deserved the punch but he really didn't expect that it would be Stinah who could bring it down.
Haldir mused at the change in Stinah; from the calm artist to the fierce warrior. He knew he was the reason for this change and that now the former Stinah was gone, replaced by this one who seemed to be more in a control over the things.
"That is what you get when you mock me, Haldir." Stinah said Haldir's name in a cold tone and he took the seat upon his bed, grinning madly at the pathetic sight Haldir made.
"But I said nothing. I was just laughing. I swear it, if I didn't know any better I would have thought you are a spawn of a Sauron himself." Haldir said it while his head stayed in the upward position and he decided that it was best to avoid any fights with Stinah this night.
"Well, you deserved it nonetheless. You shouldn't have punched Semar, and what dazzles me the most is why did you do it. I am not your lover and you had no right to separate me from any kind of act, I was delivering back there."
Stinah glanced upon the Haldir's face and he winced when he saw how much damage he had done to the other's nose. It seemed to be broken and Haldir was trying to stop the bleeding, coming from the irritated wound.
"Anyway what is he to you. Lover, bonded? I don't know what is your connection to him, but after all I didn't see you for a long time, so I couldn't possibly know."
Haldir sighed as the bleeding almost disappeared and he came to the basin again, grabbing the other clean towel and moistening it with the water. He brought the clean towel to his nose and he pressed lightly on it, cleaning the leftover blood that lingered there.
"You guessed right, orc brain. He is my lover and you had no right delivering your fake jealousy upon his face. And you haven't answered my question; what made you hit him back there. What foul Gods possessed you to do that."
Stinah acquired and he coldly glared upon the Haldir's face making the other elf somewhat uncomfortable.
"I guess it is time to talk to you and explain some things to you, I am hiding in myself. I have lost so much time lingering about it, but now I have to let you know what matters are troubling my heart."
Haldir deeply sighed and he placed the dirty towel on his bedside desk, lowering his head in the hiding motion, his gaze lingering upon the wooden floor of his room.
"What matters are torturing your inexistent heart. The heart is something that you don't possess, Haldir. There are times I thought otherwise but my faith in you had been destroyed, since that time when you had broken my heart. What is there to mend, Haldir? The past had destroyed any future connection between us and it had erased any feelings I carried for you."
Stinah said in a soft voice and he knew he had to lie, so he could bring some victory to this cause. He had been fool thinking that Haldir would never possess his whole spirit again, but since the fair warrior came to Imladris, Stinah's feelings resurfaced and started anew.
He wanted and desired Galadrhim, and during those nights he spent on the borders he had realized he needed to rekindle their relationship and try to forgive Haldir, musing if he indeed could.
Stinah also wanted to spring some revenge for all those days he suffered without his ex-lover and he wanted ake ake Haldir jealous. But, by the looks of it, he knew he had succeeded.
Stinah knew that Haldir would loose it when he kissed Semar, and he felt guilty for getting Semar hurt in the process, but he was happy he had succeeded in provoking Haldir's jealous side.
He looked back at Haldir and he saw confusion and hidden jealous expression lined on there and he smiled a little, congratulating himself for making Haldir taste his own medicine for a while.
"You do not love him, Stinah. He is only something that helps you mend the pain that I caused in the past. For that, I must deeply apologize to you ..."
Stinah screeched and he stopped Haldir in the mid sentence. He was getting mad now and his feelings of suppressed anger fired up again, making Haldir wonder what he said wrong.
"How do you know what I feel, you imbecile. You feel you must apologize, but do you really mean it. Do you know what you made me go through. Do you know how many heartbroken nights I have suffered. Do you even know how close I was to fading and that only Semar himself had brought me back from the despair. Keep apologies to yourself, you heartless bastard, because I have need of none."
Stinah released everything that was shown upon his soul at that second and he sighed when he realized he had tears in hies. es. He cursed himself for releasing strong emotions, and allowing them to master him so thoroughly.
"Stinah, be at peace. My apology is meant from my heart and I have not uttered it in any fake intention. I have suffered too, because of my foul ways and I have not admitted to myself something that for a long time resided in my heart. Most importantly, I have misguided you and I have not released that, which lingered in mnce nce I have met you. I have been foolish to think that none of my past lovers could dig inside of me and find that which provoked the fear in me, that fear of falling in love. You have dug that deep inside of me and you have found my heart. I have hurt us both in the past, by foolishly denying myself of that emotion; that which many call love. I am in love with you and I cannot keep this quiet anymore, and my only fear is that you will never forgive me for hurting both of us in the past."
Haldir confessed all that he had known was troubling his mind, and he quietly prayed that once more he would be given a ch to to win his ex-lovers favor.
He prayed without any hope but he was troubled that maybe Stinah had really stopped caring about him, and had professed his heart to his current lover.
Stinah couldn't believe what he was hearing and he thought how sometimes faith can play a cruel game on many of it's participants. He was hearing all the things he needed to hear from Haldir, and he wanted to forgive the other elf so easily, but he found himself not doing so.
His plot would still be under the way and he would make Haldir pay for his foolishness and make him learn not to repeat the past again. He knew he was cruel and maybe heartless, but he couldn't surrender so easily and make Haldir think that he was so desperate to take him back. He wanted for Haldir to know that he was in charge over the things this time and that forgiveness only lay in the Stinah's hands.
"Oh, how kind of you to finally come to terms with yourself. I have no real need for your admission, because it is too late for us to become what we were once more. All the things you said would have been appreciated in the past, but now they are just blank words with no meanings. I would pray of you to stay away from this subject, while I linger here because bringing it all back is not worth it. It won't repair any damage you had don me, me, and it won't heal any wounds you opened for yourself."
Stinah calmly said that and he wondered what strength had possessed him to refuse only desire in his life, Haldir. He knew that with time he would mend everything these words caused to Haldir but first, Haldir had to feel some anguish and Stinah needed to know that the other elf was suffering indeed, before he could consciously take him back.
"So, you cannot forgive me. Is that what you are saying?" Haldir questioned his lost love and his face showed some hurt, something he wanted to conceal at this moment, but he couldn't.
"Give me the reason why I should forgive you, and somehow I will do so. Forgiveness lays with suffering soul and THAT, my friend, you are not." Stinah spoke in riddles and Haldir cocked his head a little, trying to figure out what the other elf was saying.
"I do not understand what you are saying, but I will beg for your forgiveness if I have to, and most importantly I will beg for you love. If that is what you need, it shall be done." Haldir softly glared at his lover and he moved himself to sit on the Stinah's bed, beside the other elf.
"I do not need a beggar's attention nor it's necessary for you to lower yourself in such a way. Those things you are seeking, you will not have freely because once I have been burned by your incompetence, and it shall never happen again. Now, I would ask of you to stop this meaningless discussion before it takes us nowhere. Nothing is resolved by remembering the past, and sometimes ignoring it is the best way to live with it."
Stinah deeply sighed and he glanced upon the other elf who was now close to him and he lingered at the thought how uncomfortable Haldir's closeness felt right now. The real truth was he had wanted that closeness but he didn't want it just yet.
He wanted to forgive and forget but not that soon. He wanted a lover in his bed, but not with this fear that he might loose him again.
"If you wish so, I will cease with this conversation. I just wanted to tell you what was in my heart and I hope someday you will forgive me for the pain I have caused you."
Haldir didn't want to give up on them yet, and he wanted so badly to correct all those times he had unconsciously hurt his precious lover. The precious Stinah was to him and realization that it was so, gave him the strength to admit this love emotion to Stinah.
Haldir hoped that the other elf would give him a chance to redeem himself and that with time given he would sneak again into the other's soul. He wanted to be patient, but every time he saw his ex lover he had this urge to scoop him up into his arms and hold him close.
But for now, he needed to observe and to have a patience in winning his lovers favor again. After all, those born with patience are known winners of their true call.

A? N: (All that (bellow) in parenthesis are the Arthon's thoughts, before he kills an orc, who was about to slaughter Elrond. I didn't want this to confuse you, so I made this little a/ n.)
~*~*~*~~*~*~*~*
(There) Arthon thought. (There, there, he is sneaking behind him, and with one strike he is going slice Elrond's skull in two halves. He is waiting for the opportune moment to do it, but just with one strike of this mail opener toward his throat, will kill that smelly beast. If I do it correctly and I hit him in the middle of his throat, he will choke on his own blood and he will be dead in a second. Steady, hold this thing steady, Arthon. The elf's life depends upon it. I bet Elrond is not very aware that death is about to collect him, but after all those damn half-elves are always blind to see the things properly. There, I have good aim. Strike now Arthon, strike or you will loose him.)
The mail opener flew through the air and after a second something screeched and fell over, through the window of the Elrond's study.
Elrond who sat beside it became alarmed when he saw Arthon from the shadows of the bedroom doors releasing something sharp toward his direction. He was lost in his thoughts in those few seconds that mattered, and he realized that maybe the other elf went mad and he tried to kill him.
But something screeched and slumped beside him and located on the floor, trapping his left foot, was a bleeding head of an orc.
He realized that it wasn't only the head, but the whole body of the stinking beast, lay dead in his study. Elrond realized that Arthon had killed it and that object Arthon released few seconds ago wasn't meant to hurt him, but to kill this intruder.
He was shaking when all this dawned upon him and the knowledge how close he was to death in those past few seconds, started to scared him. Arthon came beside him and he squeezed ackedcked elf's shoulder, giving him some comfort in a silent way.
"How did that thing get through your borders." Arthon asked and he shook his head, thanking the Gods that his senses served him well these days.
Five minutes ago, he was putting on one of the Elrond's robes when the strange smell invaded his nostrils and he knew that something menacing was near.
He was angry with himself for leaving the weapons on his horse and he looked for something sharp he could use to kill that thing which was approaching, whatever it was. Arthon found the mail opener which was luckily sharp and he took it from the bedside table.
He went toward the study to warn Elrond and suddenly there he saw an orc, armed with the sword. The orc was standing beside the window of the study, leaning forward, and preparing to kill Elrond who sat on the chair beside that site.
Orc didn't see Arthon but Arthon had already aimed toward the orcs throat with the mail opener and he knew that with one precise strike on the center of it's neck, it would kill the Orc and that action would save Elrond from the lingering death.
And now the Orc lay dead and Arthon released a small sigh of relief, thanking the Valar his aim served him well, also. He had killed creature with one try and now he kicked it, making sure that it was dead.
"Guards!" Arthon saw Elrond going outside and calling for his guards, as he turned the co ove over to explore it properly.
He saw that this orc belonged to one of he appointed spies and assassins of Sauron. Couple of Imladrian soldiers arrived and they looked inside of the Elrond's study, gasping at what they saw in there.
The lieutenant of the guards remained silent as Elrond reprehended him, and the question of how this could have happened remained unsolved between the guards.
Elrond was shocked and angry as he yelled at his people; telling them to remove that thing from his study. Arthon could understand the other's distress but he felt that it was unfair for Elrond to be angry at his guards.
Yes, they were responsible for Imladris's protection but sometimes things happen and the risk of death is great in these dark times. The assassins of Sauron work alone and they have the ways to sneak in through borders and have their damage done before any of the guards realize what had happened.
"Elrond calm youself.I know you are confused, angry and shocked but do not blame it all on them. I know these orcs, and trust me they have their ways to get even through the best guarded defenses, and many times people are not aware of them being there. Stop taking it out on them and come here and sit.'"
Arthon came behind the distressed Lord and he moved him to sit beside the desk located in the study. Arthon poured some mirvour and he handed it to the pale Elrond, but the other one ignored his cup, still visibly shaking from the sudden 'death threat' he encountered.
"Thank you...for saving my life." Elrond uttered he he drank from the cup with his shaky hands, wondering how did Arthon succeed in saving him. Few seconds ago, he was sitting there beside the window and he was lost in his thoughts, not knowing that he was about to be slaughtered. And suddenly this creature appeared out of the nowhere, and victim was not very much aware of that. Elrond realized he needed to pay more attention to the things happening around him, because this unawareness could have cost him of his life.
"I am glad you are unharmed. I would hate being engaged to a corpse." Arthon tried to light the mood of this room by jesting, and he turned to see guards leaving with the Orc's corpse, thanking them for coming quickly to their assistance. Arthon also told them to check all over Imladris for the other Orc's companions, if there were any, and to alarm all the guards about the possible outbreaks. The lieutenant nodded and he lowered his head in shame, closing the door quietly behind him.
"Strange! I thought you were about to kill me with that sharp object, but it turned out you saved me from loosing my head today. I owe you my gratitude, Arthon." Elrond smiled kindly at the other Lord and Arthon just shook his head, his gaze lingering on the half-elf.
"Hmm, I was about to kill you, but that orc was on my way. Pity! I ruined a good shot on him, don't you think." Arthon grinned and Elrond laughed at the other's dark humor, realizing for the first time that Arthon was indeed needed here in his realm.
