Chapter 30
**********
...Outside....

"Viggo, about that fire..." As Orlando spoke, he watched the woods.

"Forget it."

"What?"

"Forget about it. It is probably just that bon-fire, the rain will take care of it." Viggo was genuinely unconcerned.

"You aren't serious." It wasn't a question.

"Look, Victoria was just bitching about her damn fire going out. Obviously, they fixed the problem. Forget it."

"Shouldn't we call someone?"

Viggo paused, and didn't move. He closed his eyes and took a deep breath before slowly speaking.
"This land has burned before, and it will burn again. What happens here.. Stays here."

Orlando could only stare at him. He saw Viggo tremble slightly then he opened his eyes as he turned to face him.

"Come on." Viggo stood up with a sigh. "Let's get them inside. You grab Elijah under the arms, I'll get Dom. We should be able to drag them from here."

Before Orlando could say anything, Viggo walked over to open the door. He grabbed the doorknob and tried to turn it, but wouldn't budge.
He tried jiggling it back and forth. Nothing.
He jiggled, pushed, and kicked at it... Nothing.
He laid his forehead against the door. "This is so not fucking happening!"

"You locked us out?" Orlando had to fight the grin that threatened.

"I DID NOT lock us out! This door was NOT locked when I FUCKING SHUT IT!!"

He stepped back to consider trying to kick the damn thing in.

"Viggo?"

"What?" It was all he could do not to growl it at him.

Orlando pointed as the door slowly drifted inward.

"I was going to saaaay, I can see the door knob turning."

"I'm getting a headache." He muttered as he went over to Dom and grabbed him.

"Ummm, Viggo?"

"What, now, Orlando?"

"Aren't you going to check first?"

Viggo sighed and dropped Dominic with a thud. "Damn. He slipped."

"It's not funny." Orlando snickered.

"Stop laughing. I really didn't mean to drop him."

"Riiight.. The kitchen?"

In the Hall..

Victoria was sitting on the floor at the foot of the steps, drawing in the dust.

"Why do you always do that?" Jonathan was squatting down watching her.

She rolled her eyes at him. "Do what?"

"Sit here and draw in the dirt? I mean, if everything works out, and you leave here tonight, then I will not get another chance to ask. So why do you do it?"

"Where's Peter? He really should keep you on a shorter leash."

"Huh? I have no idea. Why do you do it?"

She stood up, wiped her hands on her dress and turned to face him. "I don't have a form, remember!? Never had one, don't want one. Unfortunately, sometimes it's a necessity evil for communication.
I needed a form and this one was somewhat available. I don't know why she draws in the dirt, and I don't care. When I'm not controlling her every move she is either drawing in the dirt or crying her foolish eyes out.
Satisfied? If not, go find Peter and leave me alone."

"Maybe death is not what she was expecting it to be." She had started to walk away when he spoke.

Victoria spun around to face him. "Jonathan, I am not death. I am life. I am the land and the essence of all it feels. The land hates this abomination and wants it stopped. The tree, a symbol of life, was a tortured mockery. Instead of reaching for the heavens, it was the anchor that bound the innocent ones here. Now it has all but been destroyed. The first rays of the sun will set them free."

"If the pact is sealed there will be another tree. It will start again.
Just like every other time." He could feel the tears threatening. "Viggo is planning.."

"He won't go through with it."

"You can not be sure of that!"

"I'm done with you, Jonathan. I have matters to check up on."

Jonathan waited until she started to fade before he spoke. "You haven't won yet."

"Eric has gone to find Orlando. He will not let Viggo go through with his plan. It ends tonight. The cycle will be broken." Once again, she turned to go.

"No he hasn't."

"What? You lie." She snarled at him.

"Whatever." Jonathan began writing his name in the dust.

"He has gone to find Orlando."

"Guess again." Jonathan finished his name and started on Peter's. "Eric is going straight to Sean. The Pixies have taken them both out to the Old House for their own entertainment. Neither one will be of any use to you tonight."

Jonathan watched her disappear before rising to his feet. The thunder boomed loudly and the wind howled. He knew she heard him.

Viggo glanced in the kitchen. He saw the lady stirring a big black pot hanging over the fireplace. Made a quick decision to ignore her and stepped back out.

"Let's go." He briskly moved to Orlando and nudged him toward Elijah. Then he grabbed Dom and started for the door. He was hoping that if he moved fast enough Orlando wouldn't have a chance to start asking questions.

It almost worked.

He had pulled Dominic half way across the room when he heard the thud.
Elijah was lying on the floor and Orlando was frozen in his tracks. The woman had apparently decided not to ignore them.
She was walking toward Orlando and shaking a wooden spoon at him.

"You can't bring them in here! This is the where the food is prepared! You'll have everyone in the house sick! The beds are set up in the great room, put them in there with everyone else. When you get done, I'll have you a basin to wash in outside the door." She motioned toward the doorway leading to the dining room. "I'll set you some soup and coffee out. You must be famished.
It's a wonderful thing you boys are doing by bringing in the sick and it is appreciated. You just can't bring them in through the kitchen, ya hear?. Just use the front door next time." She promptly went back to her cooking, pausing only long enough to shake her spoon at the door emphatically before turning back around.

Viggo looked at Orlando. He wasn't moving. He was just standing there.

He laid Dominic down gently and quietly moved to his lover's side.
"Orli?" He whispered in his ear and Orlando slowly turned his head toward him.

He lifted one arm and limply pointed at the door.

The door swung open and in walked a bedraggled young woman. The front of her dress was splattered with what looked like shimmering wet blood. It dripped from her long stringy dark hair. There were smears of it all along her arms and face.

She walked resolutely to the table and sat down. Lifting her hand from the holds of her dress she pulled out a small handgun and placed it on the table. Then she clasped her hands to her face and sobbed.

"Fuck, it looks like all the spooks are coming out tonight. Orlando, we have got to get out of here. Now!" He shoved the younger man and tried to shake him. Orlando responded by smacking at Viggo with both hands.

"Stop it!" Orli whined at him.

Orlando turned around then, grabbed Elijah and started for the door. Viggo followed him with Dom. As he was shutting the door behind them he heard the lady at the fireplace explaining to the other woman that "You can't do that in here.. This is where the food is prepared."

Viggo laid Dominic out in front of the fireplace. The soft, warm flames would be just what he needed. He motioned to Orlando to put Elijah next to him and began looking for something to cover them with.

"Come on." Viggo headed for the door to the hall.

"Wait a minute, where are you going?" Orlando ran across the room to him.

"We are going to get them," he pointed at the men in front of the fireplace, "a blanket from the hall closet. Then, we are going to find the others. They are probably off fucking somewhere and the way my luck is running, it's somewhere without a camera."

Orlando followed Viggo quietly to the closet. He took the blanket Viggo handed him without a word and silently followed him back to the dining room. After they had spread the covers over the two 'sleeping' men, Orli stuffed his hands in his pockets and waited.

Once Viggo was satisfied with the blankets he went to the bar and wet a napkin. He used this to clean Dominic's face then he rinsed it out and wiped the mud off Elijah's face as well. Dropping the dirty napkin to the floor, he got up and moved toward Orlando.

He turned the younger man around and with one hand in the small of his back, he nudged Orlando toward the hall.

Orlando still hadn't said a word. He let Viggo direct him out of the room and into the hall. Then he planted both feet firmly on the floor and refused to budge causing Viggo to run right into him. He started to fall and reached for the man behind him causing Viggo to loose his balance as well. They both ended up in a sexy pile on the floor.

"Orlando?" Viggo sighed.

"Look Viggo, we need to talk." He wriggled out from under Viggo and sat there looking at him.

"Now, really isn't the time, Baby. We need to find.."

"Now, is the perfect time. I'm not that drunk. Buzzed? Yeah, but not wasted, and I'm not stupid either. I want to know what is going on here." He hugged himself with his arms and sat there trying so hard to look serious.

"Sweetie.." Viggo reached over and ruffled his hair. "I know you aren't stupid, Hon, you are very smart. I tell you that all the time. Now, come on Baby, we really need to get moving." Viggo's hand slipped from Orlando's hair to the back of his neck then he pulled him close and pressed their lips gently together.

He kissed Orlando slowly and softly, pulling him into his lap while he did it. Viggo's hands moved over his shoulders and down Orlando's back. Soon he was holding him tight and rocking them back and forth together.

Orli, for his part, tried to slip his tongue in, tried to grab Viggo's cock; he even tried rubbing against Viggo. He tried everything he could think of and still Viggo pushed him calmly back.

"What the bloody-hell is wrong with you?" He shouted in frustration. "I need to fuck! No, at this point, I just need to come. Those fucking pills of yours have made it so fucking hard it hurts Viggo! Do you want me hurting? I think not. I have been following you around with this piece of wood rubbing against the inside of my jeans and it's chaffing. The only action my cock has seen since they got here has been a lot of rubbing and a lot of promises! I NEED to FUCK!" His tirade over, Orlando seemed to visibly deflate as he sighed and waited for Viggo's answer with tears welling up in his eyes.

"Oh Baby, you really are hurting, aren't you?" Viggo kissed him on his forehead. While Orlando wasn't looking he also took a glance at his watch. "Do you want your surprise now?"

"My surprise? If this is just another empty promise Vig, I'll cry. I swear I will." He knew Viggo couldn't stand tears.

"Come on Darling," Viggo squeezed the bulge in Orli's pants. "We just have to check on the guys, then I'll take you to it."

"Promise?"

"I promise. Now let's go, I have something really special planned, Babe. It's everything you ever wanted."

Viggo gently massaged the throbbing bulge as he ran his tongue lightly over Orlando's ear. A breath, soft and warm, sent shivers down Orli's spine.

Suddenly Viggo pushed Orlando up and got to his feet.
"We have to go."

With one arm around the frustrated younger man they headed off in search of the others.

'Fine, first we'll find the others, then sex, then you have some questions to answer, Viggo.' Orlando thought as he followed his lover into the den.
