The Prison

Chapter 2 The Prison

For a thousand years the land of Mordor was a baron wasteland, dark and quiet yet riddled with orcs. Without purpose or fulfillment. Then the evil Lord Drimville came out of the shadows. Exiled into the Earth by Lord Sauron hundreds of years before, he waited for his time to come. His time is now.
Now a thousand years after he came, his new fortress built by the orcs on the outskirts of Mordor is finished and he has begun to hatch his dark plot. The first step to kidnap Princess Ilya.
Lord Drimville sits on his throne of blood; everything about him is dark and evil, his face white as death as he is neither living nor dead. His eyes pale and full of hatred.
Searching for his way to rule he came across an ancient prophecy, written in the lost language of old elvish a language he has never understood and of which he has no desire to understand. To him elves are unworthy creatures, yet he has a secret desire for the young Princess. He enlisted the help of a human, lost from the path of good. Dillondrion, exiled from Gondor by the King when he took the side of Sauron. It is he who translated the ancient prophecy for Drimville, but his skills were less than perfect. The only part he could successfully translate was
‘Innocence is the Key to evil. Seek it in the land of Rivendell. The Elven Princess of goodness to unlock the powers of the universe.’
More yet remains a secret in the pages, yet to discover and the Lord becomes impatient.
But for now he has the Princess.
Orcs gather in the throne room awaiting the words of their new Lord.
‘Did you get the Princess’ Lord Drimville asked
‘Yes Lord’ an Orc replied
‘Where is she’?
‘In the Chamber you prepared for her Lord’
‘Good, and the Elf’
‘He was injured my Lord, probably dead by now’
‘You had better hope so’ Drimville shouted angered by the uncertainty of Legolas’ fate.
‘My Lord he will pose no threat to us I assure you’
‘How can you be so sure?’ he asked
The orc didn’t answer.
‘You’d better be right. I will away now to pay our Princess a visit. Post a guard by her door for every hour of the day. Any harm comes to her and you all pay pay with your lives’
The Dark Lord got up from his throne and made his was down the long halls of his black palace.

In her new chamber, black as the rest of the palace Ilya awoke to find her arms bound to her hard and large bed.
She looked at her surroundings but could not see for everything was pitch as night. Then the door began to open. Lord Drimville stepped into the room. Ilya was silent, but shaking with fear as the Lord sat in the chair beside the bed.
‘How do your new apartments suit you Princess’
Ilya stayed silent, she couldn’t find any words to speak even if she wished to.
‘Get used to them, you will be here for a long time’
The Princess gathered herself and forced out her question
‘What do you want with me?’
‘You are to be my new Queen my dear’ he moved closer to her ‘Together we will rule Middle-Earth with evil’
‘Never!’ Ilya screamed
‘With time you will get used to the idea’
‘Legolas’ she whispered
‘What’s that you say’
‘Legolas, he will rescue me’
‘From the pits of Hell, my dear I think not’
‘What?’
‘Your Prince is dead my Princess’
‘No! You lie’
‘Believe what you will, I have no reason to lie, stay here for a thousand years and you’ll believe’
Tears filled Ilya’s eyes, she couldn’t believe that Legolas could be dead, how could it happen, with all the love in her heart God could not allow him to die. She would give her immortal soul for him and him alone.
‘Rest now child, I’ll pay you another visit later’
Lord Drimville rose from his seat and left locking the door behind him, leaving Ilya with her thoughts. She cried an ocean that night.
