Chapter 3 – Peace And Quiet
Craig left
apartment with a bag full of clothes and “get well soon” wishes from the
hobbits. He then headed for the mall and walked around searching for the
perfect surprise for
Smiling, he spotted the right store and walked inside.

Five hours, and few bags unloaded, later he walked
up the stairs to see how
was doing.
The younger actor was awake and Craig walked to
him. He sat down on the bed and looked at the bandage covering

“It’s a pleasure” Craig said “You need to rest and
get better. Actually, I wanted to discuss something with you. You don’t have to
agree, just hear me out and then decide what you think about it.”
Arial'> nodded and Craig helped him to sit up and leaned him back against the
pillows.
“Viggo’s been worried about you the past few weeks
and after going to get your stuff I completely agree with him. You don’t get
much rest do you?”
Arial'> looked down and shyly shook his head. “The hobbits like having parties
and I don’t want to sound like a spoiled brat. I mean, I’m new on the scene and
they all have some movies to their names. So what right do I have to demand
peace and quiet.”
“You need your rest Orlando” Craig said “You do a
lot of stunt scenes and your back is a problem as well. You can’t keep going on
like this and that’s why I’m going to talk to Viggo. I want you to move in with
us.”
“Craig” Orlando said “I can’t lie on your necks.
That wouldn’t be right.”
“Nonsense” Craig replied “You can share the rent
and this room is open. I think you’ll rest here better and transport is easily
sorted out since you and Viggo have a lot of scenes together.”
“I …” Orlando didn’t know what to say.
“We’re worried about you” Craig said wrapping an
arm around
shoulders “And I made my choice. I really want you to move in and Viggo will
feel much better knowing your looking properly after yourself. What do you
say?”
“Thank you Craig”
“Good” Craig said “We’ll go and get your things
when you’re feeling better and then get you settled. We’re having pasta for
dinner and I got some DVDs as well. Are you feeling up to joining us
downstairs?”
Arial'> nodded and then looked down, seemingly very nervous.
“What is it Orli?” Craig asked.
Arial'> swallowed and looked at the older actor. “I want to clean myself up and
wash my hair” he said “There’s still dry blood in it but I cant stand or walk.
I also need to keep my foot and head as dry as possible. The stitches are water
resistant but the doctor said it’s better to keep them dry.”
“Do you need some help?” Craig asked, sighing as he
saw how embarrassed
was. “It’s okay” he said “Me and Viggo are there for you. You only need to ask.
I’ll go and run you a bath and then I’ll help you take off the bandage and wash
your hair.” He walked into the bathroom and turned on the water.
“I’m sorry I’m such a nuisance”
the bathroom.
“You didn’t ask to get hurt Orli” Craig said as he
sat
down on the toilet and helped him to take off his clothes. He then picked him
up and gently lowered him into the tub. “Just relax and let me help you” he
said as he propped
ankle and away from the water.
Arial'> nodded and allowed Craig to help him wash and rinse his hair.
After forty five minutes of laughter
half lying on the couch under a warm blanket.
Craig had placed a pillow under his ankle and was
currently getting the food ready when Viggo came walking down the stairs.
“How are you feeling” he asked and
“Good now that I’m clean” he said.
“You’re just in time” Craig said over the partition
“There’s some grape juice in the fridge. Will you please get it out while I
bring the food?”
Viggo nodded and soon everything was on the table
in front of the television.
Craig walked to the kitchen and appeared with a
wrapped box. “This is for you” he said as he sat down next to
present from me and Viggo and something to keep you from getting bored.”
“You didn’t need to”
wrapping paper. He gasped when he saw what was inside the box. “Guys” he said
as he smiled at the DVDs in the box. “I didn’t even know these existed.”
“I knew you’d like it” Craig said “Now lets put
them away and dig in. The food’s getting cold.”
Arial'> nodded and allowed Viggo to pour him some grape juice.
There was no sound for the next half an hour as
they ate and then sat talking for a while.
Arial'> took his medicine and then they settled down to watch the DVDs.
“Hope you like what I got” Craig said as he
switched the television to the right channel and the movie started playing.
Soon all three actors were engrossed in the movie
and sat in silence watching it.
