Rúmil sat in his hiding place, watching the elleth (f. elf) pull out a couple of strawberries from the cloth sack and cut them up. He stayed perfectly still, just biding his time for him to pounce on his prey. Just when he thought he may need to make a diversion, someone called the elleth away from the table and the strawberries. As soon as she was away from the table Rúmil jumped up and grabbed the sack with his teeth. He was just about to make his escape when the elleth let out a screech, “Rúmil! No! Bad kitty! No wait, you come back here!”

Rúmil dashed out of the kitchen with his prize as fast as his four little legs would carry him. When he was far enough away from the kitchen, he slowed down and made his way outside and up onto the balcony of his Master’s chambers. He did not know why his Master liked these red globe things, but he would do anything to get back into his Master’s good graces. He loved the white-furred ellon (m. elf) and truly felt bad that he made him angry but what is a cat supposed to do. I mean, he surely could not catch mice with dull claws, now could he? And the legs of his Master’s desk looked so inviting, it was almost a compulsion. If Rúmil did not know better, he would think that the desk was possessed, calling him to scratch its wooden legs.

Coming into the bedchamber, he hopped up onto the foot of the bed and stared at the two ellyn (pl. m. elf) lying in each others arms. Rúmil was glad that the silver-furred ellon was here, for he made his Master really happy. Laying down the cloth sack, he let out a, “Meow!”

Rúmil blinked the sleep from his eyes and smiled as he looked into the sleeping face of his hervenn (husband). Feeling eyes upon him, he raised his head and saw Rúmil staring at them. Spying the sack that was at the cat’s feet, he then caressed Lindir’s cheek, “Meleth (Love), wake up. You have a visitor bearing gifts.”

Lindir stretched and yawned. He was deliciously sore, inside and out from the thorough loving his hervenn had given him all through the night. Seeing his mate looking down at him, he smiled as he ran his fingers through Rúmil’s hair, “Hmmm, good morning meleth nín (my love).”

Rúmil smiled and he leaned down and gave Lindir a quick kiss before he said, “Someone is here. I think he is trying to make amends.”

Lindir frowned and sat up then saw Rúmil sitting at the foot of the bed. “Well hello there you little rascal, what is it that you have there?” Lindir asked as he watched the feline pick the sack up with his mouth and deliver it onto his lap.

“Meow,” the golden cat said as he waited for his Master to open up his gift.

Lindir took the sack and peered inside and gasped, “Strawberries, oh, my favorite, hannon le (thank you) precious.”

Rúmil purred as Lindir picked him up and scratched under his chin. After a few minutes of petting, his Master put him down and Rúmil jumped down and went to his bed and started to groom himself, happy that his Master had forgiven him.

Rúmil chuckled at the feline then looked back at his hervenn who had just bit into a strawberry, leaving a trickle of juice on the corner of his mouth. Leaning forward, he licked the juice off of Lindir’s lips, “Mmmm, sweet.”

Lindir smiled, “Yes, you are,” he breathed before ravishing his mate’s mouth.
