SUMMARY: Fun with the LOTR

"I've won!" Casey shouted at the top of her voice,
"What have you won?" Annie said to her.
"I've won the Tolkien competition, I'm going to meet the cast, it will good to see the guys again."
"You jammy cow, how the hell did you manage that one?"
"I really don't know, I entered it about nine months ago and totally forgot all about it, I only did it for a laugh. Guess what, I can take a friend with me, interested?" Annies eyes grew so large Casey thought they were going to pop out her head and roll across the floor.
"Are you kidding me? Just try and stop me." After much discussion about what they were going to wear and do, Annie said to Casey
"You know Elijah will probably be there don't you?"
Casey hadn't thought about that one, it had been nearly 3 months since that stupid row and she had been to proud to back down and then refused to answer his phone calls, pretended she wasn't in when he came around knocking on the door, it all died away eventually, the calls stopped, the phone didn't ring anymore and she missed him terribly.
"Hey you, come back to this world" Annie shouted and Casey swung round to look at her.
"Oh god, what do I do about that one?" she asked.
"Well you could be polite and not stupid in front of everyone else," Annie replied.

The day of the meeting arrived, they had been to the hairdressers and treated themselves to a make over, Annie wore a beige dress overlaced in gold, absolutely perfect for her skin and hair colouring, Casey wore a jade top coupled with a black skirt, a perfect match for her newly acquired hair extentions which she proudly wore down.
"Don't we look a cracking pair?" Casey beamed "watch out boys, here we come, get ready for some action." they laughed.
The knock came on the door at 11am, precisely when it was appointed to. With much excitement they climbed in the limo and left.

The hotel that was booked was grand, "Hey Annie, you look like a dork, close your mouth," Casey said. She clapped her jaw shut so hard her teeth rattled and Casey was sure she felt the vibrations through the floor.
They had been allocated adjoining rooms on the top floor, only to find out that the cast of the LOTR were staying on that floor also.
"Oh this is going to be a dream, we've got a few hours before we are being picked up for the meeting, shall we go for a walk? I noticed there was a shopping centre over the road." Annie said.
"Yeah, but lets get out of these clothes and save them for tonight, we don't want to ruin them." After putting on skirt suits they left the rooms.
The lift opened and he stood there talking to Viggo, Casey turned her back and nearly fainted, She started back towards her room,
"Where are you going Casey?" Annie asked.
Shut up you dozy cow! she is looking for the door card, and remembered it was in Annies bag, she always carried a bag,
"If I walk back towards her, he'll see me, If I don't move he'll see me, oh hell here goes," Casey took a long hard swallow, followed with a good long sigh, turned round and stopped dead, he was right next to her.
"Um, hi," was all she managed, all inspiration was gone, she looked at Annie for it, she just stood there with a grin on her face,"I could knock that silly grin off right now," stood next to her looking rather amused was Viggo, she needed composure, her quick wit had abandoned her, just when she needed it most.
"Are you looking for this?" Elijah said holding her door card, the hallway started to spin,
"Not now, please, she thought desperatey, how could the baby take all the blood from her head now, The baby she had kept a secret from everyone except Annie,
"Are you ok?" he asked.
She felt someone or something catch her and the room went black.

Casey came round to a view of the hotel doctor, looked round the room, Annie sat beside her, and Elijah and Viggo were stood beside the bed looking rather worried, she tried to sit up, but the doctor said, "stay where you are young lady, when was the last time you had anything to eat?"
"Oh god, food, I hadn't even thought about it. Yesturday" she said guiltily.
"Uh huh, could someone order some food for her please," he said looking at the others, then looking back at Casey, "you must eat regularly."
She gave him a pleading look, then looked at the others, Annie was looking at her despairingly, Viggo looked amused and Elijah just stared.
"I need some time alone, would people mind leaving."
"That's a good idea," the doctor said, "are you going to stay with her?" he looked at Annie, she nodded and Viggo dragged Elijah out the door followed by the doctor.

"What the fuck do I do now? I know he knows, did you see the look on his face? how do I get out of this one?"
Annie looked at her friend and replied, "He doesn't know anything, but I think Viggo might have guessed." The food came and Casey ate heartily, and she began to feel better, now she could think more clearly.
Well I could do one or two things, I could pack up and go home with my tail between my legs or I could swallow my pride and go throught with it, If I left now it wouldn't be fair on Annie, she had been looking forward to this so much. Only one answer then, go tgo through this whole charade, I'd do it for her.
"I need some fresh air," Casey said.
"Ok, lets go for a walk," Annie replied. The hallway was empty, so was the lift.
They made their way down to the lobby, he was there talking to Dom, he saw her.
then dragging Dom with him he said
"Hey Dom, meet the love of my life," putting an arm around Caseys shoulders, she smiled at Dom, said hello, turned to Elijah and said
"Elijah darling, don't you remember, we broke up three months ago." then returning to smile at Dom, said "I'll see you later at the meeting," and the girls walked off.
"Ouch!" was all Annie said.
It felt good to have her quick wit back again,
"Yes, I'll be ok tonight, it'll be good." she smiled at Annie

A knock came at the door, it was the porter with a package in his hands, "Miss Garrott" he said, "for you, and an envelope also." she said thank you and took the parcel, she opened it and it was a royal blue dress accompanied with jewelry, the note "If you still care for me in anyway, wear it for me, Love E XX.
Annie gasped, "Its beautiful, are you going to wear it?"
"Yes, but not for him, only to show him I can still hold my head high despite everything."

The limo arrived and they were escorted to the lobby, and into the limo, the drive was only ten minutes away, upon entering the room a haud of cameras surrounded them, once they got passed the cameras there stood Viggo, he greeted Casey with a kiss on the cheek and Orlando did the same to Annie.
Casey found herself looking for him, he wasn't there.
"So why haven't you told him? a voice said. Shit, he knows, she cringed.
"Sorry, what did you say?" she heard but didn't want to.
"You heard me," Viggo said.
"I didn't know until after we broke off, by then it was to late and I wasn't going to run to him like a love sick teenager, I've got my pride, still intact,even after this afternoon, and anyway, we're not together anymore so it's got nothing to do with him."
"It's got everything to do with him, you may not be a love sick teenager but he sure is missing you, he still loves you deeply."
"What are you, his cupid matcher?" Casey snapped at him.
"Ok, I know when to back down," he implied, holding his hands out in front of him. she smiled and gave him a hug, he hugged back, god he felt good, his arms were strong, his body firm, she could get lost there.
"Hi there" a voice said, she let go of Viggo reluctantly and spun round to face Elijah, he stared at her.
"Thank you for the dress, it's lovely," Casey smirked, "it fits like a dream, I'm gald you remembered my size." He beamed at her, damn that smile, those blue eyes, they still made her heart skip a beat. "I'll speak to you later babe, I have to go and meet the rest of the cast now and Viggo is being an excellent host." That jabbed him, she could see the hurt in those beautiful eyes.
The evening was going well, she managed to stay away from Elijah, but everytime she looked at him he was looking at her.
"Hey, where have you been?" Casey said to Annie, "how dare you leave me in a room filled with beautiful men," she laughed. Annie had one hell of a twinkle in her eyes,
"I've been otherwise engaged," she smiled and looked towards Orlando, who beamed back at her from the otherside of the room.
"You didn't!" Casey exclaimed, she said nothing and just smiled, "You tart, I hope it was worth it,"
"Oh it was," she said, "Now where is your escort?"
"Hey, hands off, I plan to make him mine for tonight."
"Make who yours?" Viggo asked, Casey winced, Annie laughed.
"You and your big mouth Casey,"
"I plan to make you mine, just for the evening,"
"Only the evening?" he asked with a wicked smile on his face that would melt anyones heart, "come with me, I want to talk to you."
Talk! she stood solid, not moving, but he put a strong arm around her waist and she found she had no choice but to move.
She found the dominance exciting, Annie winked at her, half the room smiled at Viggo, Elijah stood there talking to Sean and purposly ignored her.

They walked outside to the roof garden, there was a definite chill in the air, Casey shivered.
"What are you up to in there?" Viggo said, "you're pselysely ignoring that boy and it's breaking him in two, what happened between you two that turned you so sour to him?"
"It was a stupid row, I was to proud to admit I was in the wrong, I didn't back down, I'd just found out I was pregnant and I was scared, I lashed out at everyone and everything, and poor Lij got the brunt of it."
"He said he tried for days to contact you, but you were never there and your phone was always switched off."
"I was ignoring him, I was so stupid, I...." she moved away from him and looked out across the the city lights glistening on the horizon.
"Do you still love him?"
"What difference does that make now, it's to late anyway." she shifted uncomfortably.
"Well do you?" Viggo demanded and walked over to her, grabbed her arm and spun her around so fast she nearly lost her balance, he caught her in both arms and locked her in an embrace. It felt good, there was that dominence again, that's what she needed, a strong man to put her in her place, to keep her there, but not break her spirit. she pulled away saying
"please let me go,I can't do this, it's nothing against you Viggo, you're a dream, I just can't with anyone and I don't know why."
"I do!" another voice said behind her, she looked up, it was sean Aston, "It's as plain as the stars in the sky. Would you like me to fly a banner behind a plane saying I love Elijah on it?"
Tears were welling up in her eyes. She turned and walked into the room, looked at Elijah who was staring at her and a tear fell down her cheek, then she bolted from the room.
Casey left the building and just walked and walked, it started to rain, hard.
