Chapter 3
Chapter 3
It was close to dusk when they at last reached the city gates. The guards standing on the wall opened the gates and knotted at the blond elf that had addressed the girls so rudely. Their mother had though the girls to speak in the Elvin language of Lothlorien and that of their father.
So they were able to follow their short conversation.
Sierra was still shooting evil glares at the back of the blond commanders head. A few of the other wardens were smiling and talking quietly between them selves. That was until the elf in question, shot them a deadly glair of his own, stopping their conversation in mid sentence. And hung their heads. Sierra smirked at them then turned to the view of the city in front of them.
The city was not on the ground but in the air in huge trees. The whole city seamed to glow in a silver light. It looked like something out of a sci-fi movie. The sight of the city was breath taking to behold to both girls. The leader had stopped to let them take it r fir fill.
Keira was smiling when she turned to look at Sierra. The look on her face made Keira giggle softly and put her arm around her older sisters shoulder. The commander of the Elvin guard was standing off to the side where, he could get a good look at the girl’s faces. Hee a e a small smile as well.
“Come my lady’s... Lady Galadriel awaits you.” He said as they started off for the winding stairs. When they at last reached the top, they stopped in front of a small stairway and waited. With in moments a tall beautiful Elvin lady, with long golden blond hair descended the stairs. There was a tall male at her side that was just a beautiful as his lady. Only his hair was almost silver in color.
“Welcome to Lothlorien daughters of Oropher! Long have we waited for your coming. I am called Galadriel and this is by husband Celeborn. I have contacted your brother King Thranduil and told him of your presence here in the golden wood. He will be here with the week.”
“We have a brother?” The girls said in union. Which brought a soft chuckle out of both the lord and the lady.
“Yes you have a brother. He rules the Elvin realm of Mirkwood. Which is only a five days ride on a swift horse.” Replied the lady.
“It has been long scenes we had twins in Lórien. If any of the males cause you any hardships just inform our March Warden Haldir.” Lord Celeborn said gesturing to the elf that was standing off to thght.ght.
The lady looked at each girl and smiled. “It is good that you are home at last Keira,” the lady said looking at her. “And you Sierra. I know you must be weary from your track. Haldir will show you to your Talon. There will be a sup brought to you in a little while. I will send Haldir by in the morning to bring you too the morning meal.”
With that Haldir held out his very large hand for the girls to follow him. He led them over bridges and up even more stairs. At last they arrived at a house built into the tree it’s self. He opened the door for them to pass him by. Once they were inside he smiled at them.
“If you need anything at all I am just a tree away.” He said pointing to the large talon in the next tree.
“Thank you March Warden.” Keira said with a bright smile. He smiled back at her and left. Keira quickly walked over to the door looking out. Trying to catch one last glance of him before he got out of sight. She leaned against the door and sighed.
“I think I am going to like it here Sea!” Sea wrapped his arms around her sister’s shoulders.
“Yeah I bet... He is a little way out of your league sis. I’d hate too see you get hurt.”
“Who says that I will get hurt Sea?” Keira asked taking one last look, then closed the door.
“He is not even human Keira!” Sierra said pulling Keira over to the couch, and pulling her down
to sit beside of her. Keira sighed leaning back against Sierra.
“Yeah well what are we then?” she asked smirking over her shoulder.
Sierra laughed softly “Point taken.”

Galadriel smiled as she looked out over the city she loved. She knew that by morning the whole of Lórien would be curious of the twins. As was the case when her grandsons came to visit from imladrs. She smiled again then turned to look at Haldir. Who had came back to turn in his boarreporeport.
“Tell me Haldir. What do you think of our new guests?” the lady asked taking her seat next to the open windows. She motioned for him to take a seat as well.
Haldir inclined his silver-blond head. After he was safely in his chair we smiled at her. “They will most likely turn the whole of Lórien on its ears! Never have I seen such beauty in an elleth before.” Haldir said softly. Once he realized that he had indeed side that out loud he turned a bright shade of red. Galadriel laughed and grasped his hand.
“Worry norchwrchwarden, I knew of what you speck. I would causation you. You can not have them both!” Haldir chuckled and blushed again.
Never in all his days had he expected the lady to say such things to him.
“I wouldn’t dream of it my lady.” He said after the shock of the lady comment had worn off.
“I want you to be their guide as long as they are in Lórien. Show them around our city. Make sure that they want for nothing. They have lived in a city of man their whole life. They know not our ways.”
“Yes my lady it will be my pleasure.” Haldir bowed his head then left the royal talon.
Haldir smiled as he past the twin’s talon. He was temped to stop and see if they needed anything. But then he thought that they may be already asleep. He had no desire to disturb their rest so he keep walking.
When he arrived at his front door. Orophin was sitting ageist the doorframe, waiting for him with a skin of wine sitting beside him. That was just what he needed after a long day’s march. He needed a good bath and some good elvin wine to clear his scenes.
“Keira what are we going to do about going back to our world? I like this place! I feel like this is where we belong. And you know, the one called Orophin is hot! He sort of looks like that March Warden guy. I wonder her if the elves in Mirkwood are that hot,” Sierra giggled with a small gleam in her eyes.
“I really don’t know. But I will tell you one thing. I’m in no hurry to find out. I like it here in Lorien. It would suite me fine if I never had to leave this place.”
“But what about our brother? Don’t you want to get to know him?” Sierra asked just as a soft knock sounded on the door.
“Yes I do, but that doesn’t have to mean we have to live in mirky woods or what ever it’s called.” Keira said as she opened the door to find Rumil standing on the other side.
“I have brought your evening meal my ladies. There will be a handmaiden here first thing in the morning, to help you with anything that you need. Until then, I will help you with anything that you are in need of.” The handsome Elf said with a smile.
“Please come in.” Keira said smiling as well.
Rumil past by Keira and sat the tray of food on the small table in the kitchen.
He could not help but to look on at the Mirkwood princesses in awl. They were everything that he would expect of a Mirkwood princess. Tall and slim of body with the long pale blond hair, reaching past their hips. It wasn’t the sliver blond, that more often an not the Lorien elves were born with. You could almost call it a golden blond. And their eyes were the most beautiful blue he had ever seen.
He could most defiantly see what had taken his brothers by surprise when the twins came walking out of the crystal cavern. Rumil chuckled again as he turned to find the twins standing in the doorway watching him.
“You two havee soe something this day, that I would have never thought possible.” Rumil said still chuckling at the memory.
“What might that be?” Sierra replied smiling her self.
“You rendered my brothers speechless. When you walked out of the crystal caverns, their mouths dropped, almost to the forest floor. Never have I seen them reduced to almost elfling like behavior over an elleth.”
“What is an elleth?” asked the twin in perfect union, bringing another chuckle out of the warden.
“A elleth is a elf maiden. Our lord and lady have twin grandsons that do the same thing at times. Do you finish each others sentences as well?’
“Yes we," Keira said smiling as Sierra said. “ do sometimes...”
“I thought as much. Maybe someday you will get to meet Elladan and Elrohir. But I warn you they are notorious pranksters."
“Really in what way?” Sierra asked pushing away from the doorframe and walking up the table and snagging a piece of fruit off the tray and popping it into her mouth.
“Well once they put dye in lord Celeborn’s soap. It turned his skin purple for a week. Then there was the time when they put honey in Haldir’s quiver. Then slipped a bee nest in one of Orophin’s boots.” Rumil said chuckling. “I just knew I was going have to go and tell the lord and lady that my brothers had killed their grandsons.”
“Oh my god I would have killed them dead!” Sierra snickered.
“He did find the nest before he put the boot on?” Keira asked smiling as well.
“Yeah Orophin always checks his boots anyway when they are around. But Haldir didn’t find the honey until he was in the training yards." he said chuckling again Unfortunately they have rubbed off on Legolas. He sometimes acts just like them.”
“Who is Legolas? Will we meet him?” Sierra asked still snickering.
“Yes I’m hoping that he will come with his father King Thranduil.”
Rumil said softly. “It has been long scene I have seen him.” He said sadly.
“Why is that.” Keira asked sitting down at the table. “Please have a seat with us we know that you must be tired as well.”
“Oh I’m alright. We Galadhrim are use to walking for long periods of time." Rumil replied sighing deeply. "Thranduil found out that Legolas and I were lovers, and forbid him to ever come back to Lorien again.”
The twins looked at each other then surged their shoulders. “Do elves take the same sex as lover often?” Sierra asked. Getting a swift kick in her shin as a result.
“Hey what in the hell was that for Kei?” Sierra snap
“Sea that is none of your business! Love is love no matter what form it comes in!”
“I’m sorry if I offended you Rumil. I meant no disrespect.” Sierra said hanging her head down.
“It’s common in most of the Elvin realms. But Thranduil wants Legolas to bond with a female so he can produce hires to the Mirkwood throne. But now that you are here maybe he will reconsider.” Rumil said with hope gleaming in his eyes for the first time in many long years.
