Author's Notes for story: This fic takes place mostly in Lothlorien. Some of the male elves are born with the ability to carry elflings. Yes, I know this has be done before :p Legolas is one of them, and so are Elladan and Elrohir. These male elves are treated much differently then other males, or even females. They are the most rare and most protective, if sometimes over protected elves. This means Elrond did not let Elladan and Elrohir did not go out orc hunting to avenge their mother. Of course he didn't discourage Arwen from doing so.I am just putting the ages they would be in human terms, this is easier for me to do. Order of ages from olderst to youngest Haldir 30, Orophin 27, Elladan 23, Erohir 23, Arwen 21, Legolas 19, and Rumil 16. Yes, I made Rumil the youngest instead of Legolas.

Chapter 3
Legolas stands in the kitchen area preparing dinner.
Haldir will be back soon, and Legolas doesn't want to
get into any more trouble. He is rushing now, because
after what happened earlier, he has overslept.

"Anybody home?" a voice calls from outside the door.

"Come in Elladan, I am in the kitchen " Legolas yells
out, he doesn't have to time to go and open the door.
' I wonder why he is here. I thought he went riding
with 'Phin'

"Where is 'Phin at?" he asks as soon as his friend
enters the room.

"Now how would I know where my brother's husband is
at?" the other replies, and grins widely.

"Elrohir!" Legolas exclaims and rushes over to his
friend, whom he hasn't seen for months, and hugs him.
He cringes because his body hurts, but doesn't want
Elrohir to know this, so doesn't pull back from the
embrace

"I missed you too, my friend. I suppose you have no
clue where my brother is," Elrohir replies then sighs.

"He went out riding with 'Phin. I think they will be
back soon. They are going to eat here tonight, "
Legolas informs him " Oh no, I don't have enough food
for two more," he cries out.

"You look like you have enough for several more then
two, besides it's just one more extra, " Elrohir
informs his panicked friend.

"What do you mean only one? Where is Erestor at? Is he
staying somewhere else? Did you two fight?" Legolas
asks concerned for his friend.

"I am the only one who came. Erestor is back home,
where he is staying, I hope. Yes, we kind of had a
fight. He didn't want me to travel here. " Elrohir
replies.

"You didn't come alone did you?" Legolas inquires
looking shocked at his friend ' He couldn't have done
something that idiotic, could he?'

"Who didn't come alone?" Haldir asks from behind them,
causing both Legolas and Elrohir to jump and let out
startled yipes.

"What's going on?" Orophin inquires as he came up
behind his brother, followed closely by Elladan.

"Elrohir!" Elladan yells out, then runs towards his
twin and embraces him. " Oh how I have missed you" he
cries out.

"And I you," Elrohir replies and hugs his twin
tightly. It has been six months since Elladan visited
home and he which was the longest they had been apart.

Legolas watches his friends hug each other and smiles.
Then sighs and looks down. ' I wish Haldir would hug
me now. Not likely he is mad at me.' he says to
himself. Then gasps in shock as Haldir pulls him into
a hug.

"Love you," Haldir whispers into Legolas' ear, then
tilts his head up and kisses him on the lips.

"Love you too," Legolas replies and studies his
husband's expressions.

"I am still going to punish you for what you did
today, but I am no longer angry," Haldir whispers then
hugs Legolas a bit longer before letting go.

Legolas bows his head again and walks away from his
husband ‘ I am always going to be in trouble I can’t
do anything right,’ he mentally scowled himself and he
rubs his stomach.

Haldir turns his attention back to Elrohir and says "
Now what is this about you coming alone?"

"Uh.. well.. Yes..Erestor is back home." the
dark-haired young elf informs the others.

"You are telling us that you traveled all the way from
Imladris to here alone?" Haldir asks

"Yes," Elrohir replies nodding his head as he does so.

"Without an escort?" Orophin adds, looking shocked at
his brother-in-law.

"Yes," Elrohir answers nervously, as he studies the
others in the room.
"Of all the idiotic and stupid things to do. You are
in so much trouble" Haldir growls out. He walks over
to a chair and pulls it out. Sits down and motions for
Elrohir to come to him. " Come here, NOW!" he orders.

Elladan steps in front of his twin and looks straight
at Haldir "You are not going to punish my brother," he
hisses out through his teeth.

"Elladan!" Orophin scowls his wife. He is quite
shocked and somewhat impressed that his wife is
standing up to Haldir, but he can't just let him do it
without saying something. Maternal males didn’t do
such things.

"No, Orophin. He is not going to spank Elrohir for
this," Elladan informs his husband.

"Thanks, Elladan," Elrohir states happily glad that
his brother is on his side as always.

"He is not going to spank Elrohir this time, because I
am," Elladan declares before grabbing Elrohir's arm
and dragging the shocked elf into Haldir`s and
Legolas' bedroom.

Elrohir lies across Elladan's lap, with his leggings
pulled down and his tunic flipped up over his back,"
Please, Elladan don't spank me. I love you," he begs.

"I love you too, my beloved twin. This is why I am
going to spank you until you can't sit for weeks,"
Elladan replies before bringing his hand down and
swatting his twin sharply *smack*

"Ouch," Elrohir cries out and jerks forward on his
twin's lap. He bits his lip and whimpers.

"How *smack* could *smack* you do something *smack* so
stupid Ro *smack* *smack* *smack* ?" Elladan asks as
he spanks him.

"Sorry *smack* sorry, " Elrohir gasp out. 'Please
brother please '

"Do you not *smack* care about *smack* how I feel?'
the older twin asks sounding hurt and angry.

"I care I*smack* really really care, *smack* 'Ladan,"
Elrohir cries out

"Do you *smack* know how*smack* I would feel if you
died?*smack* I would die*smack* too, and Ada*smack*
and Arwen*smack*, and others so many others.*smack*"
Elladan inquires he too begins to cry. Just the
thought of what could have happened is eating away his
mind.

"I didn't mean*smack* to make*smack* you so upset.
*smack*I just wanted to tell you *smack*something face
to face," Elrohir wails out

"You could have*smack* waited until Erestor
*smack*decided to come.*smack* Adar told
*smack**smack*me, you and Erestor were planning on
coming *smack*in two months," Elladan states

"It couldn’t' wait and he wouldn't let me come now. I
wanted to tell you now," Elrohir replies

"What is so important, that you needed to tell me now
and place yourself in danger," Elladan inquires as he
continues to spank Elrohir turning the slightly
younger elf's bottom red.

"I am pregnant, " Elrohir sobs out and Elladan stops
spanking.

Elrohir cries and lets his body go limp. This is not
how he planned on telling his twin the news. It was
supposed to be at dinner face to face not while he was
bent over his knee.

" ELROHIR ELRONDION, HOW COULD YOU BE SO SELFISH!!?"
Elladan yells out after recovering from the shock of
what he has just been told.

"What??" Elrohir asks then screeches as his butt is
hit by a paddle *crack*

"You did not *crack* only endanger *crack* yourself
but your child *crack* as well, just so you *crack*
could tell me in *crack*person," Elladan scowls then
swats his brother several times without saying a word
*crack* *crack* *crack* *crack* *crack* *crack*
*crack* *crack* *crack*

"I am sorry please 'Ladan please please I didn't
realize it was endangering my child. I wouldn't
please, " Elrohir begs, and Elladan stops swatting
him.

Elladan twists his upper body so he is lieing with his
chest against Elrohir's back and his chin rests on
Elrohir's left shoulder. He begins to cry and listens
to his twin sobbing out how sorry he is.

He just lies there in this strange embrace, close to
his twin. He knows he doesn't have to say anything
Elrohir knows what he is feeling now.

Orophin carefully lifts Elladan's upper body off of
Elrohir's back. Haldir then gently picks up Elrohir,
and Orophin lifts Elladan into his arms. Then they
carry to twins out of the room.

"Dinner was wonderful, Legolas, "Orophin whispers to
Legolas who is standing near the doorway leading out
of his and Haldir's home.

"Thank you," Legolas replies softly

"We are going to take them back to Orophin's, then I
am coming back," Haldir informs his wife.

Legolas nods then says " I am going to go rest until
you return. I am feeling a little sleepy now." and
walks to the bedroom.

Rumil walks into the room his brother are in and "I am
going out. I will be back later," he announces as he
brushes past his older brothers.

"Rumil please keep your voice down," Orophin whispers
causing the elfling to stop and turn.

"Oh sorry, I didn't notice," Rumil whispers sounding
ever so sorry.

"You are not going out tonight, Rumil," Haldir informs
his youngest brother.

"What??" Rumil gasps out " I have to go practice my
archery. I didn't do it today, yet," he pouts.

"Keep your voice down. I told you are not going, and
that is final. Unless you want a sore backside, Rumil,
I suggest you stop looking at me that way," Haldir
scowls.

"Fine!" Rumil yells out and stomps back into his room.


Elladan and Elrohir both begin to wake, but Haldir and
Orophin manage to sooth them back to sleep, then
leave.

He hears them leave, and quickly grabs his blade
again. He places it to his left arm and slices it
across cutting shallowly but still deep enough to
cause pain ~*~ Yes cut bleed, pain need pain you need
pain go on, cut more freak cut NOW!~*~ the voice in
his head snarls out, and he does.
