Disclaimer: It's only the third time I'm doing this and it already tires me! Nothing of this is mine except my own characters! You now the rest so don't bother me ;p!

Author's Note: Here it is: the third chap.!! I must confess it is way easier when it is already writen...
Depending on the feed-back I'll recieve I'll decide on wether or not I'll continue to post this.

Chapter 3

Harshly breathing, she forced herself to regain control over her own mind and body.

It had not been the first time she'd been drifting on like that. Except that this time it had been way more realistic than any of the other times she felt herself being overwhelmed by memories like that!

Regaining her posture she readied her keen senses hoping to find out whatever had, in a way, saved her.

Discretely running her eyes through every little clearing, every tree, every branch she easily noticed that she was definitively not alone. The way the wind blew the trees' foliage and the sound it made blowing through the leafs were almost as voices speaking to her, and as every elf, all of those things were intelligible and made all perfect sense to her.

She took a long and deep breath, trying to sense the smell of whatever was following her, or at least a smell that could tell her what it was. Nothing! ... The wind was blowing oppositely, leaving her still clueless.

She was now beginning to worry_ she was completely unarmed and too far from the village to cry for help if she was to be attacked. Her heart begun to race! Had those memories been a warning? She could often predict things and some situations, in case of danger for example, but she just couldn't quite make out if this was the case.

And there it was again: the sound of footsteps, very near and very light. At least one thing she was now certain of: it was no orc! Their heavy and destructive footsteps left no space for mistakes. It had to be a small creature, and certainly no elf.

To try and keep that advantage in her favour, she just acted has she had heard nothing and simply continued walking on, slowly and steadily, now under the pouring rain.

She kept on walking for about 500 meters: she was now entering a large and quite grassy clearing near a water stream. It was a lot quieter there and she could now make a lot more and better use of her hearing senses. It didn't take much time for her to hear sounds again_ sounds of breathing and of light footsteps over some fallen leaves on the floor_ closing inher.her. A playful smile immediately appeared on her face, enlightening her beautiful features.

She finally stopped, leaning over a nearby tree, just waiting, waiting for the right timing.

She could now hear its heart beating and almost feel its warmth. They were now mere inches apart. Suddenly, she turned around jumping onto the small creature, now in front of her.

They were quickly falling to the ground so she just wrapped her arms tenderly around it. They fell on the grass and started rolling all over the place. Giggles and youthful laughs now filled the air as the two girls now played amusingly and freely.

They finally stopped after some minutes like this. She was tenderly holding a small child, a human girl, in her arms. Still smiling and gasping for air, she looked at her.

"Hello Isilme!!"

"What are you doing outside and in such weather, Lani?" _ she asked looking at that sweet little thing wrapped up in her arms.

"You left early this morning and told no one where you were going. I knew you were coming here, so I decided to follow you. I wanted to play a trick on you! ... It is not fair: you can always hear me!"_ the little one argued back now faking an angry look.

Isilme laughed and looked down at the girl and gasped. ‘You irresponsible thing!’ she growled inwardly as she inspected their completely soaked and muddied clothes. Not even their hair had escaped and was now a dumped mass of waa eaa earth.

Realising their state Isilme turned to Lani: "Come on! We should get you home before you catch a cold or worse, before your mother gets a heart attack and sends out the entire village looking for you!...". At the sound of this the small one nodded. Taking a last breath of that sweet and fresh smell of wet grass, Isilme raised from the ground carrying Lani her arms. She then headed towards the village.

Author's Note: I know it's short! Sorry!!!! I promise the next one will be bigger and better. But pleeeeeeeeeeaaaaaaaasssssssseeeeeeeeee review!! It is really important to me: I LOVE moral support! The writing comes easier that way. I'll try to post the next chapter ASAP. *********
