Legolas awoke as the first beams of sunlight fell on his face, groaning softly he remembered Haldir was going to pick him up in a while so he got up and dressed himself in a soft green tunic, his leggings were black.
Sighing softly he ate his breakfast and waited.
Haldir was already up for some hours, having to prepare some things for the day and smiled when he was done. Making his way up to Legolas’ talan he wondered if he should bring a gift, but decided not to, so that Legolas wouldn’t suspect anything just yet. He stood in front of the door for quite some time before he knocked on the door.
Legolas was in a cheerful mood and opened the door and said, “Good day Haldir”
Haldir smiled and said, “Good day…so think you’re up for some fun today?” He was quite surprised that Legolas acted very distant to him, he didn’t show any signs of his fantasies, it impressed him.
Legolas smiled and said, “I’m always up for a bit of fun” He took his bag and weapons just in case he needed them and followed Haldir to the stables.
Haldir smiled, having prepared the horses already. He mounted his horse and rode off, but in a slow pace.
Legolas smiled and quickly followed, not wanting to waste any time.
Haldir rode fast through the forest, looking for that special place he had in mind. He smiled when he found it and dismounted his horse.
Legolas saw it and followed Haldir quietly, gasping when he saw the place; it was beautiful, surrounded by the most beautiful flowers one could only dream of and big willows stood tall around the small lake, a little stream made it look all the more peaceful and romantic, though Legolas didn’t seek anything behind it.
Haldir smiled and said, “I don’t usually show people this place, in fact, you’re the first, except for my brothers”
Legolas blushed sad said, “Why me? I mean surely you’d like better to bring a good looking maiden here than me”
Haldir smiled and said, “It wouldn’t spring to my mind to bring a maiden here, since this is a really special place to me, if I bring a maiden here and find that I do not like her…she may bring others here and I do believe I can trust you with this. And good looking, let’s say you’re not less than that”
Legolas blushed even more and stripped off his clothes except his swimwear that he had already put on at home and slowly moved into the water.
Haldir did the same and went in, keeping an ever close eye on Legolas.
Legolas smiled sweetly at him and said, “I must say you do honour me with this Haldir, thank you for showing me this astonishing place”
Haldir smiled and said, “You are most welcome” He hesitantly moved closer to Legolas and said, “You truly are beautiful”
las las blushed, bot the the compliment as of the awkward comment.
Haldir stood now face to face with Legolas, he could feel Legolas’ breath blowing on his face. So close, he could almost kiss him…Should he? He didn’t know if it was the right thing to do, but knew he had to try.
Slowly he leaned in and pressed his lips ever so gently on Legolas’.
Legolas was startled, but when he realized what was going on he loved nothing more than to just return the kiss, but yet, he pushed Haldir away. Not wanting to give in, knowing that if he did, he wouldn’t be able to give it up.
Haldir was confused, speechless even, when Legolas pushed him away. He looked at him and said, “I’m sorry, I didn’t…Why?”
Legolas looked at him and said, “I’m not like that Haldir, that’s really disgusting. Disgraceful!”
Haldir sighed softly, he knew Legolas wanted it, why else would he fantasize about it? Looking at Legolas he said softly, “Are you sure about that? I mean…I know it may sound strange to you, but I really do love you. I don’t know who gave you the idea that it’s disgraceful, but trust me, love is love, it knows no boundaries, love is still love even between two of the same gender. Give me the chance to proof it”
Legolas looked at him, sincere sadness in his eyes as he said, “It is foul, I will not ever give it a chance, it is disgusting. This was a wrong idea, I better go”
Haldir looked at and and said, “No…Please stay, I will not do it again”
Legolas looked at him and said, “I know, cause I’m not giving you the chance to do so” He got out of the water and dried himself off and dressed, mounting his horse before looking back at Haldir one last time before he rode off.
Haldir felt a small tear role down as his last hope faded away when Legolas left, sighing he got out of the water and dressed as well. After mounting his horse he rode slowly back to the city.
Legolas rode to Celeborn’s talan and ran up the stairs, seeing he had no choice but to leave, he had to avoid falling in love with Haldir even more. He knocked on the door and waited.
