I do not own the Lord of the Rings (and associated) book series, nor any of the characters from it. I do not make any money from the writing of this story.
Gone
"Why?" I screamed, knowing full well there was no one on arda who couldn't hear me.
Abruptly, my scream turned to a deep, throaty moan of pleasure. A taste enters my mouth.
Dark and sweet, light and airy, everything that perfection is. You smelt so wonderously of Asphodel and cloves.
"Alcar-nîn, ai, meleth-nîn." a soft whispered memory of you, hands snaking down my flesh, innocence overcome by lust. The instinct overwhelming the apparent lack of knowledge.
One last kiss, after I swept you into my arms and held you there for the rest of Ithil's nightly reaign, till Arien broke the morning and brushed away the stars...
Gone.
I see you in the marble-floored center of my favourite garden, dancing. Your arms rising and falling, while your legs sweep elegently across the ground, your hips swirling in a way that is just above indecent.
Your voice, ai! Ravens lost their baseless vanity, and nightengales fell silent at the sound of your perfect voice. Eight octaves, I still remember, even Lindir gave way to your talent, far above his own.
You finish your softly woven song, and I only catch the last verse:
"How they dance in the courtyard,
Sweet summer sweat.
Some dance to remember,
Some dance to forget."
You turn around to face me, and don't seem at all startled, though a shy grin lights up your already radiant face.
I plucked a flower nearest to me, it was a cala lily, blood red. I told you, right then for the first time,
"Im mela lle."
A tear fell down your face, scooped into the curve of the lily.
"Elrond..." you began, "an uir."
Gone.
(A/n: Okay, okay, been a long time, haven't expanded the characters much, and the elvish was my poor attempt, hate me if you want, I really am sorry about that. This chapter was dedicated to all my friends on the Loes-Valthen Forums, inless they are too ashamed to admit it. Also, the four lines are from the song "Hotel California" by The Eagles, and if you needed me to tell you that...I hate you. REVIEW!!!)
Alcar-nîn, ai, meleth-nîn- My glory, oh, my love.
Im mela lle- I love you
an uir- for eternity
