"Semar, get in here you foolish elf. I need you to bandage up this wound for me again. Pick up your feet, and come here."

Huor growled through his teeth and Semar obeyed coming from the other side, and picking up the few clean bandages located on the bedside table.

"All right. I am coming, be patient Huor."

Semar replied as he arranged the bandages and he helped Huor up into the siting position.

He placed the layers of the clean clothing on the wound and he placed the clean bandages upon it, careful not to hurt his patient, whose wound was only half healed.

He dreaded those questions Huor would surely ask him and he glanced at the advisor's serious face, trying to find out his hidden thoughts.

And as the Semar had predicted, so it had been.

Huor couldn't help himself as he acquired some kind of explanation from Semar, and he was puzzled why Stinah was so intimately touching Semar few minutes ago.

He knew those touches were the meaning of something more going on between these two.

Semar quickly wrapped the rest of the bandages around Huor's waist and he glanced up again at Huor's face, fearing what he may see on there.

"Semar, what is going on between you and that guard Stinah."

The question was asked in simplicity and it required the honest answer, which Semar was so reluctant to give.

"What do you mean, Huor. I am afraid I do not know what you are rambling about."

Semar innocently responded but Huor knew that the other elf was telling him a lie.

The answer he got was so covered in a fakery and Huor knew that Semar was being dishonest.

"I am not blind elfling, Semar. I saw you two being ... well, Stinah was being so familiar with you. He was touching you in a way the lovers touch each other. If I didn't know any better I could have swore you two are in a relationshBut But that thought is ridiculous."

Huor chuckled and he saw Semar becoming pale, which was a usual sign that he was being cross with older advisor.

"And why is a thought of me being with someone so ridiculous. Well, maybe what you had assumed about me and Stinah is a real truth. And what if I told you that me and him had been together for a month. Would that surprise you, Huor?"

Semar sneered at the advisor and he saw Huor shift uncomfortably as he tried to figure out if the things Semar had told him were true or some kind of the cruel jest.

"I ... what. Is that a truth, Semar? Is he your lover?"

Hour reluctantly asked and he gazed at the other elf, trying to see what games the younger elf was playing.

"Yes, it is the truth. Stinah is my lover, Huor."

Semar lied and he bit his lip very painfully when he saw the shock covering Huor's handsome face.

"I cannot believe this. You are laying. That cannot be." Huor started mumbling and he pierced the other one with gaze of fury, as he tried to comprehend all that he had heard those few moments ago.

"I am afraid it is true. We have been together for a month now. I am sorry that came as a shock to you, but I thought you knew."

Semar glanced again at the other elf because Huor became confused as he moved his body from left to right and he tried to find some comfortable position he could settle in.

Huor held in himself the mixed feelings that wanted to surface out, but his strong mind kept them locked.

He felt that strange wave of jealousy stinging his heart and he looked at Semar again as he tried to compose some form of the reply.

"Oh, I didn't know that. I am very happy for you, and I wish you both the best in your life together. I promise you my hands will never touch you again in any inappropriate manner, Semar, because after all I do not want any jealous guard slashing my throat."

Those words were the only one Huor managed to say without releasing the bitter tone and he stared ahead as he said it, avoiding the other elf's exploring eyes.

"Oh my only foe giving me blessing in my happy hour. I never thought I would live to hear that."

Semar said in the soft tone, but he felt horrible inside because this lie had clearly shaken his beloved.

He could see the light in those handsome eyes had become dimmer and he already had regretted for admitting this fake lie to him.

"I am glad you are happy with someone, and I for surely am not the one who considers you a foe. I never considered you my enemy Semar, and for what this admission now counts, I really liked you in some ways. Yes, it is shocking to know that you are now involved with Stinah, but I will get over the fact that I cannot steal the kiss from your lips anymore."

Huor looked at Semar and the small flash of hidden agony radiated from the older elf, but he covered it quickly enough by averting his eyes and glaring at the vase on the table.

"You are liar. You never liked me. You only wanted to take me to your bed so you can celebrate your victory after you are rid of me. You are a lying bastard."

Semar hissed but Huor didn't even budge to look at the other one as he responded with the simplicity of the words.

"You may think whatever you like, Semar. I am not going to defend myself nor am I going to start another meaningless fight. I said what was in my heart and my admission is enough for me. Anyway, shouldn't you be staying in your lover's rooms. I think it is really inappropriate for you to be staying with me, right now. People may get wrong ideas about this."

Huor asked Semar and the other one squirmed in the bed, as he felt like he was going to perish inside.

He was not happy because the lie he told was unforgivable, but now there was no way back, and he had to endure this feeling of uneasiness that poked at his heart.

"I...he is also sharing a room with someone and he is a guest in that room. I assure you that I would rather be with him at this moment than with you, but there are no more available rooms in Imladris. Now, you need to stop moving in your bed and try to settle down, Huor. You look foolish to me, wiggling about like you have thousands worms up your behind."

Huor turned himself around so he was facing the wall, away from Semar's prying eyes.

He wanted to be alone and to think for a while, but he couldn't ask for the other elf to leave the room.

Huor wasn't facing Semar's gaze right now but he could feel that Semar was exploring him, in a way nobody had ever dared before.

He closed his eyes in a lame attempt to drift asleep but he couldn't settle his whirling mind and persuade it to go to blissful dreamlike state.

"Huor are you all right. Do you need something. Are you hungry. I could go and fetch something for you."

Semar asked in concern and he wondered why Huor acted so strangely, and why was he withdrawing from this conversation.

He never saw Huor looking like this and it scared him to think what had possessed older elf to act so unlike himself.

"Nay I am not hungry right now. I think I shall go to sleep."

Huor said as he yawned, trying to convince the other elf he was fine, but fine or great wasn't the word that he had felt right now.

He felt somewhat jealous and confused, and his head had started hurting, but he tried his very best to hide his emotions from the younger elf, knowing that Semar wouldn't care how he felt at this moment.

He wanted some peace from his thoughts and he wanted to sort some things in his head, which were very confusing to him.

"Okay. I shall let you rest for a while."

Semar replied and he felt the small prickling of the tears threatening to get out, but he just wiped his eyes preventing those betraying drops to fall.

He felt like he had done most terrible thing in this world and the lying to the one he cared about was the dirtiest of all.

He wanted to admit to the other elf that relationship with Stinah was a lie, but he couldn't find the strength to do so.

Huor on the other hand was battling his inner turmoil as he tried to deny the obvious, but every time he lost the battle with his heart.

He knew he was in love, and his heart tried to tell him it was the truth, but his body and mind rejected every mentionable fact that could destroy his very essence, that which was his living seductive soul.

He squeezed the pillow he was laying upon as the swirling and buzzing in his head continued nonetheless, making him crazy inside of his head.

He didn't know what was happening to him, but he knew that he needed to be alone while this passed through him, and the battle inside of him subsided and died together with his menacing heart.

He turned very quickly and he snarled at the Semar, surprising both of them as he did that action.

His eyes were drowned in hate and Semar flinched as he saw that hate was pointed toward him and his heart dropped in his chest.

"Semar, leave my room this instant. I want to be alone and your presence here is bothering me. I cannot sort this noise ... in my head if you keep breathing down my back."

Semar was shocked beyond the belief as he encountered all that pent up fury coming from his secret beloved and he stood in the middle of the room trying to figure out what to do.

"But you do not feel well. I cannot leave you now."

Semar said in the soft voice but he was discouraged because that cold gaze was still there, pointed at him like the wavering flag.

"I can take care of myself, you know. Please leave me. I need my peace."

Huor turned his back to the younger elf and Semar just took off without the word. Semar started running down the halls in the search for his own resolution, trying so hard to escape those last few hurting moments he spent in the Huor's room.

His blond hair wavered around him as he ran with the tears in his eyes, not knowing where to go or what to do.

He finally remembered Stinah and his encouraging words and he knew he needed to go to his friend for advice.

He decided it was a best thing to let Huor calm himself a little and then he would talk to him in a reasonable way.

But right now he needed Stinah's advice and he headed toward the library to find out where the Haldir's room was located.

*~*~*~*

"Ada, we have been patient and we had let you have five minutes to collect yourself. Now we need for you to speak. We need some explanations. This is all so confusing to us."

Elrohir started to ask the questions and Elrond deeply sighed, hoping his sons wouldn't be mad while he told them about his final decision concerning this upcoming marriage.

"Yes, I shall start speaking. I honestly do not know where to start, but I shall do my very best while I try to explain all of this."

Elrohir glanced at this brother who was looking like all of this didn't concern him very much and he elbowed his twin, making him more aware of the things he should pay attention to.

Elladan in turn pinched his brother's butt, and Elrohir gasped at his twin's bluntness as he checked if their father saw this.

Elrond opened his mouth in disbelief when he saw where Elladan's hand had ventured and he bit his lip, reminding himself to talk to the twins about this shameless display, later.

"Yes, for instance, could you explain to me how you came to be engaged to Lord Arthon. I think we both are dying to hear that one."

Elrohir chuckled and he savored the feel of the hand on his ass, but Elrohir removed it as he saw his father becoming irritated by their present behavior.

"Well, it is a long story. But I will start by saying that this marriage was your grandmother's arrangement between her and Lord Athon.A couple of moons ago she had a vision about Imladris and it was a most horrible vision she ever had. She saw Imladris falling under the hands of evil and then she saw the warrior who was destined to save this place. The warrior she saw was Arthon, and marriage with him would make an alliance which would be savior of Imladris. As you have heard from the tales, he is an expert in fighting evil and his warriors are the strongest one Arda possesses. I know this is all confusing for you as it was for me when I first heard it, but try to bear with me while I come to the end of this."

"Our grandma arranged the marriage for you. I mean how could she when you are still married to our mother. You cannot marry Arthon because my mother didn't release you from the bond." Elrohir loudly observed and Elrond sighed again, dreading as he was about to deliver other shocking news to his sons."

"Elrohir, Elladan I do not how to say this to you, but your mother ... She did release me from our marriage."

Elrond pulled the letters from his side pocket and he gave it to his younger son.

"In this letter she had released me from our vows and before you go and judge her because she did that, you should really read this letter."

Elrohir took the letter from his father and Elladan moved to sit behind his brother as they started to read Celebrian's letter.

Elrohir turned to his father when he finished reading both of the letters and he came to his side, squeezing his shoulders in the comforting motion.

"Father do you really need to marry Arthon. Isn't there the other way we could save our realm from the doom."

Elrohir glanced at his who who just finished reading the letter and he saw that Elladan's expression had changed into vulnerable one.

He felt that his brother was emotional from reading the last letter their mother had written since she went away and he felt that same melancholy go through him too.

"I wish I knew the way, but I surely cannot see it. I've tried to think what to do and I tried to pull some solution from any sources I could think of, but nothing came to my mind. I think that my marriage with Arthon is our only resolve."

"But father, you cannot possibly think that marrying him will make you happy. He is Lord Arthon, and he will make your life miserable, father. I heard that he is not a marrying type."

Elrohir said in a panicky voice and he knew that his fathers decision was somehow made out of the fear for this realm, and he finally understood that his father would sacrifice even himself to save their home.

"Maybe you judge to harshly, gwador. Maybe he is not all that bad, and maybe the alliance with him would bring prosperity to this realm. I saw his warriors in action once and I must say it was a breathtaking sight to see. Five years ago, to be exact I saw ten Arthon's warriors clear the woods where fifty orcs had made their camp. Just ten of them did the job of the thirty men. It was amazing, gwador. Their skills are indeed legendary."

This time Elladan had something to say and Elrohir was surprised that his brother had accepted this rather easily.

"But they will be married, brother. They will have to share a bed, be lovers and follow all those horrid marriage traditions. Doesn't that thought make you a bit uneasy? Our father is rather old to be groom or a bride at the wedding. All of this is so disturbing."

Elrohir shuddered and Elrond arched his eyebrow when he heard his son and he shook his head not believing his youngest son could be so childish.

"Excuse me, young one. I do not look that old for my age and by my looks I could get married ten more times if I wish to do so. No, I am not looking forward to this alliance, but if this is the only thing that can save my home, I will gladly do it. Right now this seems to be only way."

"Elrohir, you brainless cretin. What had I told you about messing with father and this age discussion? The people of his age are offended when you call them, well, old, older or even oldest. And try to look at the bright side of our fathers marriage. Soon we will be getting one more brother, and our already populated family will grow."

Elladan smiled at his brother and Elrohir came to his twins side, seating himself next to him.

"Oh No father, you are not pregnant. Are you ?" Elrond shook his head when he heard Elrohir's playful voice and he knew that those two had found some kind of the amusement out of teasing their own father.

"Hum Elrohir I wasn't talking about our father bearing a child. I was talking about our soon to be half-brother Minan. He is Arthon's son, you know."

"Ahh Minan. I forgot that Lord Arthon has a son. Hmmm...I wonder what he's like. Is he like Arthon or is he like his mother? If his attitude is the same as his father's, I think I will not like him that much."

"Me either, but we can give a poor bloke a fair chance. Father is he going to be at your wedding. Do you know."

Elladan asked his father and the other one pulled himself from his thoughts when he heard the twin's voice.

"Yes, he is coming in two weeks with his mother and they will attend our wedding. Your grandmother and grandfather will also be coming from Lothlorien. Valar help me when I say this, but this will be an interesting wedding."

Elrond collected his robe around himself and he settled himself down more comfortably in the chair, waiting for the twin's questions to cease.

Elrond smiled when he heard that playful bickering between the twins and that reminded him of some merrier times when he did the same with his own brother.

So in the sudden feeling of loneliness his thoughts pulled him somewhere he was happier within, leaving his sons to start another silly debate.
