Cowgirls, a very long and hard ride!

Legolas and Jenny were on the dance floor when they heard a commotion over in the corner. They hurriedly walked over to see what was causing the turmoil and to there disbelief they saw Orlando carrying Lady Chrissy.
Jenny bolted over to see what was wrong with her friend and Legolas followed behind her to see what he could do to help. She was asking what had happened and Lady Galadriel would not answer. They rushed her to Lord Elrond’s healing room to see what caused her to clasp.
Lord Elrond hurriedly went to the healing room and Orlando followed with Lady Chrissy in his arms. He could not believe that she was ill and there was nothing he could do.
Lady Galadriel asked Orlando on the way what happened and he explained to her that she vomited and then clasped. She knew exactly what was wrong with her but did not say a word.
Orlando placed her on the table and was asked to leave the room while they worked on getting her well. He stayed outside the room for hours until he dosed off. It would be morning soon and his tiredness took over.
Jenny and Legolas knew that there was nothing more they could do and they headed up stairs to rest.
Lord Elrond and Lady Galadriel examined the young maiden. There suspicions were right, she was pregnant. They watched her throughout the night. It was late into the night when she to as the two knew that she would eventually come around.
Chrissy’s eyes began to slowly open and to her surprise she saw two Elves standing over as she lay on the table. She was confused how she had gotten to the healing room so she began to speak. It was now morning in Rivendell
Question surrounded her, “Mani Marte? (What Happened?) Sut Ume Amin Sinome? (How did I get here?)” Chrissy asked in a weak tone.
Gazing down upon her, “Your Elven heritage comes to you fluently,” Then Lady Galadriel answered, “You fainted, my child.”
Chrissy sat up, “What? I feel so weak, what is wrong with me?” as she grasped her head.
Lord Elrond looked over at Lady Galadriel, “Well to answer your question, you are with child, Lady Chrissy.” He stated.
Those words rang through her mind as if it was a bad dream.
She thought, “I can’t be pregnant! I am on that ant-pregnant shot, what the f@$k!”
Confusion rained over her, “I can’t be, not me! In my world, we have this thing called birth control and it’s just not possible. It stops you from conceiving and from hearing things like this. Are you sure?” Chrissy asked concerned.
Lady Galadriel and Lord Elrond looked puzzled at each other with the word Birth Control and how the humans from her world tried not to get pregnant by using modern medicine.
With happiness Lady Galadriel answered, “No dear this is a special child! I have foreseen it and you are indeed carrying. This is a gift from the Valar to be blessed with a child such as this.” as she explained.
When Chrissy got up off the table, she had asked that the two not share this information with any one, especially Orlando. She did not want to be near him and after hearing this news, it was a definite that she would not be speaking to him for a while until she sorted through her own feelings.
Lord Elrond stated firmly, “If I do not tell, Prince Orlando, it might be seen as treason by King Thranduil.”
He was hesitating and tried to talk some sense into her but it was if no use to convience her now. He saw how persisted that Lady Chrissy was so he decided not tell Orlando of the unborn child.
She requested, “If Lord Elrond and myself will not breathe a word of this news to Prince Orlando, you must commit to us that you share the unborn with him in a few days or we will tell him ourselves.” Lady Galadriel stated firmly.
Lady Galadriel was bothered by her actions and withholding this from Prince Orlando could only lead to trouble. She finally agreed also after Lady Chrissy swore to tell him in a few days.
Orlando was outside of the room when he heard the door open and he saw Lady Chrissy walk out. He stood up, there eyes met and here he was again. His beautiful face staring into her eyes and waiting patiently as she over came yet another drama disaster.
With anger in her eyes, “Why are you here?” Chrissy asked harshly.
Orlando got this strange look on his face, “I was making sure that you were all right.”
Raising her voice, “I do not need you to watch over me, I am quite all right…as you can see!”
Chrissy had seen Arwen coming down the hall and knew that this would be the perfect time to escape. It took all her strength to move away from Orlando because she really wanted to forgive him and tell him about the baby.
With her eyes focused on escaping, “Well, if you will excuse me, Arwen and I have some things to do.” Chrissy said rather insensitively.
She walked over quickly and asked if Arwen would join her in the gardens. To Chrissy’s surprise, she was on her way out there.
Chrissy smiled at Orlando while she walked away! However, it was hope that she would come back to him.
Orlando watched his lover walk away as he was very disappointed and felt like his whole world was crashing all around him. Then he saw a glimpse of a sparkle in her eyes that caused him from not loosing his mind. It was a smile of what was to come and he would have to be patient.
Legolas and Jenny woke up in each others arms as it was already mid-day. He leaned over to kiss the maiden that has made him so happy.
They both decided to get something to eat and then take a walk outside in the gardens. Then they would make there way over to see how Chrissy was recovering.
Legolas was with Jenny outside in the gardens talking when Haldir approached. Legolas did not know what to say to the Merchwarden that he had been friends with for so many years.
Legolas said nothing as he walked towards Haldir and smiled at this friend. Jenny trusted that Legolas would do the right thing as she silently prayed that he would not start any trouble.
Haldir knew that Legolas was probably going to be a little upset with him as the tension built up all around him. To his surprise, Legolas smiled at him and extended his hand out to his friend.
Legolas made amends, “Haldir let us put this past behind us and move towards the future!”
With a great relief, “I agree!” Haldir answered.
The two old friends hugged each other and talked about urgent news that came from the boarders of Mirkwood. His father’s kingdom had several Orc parties that rampaged through some of the villages near by.
King Thranduil sent a ranger to ask Prince Legolas, Prince Orlando and Haldir of the Golden Woods to return to the Mirkwood Forest to help aid in this battle. Legolas would never let his father down and need to find Orlando to tell him that they need to leave at first light to reach Mirkwood in a few days.
Jenny knew that Legolas and Haldir need time to rekindle there relationship. She went in search of Lord Elrond’s healing room. She finally arrived to see the door opened and Orlando sitting next to the window.
She peaked into the room to see if her friend was still in the house of healing. To her surprise Chrissy was not in the healing room. But she did notice Orlando was next to the window.
Jenny walked over and taped Orlando on the shoulder, “Excuse me, Orlando, Have you seen Chrissy?”
With sadness in his eyes, “Lady Chrissy is with Lady Arwen on a walk into the gardens,” Then he stared at her for a moment, “Why does she not want to speak to me or be around me? I just do not understand why she keeps her feelings hidden from me?”
Jenny felt sorry for Orlando because of the way Chrissy was treating him. She knew that her friend would eventually come back to him except it would take a little time for her to see how much she loved him.
With hesitance in her voice, “I do not know why she has put this wall up towards you, “Then she offered some advice, “Let me give you the scoop on what Chrissy wants you to do.” Jenny stated.
Orlando’s eye brow rose, “I am listening, what is this ‘scoop’ as you call it?”
She smiled, “It’s quite simple. Chrissy wants you to make amends with Haldir and then you sweet talk her into forgiving you for pushing her... Then everything will be fixed.” Jenny replied
He searched his heart for a moment, “I know forgiving Haldir would solve this issue….but forgiveness does not come easy with me. I hate the mess Haldir caused and it does not sit right with me.” Orlando stated.
A smirk was on Jenny’s face as she explained, “If anyone should be mad at Haldir, it should be Legolas and I. Haldir was angry with me because I would not ride with him and I made a decision to be with Legolas, exclusively. This hurt his pride a little and instead he screwed things up as he made the situation more complicated between the two of you.”
Orlando processed everything Jenny told him about the incident and felt a soft touch glide over his face.
Smiling at him, “Do not let her go over something foolish! She loves you…go and make peace with Haldir,” as her hand slid off his face, softly.
With hope in his tone, “I wish for nothing more than to make Lady Chrissy happy. Thank you for your kind words, I shall never forget them.”
Legolas had left Haldir to go and tell the news to his brother. He knew that Orlando would be loyal to there father and aid his home in time of war.
Haldir had left to find Lord Elrond and was going to ask if he could spare any of the Elven guards to help aid Mirkwood.
Jenny and Orlando talked quite some time before they were interrupted by Legolas.
It had been hours seen Legolas had seen Lady Jenny. He and Haldir were planning there strategy against the Orc’s Parties. He dreaded sharing this urgent news but he had to tell his brother about Mirkwood being under attack by Orc’s and Warg riders.
As he was walking into the healing corridor, he saw Lady Jenny and his brother in the distance. He knew that this was not the right to tell her but he had to tell her some time. Legolas walked over and touched Lady Jenny’s arm.
There was urgency in his tone, “Jenny my luv, I need to speak with you and Orlando,” his face turned flush as he dreaded this news.
Jenny sat down and knew that something was terribly wrong. She just sensed that it was something that would be devastating to the both of them.
Concern rained over Orlando, “What is this urgent news, Brother?” he asked.
Legolas’s eyes brows tensed up, “War is upon Mirkwood! Father has sent word that he needs my self, you and Haldir to help aid against the Orc parties.”
Orlando glanced up to see Lady Jenny’s face turned afraid and searching for words to speak as she looked up at Legolas.
Legolas caught his brothers reaction as he turned to see her facial expressions and felt terrible for sharing this awful news in front of her nevertheless it had to be told.
Jenny was very afraid of losing Legolas because for the first time in her life, she of all people was in love.
Softly Jenny stated, “War is such a cruel word. Go and do not get yourself hurt. I will be waiting for you, Prince Legolas.” Tears filled her eyes.
Legolas’s thoughts, “Her eyes grow with worry and doubt. Hurt…the mighty Prince Legolas? I shall convince her that that I will come back to her…are those tears? Does she cry for me? I believe she cares a great deal for me and my well being…I love her…”
Legolas walked over and dried her tears, “I will be leaving at first light, except this will be our night. It will be a night not like any night we’ve shared, my luv. Through fire and rain, I will come back to you, thus I pledge to you!”
He picked her up and headed for there room. This night would be special for Jenny and Legolas as they will share something very deep.
Orlando watched the two disappear out of sight and knew that he had to find some way to break this madness. He walked out of the healing room and in search of someone.
Legolas carried her to there room and placed her on the bed. He searched her eyes for the answer that would carry them into there future.
With much love in his eyes, “I ask you now, before you, bind yourself to me for the rest of our lives?” as he searched for an answer.
Jenny searched back for the love that poured from his mouth. She knew that giving herself to Legolas in such a manner would cause her to lose sight of who she had become in there other life she had back home.
In this case, Jenny knew that making her… his would take things to whole different level. She smiled and leaned forward to whisper her decision in his ear.
Softly Jenny answered, “Uma, Lle Mela en' coiamin, ta niuve di seasamin” (Yes, love of my life, it shall be my pleasure.)

This night was long and full-filling for both Jenny and Legolas. The two searched for what seemed like eternity to find the right companion. They were finally realizing what a match the two made as they were not ones likely to commit to something that would be for ever.
