Ugerth

(For additional notes and disclaimers, please see top of Chapter 1.)

= Here’s a new one...enjoy, and please don’t forget to review.

I know the last couple of chapters have been a little short, but I do have some longer ones coming up soon, including some more with Benain, Thranduil, Legolas, and a sexy Saelbeth/Leralonde chapter... -

Chapter 27

Ugerth

“I’d always thought Elves did not care for dark places,” said the marked Man, as the silent servant led him into the dimly lit, secluded study and closed the door.

The Dark Elf gestured to an empty chair in front of his desk and waited for the marauder to make himself comfortable.

“Most Elves also would not have dealings with the likes of you, Kebu,” he said, looking the Man over. Despite the more than thirty years that had passed, the Easterling had aged unusually well for a Mortal...

“Incidentally, M’lord,” added the Man, with an unpleasant smile, “I must not forget to congratulate you on the Lady Glaerwen’s upcoming marriage...I hear ‘tis expected to be Mirkwood’s event of the century...”

“Why are you here?” asked the Elf Lord. “I had thought our dealings done years ago...”

“Aye, it was a most satisfying little chore the one you gave me last time,” said the Easterling in a lascivious tone.

“No doubt.

“And I believe you were paid well for it,” said the King’s cousin becoming impatient.

Though the Marauder had often had his uses in the past, his presence in Mirkwood was hardly convenient now...the risk of him being caught by Ruthlagor’s spies was not something Esarulir was willing to gamble on...

“Aye, M’lord was most generous,” said the Man.

“However, recently I had some business deep in Harad for the first time in many years, and found somethin’ that I thought your Lordship might have a particular interest in...”

“...unless it is Legolas himself you ran into,” the Dark Elf sat back and smiled callously, “preferably on his knees, pleasuring a few of your kind, like a nisse’huo, I do not expect that you have anything to tell me worth paying for...

“But I very much doubt it,” he added. “We both know that no one escapes Haradrim slavers...”

“...alas, M’lord, (though I would not have minded another encounter with your fair kinsman...)” the marauder made no effort to hide the lust in his tone...

“But they do say most of your Kindred, do not survive past the first year in such a place as you had me inter ‘im...

“...so you would not think yourself actually guilty of Kinslayin’,” he added pointedly.

“Perhaps not,” said the dark Elf in an emotionless tone, ignoring the Kinslaying comment. “But the little whore already once before lived through that which is supposed to kill any self-respecting Elf.

“So, tell me,” he asked, “what else could possibly be in Harad that could be of interest to me...?”

“...a young Elfling...” said the Man, “’bout eight years old in appearance...I don’t know what her age would be in Elf reckonin’...from what I was able to learn, the child has only one parent, an Ellon whore of the King of Harad...”

“...there is no reason any of that should mean anything,” objected the Dark Elf but sat up straighter in his chair.

Though it was true that somehow Legolas had managed to not fade all those years ago, after Delos assaulted him; under not a small amount of Esarulir’s encouragement - - the Dark Elf licked his lips and smiled slightly at the memory, even if it had not all worked out as well as it was supposed to. He never would have thought his hated kinsman to have been so strong that he showed no sign of fading back then - - but even Thranduil’s brat could not have survived so many years in a Harad brothel...it was unheard of...

“Per’aps not,” the Man was saying, bringing Esarulir back out of his thoughts, “but this child wore a trinket ‘round ‘er neck...a small pendant ...t’would not have seemed like much ‘cept...”

“Go on.”

The Easterling paused for effect for a long moment and pulled something from his cloak.

“It may be that I am mistaken, M’lord,” he said, with a look of feigned ignorance and pushed the object across the desk to the King’s cousin, “unschooled as I am in such things...

“But it did put me in mind of Mirkwood’s Royal crest...a silver leaf was it not, in this likeness...?”

Elvish Translations:

Ugerth / Wrong doings, (sins)

Nisse’huo /(q.) From nisse/female, and huo/dog. (So, a female dog, a bitch...)

Ellon / Male Elf

A / N: This is one I’d had in mind pretty much since I came up with this story.

For all of you who’ve wondered about the circumstances that led Legolas to where he is now; there’s a bit of it.
