Chapter Twenty Five - Part Two

Imladris - Three Weeks Later

Upon their arrival in the Vale, everyone sighed with relief. Thranduil had insisted on abstinence once he saw both Elladan and Glorfindel wincing in discomfort as they rode. The mood of the party of elves had grown increasingly sour the longer the journey continued. It did not help that they encountered trouble in the mountains: rain and a band of orcs bent on taking their lives.

Elrohir had been in the worst of moods and took every opportunity to voice his displeasure at the king’s order. The elf knight was not used to having to deny his carnal pleasures, and sleeping with Elladan and Legolas nearby almost caused a mutiny. Only Elrond was able to calm his youngest son in the end, and the details of that conversation were kept private. The curses directed at the king stopped, but the looks that promised some sort of revenge continued.

Tired, dirty and hungry, the elves made their way into the Last Homely House and to their rooms to freshen up before coming together again for a hot, delicious meal.

Glorfindel led Thranduil to his private rooms, and as he kicked the door shut, pushed the king against it, pillaging his mouth with a heated kiss.

The king responded eagerly, and ran his hands down his lover’s back to cup and massage his cheeks, pulling him closer at the same time.

The balrog slayer broke the kiss and gave his kingly lover a mischievous smile. “You are in my territory now, Thranduil. Prepare yourself to be taken so hard you won’t find the breath to scream.”

The ruler stared at Glorfindel with shock and then a smile appeared on his face. “Do with me what you will, my blond warrior. Where was this aggression in Mirkwood?”

“Never you mind, Thranduil,” the balrog slayer answered. “I suggest you start removing your clothes or I shall tear them off you.”

The Mirkwood king did as he was told, his eyes never leaving his lover’s. Only when he stood totally bare before Glorfindel did he notice the look in his lover’s cerulean eyes: eyes that traveled over his body with a predatory gleam. “Like what you see?”

“Very much, but I will like it more when you are tied to my bed posts and writhing beneath me. I can hear you begging as we speak,” Glorfindel said hoarsely while he removed his own clothing. “Bed. Now.”

Thranduil had never allowed himself to be tied by anyone, but the image Glorfindel had put in his head had him aroused and he quickly moved to the bed.

“Trust me, my love, I will not hurt you,” the balrog slayer promised, tying the king to the posts with silk scarves. “Expect pleasure you have never felt before, my King.”

The ruler’s last thought was interrupted by a kiss so passionate that he was lost to his lover from that point on. Only his moans filled the room as Glorfindel took him to superior summits of bliss.

~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~

Legolas turned around when he heard the door to Elladan and Elrohir’s suite of rooms slam. Surprisingly, it was Elladan who finally let his own frustration at the restrictions placed on them show. When he turned to see what Elrohir’s reaction was, he found himself being stared at with hungry eyes. A quick look to Elladan showed the twin was giving him the same look.

Not one to deny his soon-to-be-mates anything, Legolas began to undress slowly. Watching their eyes turn rapacious he slowed his movements further. When he was finally rid of all his clothing, he gave them a seductive smile, and waited to see who would pounce first. The prince placed his money on Elrohir, but Elladan reached him first and carried him to the bed.

It was while Elladan was removing his clothes that Elrohir arrived next to him in the bed. Unable to resist the prince’s sweet lips, the elf knight kissed him deeply and passionately before Elladan nudged him out of the way. Elrohir sneered at his brother, but moved to undress and join them as soon as possible.

Elladan was quick to replace Elrohir’s lips, and Legolas wrapped his arms around him, pulling the elf warrior closer. Their moans of deep need filled the room until Elrohir found his way to the prince’s already leaking member. Without hesitation, the elf knight took Legolas deep in his throat, and the prince broke the kiss with Elladan to scream when he was sheathed in the heat of Elrohir’s mouth.

“Legolas,” Elladan breathed while he ran his hands through the prince’s fair hair. “Love me again as you did in Mirkwood. I want to feel the complete rapture you graced me with once more.”

“It would be my pleasure, my Elf Warrior,” the prince moaned as Elrohir continued to pleasure him with his mouth, teeth and tongue. “Your brother must stop what he is doing or I shall have to recover. I don’t want to wait to have you, beloved.”

“Elrohir, stop,” Elladan commanded with authority.

“Why should I stop?” Elrohir demanded angrily.

“Why?” Legolas asked, interrupting to calm the situation. “If you wish to have me, you must stop what you are doing so we can rearrange our bodies.”

Elrohir thought about it in a matter of seconds and moved off the prince with a smirk. “When you put it that way, I can see the advantages of stopping.”

Legolas laughed softly and quickly turned so that Elladan was beneath him. As he looked into the elf warrior’s eyes he spoke to Elrohir. “I will take Elladan first, and then you can take me.”

None of Elladan’s fears returned as he looked in his beloved’s desire darkened eyes and saw only love and tenderness reflected. He was prepared as gently as before and actually moaned as Legolas entered him.

Elrohir waited until Elladan adjusted and Legolas began to move before placing himself behind the prince and entering him slowly.

Their moans and pleas filled the bedroom as they took each other to tremendous pinnacles of pleasure and fulfillment.

Elrond relaxed into his private bath and let the heated water work through his tired and sore muscles. Resting his head against the back of the tub, he allowed his thoughts to drift to his lady wife waiting for him in Valinor. The lord missed her sweet demeanor and her laughter, but most of all he missed just holding her. Their marriage had been a happy one, blessed by the Valar and the three children they raised.

He could almost feel her arms closing around him when he finally arrived to be with her. Her scent filled the air of the bathing chamber and his sadness moved over him like a cloud. Elrond knew it wouldn’t be long until he began to suffer from grief and hoped that any business left to attend in Imladris would run smoothly.

Leaving their children behind was the hardest thing he thought he would ever do. The half elf would have the task of telling his darling wife that their only daughter had chosen mortality for the man she was now married to. Elrond hoped to soften the blow by informing her of their sons’ decisions to cling to elfkind, and that they would be joining them once Arwen was at peace in Lorien.

Arwen…he wept for her and the pain it would cause Celebrian. The decision had been made that he and Arwen would not meet again before he sailed, the good byes had been said, and he was not sure he could leave her behind if he had another chance. Estel made her happy and he was sure they would have children to carry on their father’s heritage. Elrond only hoped that Arwen would be able to instill in them the goodness of the elves.

Wiping the tears running down his cheeks, the lord moved his thoughts toward his sons and what time they had left together. Many decisions still had to be made, but he felt less anxious about leaving Imladris in their hands. Knowing Glorfindel and Erestor would be here for them had a lot to do with it, but he had faith in his sons and Legolas’ calming influence over them. Perhaps he, himself, would suggest Legolas be their counselor. There was little doubt in Elrond’s mind that it would be a wise choice.

As his feelings drifted back to Celebrian, he slowly drifted into a peaceful nap, feeling her arms close around him.

~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~

Erestor grabbed a towel as he stepped out of his tub. There were so many things to do and the counselor dried and dressed quickly. Sitting at his desk in his room, he first penned a letter to Cirdan announcing Elrond’s plans to sail within the month.

The second letter took longer to write because he was careful to word the missive so no punishment would be handed down to Haldir as a result. For himself, Erestor thought Haldir needed to be punished, but kept his own feelings from being shown. All in all, it was a simple request that Haldir not accompany Celeborn or Galadriel when and if they decided to visit their grandsons.

The explanation given was that the twins had had some sort of disagreement with the marchwarden and it would be easier on everyone if Haldir stayed in Lorien. Erestor also informed them of the upcoming bonding ceremony between Elladan, Legolas and Elrohir. He did not bother explaining the situation as this letter was supposed to be an official missive between two realms.

Satisfied with the wording, Erestor closed both letters and sealed them with wax before placing his own seal. The counselor knew the importance of both letters and sent a maid to find a messenger who would deliver them with haste. Once back at his desk, Erestor went through the notes he had taken in Mirkwood, copying them to another piece of paper so that the list made more sense.

A low groan from the bed caused him to turn and he smiled at the image that met him. His lover had tossed the covers off and he had a perfect view of his lithe, sinewy body. Dark hair covered his angelic face and Erestor made his way to the bed to move the tousled hair away from the elf’s face. With a light tender kiss, he wished him a peaceful sleep. The counselor was half tempted to rejoin his lover, but he resisted the urge and returned to his desk.

One Week Later

It was the fourth time in as many days that Legolas woke alone. Each night he tried to stay awake to wait for Elladan and Elrohir to return, but he always fell asleep. In the mornings when he awakened they were already gone. He knew they had been there; their scent was too strong on their pillows for them not to have been. Sighing, the prince turned over and looked at the ceiling, missing the comfort of their company.

Legolas was not angry with them, not in the least; if his father was sailing and he was taking over the running of Mirkwood, he would be spending an equal amount of time away from them. It still did not help the loneliness he felt, especially when he could smell sex in the air. Did they not wake him because they wanted to be alone or were they just being courteous? With a forlorn sigh, the prince rose from the bed and made his way into the bathing chamber in Elladan’s room.

As expected, Legolas found a hot bath waiting for him which meant the twins had not been gone long. Settling into the tub, he allowed the water to soothe him and rested his head against the rounded curve on the back. Unconsciously, the prince turned the mithril band on his finger, and wondered if by introducing Elladan and Elrohir to the love between them, he had lost them both.

~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~

“We should have awakened him,” Elladan said while he and Elrohir waited for the day’s meetings to start.

“He was sleeping so peacefully,” Elrohir countered nonchalantly, growing tired of Elladan‘s protests.

“Are you forgetting that Legolas is the center of our world? Do you think he will not smell our sex in the air?” Elladan almost growled. “He will be hurt that we did not include him and will wonder if we still love him or if we have decided that we no longer need him. I am surprised at you, Elrohir. How can you act as if what we did will have no effect on our relationship with our beloved. We have not seen him except when he is sleeping for four days!”

“If you will remember, Elladan, our prince is the one who made us realize what we both truly wanted,” the elf knight hissed. “If you think I no longer love Legolas, then you are dead wrong. I miss him as much as you do, and intend to return to our rooms early tonight no matter what. Tell me, Elladan, do you regret making love to me last night?”

“Nay, you know I do not, but I do not wish to cause Legolas any unnecessary pain,” Elladan replied softly. “Returning to our rooms early is an excellent idea, I suggest we order a nice romantic dinner and spoil him in all the ways we know. He needs to know he is still the one we love for all time.”

“As we love one another,” Elrohir confirmed by taking Elladan’s hand in his.

“Aye, as we love one another,” Elladan agreed, just as their father and Erestor walked into the room.

“Are we ready to begin?” Elrond asked, taking a seat at the head of the table.

Erestor opened his journal and took out the list he had prepared for the meetings. “Aye, today we have to decide who will fill the role as chief counselor.”

“I thought you would continue in that role, Erestor,” Elrohir nervously replied as Elladan sat up and listened. “I sincerely doubt we could find someone with your diplomatic skills to replace you.”

“There is one who has the skills, and I suggest you consider him for the position.” Elrond replied to his very nervous sons. “In fact I am surprised you have not already suggested him to take over Erestor’s duties. Erestor will remain here, but only to offer his assistance if it is needed.”

“Of whom do you speak, Father?” Elladan asked, trying to think of someone who could fill Erestor’s shoes.

“Is it not obvious to you?” Elrond asked with a definite smile showing on his face. “Legolas has been trained as a warrior all of his life, but he has traveled to many realms on diplomatic missions for his father. The prince is the obvious choice.”

Elladan relaxed in his chair and chuckled while Elrohir stared at his father in shock. “Forgive my reaction, father, but I had never thought….” Elrohir began.

“Of course you didn’t,” his father answered while Erestor covered his mouth to keep from laughing. “You think of Legolas as a lover and a warrior, someone to be cherished and protected. You both know what a capable warrior he is, but have not thought about the other things he has accomplished in his life. The prince can take care of any situation thrown at him and come out smelling like roses. His power of negotiation matches Erestor’s, and I am telling you he is very diplomatic in his demeanor. Whether he accepts the position or not is up to you.”

“Legolas will accept the position; we will make sure he does,” Elladan promised his father. “You can help in our endeavor if you allow us to finish this meeting early in the day. I fear we have neglected Legolas in the last bit, and need to correct any wrong done to him because of our absence.”

“We have very few items left to cover and then I can begin to prepare to sail,” Elrond said as his eyes seemed to lose focus for a moment. “Your mother calls for me from across the sea.”

Elladan and Elrohir moved to hug their father, offering their sympathy and love. They both knew their father needed to sail as soon as possible to keep him from beginning to fade.

~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~

Glorfindel teased Thranduil with a strawberry as they lounged on the bed late in the morning. The blond warrior held the berry close to the king’s mouth, but just out of reach. Growing tired of Glorfindel’s game, Thranduil grabbed his wrist and took the piece of fruit and the balrog slayer’s fingers into his mouth.

Surprised by the move, Glorfindel gasped as his fingers were sucked into the delicious mouth of the king. Pulling his fingers back, the balrog slayer looked from them to the ruler.

“You tease me too much, Glorfindel, and I begin to tease back,” Thranduil said with a mischievous grin.

The juice from the strawberry covered the king’s lips and the blond warrior could not resist licking the juice from them. Of course the licking turned into a heated, passionate kiss and breakfast was forgotten.

Sated and breathing heavily the couple relaxed with Glorfindel holding Thranduil in his arms. The king rested his head on the blond warrior’s shoulder and nuzzled his neck. No one had ever made love to him as Glorfindel did and he felt his feelings for the balrog slayer grow.

“I can stay until Elrond sails, but I must return to Mirkwood soon after,” Thranduil said softly.

“Aye, I knew you could not stay forever,” Glorfindel replied with a sigh. His own heart had opened up and his feelings for the king had grown into more than just a simple love and appreciation for his beauty.

“I would suggest a way for us to be together as often as possible if you would agree to hear it,” the ruler said after several minutes of silence.

“Tell me your plan, Thranduil. I am open to anything you suggest as long as I can still perform my duties and you are able to rule over your kingdom,” Glorfindel replied with barely contained excitement.

“My eldest can take over Mirkwood long enough for me to manage to visit you every other year. If you can find a way to visit my home in the other years, we can and will be able to maintain our relationship,” the king explained. “I confess my feelings have grown for you, in a way that often scares me. I believe we were meant to be together, Glorfindel. The Valar have granted me another chance to be with my true soul mate.”

“Thranduil,” Glorfindel breathed as if he was whispering a prayer. “I have the same feelings for you. Perhaps the Valar have allowed me the same chance. Of course I will travel to Mirkwood every other year. The twins would not deny me my chance at love and happiness now that they have discovered their own.”

~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~

Elladan and Elrohir made their way to their rooms carrying trays laden with all of their beloved’s favorite foods, dessert and a couple of bottles of Erestor’s supposedly hidden wine. They needed to make up for their lack of presence the last four days and for not waking him the night before. And there was always the proposal for him to become their chief counselor.

Elladan truly hoped they would be forgiven for having made love without him. Legolas meant too much to him to ever knowingly cause him pain, but he was afraid that he and Elrohir had done just that. The elf warrior swore to himself to make it up to the prince no matter what it took.

Elrohir was just as worried, but kept it hidden so that Elladan would not become more upset. If the elf knight allowed his worry to show, Elladan would lose any confidence he had, push the matter away and try to forget about. The situation needed to be dealt with immediately so that there was no time for resentment to grow. Elrohir’s own love for Legolas ran deep and he was willing to appease the prince in any form his beloved asked.

Upon entering their room, Elladan and Elrohir noticed that the sitting room was empty and there was no sign of the prince. Elladan’s worry grew, but Elrohir laid his hand on his brother’s shoulder.

“Look for him in your room while I prepare the table. Legolas is probably just sleeping to pass the hours until we return,” the elf knight said while giving Elladan a nudge in the direction of his room.

Elladan walked softy and quietly into his room and found Legolas staring at the ceiling. The prince had not even bothered getting dressed after his bath. Only his robe covered him, and his hair was not even combed out. The look of worry on his face did little to calm the elf warrior. He approached the bed and sat next to the prince before brushing some hair off his face.

“Legolas?” Elladan asked trying to get his attention.

The prince blinked and turned slowly to face Elladan, but his expression did not change nor did he speak.

“Are you well? Shall I call a healer?” the elf warrior asked growing more worried about his beloved.

“Nay, Elladan,” Legolas replied, his voice soft and defeated. “I am only surprised to see you so early in the evening. Many nights I spent waiting for your arrival only to fall asleep before you and Elrohir returned. The mornings were just as bad because you were gone before I woke, with only a bath drawn to show you had been here at all. Except this morning…Let me ask you, my beloved, did you not wake me because you did not desire me, or was it because you desired to have your brother to yourself?”

“You cannot think I could ever not desire you, my Prince,” Elladan answered with growing panic. “You were sleeping so peacefully. We both wanted to wake you, but…”

“You did not,” Legolas finished for him with a bitter laugh. “The thing that grieves me the most is that by introducing you and Elrohir to your love, it has cost me you both.”

“Nay, that is not true,” Elladan said reaching out to touch Legolas’ face, but the prince pushed his hand away. “I love you my prince, more than I could tell you, and so does Elrohir. Do not doubt our love for you. You have made love to each of us separately. Last night was the first time I made love with Elrohir when you weren’t there with us. Will you hold that against us, my Prince? If you do, you are not the elf I thought you were.”
