Meeting the King
Legolas stared at Denise for a full minute before he walked over to her. He quickly ran his hands down her sides checking for any injuries.
Denise smiled. "I am fine. Just a cut lip." she reassured him.
Legolas nodded and embraced her which she eagerly returned. Pulling back Legolas went over the Heidi, he gently pushed her hood back.
"How fare you milady?" he asked kindly.
"Fine. Just a little sore." Heidi smiled.
Thraduil cleared his throat to catch Legolas's attention.
"Oh! Sorry Ada...This is Denise. I told you about her." Legolas took Denise's hand and led her in front of the throne.
Thranduil smiled. "So you are the fair maiden that stole my son's heart."
"He has mine in return your highness." Denise blushed and bowed.
"And who is your companion?" Thranduil asked looking at Heidi.
"Ai! I forgot to tell you Ada. Lord Celeborn got married."
"Did he?" Thranduil was shocked. "To whom."
"Me." Heidi said. "My name is Heidi and I am Denise's best friend your highness." she bowed slightly
Thranduil looked at the guards outraged. "You accosted and bound not only my son's wife to be but the Lady of the Golden Wood as well?"
"We did not know..."
"That is why you ask before you treat someone like common criminals! Go I will deal with you later."
The guards scurried away shame coloring their faces.
"Your highness please do not be to hard on them they were only doing what they thought was right." Heidi said softly.
"Perhaps....anyways I am pleased to meet you both. You probaly would like to freshen up before dinner. Legolas please show them to quarters." Thranduil stood and embraced Denise. "You have made my son happy...Thank you."
Blushing Denise followed Legolas and Heidi out of the great hall. Legolas led them to a large room with two beds.
"There is a bathing room through here." Legolas opened a door opposite the beds. "Dinner will be in a hour. I will come for you oth then. I hate to go but I am needed on the front lines for clean up."

(Three days earlier in Gondor)
"They went where?" Celeborn asked stunned.
"Mikwood." Arwen snapped. "Not that you care!"
"I care about her! I love her!" Celeborn waast.ast.
"You have been avoiding her since the incident!"
"I have not! I have been helping Aragorn and Haldir work up some plans!"
"you..you haven't been avoiding her?"
"No! She is my wife not my prisoner! I was upset that she went sans guards. But I wasn't mad at her! You...her...You both think I was avoiding her?"
"Yes.."
Celeborn closed his eyes aa a few tears leaked out. "No......"
Arwen was shocked. They had been utterly and horrribly wrong! "Oh..." was all she could say.
