The Evil That Faries Do

Kimber lay face down on her bed, not much caring for the delicate fabrics as the tears dampened the pillow.

A knock at the door caused her to raise her head for a moment.

“Who is it?” she inquired hoping that it were Legolas.

“It is I?” Epoloven returned as he entered the room.

She sat up quickly on her bed and was about to stand, when he came over and placed a cold hand on her shoulder.

“Please Kimber, do not get up on my account, for I only came to see that you are well,” he grinned.

“Epoloven I am fine and if it pleases you I would rather be alone now so if you don’t mind…” she motioned to the door.

“Well perhaps I do mind,” he inched towards her, “And by that I mean that I mind leaving you in such a state of sadness,” he smiled at her; his looks though impeccable, sickened her at the moment.

“I would rather you weren’t here,” she insisted, as she attempted to stand only to be pulled back down to the bed.

“Your father means you no harm, he only wants what is best for you, for our kin,” he spoke softly to her as he lightly caressed her cheek.

“This is not what is best for me! I know what is best for me,” she hissed, pushing his hand away from her.

“Do you now?” he looked at her menacingly, inching closer.

“Yes, I do,” she wept once more thinking of Legolas and how she would never see him again.

“Kimber, do not be troubled,” he offered, “Do not let the perils of loneliness envelope you, my sweet,” Quickly, he embraced her and began tousling her hair with his soft hands. “I am here, for you,” he smiled.

“What?!” she pushed herself away and looked at him.

“Surely, what you need is someone to love you that your father approves of; Kimber I am that someone,” he insisted.

“NO you are not, Epoloven!,” she stood and quickly headed for the door.

“I am! I have spoken to your father on our behalf and I come bearing such news, that you and I are to wed once we leave Lorien” he headed towards her and grabbed her, forcing her back to the bed.

“What are you doing! Get off of me!” Kimber yelled as she squirmed underneath him.

“Kimber, do not fight me or the fact that you are destined to be mine!” he bent down swiftly and kissed her firmly on the mouth. Kimber’s eyes went wide and a sickening feeling came over her as his mouth moved harshly upon hers. Not knowing what else to do, she bit down hard on his bottom lip. Epoloven raised his head slightly to look at her.

“So you like to play rough do you Princess?” he gave her wicked grin as he wiped away the blood from his lip. It was in that instance she let out a cry as she suddenly felt a sharp pain come across the side of her face. Epoloven had slapped her! Kimber closed her eyes as she felt and tasted her own blood trickling down from her nose and the side of her mouth.

“Why my sweet? Why must you keep resisting the inevitable?” Kimber opened her eyes to see him staring down at her, his desire evident in his eyes.

“You disgust me!” she growled as she spat in his face. Epoloven closed his eyes briefly as he reached up and wiped off his face before delivering yet another hard blow to hers.

“You are leaving me little choice Kimber,” Epoloven paused watching the tears now streaming from her eyes, “I had hoped to do this the traditional way,” his voice became low and sadistic. “Though I do not mind…I have desired you for quite sometime,” Kimber held her breath as she felt his finger trailing down her chest and slowly begin to touch her breast. She shuddered slightly at the feeling of him touching her in such a way.

‘This is not happening! I cannot let him do this!’ her mind was clouded trying to figure out a way to escape.

Epoloven could feel her trembling beneath him as his finger fondled the tip of her breast. “You like that don’t you my Princess?” he whispered seductively now as he roughly cupped her breast fully in his hand.

Kimber exhaled through her nostrils and winced at his movements, “Now I shall be the one to bring you the pleasure your little elf prince could not,” Epoloven taunted; thinking back to yesterday when he had seen the two of them together near the tree. She had been sitting on that filthy maggots lap all excited. He wanted to walk up to the two of them and plunge his dagger right into Legolas’ jugular; and he almost did until he heard her sister.

He hadn’t bothered with any sort of transformation, why should he hide himself? He had just walked right up to Felicity’s door and opened it. He had hoped to torment her a bit more but there she was with the March Warden, give it to him again, he had turned her into one of his elven whores and what’s more he was demanding that she call him Ada? He made haste in telling the King about that. But now it was his turn, for years he had desired them, they belonged to him, his reward! There was no way he was going to lose the throne to a couple of pathetic elves.

He smiled deviously once more at himself before crushing his lips onto Kimber’s once more enjoying the taste of her blood on his lips.

Kimber felt the horror run through her body as Epoloven began to push his body hard into hers. She could feel the swell of his excitement and knew that it wouldn’t be long before he took her completely.

Epoloven shifted his body slightly as he moved over her and unbeknownst to him in doing so, freed one of Kimber’s hands that previously had been pinned beneath her. Realizing that this maybe her only opportunity for escape, she reached for her bedside lantern and smashed it over his head.

“You little wench!” he roared, raising a hand to his scalp as blood now poured from the wound.

Quickly she brought her feet up and forcefully pushed him off of her, making him fall hard to the floor.

Ignoring the pain she was feeling from her wounds, she quickly made haste for the door, swinging it open and running down the corridor towards the stairs.

*********

“Felicity” Haldir grabbed her by the arm as she once again lunged for the King.

“Haldir,” Aragorn motioned to him, “you should take her out of here before she gets hurt,” he warned. The Warden nodded and tugged at her gently though she did not budge. As a matter of fact, she had gotten a hold of the Ks gas garment and nearly pulled him to the floor when Haldir motioned for Legolas to give him a hand with her. The Prince followed suit and he along with Haldir took an arm each and led her away from the dining hall.

Aragorn quietly made his way over to where the hobbits were sitting and motioned for them to follow along out of the dining hall; they obliged but not before loading up on some goodies.

“Hang on, Strider, we can’t let these go to waste” Sam whispered stuffing a few delectable apples into his pockets.

“Whoa, if he’s taking something I am too,” Pippin declared before Merry grabbed him by the arm.

“Come on!” he insisted, “I’ve already got some, Pip”

“Oh Bless you Merry,” the hobbit beamed, glad that his buddy had thought enough to grab some of
the fruit, “How many did you get?” he paused, “Cause you know I can eat 3 or 4 of those,” he stated.

“Come on Pip!” Merry sighed dragging him along.

**********

“That’s it!!” Felicity hissed, “He has gone too far, this time,” she seethed as Legolas and Haldir led her back to her room.

“Felicity, please settle down,” Haldir commanded, “Before you hurt yourself or the baby,” he insisted.

Legolas gently let go of her arm; in a huff she jerked away from Haldir, walked into her room and slammed the door in both of their faces.

The March Warden turned to Legolas; he looked peeked as though death was upon him. His face was pale and his expression was blank, “What am I to do?” he whispered; feeling as though he would be sick at any moment as his stomach knotted up.

“Legolas, please do not worry, she has not left yet,” the Warden replied.

Legolas looked up at Haldir. He had almost forgotten that he was standing there as all of his thoughts were consumed with Kimber and the aching in his heart. He could not bear to be without her; he felt as though the very air he was to breathe the rest of his life was in her; through her…and now…he could barely think less offer, “I can not help it, I feel as though my heart has been ripped out,” he replied sorrowfully clutching his chest.

*********

“Oberon” Titania sighed. The king turned to see his wife with a look in her eyes that he had never seen before. They were full of sorrow.

“Titania?” he whispered not quite sure of what had just happened; he looked around the room now empty with the exception of him and her.

“Yes, Oberon? ” she replied somberly, seeing the befuddled look on the King’s face. She searched his eyes looking for her husband; the man she had married.

“Why?” he whispered, “why has this happened?” he sighed.

She offered no reply save the snapping of her fingers, which caused a small hand held mirror to appear on the table, which was strewn with overturned mashed potatoes, slices of ham; sweet rolls and the aftermath of the preceding events. He picked up the cheval glass and stared at his reflection for a moment before looking to her once more, only now she too was gone and he suddenly felt very alone.

*********

“Legolas, come,” Haldir placed a hand on his shoulder and opened the door to the bedchambers.

“We must think of something and quickly,” he continued fully expecting to see Felicity in a huff when he entered; though he did not as the room was empty.

Indeed it was, as Felicity ran down the stairs to the second landing as fast as her legs could carry her. She knew something was awry when she tried to utter the enchanted spell enabling her to transform into a pixie and nothing happened. After a few failed attempts, she knew she had better stop wasting time and climbed out of the window and now found herself making haste toward her sister’s room.

She was relieved for a moment when she found herself finally there but that feeling suddenly gave way to dismay when she caught sight of how high Kimber’s window was from the ground.
She had tried to jump up and reach the sill of her sister’s porthole a few times but to no avail, “Give me a break,” she huffed. It was no use; she simply wasn’t tall enough.

“What in the hell?” Puck chuckled as he watched her failed attempts.

She let out a hefty sigh when suddenly an idea struck her.

“Come over here,” she insisted waving him over with herd. d.

He obliged now walking briskly over to where she stood, a bit eager to get into some sort of mischief once again. “What are you doing?” he inquired, now very intrigued, for if he were the king of mischief then surely she was the queen!

“Give me a boost,” Felicity insisted, pulling him over to her by the arm and putting his arms around her waist.

“Ooh, I like this game already,” Puck giggled wiggling his eyebrows.

“Will you be quiet and just do as I ask,” she rolled her eyes at the perverted fairy.

“Hmmm, the Warden’s Lady, throwing around orders already,” he grinned.

“Cut it!” she rolled her yes, for a moment rethinking her idea, though before she could offer objection she found herself being hoisted up by Puck, she grappled for the edge of the sill once more.

“Can you get it?” he gasped for air.

“No higher,” she whispered.

“I can’t lift you any higher! For Valar’s sake, what are you carrying in there, an elephant?” he patted her stomach.

“PUCK!” she exclaimed as he let her down she turned to face him, “Come on just try again.”

“Why didn’t you just use the spell and fly your big ass up there?” he sighed stretching out his arms; she was a bit heavier than he had remembered.

“You idiot, don’t you think I’ve already tried that,” she insisted.

“Well…” he shrugged his shoulders and smirked, “Koi nee ha,” he whispered to himself. Nothing; he stood there in bewilderment wondering why he had no powers. This had never happened to him before!

“Come on!” she huffed before he grabbed her by the waist and hoisted her up again this time giving her an extra boost by lifting her bottom. She could feel his hands against her bare skin rubbing her bottom.

“KNOCK IT OFF!” she hissed in a whisper slapping at his hand while trying to reach the sill once more.

“Hey, you can’t fault me for trying! And it is no wonder why the Warden always has his hands in your lap, where are your undergarments?!” Puck wondered quirking a brow up at her.

“Just stop it” Felicity was giggling now. It was no use as he lowered her to the ground once more.

“Answer me,” he placed a hand on his hips, “Boy, you’re out of the forest for a few days and now you’re running around without your breeches,” he chuckled. She slapped him lightly on the shoulder.

“Why don’t we just walk around to the door and go in?” he suggested.

“I want to sneak in and get her and take her back to my room, Ass! Legolas is there! I figure they could leave together,” she whispered.

“Hmmm,” Puck tapped his chin now more intrigued with the scheme than ever and feeling a bit honored to be a part of it, “Okay hang on a minute then, I’ve got a better idea,” he moved past her and hoisted himself up to the window without much effort and reached down for her, “Come on I’ll lift you up!”

Felicity shook her head in disgust, thinking of the precious moments that they had wasted before reaching up and taking his hands.

“Mmmm…I see pregnancy has turned your molehills into mountains,” Felicity looked up to see Puck having a gander down her shirt.

“Will you shut up and come on,” she insisted. He lifted her into the window with one swift pull and she wasted no time in slapping him across the cheek.

“What was that for?” he held his face.

“My breasts were never molehills,” she retorted, “Don’t confuse me with one of your grou,” s,” she grinned.

“Ouch,” his reaction was delayed a he watched a panic fill Felicity’s face…he turned to see that Kimber was nowhere in sight and what’s more the room reeked of oil.

“Be careful!” he called after her as she walked quickly over to the door, which was open; shards of glass were strewn about the wooden floor which was stained with blood, Felicity kneeled down and touched the sanguineous liquid and rubbed it through her fingers; she could see pieces of short black hair in the red serum.

“Epoloven!” she yelled, standing to her feet and running out of the door toward her room.

*********

“Nope she is not in there either,” Haldir sighed as Legolas emerged from the washroom.

“Wonderful,” he began shaking his head; now on top of the Kimber situation he now had to go about looking for his wife who was only Valar knew where! Though he didn’t have to wonder long as he saw her come running through the door.

“What ? How ?” Legolas became confused as he looked around the room and to the fairy as she now gasped for air.

“Legolas!” she managed to get out.

He walked over to her, Haldir close behind, “Felicity?!” he placed a hand on her shoulder.

“Kimber!” she was starting to hyperventilate “Kimber is gone…Epoloven…” she continued.

Puck came in a few seconds behind her, with Rumil and Orophin; who had seen the two of them running up the stairs.

“We just got back from Kimber’s roshe she is not there…” he paused “there is blood and glass on the floor; Epoloven has gotten to her!” his eyes were panic-stricken.

Legolas grasped his bow firmly and headed for the door. Felicity brushed past Puck and followed after him. Though she didn’t get far before she felt Haldir’s hand on her arm.

“Rumil, you go with Legolas, Orophin go and alert King Oberon,” he commanded before looking to Puck; “I will stay with her,” the fairy offered.

“I am going,” she insisted trying to free Haldir’s grip form her arm, “My sister…” she sobbed, “She needs me Haldir! She is in trouble!” she gasped.

The March Warden would not release her but drew her in close to his chest as she was now sobbing uncontrollably, “Puck, you go after Legolas, he will need help, I must stay with my wife,” he commanded further. Puck wasted no time as he ran after the elves; giving a quick glance over his shoulder to the Warden as he took Felicity back into her room and closed the door.

Kimber did not stop as she ran amongst the great forest of the Golden Wood in hopes that she would soon find someone who would help her. She had tried several times to use her powers, but to no avail, once again they seemed to have disappeared. Her Her head ached from the blows she received from Epoloven, which was causing her to become dizzy and light headed, but she knew she could not give in to the pain she felt for fear of ‘Him’ catching up to her. Why was he doing this! And why could her father not see how wicked he really was?!

“Ahhh!” Kimber yelped as she fell having tripped over a large tree root protruding from the ground. She laid still for a moment, her whole body now throbbing from the hard fall. Slowly, she tried pushing herself off of the forest floor only to come crashing back down with pain that she felt shooting up her left leg. It was then she heard the faint rustling of leaves not far off in the distance.

Her mind raced as she had no idea if it was Epoloven approaching or not; and in her current state, she had no way of protecting herself if it was.

Gritting her teeth, she rolled herself over to survey the damage she had done. She winced as she saw a large gash in the middle of her thigh and the thick flow of blood that was now trickling down her leg.

Not wasting a moment, she quickly tore a piece of her skirt off and wrapped it around the wound before looking up to see Epoloven approaching and he was not too far off from where she laid.

She held her breath and scrambled to her feet as best she could, all the while feeling the shooting pain up her leg and throughout her body. She had to get away from him, but where…it was then she noticed a clearing not to far off from where she stood. Epoloven had not noticed her yet, so there was still a chance of her making it to the clearing and the hope that she would run into someone who would be able to help her.

Unable to run, she hobbled as fast as she could, stifling the urge to scream out in agony with each moment her leg touched the ground. She had to; she just had to make it…

Boromir was becoming impatient as he waited for Gimli and the rest of the Fellowship to join him at the ranges.

“Fools!” he muttered under his breath. Why couldn’t they see what these abominations were doing to their quest! If they had listened to him to begin with and taken the path to the gap of Rohan, none of this would be happening!

“Boromir!” he then heard a faint voice call to him. He turned to see a rather bloody Kimber limping towards him; her hand stretched out as if she were asking for his help.

He stood motionless, just staring at her.

“Boromir…please…help me,” she called gasped once more, pain evident in her voice.

“What has happened to you?” he questioned, unmoving.

Kimber looked at him in defeat. Why? Why was he not helping her? Did he still hold a grudge against her kind?

“BOROMIR!” the two turned when hearing Epoloven shout, “BOROMIR! GET HER! SHE HAS GONE MAD!”

Kimber looked back to Boromir. He now wore a look of confusion.

“Boromir, he is lying to you!” she gritted out moving towards the steward, “He is going to kill me! Please you must help me!”

“DO NOT LISTEN TO HER! SHE SPEAKS NO TRUTH ONLY LIES!” Epoloven shouted once more as he now quickly made his way towards the two, wishing now that he had not thwarted their enchantments as he too as unable to use them to his advantage.

Boromir looked at Epoloven and noticed the large gash on top of his forehead before looking down to Kimber, her eyes pleading to him.

‘BOROMIR!! SHE WAS TRYING TO TAKE THE RING FROM THE HALFLING! I TRIED TO STOP HER!” Epoloven was getting closer, “KILL HER BOROMIR, KILL HER!” he ordered.

Kimber watched as the uncertainty that was once placed on Boromirs’ face faded to hatred. In his mind he began replaying the horrible dream he had been having of the two fairies since they came upon them.

“No Boromir! It is not true!” she pleaded once more, slamming her fists into his chest.
Abruptly, Boromir roughly grabbed Kimber by her forearms. “No Boromir No!” she squirmed, trying to break free from his strong hold.

**********

Legolas stealthy made his way through the forest, accompanied by Puck, as well as Gimli and Aragorn. He had found his two comrades along with the four hobbits as they were making their way to the ranges to meet up with Boromir. He quickly briefed them about Epoloven taking Kimber and how he had to find her before something happened. The hobbits, who were now quite upset hearing the news, were told to go with Rumil and Orophin to fetch Boromir as the four searched the surrounding woods for Kimber.

Legolas’ heart raced as images of Kimber’s bloodstained room flashed before his eyes. He had vowed from that moment on to make Epoloven pay with his own life for harming Kimber in any way as he prayed that they would find her in time.

The four men had made great distance in searching the forest, when Legolas stopped abruptly, looking down on the ground before him.

“What is it?” Puck now questioned the unmoving elf as he came up behind him, “Oh no!” Puck shuddered seeing a large pool of blood on the ground before them.

Aragorn also seeing the blood brushed past the two and began to survey the area and trying to piece together all that had occurred.

“This is Kimber’s blood…” Aragorn trailed off looking up at Legolas, who now held a look of hurt in his eyes.

Aragorn looked back to the scene and studied it closely, hoping that he would not have to bring any more grief to his friend, “It look’s as if she tripped and fell on that,” he confirmed, pointing to a jagged rock covered in blood. Aragorn concentrated harder before noticing a small piece of a garment lying on the ground. “It looks as if she wrapped her wound with a piece of her clothing…yes,” he shook his head, “and she headed in that direction” he pointed to a clearing not to far off.

Legolas let out a small sigh, relieved in knowing that so far she was still alive, “Come let’s move on! That clearing should bring us to ranges. Hopefully we are not to late!”

“Well let us hope we make it their before the hobbits do! Who knows what danger awaits them there!” Gimli stated as the group now headed towards their destination.

**********

“I am glad to see that one of your Fellowship still holds a sane frame of mind!” Epoloven affirmed as he walked up to Boromir. Though little did Boromir know that he was also falling into Epoloven’s deceitful trap. Yes, he would have Boromir do his dirty work for him, that way he would look innocent when the rest of the idiots showed up. In fact, he could already hear the halflings, as they made their way towards them.

‘Wonderful!’ Epoloven thought, ‘Now he could also have Boromir kill the pesky little ones and have the ring as well! Could it get any better!’

“Turn her around!” Epoloven ordered his unknowing henchman.
Boromir obliged and quickly spun Kimber around. Her eyes grew wide with horror as she saw Epoloven standing right before her.

“Tis a shame my dear! You should know better than to take what does not belong to you,” Epoloven gave her an evil smirk.

“Lies! You say nothing but lies! For it was you who tried to take me!!” she retorted trying to break free Boromir’s grasp.

Epoloven laughed, “You are delusional!” though he quickly paused when hearing the hobbits getting closer, “Kill her!” he ordered and watched as Boromir withdrew his hunting knife and hold it up to Kimber’s throat.

“Boromir please! I swear to you that he is lying! If you do this, he will only leave you to blame!” Kimber pleaded before closing her eyes.

Boromir became uncertain. Was she telling the truth?

“I said Kill her you fool!” Epoloven seethed seeing Boromirs’ hesitation.

‘Fool?? Did he just call me a fool??’ Boromir thought, becoming slightly angry and even more confused. Slowly he let the knife drop away from Kimber’s throat and released her from his grasp at once he realized the voice that had been haunting his sleep was that of the dark-haired fairy.

“You human piece of sc…” was all Epoloven had a chance to say as Kimber lunged towards him, knocking both of them to the ground.

Boromir stood motionless as he watched the two roll around on the ground before him.

“You stupid little bitch!” Epoloven grunted out as he wrestled with Kimber and soon found himself on top of her. Swiftly, he drew out his own knife and lunged at her, stabbing her in her left shoulder. Kimber let out deafening scream as Epoloven withdrew the blade and held it above her once more, though this time his aim would hit the target, her heart.

Boromir cringed hearing Kimber’s scream then turned his head when hearing his voice being called. It was the hobbits! Frodo was in fact safe and was yelling for him to save Kimber!

That was all it took as Boromir quickly unsheathed his sword andng ing it, taking Epoloven’s head completely off of his body.

Boromir stood frozen at the sight that lay before him. Epoloven’s headless body slumped down landing on top of Kimber, who was now lying there unconscious from the wounds that she had received. Walking over, Boromir kicked the headless form off of Kimber, before he knelt down next to her.

It was Rumil and Orophin who were the first to come to see the aftermath of all that happened. Slowly the two elven brothers bowed their heads and quietly recited a prayer for the fallen fairy.
“Boromir is Kimber alright!??!” Merry questioned shakily, as he now saw his friend lying on the ground completely covered in blood.

“Me..Me..Merry, she isn’t dead is she?” Pippin whimpered, as tears began to fall from his eyes.

Frodo quickly pulled Pippin into his embrace before looking down to Boromir, “Boromir what happened?”

Boromir was speechless, as he grew angry with himself. How could he have believed what that monster had told him!

“Boromir!” Aragorn now called as he and the rest of the group ran towards them.

Aragorn, seeing Kimber’s state, knelt down next to her, “She is alive!” he exclaimed seeing Legolas’ look of despair. Legolas not caring who was in the way; knelt down and began to tend to her wounds as best he could. Everyone in the group stood back and watched as Legolas removed his shirt and began to cut it into long pieces before taking them and wrapping them around any visible wounds he could find.

“You!” Legolas looked to Puck, “Run and tell the Lady to have her best healers waiting. Go now!”

Puck immediately darted off, not having to be told twice!
