Where is Elrond when you need him?
Chapter 20. - Where is Elrond when you need him?
Later that night Elrohir returned with a smile on his face. I had almost fallen asleep, but I woke as he slipped under the covers. I turned my head and opened my eyes to look straight into his impish grin.
"Hello," he whispered and chuckled.
"Elrohir, what are you doing here?" I whispered back.
"Laying next to you," he answered and snuggled closer.
"But I thought you we're confined to your rooms?" I said while caressing his cheek gently.
"I was," he mumbled, "but Elladan suddenly decided to help me."
I smiled a secret little smile. "I am glad to hear that."
Elrohir trailed my neck and collarbone lazily with a finger. "Have you thought about it?" he whispered.
"About what?" I smiled as I felt him begin to fumble with the buttons in my nightshirt.
"Binding with me," he said honestly as he began to kiss my exposed shoulder.
I felt a sharp pain in my chest, "Elrohir?" I whispered, "Why do you want to do this?"
"Because I love you," he whispered and kissed the nape of my neck.
"You truly do?" I swallowed hard. "I mean, are you sure you do not just want to have me in order to spite your father?"
Elrohir looked annoyed and sighed, "Why don't you believe me?"
"I don't know," I said in a pained tone, not happy about the hurt look in Elrohir's eyes.
"What can I do to convince you?" Elrohir mumbled and began to trail kisses down my neck again.
"No," I whispered. "I'm tired Elrohir, I want to rest."
But he just continued to kiss and caress, grinding his hardness against my thigh. "Elrohir, I said I don't want to," I said with a little more irritation in my voice. When he still didn't hear me I pushed him away with all the force I had in me. "Elrohir! I said no!" I snarled.
The darkhaired elf seemed startled, "but you always say that."
"I do not care," I hissed and turned my back to him in a quick move. "Please just let me sleep."
I could hear Elrohir sigh before hstedsted his forehead on my shoulder. "Peace Legolas, I just thought you wanted to make love with me," he whispered in an apologizing tone.
I bit my lip, but was determined not to answer him. Who did he think he was? I was not his to play with whenever he felt like it. I was not his toy, and neither was my child. I squeezed my eyes tight. When had I begun to think of it as a child? As it moved around it felt very much alive and real, but still. The bumps on my skin looked more like some angry animal was trapped inside me, not a babe.
"Legolas?" I heard Elrohir say softly, "Please don't be angry with me."
"I am not angry," I whispered, "I am just tired."
"Liar," Elrohir whispered back and kissed my shoulder. " sor sorry if I wronged you."
I sighed and felt a silent sob go through my body. "I am scared," I finally admitted.
Elrohir wrapped his arms around me from behind and kissed my ear. "Don't be," he whispered in an attempt to comfort.
"I miss my home," I said and hid my face in my hands as my teaell ell on the pillow.
"They miss you as well," he said softly and gently squeezed my shoulder.
"No they don't!" I yelled suddenly and sat up freeing myself from Elrohir's arms. "They think me an abnormity, and an outcast." I shook my head violently, "Who in their right mind would love an outcast?"
"So that is what is wrong?" Elrohir said and once more wrapped his arms around me from behind, resting his head on my shoulder "I will not desert you."
"Yes you will, like everyone else," I hissed and tried weakly tt Elt Elrohir's arms away.
"No, I wont. Do you think me so fickle in my love?" he asked a-matter-of-factly.
I nodded. "I was born to greatness Elrohir, just like you. The son of an elven king, one day I was to have my own realm, or to run my father's, but here I am. I am cursed by the Valar, not even knowing why. There is nothing to love. I am but a shadow of myself."
"There is much to love Legolas. Don't judge yourself so harshly." He tried, but when he saw his words did not stop my sobs, he tightened his grip on me. "I love you. I cannot give you a reason for why, I just do."
I nodded. "But I don't understand," I whined.
"You don't have to," Elrohir said and kissed my earlobe again, "just accept it."
"I love you," I whispered and began to sob again, not even understanding why I was crying.
"And I love you," Elrohir replied softly.

I woke in the early morning, feeling nauseous. My stomach hurt. I closed my eyes, hoping to will my aching away. It did, only to return with more force, until I could no longer keep from vomiting. I didn't even notice Elrohir had woken and was now holding my hair as I coughed in dry heaves. "I don't feel so well," I managed to mumble.
"Ai, you are tense as a bowstring," he said and gently guiding me to the mattress
When the pain returned I gritted my teeth and dug my nails into the flesh of Elrohir's arm. "E-Elrohir?" I stuttered and exhaled as the pain subsided once more. I opened my eyes to watch Elrohir in the pale morning light. His complexion was ashen, and his grey eyes were large and dark with fear.
"I am going to fetch ada, don't move." He quickly got off the bed and was in such a hurry he forgot to close the door behind him.
