When Logan Green came to, he noticed the change around him immediately. He didn’t open his eyes, but he knew that something was different. Logan flexed his fingers and toes, then moved his arms and legs without pain, relieved to find all limbs attached. Then he opened his eyes. He looked around in wonder. There were trees everywhere, and all kinds of plants that he didn’t recognize.

Logan was still dressed in his club clothes and the only thing near him was his bag, his guitar still in its case and a new bag that he’s never seen before. He knew what was in his bag; one outfit like he had on, another more casual one, two notebooks with a couple of pencils and pens, a water bottle and a dagger. The dagger was found with him when the doctors took him in, and it was the only thing he could grab on his way out. The other things he came with were just clothes. The dagger was intricate with white handles. It was deadly and very sharp. He found that out when he nearly sliced his hand open several nights after he showed up at the club.

He pulled the dark green bag to him and opened it to find just some more clothes. His favorite hoodie was in there, surprisingly, so he pulled the tie and jacket off and switched. It was--once again--black. Darien had bought it for him on the anniversary of when they all met. Well, they decided they would make that day his birthday since he didn’t remember his true birthday.

Logan stood up and pulled his pack on, strapped the dagger to his studded belt, and picked up the second bag. He pulled the hood over his head and picked a direction to walk in. Several hours later, he was surprising not tired, but he was nervous. All he’s seen since he got here was trees. And now he felt like he was being watched. He looked around, but all he saw was green. Logan pulled his hood down lower over his eyes then grabbed the hilt of his dagger.

“If you’re out there, show yourself!” he called out boldly. Nothing happened. Logan sighed. “Maybe I DO need to quit the other job. The lack of sleep is doing wonders for my senses. Besides, chances are I’m gonna get fired and be kicked out my house anyway. Better do it on my own time…”

“Stop!” The word echoed in Logan’s mind for a moment, before he actually did stop moving.

Next thing Logan knew, he was being held at arrow point. There were only two in front of him, flanking the middle guy, but he felt that there were so much more hiding up in the trees. The one in the middle was tall and imposing. He was fierce yet calm in the face of possible danger. The two next to him were also blonde but they did not have the air of authority that the middle one had.

“Well, at least I know I wasn’t hallucinating. That’s always a good thing,” Logan mentioned. He had his dagger out. He didn’t even know he had drawn it.

“Drop your weapon!” The order came from the one to the right of the center elf.

Logan dropped it. “You could’ve said ‘please.’ ” What could he say? He got the attitude from hanging out at the club. Now he couldn’t stop being a smart ass to certain people. Apparently this guy was on his radar.

“Pull your hood back,” was his next command, however, it wasn’t as harsh as the first two.

“Why? Wanna see my face before you kill me?” he bit out. He didn’t know why, but he felt something would happen if he showed them his face, and he was scared to find out what.

“Remove your hood, or we will remove it for you,” he threatened calmly.

“Fine.” Logan shoved his feelings aside and pulled the hood back. Blonde hair spilled down his shoulders, and his features became clearer. He knew the dark makeup around his eyes would bring out the blue, just as he knew that compared to these guys in leggings and tunics, he looked dangerous. He also knew that these guys could kick his ass because of the way they held themselves. They were warriors, while he, unfortunately, was just a street fighter. He was good on the streets, but here, he felt like he had no chance.

While he was contemplating his chances of survival, he didn’t realize that the blond in front of him was staring at him in shock. “Legolas?”
