He had stopped talking. Just like that. He had no good reason to use words. It could be possible that the phrases which he would create were all untrue. He wanted to stay like this forever. He wanted to keep silent for the rest if his life. Impossible.
They tried everything that one could imagine. Some of his best friends came a long way to visit him, to be with him, to cheer him up. But what was there to do? He had died and there was no way to bring him back. How could they mend his broken heart? Impossible.
Only nearest friends and family were invited to the funeral. That meant almost the whole fellowship was there. Why almost? Because he who would be expected the most to be there didn’t show up at all. He was not at home, it would be the last place where he wanted to be right now. It would only remind him of all the things he had said and done. The last time when he had seen him would come back into his memory. He didn’t want to be reminded. He wanted to forget. Impossible.
They wondered where he could be. When the funeral ended and everyone was sent home they searched everywhere. They went to his house, to friends he had found there, bars, clubs. But he was untraceable. It seemed that he had transformed into thin air. No sign of life.
They forgot one place.
He went there when everyone had left. The grave was closed, earth thrown down on the coffin. In which he lied. Flowers and “Deepest Sympathy”–banners everywhere. He wasn’t able to see the gravestone. He went to his knees and started digging, shoved bouquets and wreaths to the side until he could see it.

Beloved Brother and Friend
An Angel Has Returned To Heaven. We Will Miss You.
The Silence Broke.
“I know I should be quiet. I know I would deserve it. I’m sorry for doing this but it has to be.”
He blinked several times.
“If I said that I didn’t kept you away on purpose it would be a lie. So I won’t say that. But the fact is I never wanted to hurt you. I still see your face when I close my eyes. Your sad eyes. Your tears.”
His voice broke. He cleared his throat.
“I wish you were here right now. Beside me. To comfort me. But it’s my fault you… died.”
Again he failed to speak on. He took a deep breath, fought them, resisted. But the tears were streaming down his face.
“I wish that someday you can forgive me for what I have done to you.”
He let himself fall to the ground covering the whole grave with his body. His fingers dug into the earth as if they tried to break through it, as if he wanted to touch him for the last time.
“I love you…”
~***~
They found him the next morning. One would have thought that was fast asleep if it hadn’t been for the blood that surrounded his head. His hand was tightly wrapped around the gun. His eyes were closed, his body cold, his blood still.
You thought that this story would have a happy-ending? You were wrong.
You thought that he would live on as if nothing had happened? You were wrong.
You thought that he would surely get over it someday? You were wrong.
They can’t be separated. It’s Simply Impossible.
SO? Are you oen of those who read on?
