To Have A Father's Love

Note: The italizied part is a flashback.
A young boy sat in his father’s study, waiting for his father to come talk to him. He was 42 years old with coal black hair and extremely dark brown eyes. His hair hung loosely to just below his shoulders. His ears were even pointed like elf ears. He may be 42 years old but he still had the body and look of a young boy.
He had been in another fight with his brother Anteru. His brother was always calling him half-breed and making fun of him. Arthon was only half elf, but it wasn’t like that was his fault. He looked like an elf except for his hair and eyes. He didn’t see what the problem was since their father also had coal black hair.
*42 years earlier
Elrond was riding toward Rivendell with Aragorn and two guards. Elrond stopped suddenly when he heard crying coming from nearby. He got off of his horse and walked over to where the crying was coming from.
There was a small baby boy wrapped in a blanket and hidden among some low laying bushes. It looked like he had been left there on purpose. Elrond picked up the baby, noticing that the boy’s ears were pointy like elf ears.
Aragorn rode up next to him, "What’s wrong?"
"Some one left a baby out here."
"Who would leave their baby out here?"
"I don’t know. We will take him into the city."
"He looks like an elf or part elf."
Nodding, Elrond handed the baby up to Aragorn, who gently cradled the baby in his arm. Elrond got back on his horse and they rode into the city. Elrond got off of his horse and walked over to Aragorn. He handed the baby over to Elrond. Elrond immediately went to see if he could find a nursing mother to feed the baby. Luckily enough he was able to find one and he left the baby in her care.
He walked into his study and up to Aragorn. Looking at Elrond, "What are you going to do?"
"First I am going to see if I can find his mother."
"You know she may have left him there in hopes of some one taking him."
"Why would any mother abandon her baby like that?"
"Well if she is human and the baby looks like an elf. She may have done it to keep anyone from finding out that the father was an elf."
"Then what do you suggest doing?"
"Well raise the baby here. I can go see if I can find the mother or hope that she comes here to claim him," replied Aragorn sitting down.
Nodding, "And if on one comes forward I will adopt him as my son."
Aragorn nodded and left Elrond alone. Aragorn went to see if he could find the mother, but no one would step up and claim him and theirs. No one came into the city to claim the baby either. So Elrond adopted the baby boy and named him Arthon.
Arthon watched his father walk into the room. Elrond walked over to his desk and sat down. I looked like he was deep in thought. Arthon had always looked up to his father. Elrond just had that authority figure type look about him. Looking at his father, "Adar?"
Looking up at his son, "Your brother has been punished for calling you names, but you shouldn’t have gone after him and punched him."
"I am sorry ada. He pushed me to far, he is always calling me half breed."
Holding out his hand to his son, "I know. I am trying to decide what to do. I think that I am going to send you to Lothlorien to live until you are older."
Walking up to his father, "But adar, I want to stay here."
Taking Arthon into his arms, "I know you want to stay here. I am only trying to do what is best for you. I want you to at least stay there until you are old enough to defend yourself. Do this for me. I am only trying to protect you."
"But ada..."
Putting his finger against Arthon’s lips, "Ssshhh, I want you to go there under the watch of Haldir. He can teach you to defend yourself. It will only be for a little while."
