Arwen Can Be Sarcastic
Okay, by now everyone should know that I DO NOT OWN LORD OF THE RINGS! Is this clear? <> means thoughts.
Manda woke up in a completely white room. At first, she thought she was in heaven. But, after the throbbing pain in her head registered, she realized that she wasn’t. Because she doubted there was this much pain in it. She tried to sit up, but only succeeded in making her head hurt worse. "I take it that you’re awake then." She attempted to see where the voice came from, but she couldn’t see enough to view her. Because it was a female, the tone of the voice told her that much.
"Don’t move, it’ll only make it worse." The woman came into view. Then a thought hit her. "Can you do me a favor, um…" "My name is Arwen." "Could you please hit me?"
Arwen looked at her, wondering if she realized what she just said. So she asked her what she said. And again, she asked to be hit, slapped, or pinched. All of which appalled Arwen.
So she tried to distract the poor girl. "You’ve had quite a few visitors today. Everyone wants to talk to you. Especially Legolas…he’s been hovering around this room since he brought you in."
This time it was Manda’s turn to be astonished. "He’s been hovering around here? How long have I been here?" "A day and a half. You’ve been asleep most of the time…" Whatever else she was going to say was abruptly stopped when Legolas himself flew into the room. "You’re awake. Arwen, why didn’t you tell me?" "Because she just woke up. May I speak to you for a moment?"
Arwen should have known he’d be there right away. She turned towards him. "I think that she’s sicker than she looks. When she first woke up, she asked me to hit her." "Well, maybe she thought this a dream. She is human, you know…" Arwen cut him off. "Was human…and I don’t want to be here when she finds out."
She looked at him one last time, with a smirk on her face. "And if anything happens, I’ll know of it."
It took a few seconds before what Arwen said finally kicked in…and then he made a mental note to get revenge on her later. In the meantime, the girl had managed to prop herself on one of the pillows, and was sitting up. And she was looking at him weirdly. The expression seemed to tell him that she knew they were talking about her.
