Misunderstanding *Beta Version*

A/N: I had always planned for Orophin and Rumil to be in this story (see reviews). I never forget them!

Since we're doing A/N, here's B/N(beta notes): * marked with aterisks are several repititions of the word scared, and also a plot hole. You ought to find a different word than scared, despite being cliché, I don't think big butch manly elf men would be 'scared'. :) just my opinion. The plot hole is: you mentioned Galadriel as Haldir's mother, which if its not a mistake this would be an AU, and Celeborn/Haldir would be incestous. *shudder* Twincest is one thing. Speaking of which, are they doing one another? People will wonder, you know how pervy the mob tends to be. Anyway, carry on!

A/N pt 2: Ok First Haldir and his brothers are adopted! THERE IS NO INCEST TO THIS FIC! Second Orophin and Rumil ARE NOT shagging!!! They are straighter then boards!!! Third Again no major changes just the word scared was replaed by confused and distraught.

B/N pt 2: Pissy!Glorfindel! Balrogs, be afraid. Very, very afraid.

A/N pt 3: Pissy Glorfindel is so hot!!!

~*~*~*~*~*

Haldir woke up in the wee hours of the morning hungry and confused. He was distressed because he was hungry and the disturbing craving wouldn't leave him alone. He desperately wanted strawberries and grapes dipped in honey. He curled up into a ball and wanted to cry. So many strange things were going on inside of him and he didn't know how to deal with them. A soft knock interrupted his thoughts and he bade whoever was knocking to enter. Elladan and Elrohir entered carrying a tray filled with food and drink.
"Are you hungry?" asked Elrohir.
Haldir nodded but he didn't move from his fetal position. "Can't eat...get sick." he muttered, feeling the familiar nausea rise up in him.
The twins busied themselves with building up firefire and brewing tea. While Elladan made the tea Elrohir set up the tray they had brought. Elladan took the tea over and made Haldir drink all of it. After a few minutes the nausea began to subside a bit. Nodding happily as Haldir visibly relaxed, Elladan sat on the bed. Elrohir brought over a tray of fruit and lembas and handed it to Haldir. Haldir ate a few bites of lembas, an apple, and some grapes (no honey though). Sighing, Haldir handed the still-full plate to Elrohir, who took it, frowning. At that moment Haldir missed his brothers. He wished they were there to hug and comfort him. Besides the twins, and Celeborn and Galadriel they were the only people he let near him when he was uncertain. Almost as if they read his mind they lay on either side of him and pulled him close. He sighed, tears welling up in his eyes, as he was surrounded by love and comfort. Tears fell freely down his face as his mood changed from depressed to content in minutes. Elladan rubbed his back in soothing circles, releasing some of the tension.
"What's wrong?" Elrohir asked.
"I'm mostly confused and a litte scared. I don't know what's going to happen...This is so new...I...I" he broke off crying even harder.
"Shhhhh....don't worry. Whatever happens we will be there for you as will Celeborn, Galadriel, Ada, your brothers, Erestor, and Glorfindel." Elrohir said as he hugged his friend.
They held Haldir as he fell into a deep troubled sleep. They looked at each other and sighed; they had never seen Haldir so distraught.
~*~*~*~*~*~*~

Haldir did little more then eat and sleep for the next three days. Lord Elrond said it was because his body needed to adjust to the oddities of pregnancy. Finally after three days, Haldir had had enough. Early in the morning he got up and dressed before he walked out into the garden. The fresh breeze on his face and cool grass under his feet made him feel much better. He sat under a big old oak tree and removed his boots. Sighing, he thought of Celeborn and of their last night together. Suddenly he thought of Galadriel aaspeasped. What did she think of this? He wondered what she would do when she got here. He closed his eyes and fell asleep. He awoke when he heard soft footsteps pause next to him. He looked up into the eyes of Lady Galadriel, and shocked, he merely gaped at her.

Waking from his stupor, he sprang to his feet only to stagger under the dizziness that swept over him. Galadriel grasped his arm to keep him from falling.
"Milady! I am so sorry I didn't plan this! I swear milady! Please don't send me away! I'll do anything!" Haldir babbled inanely.
"Haldir hush!" she commanded and he immediatly quieted with a low whimper. She could see genuine fear in his eyes. "I am not going to send you away! Celeborn loves you and so do I. This changes nothing. I am glad for you both. Celeborn has always wanted more children and I was unable to give them to him."
Haldir stared at her, incredulous, trying to absorb all she said. Galadriel hugged him close trying to reassure him.
"Now Elrond has been looking for you and Celeborn wants to see you." she admonished him.
"I was tired of laying down. I may be pregnant but not an invalid." Haldir snapped.
Galadriel hid the smile on her face at his abrupt mood swing. "I know but it takes male elven bodies longer to adjust. As you saw by how you almost fainted when you stood."
Haldir frowned not wanting to be reminded of his current weakness.
"Oh and your brothers are here!" she smiled at the look on his face.
Together thade ade their way to Elrond's study where Celeborn waited.
~*~*~*~*~*~*

The minute he walked into the study he was pulled into a warm embrace. He clutched at Celeborn and cried. Celeborn patted his back and maneuvered the two of them until he was sitting on the couch with Haldir curled up in his lap. Haldir clung to him like an elfling again. He didn't know why all his intense emotions made him cry, he was so happy that Celeborn was here. Celeborn contiuned to rock and soothe him, and Galadriel and Elrond were talking softly about Haldir when the door burst open and Orophin and Rumil came inside, followed by two very angry looking elves and the twins. Glorfindel ordered Rumil and Orophin to sit down and shut up. Stunned silence greeted Glorfindel's angry words. The elda never lost his cool composure.
"Glorfindel, what is wrong?" Galadriel asked startled.
"Your sons....they...they are the most uncouth beings I have ever met! I'd rather face the balrog again if I had to live with those two!" he snapped, glaring at the elves. "What did they do?" Galadriel asked, more confused than ever.
Glorfindel was so angry he couldn't even answer her question. Erestor laid his hand on Glorfindel's arm to calm him.
"Ask them." he ground out as he paced.
Haldir peeked out at his brothers and worried that it was about him.
"Boys?" Galadriel asked in her most queenly tone.
They sighed and stared at the ground blushing. "We said that we didn't like the thought of two men sleeping with each other. We didn't mean to make him so angry." they were confused as to why Glorfindel would react that way.
Haldir closed his eyes before he jumped up shouting. "How could you say such a thing? How can you be so mean and close minded?"
They gaped at their brother shocked silent by his outburst.
"How do you think I got pregnant? Huh?" Haldir snapped at his brothers.
They suddenly remembered their Ada saying something about pregnancy and Haldir but they thought he had impregnated a woman. Suddenly they were ashamed.
"We thought they meant you got a woman pregnant." Rumil offered feebly.
"No! And I hate you! Stay the hell away from me and mine!" Haldir said as tears slid down his face as he turned and ran out of the room.
