Dinner & the council of Galadriel
Disclaimer-I own no Lord of the Rings characters, they are all the ingenius creation of Professor J.R.R. Tolkien. However, Elbereth & Amarie are my creations.
A/N-this is my very first fan fic, so if its not very good, forgive me!
Chapter 2-Dinner & the council of Galadriel
Elbereth walked slowly towards the dinner hall, trying to figure out why she reacted the way she did. When she reached the dinning hall, she took her place to the side of Galadriel. Elbereth's mother & father were advisors to Lord Celeborn & Lady Galadriel, & because of that Elbereth & her family were held in a high honor & were always seated next to the Lord & Lady.
During dinner Elbereth was for the most part, quiet, unless she was spoken to, which was unusual because Elbereth always talked.
After dinner was over, Galadriel motioned for Elbereth to come to her.
Elbereth went over to Galadriel & curtsied "yes, my lady, is there anything you wish of me?".
Galadriel motioned for Elbereth to rise "yes, I wish to speak to you. Come with me"
Elbereth followed Galadriel to her chambers & waited for her to speak.
"I sensed that there is something wrong with you tonight, do you wish to speak of it with me?" Galadriel questioned her.
Elbereth sighed & told her what had happened after Haldir had kissed her cheek "and then I blushed, although I do not know why. I know it doesn't mean anything it's just a friendly kiss on the cheek"
Galadriel nodded & questioned Elbereth "do you have feelings for Haldir?".
Elbereth sighed "I'm not sure, I have always thought of him as my closest friend. but...now" she sighed.
Galadriel nodded for her to continue
Elbereth looked away & continued " but lately every time I see him, I begin to feel odd, my heart races, my breath shortens, & I feel light headed. What does it all mean?" she asks Galadriel.
Galadriel's face lights up in a smile "My dear Elbereth, I do believe you are love with the Marchwarden"
Elbereth looks at her questionly "in love? how could I be in love with him? he's my friend."
Galadriel smiles again "sometimes friendship turns to love"
Elbereth slowly nods "what should I do? Does he love me?"
"That I cannot tell you, only he knows the answer to that" Galadriel answers
"What if he does love me?" Elbereth asks
Galadriel smiles "then you two will have to decide what happens."
"Do you have any other advice for me?" Elbereth asks
Galadriel's smile fades "the only thing I will tell you, is that if you two exchange your feelings towards each other, one that you know well will try to interfere and stop it."
Elbereth looks at her confused
Galadriel waves her hand to dismiss her "go take some rest now, do not worry"
Elbereth curties "yes my lady, thank you"
Galadriel nods & walks away.
Elbereth slowly walks back to her home, pondering everything Galadriel had just said to her....
