Poor Elf

A/N: Personally I think that Aragorn would do anything to save his friend as long as it didn't risk Arwen's health. He loves her too much to give that up. So he would most likely confirm it with her.

Chapter 2

Arwen approached Legolas’ door and saw her husband crouched on the ground with tears streaming down his face. His brown curls hanging in a depressive wave over his shoulders and sticking to his face. “What happened?”

“He wants me to help him survive. And I cannot.” Aragorn started shaking. He placed his hands over his face. The Queen kneeled and brought her husband to her chest. Legolas loves my husband? I can’t give him up. I can’t give either of them up. Legolas…what is it you need? She continued to rock him back and forth until his breathing evened out. “My King, are you going to wipe your tears or should I? You need to be strong. I need you to follow my lead. If you love both of us you will help me.

Arwen gracefully stood and stepped over the torn door. Estel right behind her. She looked at Gimli.

“How is he?”

“He is dead…” Gimli rumbled in his deep baritone.

Arwen glided over to the window side of the bed and sat opposite to Gimli. She placed her hand on Gimli’s trembling shoulder and gazed up at her husband. “Let me see him Gimli” Gimli back away and she lifted Legolas’ head into her lap. “My kin. My brother. Wake.” She bent low and kissed him lightly on the lips. “You can bond to me and save your soul.”

Aragorn peered into the darkness and shook his head. “Arwen! This is not the lead I thought you would take! What about our love?!”

“If you will not save him I WILL!” She cried. “Our love will last forever…but what is one more in our embrace.” She bent over again and breathed into Legolas life.

Legolas jerked once then fell still again. She tried again. And again he jerked and fell silent. Evenstar gazed with teary eyes to her husband. “Help me?”

Aragorn shook his head. For the first time in his life he was afraid. His retreating feet fell into the hall. His wife, his only love was asking him to kiss his best friend. A male. No this was not right! This was wrong!

“Estel! He is your best friend! Help me save him. Let us both bond to him so he may heal!”

Aragorn stopped. The thought struck him. Yes both of us with his heart as a burden couldn’t be so bad… He took one tentative step forward as if the floor it self would fall beneath his feet. “Gimli, I need you to leave.” He walked beside Gimli and nodded to the pensive Dwarf. “It is alright my friend.” He said when he noticed Gimli putting his hand on his beloved axe.

Gimli nodded curtly and stormed out slamming what was left of the door harder then he thought he was going to. He turned and then he noticed the whole in the door. He walked back to the door and sat. I will take care of them. No one shall pass this door tonight! Gimli thought.

Aragorn bent down too look his wife in the eyes. “Are you sure? This is quite strange.”

She acquiesced. Aragorn bent his head. He gazed at the blonde elf in front of him. His wife was more beautiful but she had some competition with this elf. His lips lightly brushed Legolas’. Leaf jumped and he shook slightly. Arwen was amazed that he husband had this much of an impact on the stubborn elf. She put her hands on both of Estel’s shoulders. “More” She said as she pushed her husband towards their friend’s lips. She watched as her husband finally crushed their lips together.

Legolas felt like he was falling. The world was spinning and he felt light headed. He felt a tongue trace his lips. He opened his mouth and took the tongue in, moaning when his tongue collided with the invading one. He felt something rough rub against his chin and cheeks. Then as quick as it started it had ended. He slowly opened his eyes. He gasped when he saw who had saved him. “Aragorn!”

Both lovers gazed lovingly down at the shocked blond. Arwen smiled.

“We won’t let you fade.” She sang while gently caressing his cheek. She bent down and her lips brushed against his. Legolas was shocked and then with bent up passion he smiled and kissed her back. He had always found her attractive. Evenstar was the most beautiful in all middle earth. Aragorn was one luck man. He was beautiful and graceful and he had a wife that could match. He groaned when she withdrew. Aragorn looked down on Legolas.

“Are you ready to be healed?” Arwen smiled as she rested her head on his chest to make sure this was a dream. Legolas trembled…

“Yes.”
