Mirkwood
Chapter 2
One second Tilara saw the carpet of her living room under feet, the next
she was looking at lush, green grass. She looked up to find herself on
the banks of some river.
"Where the hell am I?" She gazed at the dark woods in the near distance
across the river in one direction, and a formidable looking gate in the
other.
Somebody tapped her on the shoulded shd she spun around, nearly colliding
with whoever stood so closely behind her. She blinked and raised her
head, let out a gasp and began to fall backwards. The Elven Prince before
her quickly stepped forward and caught her with ease, a smile turning up
the corners of his mouth, his blue eyes sparkling merrily.
"Happy birthday and welcome to Mirkwood, m'Lady," his voice was barely
above a whisper.
She just stared back for a moment. "Um... hi... uh, Prince Legolas." What
did one say to royalty who was holding you in his arms? Fantasizing about
him was one thing, but when you actually had him standing before you it
was another.
He laughed; a cute, heart flopping little laugh. "Legolas is fine."
She hadn't noticed, until he set her on her feet and stooped down to the
ground, that she had dropped the key. Legolas lifted it by the chain,
obviously knowing full well what it was. He pocketed it in his tunic and
offered her his arm.
"Would you care for a personal tour of the Halls?"
She slipped an arm through his and glanced at the gates, seemingly dark
and dreary. "Isn't there something we could tour out here?"
"Of course."
He turned and led her down to a more wooded area on the river banks where
boulders of various sizes also provided furniture of sorts for them to
sit upon.
Tilara sat dond snd stretched out her legs as Legolas took a seat next to
her. "So," he whispered into her ear, "what did you have planned for your
birthday?"
She hadn't realized he was so close and ted ted away a few inches. The
motion was not lost on him, but he did not look the least bit offended.
He patiently waited for an answer.
"Um... well... I hadn't planned on coming here, that's for sure."
He tilted his head slightly. "Are you displeased that you are here?"
She adamantly shook her head. "Of course not. It's a wonderful
opportunity. I'm very glad to be here."
smilsmiled as he looked out over the river flowing by. "Ah, yes it is a
wonderful opportunity. To do many things. Tell me, what opportunities
would you seek while you are here?"
She looked at him, but he was still gazing out onto the river. "Well,
there are too many to name just a few."
He looked down at her. "Then name them all."
A blank look crossed her face. "I can say this is not a conversation I
expected to have the opportunity to have."
"Can I inform you of what I was looking forward to having the opportunity
to do?" He didn't wait for an answer, however. He leaned forward
suddenly, a hand gently gripping the back of her neck, pulling her
towards him as his kissed her. The tip of his tongue caressed her lips.
She pushed him away before he could go any further and stood up, a bit
flustered. "I do not believe, M'Lord, that is the proper behavior for an
Elf of your status. The consequences that could arise if you were
seen..."
"Are a matter of little importance to me," he interrupted. He took a
couple of steps toward her, to which she backed up three more. "Forgive
me for my abrupt actions... but I do not honestly believe you wish to
spend the day touring Mirkwood."
She stilled and looked at the ground, the rocks, the river, everything,
but at him. He continued stepping towards her until she had backed up
against one of the large boulders. He leaned in upon oned. Sd. She could
feel his breath on the top of her head.
"M'Lady?" He lifted a hand to brush against the caramel skin below his
fingertips.
"Mmm?"
"Look at me." It was more of an order than a request.
And she obeyed. He was smiling at her in an amused sort of way. This time
when he leaned in to kiss her, she let him. He pulled back a few inches.
"Perhaps we should take that tour of the palace; I know of a room you
would like."
She hardly nodded before he was grasping her hand and leading her back to
the gates of his Mirkwood home. They stopped suddenly just before the
gates, however. She gave him a puzzled look, even more so when he dangled
a blindfold before her.
He smiled reassuringly. "Indulge me?"
She nodded and allowed him to tie it on. He tucked her arm into his and
led her through the gates. She lost track of how many turns they took and
she heard no sounds except for her light footsteps along the way. Even
though she knew Legolas was beside her, she heard not one sound from him.
He finally drew her to a stop and she heard a door close behind her. The
next moment she found herself pushed up tightly against that door, as
Legolas firmly held her there, his lips devouring her with uncoiled
passion. Her arms seemed to find their way around his neck of their own
accord. He bit at her lower lip gently, sending shivers of anticipation
down her spine. She felt a hand roaming down her side, as it searched for
the hem of her dress.
His husky voice poured into her ear as he began nipping at her neck. "If
only you would be here for life... that I could take such sweet time with
you."
His hand found her bare leg, sliding along her thigh and hips until it
rested upon her back, pushing her forward into him. She moaned softly
into his ear as he ped hed himself against her. His free hand delved
under her dress, brushing against the inside of her thigh as he took a
step back from her. His fingers found her already wet as he thrust a
couple into her, coaxing a low moan from her. She began to use the door
as leverage, pushing against his hand. He bent down slightly, his mouth
pulling at a nipple through the thin fabric of the dress. Her fingers
drifted into his hair, holding him to her.
Suddenly he pulled away and was no longer touching her and she let out a
cry of protest and began reaching for the blindfold. His hands almost
immediately caught hers.
"No. Not yet."
"But... where are you going?"
He lifted her dress again and pressed against her. "Nowhere." He had
divested himself of his leggings. His arms wound around her and then he
was lifting her up, as he sheathed himself inside her. She heard his soft
moan as he stilled, shifting to a better stance as her legs tightened
around him. Without bothering to think what he might do, she ripped the
blindfold off.
His eyes were a stormy blue and there was a slight blush to his features.
He held her gaze steadily for a few moments. He bit his bottom lip as he
began thrusting into her, slow and deep.
The thought of who might be passing outside in the hall briefly entered
her mind as each thrust resulted in a loud bang against the door. It
scattered like leaves in the wind when he lifted her a few more inches,
each breath coming quicker, his hot hardness stroking her with each move.
She threw her head back against the door, vaguely aware that it stung a
bit, letting out a scream as they came. Legolas leaned against her as he
quieted, trying to catch his breath. He lifted his head and looked at
her, grinning like the cat who'd caught the Canary. He gently set her
feet upon the floor and then pulled her along to the bed sitting against
the far wall, eager to continue their fun.

"Oh," Mary pouted. "Do you have to leave?" She had her arms wrapped
around Thranduil's arm.
"Yes, do you? You'll be sorely missed," voiced Donna.
Thranduil eyed Donna, who had Elladan rubbing her feet and Elrohir
nipping at her ear as she sat in his lap. A smirk accompanied the sharp
glint in Thranduil's eye. "Surely I will not be as missed as either of
the sons of Elrond should they leave," he teased.
"Well, you will be missed by me," Mary said, trying the puppy dog look on
him. It wasn't working.
He pulled himself out of the chair he and Mary had been sharing and she
fell down into it from the arm. "I'm dreadfully sorry, but duty calls."
He glanced around where most of the ELVES_R_US groupies were being
entertained, or entertaining, one Elf or another. One pair seemed quite
at a standstill. Erestor sat as straight-backed on a stool brought out
from the kitchen as he did at Elrond's Council meetings. Char sitting
next to him, desperately trying to entice to to do more than sit there
with a plate of refreshments she held in her lap, filled with
strawberries, grapes, and other miscellaneous fruits.
Thranduil merely raised his eyebrows. "Besides, I must see that the guest
of honor is returned to finish her lovely day among such admirable
friends. I'm sure she would hate to miss it."
Neume snorted. "Not as much as she'd miss the Prince."
"Well, duty calls him too I'm afraid. She will, unfortunately, be losing
his company for the rest of the day if she stayed. Now, I really must
leave. Farewell to you all."
Nobody saw what he did, or if he did anything. He was just... gone. Back
to Mirkwood.

There was a knock at the door and Legolas ventured out of the bed to
answer it. A slightly irritated looking Thranduil stood there.
"I am sorry to disturb you," he said in his own greeting way, though he
didn't particularly look all that sorry. "But there are visitors here who
wish to bestow you with," he sneered slightly, "another birthday gift."
Having said what he came to say, without a goodbye he turned and
continued down the hall.
Tilara jumped slightly at the loud bang that issued from a short distance
away. Legolas turned his head to look at her, a teasing smile on his
face.
"Whoever it is, he doesn't think very highly of them... that could be a
fair number of people. Shall we go see who it is?"
She noddnd snd swung her feet out of the bed, hurrying to get dressed.
Tilara impatiently kept pace with Legolas, if only because if she went
running ahead she'd get lost. It took an eternity it seemed to reach the
throne room, where the backs of three golden-haired figures greeted them.
Legolas cleared his throat and the three smoothly turned to face them,
revealing the famed brothers of Lothlorien. Each bowed and pressed a hand
to their chest in a friendly salute. Then the middle brother stepped
forward, bestowing a charming smile upon Tilara, as he turned and
gestured to the arm's width box that had been hidden behind them.
"Lord Celeborn and Lady Galadriel send their best wishes and a token of
the friendship of our people." Haldir gave her another bow, stepping
clear of the box as Orophin and Rumil took to a knee to lift the lid.
Inside was a fine Elven dagger of the Galadrim. It didn't look like it
had ever been used; the etchings swirdowndown the blade. Mallorn leaves
decorated the dark leather sheath beside it. Rarely were the weapons of
the Galadrim given freely to anyone, even their own Mirkwood kin.
She clapped her hands together and looked up at Haldir. "Oh, thank you!
Thank *everyone* for me!"
All four Elves broke out into grins and laughed. Haldir nodded his head.
"I shall see it done."
One of the servants of the household came running in, quickly whispering
in Legolas' ear. He nodded and she hurried off.
"'Tis time for you to return and I have been summoned by my father. Some
pressing matter that cannot wait, I'm sure." He smiled as he kissed her
hand. "My only wish is that I could escort you home."
"M'Lord, perhaps allow myself and my brothers to escort her and her gift
home," Haldir volunteered.
Legoloas nodded. "I thank you. Perhaps, if you are all lucky the party
shall still be continuing."
Haldir smiled as he held out his arm for Tilara. "We shall hope so."
Rumil linked arms with Orophin, who held onto the box, as Haldir's free
hand took the other side, Tilara on his other arm. Legolas pulled the key
out of his tunic by the chain and handed it to Tilara, who brushed his
fingers as she took it.
He bowed. "Until we met again."
Tilara smiled and grasped the key, taking her and her escort home to an
ongoing party.
