Comfoting His Savior
Glorfindel struggled to keep his footing amost the onslaught of Orc.
He knew he was going to die. He sent a quick prayer to the Valar
that his soul would reach Mandos yet again. Suddenly a white tipped
arrow buried it's self in the nearest Orc. Glorfindel immediatly
knew a guardian was nearby. This gave him renewed strength and faith.

Rumil dropped down from the tree and unsheathed his sword. He wasn't
sure if they would live but he would die fighting, not on his knees!
Him and the unknown elf fought valiantly until only one remained.
The elf quickly slayed it before he turned to Rumil.
"Diola lle mellonamin. I am Glorfindel of Imladris." said the elf.
"I am Rumil o Lorien." Rumil said as he looked Glorfindel in the
eye.
He gasped when he felt this instant connection with the elf. Rumil
turned slightly and tried to regain his composure.
"Are you alright?" Glorfindel asked the guardian.
"Ai....I am well and you?" he inquired polietly.
"Fine."
"Why weren't you with Elrond and Erestor?" Rumil asked a bit coldly.
Glorfindel was taken aback by his tone.
"The wished to see your brothers and I needed time alone." he
explained.
"Don't you know how dangerous that is???" Rumil didn't know why he
was acting so horrid.
Glorfindel glared at the elf and went to his felled horse. He said a
prayer for the steed before he took his belongings. He started
toward Lothlorien. Rumil fell into step next to him.
"I apologize. I was unfairly rude. Tis not you I am angry with."
RUmil said his head bowed.
Glorfindel sighed. "Then kindly do not take your anger out on me."
Rumil felt his eyes fill with tears. "I will leave you then."
"Nay. Please walk with me?" Glorfindel offered.
Rumil smiled and nodded he felt much better. They walked in silence
for a few miles before Glorfindel spoke.
"Why are yoset?set?"
"My broters forget I exist when Elrond and Erestor arrive... They
saw them and I didn't even rate a hello. I know they are in love and
get such few times together. But I am their brother! I Hate them!"
Rumil spat out as tears fell down his face.
Glorfindel guided him to a tree and they sat.
"You are angry so I doubt you hate them. Talk to them. Tell them how
you feel." Glorfindel advised.
"Nay they would think me petty and childish. Will I ever find
someone to love?" Rumil looked to Glorfindel with tears in his eyes.
"Ai. You will young one." Glorfindel hugged Rumil closse and was
shocked by the connection felt. Shocked by h ow much he cared for
this virtual stranger. They sat embracing under the tree for hours
until elven reverie claimed them.
