Legolas and Elrohir stared at Haldir in shock.
"How...can you know so soon?" Legolas whispered.
"It's easy concentrate on your own fea....and your body will "tell" you so to speak.. You can sense their tiny inner lights and fea. I sense two in my body..." Haldir haltingly explained.
Elrohir sat next to Haldir and pulled him into a loving embrace.
"My Ada can tell you for sure if you want. I mean before you go tell Celeborn you should be sure right...?"
Legolas was nodding his head earnestly as he held out his hand to help Haldir up. Haldir accepted the hand as he stood. They walked into the house in silence. Legolas took Haldir into the Healing wing as Elrohir went to find his Ada. Hend Lnd Lord Elrond talking to several represetatives from a nearby human settlement.
"Yes Ion?" Elrond didn't look up from the maps they were pouring over.
"Haldir needs you..."
Elrond looked up sharply. "Is he sick again?"
"Nay...it's well personal." Elrohir did not want to discuss this in front fo the humans.
Elrond nodded and rolled up the maps.
"Go to the healing wing and I shall be there shortly."
Elroir nodded and exited the room. He found Haldir laying on a bed while Legolas paced the room. Shaking his head Elrohir sat.
"Ada will be here soon."
After a few minutes that, to Haldir, seemed like an eternity Elrond entered the room. Haldir quietly told him of is suspicions and Elrond told him that elves could sense their babies. After a simple examination he agreed that Haldir was in fact carying twins. Elrohir and Legolas stared in complete shock as Haldir sruggled not to cry. They had never seen the stoic Marchwarden like this before. It was sort of jarring. Elrond spoke a few quiet words of wisdom to comfort Haldir. After a few minutes Haldir stood and exited the room as he looked for Celeborn. He found his lover and mate to be in the library alone. Celeborn looked up and smiled but he noted the look on Haldir's face.
"Whats wrong Haldir?" standing he tried to embrace Haldir but the marchwarden stepped back.
"I'm having twins...."
"What?!?!?!"
