*~*~*~*~*~*~*~
Erestor replayed all that information his mind stored, about the bond he made with Glorfindel. He was sure that this bond wouldn't interfere much with their lives but he knew that he was mistaken. First of all, if he was to mate with his husband he would become pregnant and that thought made him shudder. He couldn't imagine himself with the child but at the same time he wondered how he would feel with the small person inside of him, using his body to support his small heart.

Erestor turned his head to the left side where his husband lay and he smiled at the blond elf, who was drifting soundlessly into his sleep. Glorfindel told him that his previous plan won't work, because they have to stay bd ind in order to survive. Glorfindel sounded so reluctant in the beginning and now he just educated Erestor about their bond. Erestor hoped Glorfindel would allow him to be close because he cherished these moments when he shared the bed with the other elf. Their relationship was tricky and Erestor wondered if it was going to survive.

Glorfindel quickly pulled his body to the sitting position, disturbing his sleep as he did that, and he unexpectedly sneered at the Erestor. He was thinking about this bond and every time the solution came to him, it was a wrong one. Raven haired elf was quiet too, probably trying to figure out things his own way but the resolution was escaping every time.

"Glorfindel, you are awake. I thought you fell asleep just now." Erestor softly said and he scanned his husbands form, finding that the tiredness lined Glorfindel's features.

"How can I sleep, when every time I dream about those foul creatures touching me. I want to stay awake for the rest of my life." Glorfindel grumbled and Erestor decided to mend this conversation with something more entertaining tonight.

"Do you want me to read to you, or maybe we could just enjoy the battle game Elrond brought from his study. I cannot sleep myself, so I shall keep you company tonight." Erestor asked Elda and he smiled at him, hoping Glorfindel won't shun him from his side.

"And how am I supposed to play. I cannot be moved to the table and I cannot move my body on the bed either. How do you propose we do this, because I would very much enjoy to beat you at this game." Glorfindel for the first time gave Erestor that teasing smile, he was so known for, and Erestor blushed, thanking the Valar Glorfindel didn't refuse his idea.

"Oh, I could place long breakfast tray over your stomach and I could sit opposite from you while we play the game. I think that tray has enough width so we can place the game upon it." Erestor came quickly to solution and Glorfindel nodded in agreement. Advisor stood up and went to the table where he picked up the tray and he placed it over Glorfindel's chest. Then he deposited the game on it and he sat down on the bed, taking almost the opposite side from Glorfindel. Glorfindel made himself busy and he pilled the pieces on the board putting them on their rightful places. After he was finished he nodded to Erestor and they started playing the battle game. They were quiet for some time and Glorfindel was the first one who dared to disturb that silence.

"Erestor, I don't know if I told you this before...but... I am very thankful that you brought me back. I don't know how many elves would risk their lives for me, and I am so touched by your gentle soul. I hope you will forgive me for my harsh words, I uttered before, Erestor. I was a fool to think you are my worst enemy, because now I know you are really est est friend. Thank you Erestor, and I say this from the bottom of my heart." Glorfindel smiled fondly at his husband and Erestor's blush deepened. He couldn't believe what he was hearing from Glorfindel's' mouth and he pinched himself to check if he was dreaming. But this was not a dream and Erestor responded with the confusion in his voice.

"What? I thought you were so mad at me..... that you would never forgive me. I cannot believe I am hearing the words of appraisal coming from you. I saved you because I love you Glorfindel, and love is the one thing that pushed me to take this risk." Erestor shook his head as if trying to clear it and he glared at the Elda with his suspicious gaze. Why would Glorfindel forgive him that easily? He didn't deserve that forgiveness, yet.

"I would put that bitter quarrel behind us, Erestor. It is not worthy of splitting our friendship apart. I didn't think I would get to say this but I think the best thing to do now is to figure out how this bond works. If we are required to stay together then we should try and do so. If we are to stay together you will have to learn how to mend my broken mind. I am not the same anymore, and I can feel that floating darkness above my head. I still fell their claws touching my body and I would like to replace all those memories with the new, pleasant ones. I was raped and used but broken my spirit will not be. I will chose to survive my shaming peril the best as I can, and I can use your help in chasing that darkness away."
Glorfindel's eyes darkened a bit and Erestor brought his hand to the others face. He finally saw the pain that radiated from his husbands soul and he promised to himself he would be there for him and he would try his best to make Glorfindel happy again.

"But what about love, Glorfindel. I love you and I will be there for you, but what about you loving me back. Can you find it in your soul to count me as the one in your heart. I will never abandon you, but I need to know if there is some hope for me to be loved back."
Erestor asked that hard question and he needed to know what were his chances to win Glorfindel's' heart. He knew that Valandil possessed it right now but he hoped that future would change Glorfindel's whims of the heart.

"I will certainly try to return your feelings, but my broken soul needs time to heal. You have to be patient, Erestor. I already feel respect for you and in time, I hope, I will come to love your gentle heart." Erestor lowered his head and he appreciated Glorfindel's honesty on that matter. They remained playing the battle game all through the night, stealing the secret glances at each other, and sometimes Glorfindel looked irritated when Erestor announced that he was winner of the battle game one more time. Silence was now welcome because they had some decisions to make in their minds and the battle game was sometimes forgotten, because the thoughts about their bond were more important.
~*~*~*~*

Stinah nervously strolled up and down and he muttered some words under his breath. Semar looked at the other elf and he tried to figure out other's weirdness, because never in his lifetime did he encounter Stinah like that.

"Why, why is he here. What did I do, to be punished like this? I barely got over him and he decided to show his face again." Stinah whispered those words as he bit his nails, and Semar decided that he had seen enough. He decided to ask his friend what bothered him and he decided to proceed with caution, because quite frankly Stinah was scaring him right now.

"Meldir, what ails you. You look pale as the white rag. What is the matter." Semar asked his friend and he got a furious glare in return. Stinah was mad now and Semar regretted asking those questions.

"Him, it is him. That devil who broke my heart in shreds. He never loved me. He never regretted his actions. He enjoyed his wicked ways and his unfaithfulness al des destroyed me."
Stinah said those words in the open dismay and he brushed one furious tear that leaked from his eye.

"I assume you are talking about Haldir, meldir. But he is far away from you, and you don't have to worry about him anymore." Semar tried to comfort his friend with these words and he hugged Stinah in warm embrace.

"He is not far, meldir. I met him today at the cabins as he was riding toward Rivendell. And I was not surprised to see him glowing at my despair. He looks as if our break up didn't affect him at all. All those years I shared with him, I wish I could forget. I wish that was blind at the matters of the heart."
Stinah shook his head and he remembered what was it like to be held by those strong arms. He cursed his mind because he couldn't escape those pilled up memories inside of his head.

FLASHBACK:

It was a day, not so important as any day, but it was a day when his heart was sliced and delivered on the plate. He was coming from Lord Celeborn's study and he wanted to cherish the end of a day with his lover, but if he had knew what lay inside of his talan, he would have turned away from that path. He opened the door of his warm home and he let out the cry that pierced his being. There on the floor lay his lover, as he was being taken by the mere elfling, called Valandil. Haldir opened his eyes from the divine feeling that went through him and he saw the sight of his shocked love standing there at the door. He called for Stinah but his call went to deaf ears. He untangled himself from the young body and he went to search for his hurt lover, knowing that maybe he had lost his Stinah forever.

Three days later:

Stinah mounted his horse and he said good-bye to Lothlorien with the broken, saddened heart. Haldir showed up in a tick of the time and he stopped Stinah's horse from going any further. Stinah's wer were full of tears and Haldir sighed, feeling his own secret despair creeping up on him.

"What do you want, Haldir. Did you come here to break my heart once more. Do not bother, it is already lined in pieces and no force can bring it back again." Stinah kicked his horse's shins but Haldir held it's reins still, not letting his lover go. Not yet.

"Stinah, I am so sorry, but I told you before that my heart is a tricky vessel. Did you expect for me to be faithful to you for a long time. Can't you forgive me just this once, meleth-nin. I will try my best not to stray from our love again." Haldir touched Stinah's cheek and other elf flinched at that gesture.

"Love, what love. You do not love me Haldir. Admit it, you love yourself best. I wish you happiness in your happy life and be sure that your foul action destroyed mine. Do not come after me, Haldir. I do not want to see your face anymore." Stinah's horse started running as Haldir released his grip on it. Stinah didn't care to look back. If he did, he would have saw that Haldir had dropped to his knees, holding the tears inside which were threatening to break.

END FLASHBACK

"I will never love again, Semar. Haldir destroyed all the joys I once felt as the carefree elfling. Do you know why I always avoided that strange elf Valandil, at every meeting or celebration. It is because he was the one who made love to Haldir that day when I caught him cheating on me. I wish they are both cursed to hell, and I will make sure I avoid Haldir while he is staying here. I only wish that my heart would listen to me on that matter."
