Ch17



The two of them sat quietly until legolas sighed and moved away a bit
"Is that wine?"

Aragorn looked into the basket and smiled as he handed his love the
bottle, then blinked surprised as Legolas opened it, put the bottle to
his lips, took four long deep swallows and then took a deep breath "I
was an elfling, of only 23...a nine year old by mortal standards..."

Aragorn silently turned to face him more and crossed his legs as he
thought 'Oh Valar...he is going the direct blurting aproch...remember
to just listen and try not to upset him...'

Realizing that his love was looking right at him, Legolas nervously ran
his hand through his hair and sighed deeply "I...I was in my Adars
study. He had decided that since I was shy and a little distant, he
wished to bond with me more and took to reading to me..." The prince
then rolled his eyes and sadly chuckled "...though they were the most
technical and boring tales imaginable about war and such...I loathed it
and decided that this morning I would take action and save myself from
this mind numbing torture and as he turned to retrieved what I deemed
to be the thickest book in all of Arda...I...I jumped off his balcony
into the nearest tree and fled"

Aragorn lightly snorted and Legolas smiled at the humor of the
situation, then licked his lips and shook his head "I continued from
tree to tree, then finally dropped down to the ground and walked. I was
young and the area that I walked was unfamiliar so of course, being an
elfling I Had to explore and make friend with all the new trees I met.
After a while, I realized that I was lost and that is when I heard the
sky yell and it suddenly became dark..."

The prince stopped and tilted his head to his loves expression "What"

Aragorn shook his head confused "The sky yelled?"

Legolas snorted, then nodded amused "Nai, I told you...I was an elfling
and thunder to me seemed like the sky was upset"

Aragorn nodded his understanding "When I was a child, I always thought
that the stars were fighting and that is why the sky wept"

The prince laughed and sighed "Aye, then you understand, for my
thoughts were similar...anyway, I became frightened and knew that I
would be getting soaked soon...I did not know my way back and knew that
my Adar would come to look for me so I decided to stay there. I saw a
cave close by and decided that it would be a good place to stay
dry...so I stomped over, making sure that my tracks were very deep for
my Adar to find me and made my way to the cave..."

Aragorn swallowed hard when he noticed Legolas reach for the wine and
took another two deep swallows of the dark red liquid and whispered
"Are you sure you wish to continue melanin?"

Legolas held up his hand and shook his head "I need to tell you this
Ayagoon, if we are to be close...you will need to understand my past,
for some of my reactions may confuse you"

Aragorn nodded and smiled kindly "Go on then melanin"

The prince then furrowed his brow and bit his lip "Uh...where was I?"

Aragorn lightly chuckled "You just entered the cave"

Legolas took a deep breath and shrugged "Ahh...well, nai...uh...Oh nai,
I had nothing to make a fire so I just sat at the entrance and watched
for my Adar. A short time later though, I saw four edain running in my
direction. Realizing that they were coming to the cave to seek shelter,
I got nervouse...as I said, I was young and had only seen mortal edain
from a distance when I peeked into my Adars throne room when he was
talking with them, it was a small cave and not very deep...I tried to
hide towards the back and wedged myself into a dent in the wall..."

The prince then swallowed hard and sighed "They entered the cave and I
just kept thinking that my Adar would be there soon...or at least some
of the warriors he would have sent out in search of me. It was then
that they made a fire, the cave lit up and when they looked around,
they spotted me...I...I did not like the looks they were giving
me...there smiles were not...well, they did not feel like friendly
smiles, so I bolted for the entrance..."

Aragorn shifted and tried to control the pained look on his face as
Legolas cleared his throat "They uh...they caught me and...and dragged
me back to the fire..."

Legolas gently plucked at the hem of his tunic and sadly shrugged "I
wriggled loose and made for the entrance again but one of them blocked
the way and another grabbed me again and...they...they held me down and
tore my cl...clothes from me. I was so frightend...they were touching
me all over and I could not understand what they were saying...I yelled
'Daro' but they just laughed and...and one of them put his fingers in
me while another pu...pu...put his member in my mouth and the one that
grabbed me the first time began to stro...stroke my..."

Legolas angrily whipped the tears from his eyes on his sleeve and
growled "I was just an elfling!! I did not understand the sensations my
body was experiencing and I was frightened on top of it! I...I then
noticed that the one standing by the entrance and removed his leggings
and he knelt down between my legs and...and he rubbed his...he rubbed
it against my...and then he pushed and the tip...the tip entered me and
I screamed so loud!"

Aragorn took a deep breath as he slowly wiped his tears and Legolas
shook his head "It was then that an arrowhead suddenly appeared in the
center of his chest, and as he fell to the side of me I saw my Adar
drop his bow and pull his sword...and he just kept screaming over and
over "What
have you done to my Greenleaf!!"..."

Legolas slowly repositioned himself to Aragorns cross legged position
"I had Never seen my Adar so angry or heard him growl like that...with
his sword, he killed them all, he chopped off there arms, legs, and
heads as his warriors just stood and watched silently...he then flung
there parts out and into the woods. He then knelt beside me and for a
moment I was actually frightened on my own Adar...but he gently cleaned
me of there foul seed, wrapped me in a blanket and took me home. I...I
did not speak for at least a decade. And I swore there foul language
would never be spoken on my tongue"

Aragorn blinked and then whispered "But you knew some when we met and
spoke to me"

Legolas shrugged "Well of course I knew some, I picked up words here
and there, but never spoke it until I met you...I had no need"

Aragorns eyes went wide with the realization "By the Valar
Legolas...how did you not kill me, I mean, there it was...raining, I
being an adan, entering and blocking your only exit. Why did you not
just release your arrow"

The prince tilted his head "I do not know...I guess...well, when I
yelled 'Daro Adan'...you stopped cold and froze. Then you dropped your
weapons and...and something in me stired...my stomach fluttered and all
I could think of was that you looked like a soggy ferret, so pathetic
and miserable"

Aragorn chuckled and slowly drew close "I am glad you placed this trust
in me, and shared such a deep hurt. I am so sorry for what you have
endured, it angers me to no end...I love you Legolas and meant what I
said before...I will not harm you and..."

Legolas held up his hand and shook his head "For some reason I trust
you Ayagoon...from the moment I met you I knew you to be honorable..."

The prince then sighed and leaned against him "But I wish not to speak
anymore about this...not right now. Would you hold me a while before we
go and you show me this special area?"

Aragorn pulled him close and held him tight "I would hold you forever
if it would only ease your pain just a little"

Legolas nuzzled into his embrace and sighed as he thought 'Twas not as
hard as I thought to open to him...this is good'
