CH 17. Confusion and a new life is revealed

Lord Elrond picked up his daughter, looked down at the lifeless body and then at his wife. For he could not believe he had both of them back in his life. Legolas followed behind them as they took their daughter up to her room.

Idril said, “Legolas you must stay here until we call you. She will needed you when she awakens.”

Legolas did as Lady Idril stated and he paced back and forth. He waited for he knew that Larien would need him. He just realized that Chrissy meant Larien in his language. He knew that it wouldn’t be too hard to go back to Larien for he would see Chrissy or would it? He started to get confused because he wouldn’t know how to confront Larien.

Gandolf walked by and entered the room, he said, “I will help aid in Larien’s recovery.”

Lord Elrond motioned for him to come in the room. Arwen was inside the room when she saw her mother for the first time in ages.
With tears flowing out of her eyes, Arwen said, “Desh'mieve!” (Mother)

Started for a moment Idril said, “Arwen, my daring!”

They hugged and cried for a moment. Arwen looked over her shoulder and saw her beloved sister.

Arwen said softly, “I saw her though the window, her beauty illuminated the room. Her love was given freely to over come this great evil!”

Lady Idril replied, “You are right my daughter, for her love was great and we must bring her back before she fades.”

Idril’s hand brushed her daughter’s cheek and she said, “Larien come back to the light! Do not leave us.” Idril was very worried about Larien’s condition.

Lord Elrond and Lady Idril sang this Elvin lullaby that ringed throughout the room. They grabbed Arwen’s hand and formed a circle around the bed.

Chrissy awoke in a place that had all white around, it was almost blinding. She was afraid but a comforting feeling came over and she asked, “Am I dead?”

A voice came back to her and said, “No, my child, for you are very Alive!”

Chrissy didn’t know where she was and all she remembered was the battle that took place.
So Chrissy called back to the voice and said, “Why am I here?”

The voice said, “You are going to be given a choice, you can stay here in Rivendell with your family or you can go back to your life as the way it was before. For you have earned this, the evil you fought was great and powerful. Make sure to teach what you learned of me, my child, for I will always be watching over you!”

Then Chrissy saw in the distance her brother, John. He was handsome for an angel. He walked over and touched her hand.
Johns said, “I will always be with you, dear sister! We will see each other again.”

Johns hugged Chrissy and then disappeared. This was very heartwarming for her because she missmissed him dearly.
Chrissy said, “I wish to be Larien again and to have everyone back that I love, even my brother.”

The voice came back and said, “I can only grant you to be an Elf and your family. But sadly, I can not bring your brother back, John will always be in your heart, you will see him again, I promise!”

Then the voice faded and the room went black. She was disappointed but knew that GOD spoke to her and she would see her brother again.

Larien did not remember anything after that moment. Larien had been out for a month, for the great power that surged inside of her little form had drained her Elven strength.

Meanwhile, Legolas was deciding weather he should leave or stay. He did not want to leave her because he had binded his soul to her and he would fade if he left. Legolas went out to the gardens and began to weep.

Haldir went out side and saw Legolas’s hands in his face. He went over to speak to him.

Haldir said, “What troubles thee, Legolas?” He placed a hand on his shoulders.

Legolas said, “I do not know what to do, my friend! For what will happen when I see, Larien? Will I be in torment because I want Lady Chrissy?”

Haldir said compassionately to his friend, “Legolas do not beat your soul up for you will know what to say when you speak with Larien!”

Legolas spoke in confusion, “I must leave for a while, I will come back for Larien but I need time to think!” Legolas got up to run to the stables to gather his horse.

As he saw Legolas running, Haldir said, “Do not abandon the Female you love, for she will think it when she awakens.” Legolas heard what he said and just kept running.

Legolas’s heart was hurting because he knew that his very heart would fade. He loved both of them but did not understand that they were one in the same. He probably wouldn’t make it out of the borders.

Legolas rode for hours as the tears streamed down his milky face. He was in so much torture. He heard is mother’s voice talking to him in his head, “Legolas, do not run from Larien. She loves thee very much.”

So Legolas stopped and jumped down from his horse. His heart was in shambles and he could not stop the pain that poured from it. He sat down and his hands began to tremble, for he did a dreadful thing and could not believe he did the one thing he said he wouldn’t do, hurt his beloved.

This was not like Legolas to run and hide from his feelings. He knew that time was all he needed to regain himself.
Larien’s eyes finally opened and found her mother watching over her as she slept. She saw her father in the room, along with Gandolf and her sister.

All her memories came back she cried out in happiness, “Ada and Desh'mieve, I am back.” Her parents both hugged her for they had missed her dearly.

Larien now knew that her name meant Chrissy translated, for she still thought the same as before but knew where she came from and who her parents were. She was just transformed back in an Elf, which was her true nature in life.

Larien said in a gleeful tone, “Where is Legolas, for I wish to speak with him!” Gandolf went and got Legolas, as the Lady asked for him by name.

Gandolf went looking for Legolas but he could not be found. He saw Haldir out in the gardens and his face showed that he was troubled.

Gandolf asked, “Haldir, where is Legolas?”

With much anger, Haldir said, “Legolas has left because he is in much torment over Larien. He does not know which person to love!”

Gandolf was outraged at Legolas for leaving Larien at this time. She needs him and he needed her, for they would both fade, if he did not do something.

Concerned, Gandolf said, “How long ago was Legolas’s departure?”

Haldir replied, “A few hours ago, it has not been long.”

Gandolf went back into Larien’s room and asked that everyone leave for a moment. Haldir was with him when would Gandolf break the news to Larien.

The healer was in with Larien and was finishing up. Larien began to get sick to her stomach.

Sickly Larien stated, “My stomach is in knots, I feel sick, could you help me to the balcony?”

The healer picked her up and held the small frame up as she threw up. The healer thought this was unusual for her and help her back to the bed once she was done.

The healer said, “Let me examine you my Lady.”

Gandolf went out to the balcony and so did Haldir. Gandolf was about to close the door whe ohe over heard the healer say to Larien, “You are with child, my dear.”

When the exam was done, Gandolf walked over the healer and whispered, “Do not share this news with anyone yet.” The healer did what Gandolf asked of him.

Larien asked impatiently, “Where is Legolas? I have much to tell him abo-“ Her facial expression knew that something was not right. She felt his pain tremble in her heart, like a wave crashing to the shore.

Larien said softly with a blank stare, “Legolas is in deep confusion, I feel it deep with in my soul. Haldir, pick me up and take me to him.”
Gandolf could not believe that she just read his mind! He felt sorry for the female and he would make a diversion so the others would not be suspicious. Haldir gathered up Lady Larien and helped her get dressed.

Gandolf peaked out the door and motioned for Haldir to bring Lady Larien as he said, “Be careful! She is still very weak!”

Haldir nodded his head and made his way out the stables. He saw a guard approach and he said, “What business do you have carrying the ill, Lady Larien?

Larien spoke with a commanding voice, “Haldir was taking me for some fresh air, please step aside so we can get by! It’s the healers orders for me to do this.”

The guard nodded his head and did not think anything of the encounter. He went back to his duties and walked away.
Haldir said in a scared voice, “That was a close one for if he had questioned further our plan would have been spoiled.” They got on the horse and began their search for Legolas.

They rode for hours and Lady Larien fell asleep in Haldir’s arms. He had forgotten how beautiful she was and gazed upon her with happiness.

The time had slipped by and Haldir had seen Legolas a head for he rode hard for hours with out rest. He tapped Lady Larien on the shoulder to wake her up.

Haldir said, “We are approaching where Legolas is camping for the night.”

Larraisraised her head up and looked out into the distance. Legolas looked back because he had heard someone approaching from the distance. He saw that Haldir was on a horse with Lady Larien.

As they neared, Haldir jumped down from the horse, picked Larien up and placed her by a tree. She could not walk and did not have the strength to stand up.

Haldir went over to Legolas with an angry look on his face as he said, “Why did you leave? Are you that blind of your love for her? I would give anything to be with Lady Larien, however, you are the one who has won her heart!”

Legolas was shocked at Haldir because he knew that he had loved her at one point when they were Elflings, however, he was upset with him for bring her out in her condition.

Legolas face got red and he shouted, “You should not have brought her here! I wish to be left alone to sort out my affairs.”

Haldir grew tired of his excuses and pushed him to the ground. They began to scuffle on the ground and they fought. Larien saw this going on and knew she had to stop it.

Larien was trying to get up, however, her legs began to wobble, and it took all her remaining strength to balance. She walked slowly and cried out, “Stop fighting! Please for I can not take much more of this!”

Haldir and Legolas had stopped as she commanded. They both looked up at Larien for they saw the two twin tears that slipped from her eyes.

Larien glared at Legolas because she could not believe he was hurting this bad to leave. She stood their staring at him with such concern for she was hurting too.

Softly Larien said, “Legolas, please come over to me.”

Legolas got up and walked over to her as she asked him for he could not deny her anything.

With pain in her voice, Larien said, “I can not believe you would leave us! You could not have faced me, as I know why you are hurting. If you want us to end, then look at me, into my very eyes and tell me!”

He touched her face back, “I am sorry that I hurt you, it is something I must live with everyday and all the pain I put you through. I wish I could take it all away and be the one who catches all your tears. I have found a reason for me. You are my very reason for living and I need you in my life everyday.” It took all his warrior strength to not cry, however, a tear slid down.

Larien looked into his loving eyes and thought that was the sweetest words that she had ever heard. She knew that she needed him and he was also the reason for her survival everyday. She remembered the night they made love in her spirit form and knew that is why she never let another soul become that intimate with her body.

She touched his face, “My love, I need you also, nonetheless, I am still the same person you fell in love with—"

Larien felt faint and fell forward onto Legolas as she said, “Amin Mela lle, Legolas.” He caught her in his embrace, her, er, he could not take any more pain.

Legolas touched her face and said those words back, “Amin Mela lle, Larien, I don’t want us to end.” He saw her eyes light up for a moment, and then she fell back into an unconscious deep sleep.

Legolas said with a shaken voice, “Larien, wake up, please! I cannot lose you, again!” Tears streamed down his face in disbelief.
Haldir came over and said, “We must get her back to the healer. Her strength has not returned for she and the child will die if we do not return.”

Legolas could not believe his ears for he did not know she was with child. He did not care that Haldir saw him crying and he held on to her and hugged her now limb body.

Legolas said as he picked up his beloved in his arms, “I did not know of this news. I will spend everyday making this up to Larien!” They mounted up on the horse and rode fastback to Rivendell.

Back in Larien’s room, Idril came in to check on her daughter. She noticed that she was not in the bed. Idril saw someone out on the balcony. She went out side and saw Gandolf looking out into the distance.

Idril said frightened, “Gandolf where is my daughter?”

Gandolf said with concern in his tone, “Legolas left this morning due to the confusion of Larien. He was in much despair for he loves Larien. I spoke to Larien this morning and explained to her why he was upset. She insisted of me not to tell you that she went in search of finding him to sort out this mess.”

Idril was angry with him and said, “I cannot believe you let her leave, Larien strength has not returned. She will die if her body is not healed properly. This is unlike you, Gandolf.”

Gandolf said something that made her calm down, “If that was Lord Elrond, your beloved husband, in utter confusion, would you do the same?”

Idril thought for a moment and said, “I would do anything in my power to protect my husband.”
I lef left the room and told Lord Elrond of their daughter’s escapade. He sent a party of Elven guards to search for them and brought the healer.

It was getting dark and the two were riding hard to get Larien back so she could be treated. Legolas was sad because he caused her to come all the way out to help him understand that they belong together. He wanted so badly to go back in time this very moment.

They heard horses near and knew that Lord Elrond would send out help as soon as he knew of the departure of his daughter. The elves drew near and they had the healer with them.

Legolas stopped his horse from running and got down with Lady Larien in his arms. He saw the healer running towards him.
The Healer looked at the sleeping Elf Maiden and said, “How long has she been out?”

Legolas said sadly, “It’s been a few hours.”

The Healer asked Legolas to lay her down on the ground. The Healer placed a blanket down on the ground. Legolas looked upon her face and laid the limb body down.

The healer spoke chanting words, mixed up some herbs and whispered in her ear to drink the medicine. Larien started to come around after about a half an hour. She did not speak but knew that her and the child growing insides life had almost ended this day.

They rested there for the night and at first daybreak everyone left back to Rivendell. They finally arrived and Larien was rushed back up to her room. The whole event tired her body out and put a set back on her recovery. She slept for a couple of weeks to regain the strength she lost.
golagolas had explained everything to Lord Elrond and Lady Idril. They knew he was in confusion of the situation, nonetheless, they were not upset with Legolas.

Gandolf told him in a separate conversation that now they could be together and he explained the whole situation to Legolas.

Larien finally awoke from the trauma that it caused on her body. She hoped that Legolas would be there when she awoke.

However, he was not in the room. Her heart was sad and decided to ask for him.

Larien asked her mother eagerly, “Is Legolas here in Rivendell?”
